Good morning!! Hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful, healthy and happy Thanksgiving holiday!?So who else was reaching for their pants with the elastic waist this morning? I was and likely will be for the next few days, I cannot lie. ?But it was sooooo worth every bite, every calorie and every minute spent eating my most favorite meal of the year with my beloved family. It was truly a relaxing day, spent doing nothing but reminiscing, playing a few board games, watching a favorite movie and of course?we had to oblige my father and watch a little football!! Hoping yours was equally relaxing and wonderful. So lets get started with this weeks house updates and things I ?am loving.

HOUSE UPDATES. Things are really moving and shaking at the house. The big news this week is the front door/entrance, it is really coming together and I am loving how its turning out. It makes such a huge difference now in the front facade of the house. When they are done with that, then we have to add the spires to the corners of the rooftop and facade wise we are pretty much done! ? I was bummed, naturally that we were not there for Thanksgiving however I have come to grips with it and now concentrating on getting there by Christmas! So we are starting to slowly pack up a bit, and I do realize that even when we do move, hopefully in a few weeks, ?we will still have plenty of work going on, but we should have the kitchen/breakfast room and family room completed as well as the kids bedrooms and a guest room. That is good enough for me. They will continue to work while we are living there and something tells that the work pace might just get stepped up a little with us underfoot! So below is this weeks happenings……..

Front entrance is finally coming along!!
We are now waiting for the top half….

The right facade window is complete

They are working now on the inside of the tower

So nice to finally see it looking near completed!

Family room, floors sanded getting stained on Monday, then all we have to do is wait for mantle
Dining room floors just got sanded, now we are waiting for stain to be done on Monday

My closet in progress
I think an island is very functional but I keep going back and forth if I really want it, or just put a big oversized?tufted ottoman there in its place
The doors waiting to be painted then they will be hung
Hubby’s vanity is done!

Upstairs railing from landing

Door knobs
Stair hall, the coloring is a little off here, it looks orangey, it is not trust me

Laundry room

A WALK DOWN MEMORY LANE. Nothing like pictures to “take you back”. I, ?six or seven years ago didn’t put many pictures on my computer, at that point I was still getting them developed in my local stores, ?wow that sounds so antiquated! But I did find a few, of my old house and wanted to share them with you. It was so much fun remembering it, and all of the great memories,?I have there. I thought you might want to see these too…..so walk down memory lane with me!

I love this sideboard! My dining room all decked out for Christmas….

My dining room

A foyer console

The rear part of the foyer

Our living room, regrettably we started to furnish last so this was the least “decorated room” in the house, hence the lack of window treatements, and the owners ended up buying almost all the furniture! This was the living room in progress, right before we sold it.

Christmas was in the air!
ST. HELENA OLIVE OIL COMPANY. Have written about them before but got a few gifts recently from them for the “foodies” in my life. And I must say their products really are fabulous, fairly priced and tell me one person who doesn’t want to get something from beautiful Napa Valley!! I also like that this small boutique operation is run by a small family, and has been for 15 years who has stayed true to their core mission of delivering high quality products and supporting the farm to table movement. Its also nice giving something you know they can’t find anywhere else around here. This year they introduced an all natural bath/body care line as well. I like the simple organic looking packaging, do you??Click here to visit.
The Classic Vinaigrette, comes with balsamic, sea salt, olive oil ?and peppercorns
Ultimate body care gift set
Pasta Pasta set
Oil herb dipping oil

CUSTOM WINE LABELS AS GIFTS. Oh boy…. I had fun with?this company which I just found out about a few weeks ago. Have a wine lover in your life? How about giving them a favorite wine with their own custom label attached? Such a neat and creative idea, also great for parties! I also got the matching coasters. You can get creative with what you add on the text lines….This is a great company with endless possibilities for all kinds of labels, but I thought the??wine labels were particularly great. I am really into giving personalized gifts this year, so these were perfect for those that enjoy wine. ?Click here to visit.?
For a good friend
Did this one for my sister

BEST FOLLOWERS. Yep, this is one thing I am REALLY loving this week more than ever! ?I just want to say with regard to the “drama” of last week, I try to see the silver lining in everything and in that situation, it was the?UNBELIEVABLE?outpouring of support I received from fellow bloggers, readers and followers. Just this morning many days after I still got a few more emails…..I was overwhelmed by it frankly. ?You made me realize how special blogging is and reminded me of what an amazing group of people make up this community. So, I just wanted to thank you once again. I consider myself to be very lucky to have you.

? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ???Nice?and positive people only please!!

Wishing everyone a happy day….and would love to know if there is anything you are loving or have discovered that you want to share! Any great resources for gifts for the holidays? Is anyone taking advantage of the black Friday sales that you cannot help but notice and hear about? I mean, shopping at midnight is so out of my realm of possibilities….beyond the craziness of it, I am wiped out and ready for bed these days at 10 or 11 max, did anyone go midnight shopping? Wishing you a wonderful day.

We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. The house is coming along. The floors look just beautiful. thanks for sharing your old house pictures. Wow was that stunning. Now you have hit on a huge favorite of ours. St Helena Oil Company. We have had such great times visiting the store and sampling the olive oils and salts. The olive oils have been under many Christmas tree’s. We even read all the blog post from the time spent in Italy. Have a great day.

Your home is really coming along and trust me you’ll be “picking” at things for a year after you move in but that’s half the fun. No midnight shopping for me either the last few days have been fun but long and I’m usually in bed by ten. Glad you had such an enjoyable holiday, enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Good Morning!

What a lovely Black Friday post. I am trying to sneak a few of my favorite blogs in before the 2 year old calls my name. The word UP will be added after it and then my day goes DOWNhill from there (at least the personal end of getting anything done-lol). He is SOOOO worth it!

Your old house was gorgeous, too. I loved your dining room..and your appointments were exquisite. Do you know we sold our 2nd to last house completely furnished right down to the dishes and paintings? Made moving easier…and I got to keep all my personal things that I couldn’t leave behind.

I am so happy that everyone in blogland turned out in support-it’s a great group of people we have around us here, isn’t it?

Happy Friday to you- NO Black Friday shopping for this gal! xo Diana

Tina, the house looks sensational. The outsideis just incredbile, reminds me of being back in France. The attention to detail is off the charts. Love everything inside too, just breathtaking.
Thanks for the great and unique gift ideas, especially the wine labels, my parents would love those.
Last your old home was so amazing too and very very elegant. It must have been hard to leave:-) Were you the int. designer? Amazing job. Hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving. (and yes wearing my yoga pants as we speak). Have fun.

Loved seeing your former home! Being in the antique business, those are the spaces that inspire us! We imagine the best pieces going into homes lovingly planned and executed – just like yours!

No black Friday shopping for me thank you. I think its one big gimmick personally. I like my online shopping right from my very own home, no parking hassles, fighting the mobs of people or prowling for close parking spots.
Your home is a dream, a total dream. I love the colorations of the brick with the limestone. Really specatcular. You must be so excited now. Your old home was really beautiful too, so many beautiful touches. Very elegant, just like your blog!

your home is really looking finished! thanks for taking us on a little field trip of you previous home. I hope you had a beautiful Thanksgiving! Sorry this note is…disjointed…iPad!
Xo Yvonne

I would definitely keep the island in the dressing room – I think you will find it very handy for laying things out, packing etc. Love the packing on the St. Helena products – will have to pop over there now before all the kids wake up!!

Wow, great post! The entrance is beyond grand, it is stunning! You have to walk around in a ball gown in your house, it is that grandiose! I can see how you would spend hours pouring over every single detail, there is so much!! I get excited every week to see all the new additions. The dining room floor is so gorgeous, can’t wait to see it stained and varnished.

I would keep the island in the dressing room, you can put a beautiful crystal vase with fresh flowers on it, it would be just lovely. (Never mind that it’s handy, that’s all I would want it for, to put fresh flowers, lol!)

Wow, and your old house was not too shabby either! What a foyer!

Wow, wow, and wow…your house is just so beyond anything I’ve ever seen in ‘real life’- the floors are so incredible and the woodwork…just amazing. I’m so jealous over that closet of yours- I think the island is great but what about adding a little tufted settee in there too…just to get that fabulously decadent girliness:) Also incredibly envious of the laundry room- sigh…how I would love a gorgeous room like that to do my laundry in!! Thank you for sharing all of these pictures- just incredible!

