Good morning….so how do you like my “new look”? I love my new blog and want to thank Shari over at littlebluedeer (www.littlebluedeer.com)…..she is fantastic and I highly recommend her to anyone considering a “blog makeover”. I am off to the New York gift show, which I always look forward to! And, of course will be sure to take my camera and snap away at anything that is inspirational and worth sharing here. Hopefully I will have a lot to show you tomorrow!

I have long admired the work of Timothy Corrigan and think he is most definitely one of the most talented and gifted designers out there, hence the reason Architectural Digest named him one of the 100 most talented designers in the world! The post I did yesterday on the two incredible French chateaus that he restored, speaks for themselves. I am going to divide this post into two parts because I have a lot of pictures to share and its too many for one day (don’t want to overwhelm the senses).

So for today I am featuring front entry and living room pictures. Tomorrow we will check out his dining rooms and bedrooms. I find his work so inspirational and I can look at these pictures over and over and not get tired of them. I love how timeless his rooms feel, that they have an “old new look” where not everything has to be perfect and sparkly…there is a lot of character to each of these rooms. His rooms are the kind of rooms that keep you wanting to dissect and study every little detail, absorb the beauty and make it your own. I would love to hear what you think and of course, if you have a favorite…..

Fabulous foyer…love how he arranged the console table, lantern and that mirror is gorgeous!

How beautiful is the paneling color here….so soothing to the eye, and that rug!

Hope you will visit tomorrow as I will feature some spectacular dining rooms and bedrooms by this very talented designer. Hope you have an enchanting day! Let me know if you had a favorite room…..for me it would be a toss up between Timothy’s own living room, the living room that I wrote “I absolutely love” with all the books, and the foyer with the antlers. All beautiful!

Such a pretty blog! Love this post too, I am familiar with his work and he is absolutely a real talent in the design world. My favorite room would have to be that walnut library. I have a thing for gorgeous libraries that look old, really beautiful post!

Tim is so talented, that paneling in gray, the barrel ceiling, so much beauty!!

Tina,

All dressed up and no people to show. This is like a fashion show of interiors just amazing. How can you select a single favorite?

Luckily in blogosphere you can have it all in one place. Stunning.

HI there! I came over from Kathy Sue’s and wanted to say hi! Now I never want to leave:):) These pictures are gorgeous! I can’t wait to see YOUR dream house as you do it too!!!! I will be your newest follower. XO, Pinky

Love that first image, the console and bench, that medallion in the background….come to Mama! And that hallway with the barrel ceiling, may I please sit in there for a while and dream? I could in all honesty be very happy simply living in that hallway! I have to admit I’m not a real big fan of the lattice work going on in some of the rooms, a tad to busy looking for my taste and looks to be dated already. My very favorite image would have to be your understated elegant room/hall. That rough bare door, everything just works for me and did you see all the lanterns in the mirror? Fabulous! I hope you had fun in the city today!

Debra,

I love your blog & am a loyal reader from the start. I simply loved my time in Paris & you brought it all back for me. I am also a huge fan of Timothy’s work ever since I saw his restored chateau in the Loire Valley. I can’t wait for part 2! We are lucky that your home isn’t finished! I hope you continue your blog after it is. BTW, my favorite pic is: “Absolutely love this living room” I’m glad we have the same refined taste!

thanks for stopping by my blog… am SOOO glad you did! will definitely be following you here:) lovely inspiration. can’t wait to hear about your adventures in designing your dream home… maybe we can chat about it over a dr. pepper;)

Timothy Corrigan as a real talent – some of his designs are a bit over the top for me but I certainly appreciate his work. I’m with Debra – my favorite is the “understated elegant” front hall – just stunning!

What a round up of super fabulous spaces. My favorite was the one where you “absolutely love this living room”…and then I got to end and saw that you had the some thoughts! How was your visit to the NYIGF yesterday?

Thanks for your visit to Dovecote. I’m with Quintessence, it is a bit unlivable for me. Give me a cozy room, with no silks or bright gold. I am a fan of trelliage. I am waiting for my first opportunity to use it.
Best,
Liz
