And a happy Tuesday morning to you! Hope everyone has recovered from their Memorial day weekends and that they were enjoyable. The sun ended up coming out here after all and we had such a great time at our friends house, I wish I had taken my camera! She did such an amazing job…and her backyard looks like a posh resort. Despite the oppressive humidity and heat, we all had a wonderful time in the great outdoors……hope yours was relaxing as well.
Bathrooms have never been as big as they are right now,. They have become major focal points in decorating. Bathrooms today are outfitted with more bells and whistles and lets face it with life’s stresses there are few things that can soak away your troubles and worries like a deep soak in a wonderful luxurious bathtub! Is there anything better than closing the door to the chaos and stress raging outside your bathroom door, and at least temporarily forgetting your troubles by luxuriating in your own beautiful bathroom! I don’t think so.
Add a beautiful tub to a luxurious bathroom laden with gorgeous marble flooring, just the right wood trim, a fabulous vanity and/or dressing table, luxurious plump towels, maybe a beautiful little chandelier, or light fixture and I would say you have yourself a little slice of heaven. This post is all about a getaway of sorts, of which I like to write about often but this one is in your very own home…your bathroom! Check these beauties out…do you have a favorite? Do you have special design secrets that you would care to share on how to create the ultimate bathroom?

The baths by Karly Pierce Paxton, and one Penelope Bianchi were my favorites. All of these are so beautiful. Baths are certainly given more thought these days.
Hope that your week is off to a great start.

Good morning, Tina!

How are you doing today?

This is a fabulous post! I love beautiful bathrooms and I don’t see any that I don’t like here. There something special in all of them. Great choices!

I didn’t have to scroll at all, but of course I did. Bath #1 would be my dream. Love the understated non cluttered creamy perfection. The walk in shower and floor are making me swoon! I am glad you weren’t rained out for your party. Maybe you snapped a few pics with you phone you might share?????
Hope your week is great.

You know what I love about your blog? ALLL THE PHOTOS! You show the good and the bad and while I hesitate to load lots of pics, I always fall right into your posts and am thrilled to see so many examples.

Thanks for all the work!

I just wanted to tell you that.

The bath’s designed by the Palm Design Group were among my favorites. I need to check them out. Nothing better than a really clean feeling beautiful bathroom. Love to unwind in the tub at the end of a long day. Have a great week. Mona

Oh my, so many of these are swoonworthy Tina, where to start? The Nunnerly and Nesbitt are probably my favorites, but for sheer drama boat-shaped tub overlooking the water is Number One. But for some reason I think I like the one you describe as “pared down elegance” from Christina Murphy, it sends out wonderful vibes of peace and solace and warmth.

So glad you enjoyed the weekend, it sounds like dinner at your friend’s house was delightful, we all need that!

Sending you a smile for the week to come,
tp

Love so many of these it would be hard to pick just one, but in terms of sheer luxury the first one is amazing
and the Nunerly bathrooms are all very elegant.
Such a great collection, makes me want to go and
rip up my own bathroom TODAY! haha….for now
my boring beige marble will have to do:-)
LP

Oh My I will take one of each please!! Bathrooms are my all time favorite rooms to design. I don’t have a big and grand room in my home, but I still used quality tiles and amenities just the same. My guest bath is black granite and carrera marble with an antique piece for the sink. My very small master bath, I like to call it Small but spa like has ocean colored mosaic tile and I love the soothing colors in it!! I think many people don’t attempt making small baths luxurious because they are small. I went for it and I am so glad I did. You can see my baths over on my sidebar if you would like to see them. Nothing Big and grand and as wonderful as your beautiful baths, but they sure are pretty!!!! Kathysue

Tina,
How wonderful all these gorgeous bathrooms! To me this is one of the most important spaces of a home and defintely for a woman isn’t it!! I so love the panneled bath tubes!!
Thank you for all these images! I filed a lot of them!!

I post anonymous because of problems with blogger!

Beautiful bathrooms – all of them! I love the ones with a gorgeous view – to me that is the ultimate indulgence, although I really liked the one with the outdoor courtyard too – very nice!!!

Hi Tina,
I do love a gorgeous bathroom and am in need of inspiration for our redo. I have a thing for marble….so the one by Nancy Boszhardt speaks to me….probably a different color of marble for me, but the overall look – LOVE!

A glass of bubbly and a bubble bath sound like my ideal way to end any day!

Cheers!
xo Elizabeth

Great minds think alike – I am working on a bathroom post too, working out a few issues, and am using many of the same images. Actually, you have introduced me to a few new images that beautifully illustrate what I am thinking about! Thank you. You truly have the most amazing image library!

Hope all is well!

How lovely! I love all of the bathrooms with the big windows and natural light. My husband bought what is now our house before we got married and the first thing he did was take out the bathtub and build a giant man shower. I mean, really? Unbelievable! Now I dream of a big beautiful bathtub daily. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Tina, too hard to pick a favourite here! But I really like the bath tubs with a view.. I can just imagine myself there with a glass of champagne 🙂 Have a lovely week!

Kristin xx’s

So many beautiful ones I don’t think I could choose but I must say I think I like when a tub is enclosed on the sides – I like feeling enveloped rather than exposed!!

Those are all gorgeous–the blues in the Moorish bathroom really stood out to me! My parents have the biggest jacuzzi tub in there bathroom that I’ve EVER seen and have a chandelier over it–I absolutely love taking a long hot bath, with just the dim chandelier on!

Tina I love the very 1st and then the Snyder bath…they are all glorious!

This has to be the most beautiful collection of bathrooms I have ever seen! If I was forced to choose I think it would have to be the first one – I love absolutely everything about it.

i am always drawn to the look of the bathroom by
Christopher Noto.
it’s what i would do blindfolded.
i am working on a sleeker look with antiques for accents.
again…
as i always say….
what are you going to do?
xx

Our master bath is my favorite room in our house. Lots of white marble, a big tub, and a pretty vintage chair to stack towels on. I’m sure yours in your new home will be gorgeous!
Happy June!
Jeanne

Any one of these tubs would suit me since I love soaking! We have a wonderful old claw foot tub that sits in front of a window and overlooks our side yard/field. It’s wonderful to sit in there during the summer with the breeze gently blowing the linens curtains while daydreaming. You know I think I need a soak….lol. Beautiful post!

Hi Tina; So happy to read your Memorial Day was a happy one. I so can relate to the muggy, high-temps & today is no different. Each bathroom had it’s own wonderful, unique elements & I would be honored to have anyone in my home. What I would love in the ideal bath is a tub overlooking a view (Vicente Wolfe’s bath was gorgeous) a beautiful but comfy chair, a fireplace and a bar size fridge. Oddly enough my favorite was also what seemed the most nostalgic & that was Cathy Kincaid’s design. Thank you for the visual delight of your terrific post. I now do crave a bubble bath and a glass of Veuve Clicquot!!
Cheers x Deb