WOW the house looks so so beautiful. I am in love officially. I will have to show my husband what I want for next Christmas:-) Your old house was incredible too, you have such a lovely taste level, it is so elegant but somehow its warm too. I feel that when I see the pictures.
I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving with your family, we did and ate a little too much but were lucky and got to ski a little in the afternoon which was so much fun.
Keep up the great work, really enjoy seeing these updates.

Oh Tina,

I am so happy…soooooooo HAPPY FOR YOU!!!!!!!! First of all, I am very grateful to you for turning your MOTHER on to my blog!!! Bless her heart…does she have a blog? I am very happy that she enjoys it! OK, now for this copious post. Tina, your former home is just stunning, and thank you for inviting us in!!! BUT LOOK AT THE NEW DIGS! You have GOT TO BE ANXIOUS TO GET IN! I am hoping with all my heart that you will be sitting in your new dining room by Christmas Eve, eating and drinking and making merry for all that God has granted to you…and again, I would be RUNNING AROUND THAT HOUSE with a Cinderella dress and tiara! OH YEAH! Last night for Thanksgiving, I wore a darling apron that a kind blogger pal sent me, I had on a FABULOUS (fake) diamond necklace and MY TIARA! OH YEAH! I am totally serious. Promise me, please get into that house soon and let’s have a housewarming party for you! LET ME KNOW and I will host one for ya!

MUCH LOVE TO YOU ON THIS FABULOUS DAY and ehem…I am wearing my ROOMY sweatpants today!!!!

Anita

Dear Tina your home is magnificent! I shouldn’t think that many people can refer to their tower – how exciting – I don’t think I know anyone else with a tower!!! I have never seen such a huge family room (actually I have never seen so many huge rooms in one house)! I can’t wait to see how you decorate and feel sure it will be with great grandeur and opulence as you have in your current house! Can’t wait for the next instalment! Hugs and belated Happy Thanksgiving from an old farmhouse in England – Glenda xxx

Your home is coming along so nicely – I can’t wait to see those dining room floors once they have been stained, and I love your laundry room.

Thanks for sharing pictures of your previous home all decked out for the holidays!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Your old house was so beautiful too!! I loved seeing the pictures.
Would you mind sharing who makes the door knobs in your new house? And where is the fabric from that hung in your old foyer? Looks like a stripe.
Thank you so much!!
Stephanie

Gosh. Just beautiful! I love the floors in the dining room! I love doing laundry (strange I know), so I could live in the laundry room. And don’t even get me started on that lovely closet! Dreamy!! So neat to see it all coming together!

Tina, The construction is coming along and it shouldn’t be much longer before you are moving into this magnificent home! Your previous home was also beautiful and I loved seeing it decorated for Christmas.
Hugs,
Sherry

I could move into your laundry room. Just sayin’. Tina – this is an absolutely spectacular castle you have here. I can only imagine how eager you are to move in. I’m just as eager to see the finished product! Thanks for taking us on this journey with you.
Jordana

holy macaroni! One gorgeous home! I think we’re all picturing ourselves in such a beauty as we read about it =) Can’t wait to see it all decked out for Christmas!

Tina, I love your other home too!! It is so fun to see where you use to reside!! It looked so warm and inviting!!! Always fun to follow along with you on your new home too. Today is the official start of the Fa-la-la season!!! Let the games begin. ♪♫♪♫♫♪

Wow…love the progress. And now that I saw your closet, I am officially jelous lol. It was very cool to see your previous home too. Hope you had a lovely Thansgiving. xx

Beautiful post Tina! Cannot wait to see pictures when you get all moved in. Even your “old” house is stunning! Like one of the others above I would love to know about those gorgeous doorknobs as well. Also, would you mind sharing where you found those lovely crystal light fixtures for your powder room that you showed us a few days ago? So exquisite!!! Thanks so much and have a fabulous day!

Tina these wine labels are coming a pefect time, we are planning a wine tasting themed 50th party for my husband in Feb. and these would be perfect we are giving out a bottle as the favor and I found a company that does the labels but they are not nearly as cute as these so thank you, am definitely going to have to order these.
Your house, oh your house. There are no words, it makes me feel speechless, which as my husband would say doesn’t happen often. It is truly spectacular in every way, from every inch of the outside to every single detail inside. That front door entrance of stone is UNREAL. Did you get the design from a building in France or Europe?
I may have missed it but did you share what color you painted your laundry room? It is such a great color.
Your closet looks like its going to be the bomb, as my 12 year old would say!
Enjoy it, I know its stressful but this is a once in a lifetime opportunity and how lucky for all of us that we get to share it with you. Hope your Thanksgiving was a happy one.

Hi Tina! Loved your house updates! Your closet looks amazing! I would keep the center console…I also loved your pictures of your last home! it was so nice to see how your decorated and what you’re going to do with your new home! You are truly blessed! I’m with you….there is no way in **** I will go out at midnight to shop! I’d rather pay extra and shop the next morning. Thanksgiving wipes me out and I would have no energy to shop after stuffing myself! Hahaha! Many of my friends went late night shopping and asked me to join them and I politely said no thank you…I did go shopping today though around 8:15 AM after I visited my grandfather. I of course wen to J.Crew and bought a few amazing things! Then I headed to The Limited which I never shop there normally buy found a very chic cream sweater and a pair of beautiful earrings all half off! Had fun…now I’m home sipping a cup of coffee with hazelnut and checking out the blogs! Love ya! Have a great weekend! xoxo. Desiree

Tina-
I am so excited for you! I can’t believe how close you are to moving in!
I am sure that all of our blogging friends agree that we would love the old home too! Just beautiful.
I am happy that you were able to rest and visit on Thanksgiving. You deserve a break.
Teresa
xoxo

Tina,

Happy Friday! Sounds like you are enjoying down time and family. Love the updates it’s just one great thing after another. How fun. Front facade looks fantastic as do the wood floors, back stair area, door knobs and the laundry room.

Love the look back down memory lane and your closet will really set the tone for you each day add everything you can think of for this vital space.

No black friday shopping for me. Working on finishing up projects for clients…it’s all good fun. Had a Grateful Thanksgiving. Gift ideas are perfect for those individuals that pull on your creativity where gifts are concerned.

Enjoy this lovely weekend!

Bette

so glad to hear you had a wonderful thanksgiving! The house looks gorgeous and I’m sure your thrilled to be moving in soon. Your old home was lovely as well. Isn’t funny to think we didn’t used to have all of our pictures at hand on the computer? It’s so easy now to look back and go through old memories!

Your former home was very pretty! No “in person” Black Friday shopping for me. Today I did a bit of online shopping and got some great things. Holiday decorations at Wisteria and two pairs of boots and a coat (at a pretty good deal) on Neiman Marcus website. Other than that – I’m avoiding any place that has a retail shop near it today!!

Your home just gets more and more fabulous as it nears completion. Your old house was lovely too, but I would have had a hard time giving up that fabulous crystal chandelier in the stairwell. Thanks for the gift suggestions. I went to a friend’s house for Thanksgiving (one of the difficulties of living in FL and having my sons in NYC is missing out on a family Thanksgiving). Some of the guests left at 6 pm to wait in line until Best Buy opened at midnight. I am sorry, there is nothing I want that much. I hope you had a lovely day with your family yesterday, Tina.
Best…Victoria

Woah! The entrance is beyond gorgeous, isn’t it? I loved seeing how far the limestone has come and it is such a pretty entrance with the tower. I love the house! I know you are going to LOVE living there and be pinching yourself that you are finally in your dream home. It was so fun looking at your old house pics, with all the draperies and chandys and carpets~so beautiful! The best is yet to come~enjoying this trip with you so very much!

Tina, I love the laundry room and ALL the marble. I have it in my kitchen and can’t wait to put it in my masterbath. No black Friday shopping for me. Went to the Macy’s Day parade downtown to watch my daughter 😉 Seattle NFL Cheerleader – on this perfect day with gorgeous blue skies – and BTW the sky always looks so beautiful in your house shots, love it – enjoy the long weekend.

I was wondering if you’d pull an all-nighter for black friday, considering how much you love a good bargain – and coffee! 🙂 I save myself for the after-xmas specials.

Your outdoor facade is looking good, and will look even better once we see smoke billowing out the chimney tops…like a BREATH of life.

After fantasizing about wardrobe closets this week, I totally understand your indecision 🙂

Lastly, one gift I like to give to my foodie friends (and myself) is Blis Bourbon Barrel Maple Syrup from BlisGourmet.com It’s really delicious and comes in a pretty wax sealed bottle. The shipping’s costly, so buy a few.

Hello from Melbourne, Australia,
I am enjoying every minute reading your wonderful blog and drooling over the photos of your home which is truly magnificent. So different to the Australian style of home! Loving everything and thank you for sharing with us all in blog world.

Amazing progress Tina! I don’t know if it is my having missed a few posts when I was ill, or it is simply that time when everything really comes together – either way, it is fabulous.

The dining room floors are exquisite, cannot wait to see them stained, and the front door is even nicer than I imagined! I will be intrigued to see where you go with your closet, island vs. ottoman, tough call. The laundry room is going to be an outstanding space, I like the way it looks.

Best of all, you enjoyed a nice, relaxing Thanksgiving, that’s the very best part of today’s post!
tp

Tina, it’s looking just amazing. I am crossing my fingers that you will indeed be able to be home for Christmas! I’m glad you enjoyed Thanksgiving — I’m still in a bit of a food coma myself, but that didn’t stop me from having pie for breakfast and a turkey sandwich for lunch before we make a dash to catch a ferry and spend the rest of the holiday at the beach. I hope your weekend is wonderful, and I’m looking forward seeing more progress on your house in the coming weeks!! XO

Tina, I just have to say the front facade is so beautiful. The detail is awesome. You are so fortunate.
Regarding the drama..at the end of the day this will be your home regardless of what anyone may like or not like about it. Most of this boiled down to a discussion about material things and that is not what really matters in life. There are so many more important issues going on. I don’t understand why you let this person get to you and why you devoted so much time & energy on it. However, You did the right thing by not revealing this individual as this may have hurt their career or reputation and that would ultimately hurt their family. So kudos for to you for that. I would kindly suggest that in the furture, if someone says something you do not like, just delete and do not give it so much thought & power.
Ps. Williams Sonoma & Pottery Bran have their Thanksgiving bird plates & soup bowls on sale.

Hi Tina, haven’t been by in a bit, so busy with work and a move ourselves but had to check in and WOW am I glad I did. Cannot believe how far its come, spectacular is the only word that comes to mind, really a perfect castle/house. And your hold home is just beautiful too, your taste is so wonderful, I simply cannot wait to see all that you will do in the new house!
Great wine labels. What a clever idea. And as far as nice readers, apparently I missed out on something so will backtrack, sorry to hear of anything that upset you though, and seems you worked through it. Hope your Thanksgiving was fantastic. Such a great post.

It is so much fun watching your beautiful home come to life! I hope you have many awesome memories there. Black Friday? no way!!!

Your house is a work of art and I am so enjoying watching it take shape! No midnight shopping for me either. I can barely think straight by the time 10pm rolls around. Of course, I am up at the crack of dawn these days but the last thing I want to do is battle the crowds to go shopping. I can’t think of anything I want THAT bad!

I know you are going to be so excited when your gorgeous home is complete, but I was thinking today how much I look forward to these updates…so fun!! Thrilled you were able to relax with family for a day – isn’t it the best holiday…just love the time together. The house progress is wonderful…love the dining room floors – can’t wait to see the stain next week, and of course, you know I love the hardware…gorgeous, and the front is so welcoming. Hang in there…getting close!!

What a class act! Old house and new! You have wonderful, timeless taste- I have really enjoyed watching the progress of your new home. I hope we can follow the interiors as well? I hope you make it in for Christmas!!!!

Wonderful post of your two homes. Eye-candy for me. There has been so much amazing progress in your new home. I love the close-up of the door knobs. Beautiful.

Wow, everything is looking so fabulous. I am in lovewith the limestone facade, it is stunning. And your closet looks fabulous, I can see why you would reconsider the island, but I am sure whatever decision you make it will beautiful.

I am so happy that you are having a nice relaxing, traditional family thanksgiving. Moms make everything better don’t they? Did you scoot around blogland and show your mom all of the eye candy out there? I have managed to get my mother addicted to them, some nights she will call me as she is browsing to be sure I have not missed anything.

Have a wonderful weekend my friend, thank you for sharing both lovely houses, and all of your shopping ideas.

Take care, Elizabeth

I don’t do Black Friday. It’s just too insane and materialistic for a supposed civilized society, I think. Now do I buy gifts, decorate, celebrate, etc? Well, of course! But to camp out in front of a store for hours to be the first to stampede, push and shove for merchandise, stand in incredibly long lines, and observe people not treating others with the Holiday spirit, no thanks (but that’s just me).
Your old home is quite beautiful. And, your new home is (I’m sure I’ve used this superlative before) magnificent! I would keep the island in the closet especially if you are a clothes horse. It’s great for storage and to lay out your outfit on top while getting dressed. I do like a sitting area and a window (to check the current weather and such) in a closet also, and most likely you have room for this if desired. The upstairs railing and the doorknobs (have you shared previously the source of the doorknobs? Thank you.) are quite lovely. And we all have to do laundry, so why not get it done in a room a great as yours appears to be?! I can hardly wait for your Christmas Holiday posts! While work may still be going on at your new home, I’m sure you’ll be able to do some decorating.

Your previous home is beautiful. The colors are warm and cozy. I am enjoying seeing your home construction come together and know how much fun it is to build a new home for we did this eleven years ago. I really can’t wait until the construction is finished and you start furnishing your new home. I will love to see that.

As for the negative comments, delete and rise above them. Good and evil will co-exist until the end of the age.

You’re killing me with those beams and the floors. Beyond gorgeous! Everything is looking spectacular. On a separate note, I don’t do the whole black Friday thing. I have a 3 yr old so I’m usually exhausted and go to bed at 10 so a midnight shopping spree doesn’t appeal to me at all, no matter how good the deals are.

The house looks magnificent – great outdoors pic on what looks like a perfect day. Would love a laundry room like that! I appreciate any natural light in a space and this one has it. Also love your old living room with all those gorgeous windows. Have a great weekend!

Tina!
You are soooo close and it’s absolutely STUNNING! My parents are finishing up their home right now and were also a little bummed they weren’t in by Thanksgiving… but here is always Christmas! You’re home is going to be so dreamy at Christmas! Thanks for sharing today – it was wonderful!

Happy Holidays!
Desiree

Tina – it was so fun to see pictures of your former home and of course pictures of your future home! Those wine labels look pretty fun – I’m going to have to look into that! Glad you had such a great Thanksgiving!

Hi am newer to your blog, found yours through another blog, dont’ remember which, just glad I did. I cannot seem to stay away, did anyone tell you that your blog is addicting!
Yes, I have “enchantitis”!
The house you are building is gping to be one of those homes 75 or 100 years from now that we oogle over the way we do now over homes from the turn of the century. It has the makings of being a legendary home…will you name it? What will the name be? A house like this needs a name and a proper birthright! I would love to know.
It is so wonderful how you are sharing it with people, those who live eat and breath architecture and design like myself. I am a Int. designer in Nashville and my husband is an architect and we both LOVE your blog.
Thank you-

I’m running out of adjectives to use whenever you post house updates… amazing, beautiful, gorgeous, incredible, fabulous. I need to break out the thesaurus 🙂 Oh, and I enjoyed seeing the pics of your previous home, too!

Wow just now catching up on the last 2 weeks of blog posts (my husband surprised me with a birthday trip to paris, he did, really, I am not making that up on my fake blog) I am sure you are “OVER” the drama but I just had to add my 2 cents. Why would someone who obviously doesn’t care for you or your house continue to read your blog? I used to read a very popular blog and after awhile I began to dislike her ideas and decorating and advice so guess what I did, stopped reading. I know a shocking concept, right?
As for your timeline, I wonder how they can throw up houses in 2 months in new developments but my addition took close to a year.
The comment about your finishes just baffles me, what is cheap? Please tell me because I have yet to see one thing going in this house that is not unbelievably great.
Jealousy is UGLY and I hope this crap never causes you another minute of misery or makes you think about not posting everything about your new house.
I can’t wait to see this place finished and hopefully decorated for Christmas.
Please post some pictures of your current house as I would love to see it.
By the way, how dare you build bathrooms for your sons that are beautiful, what were you thinking? hahaha

This is an amazing, stunning house! Love the entrance. I grew up in a large house in France and my favorite game was to play “hotel”!
I really need to dress up for your virtual Christmas party.

Tina, like someone said above I have run out of descriptive words to convey how incredible your home build is. You must be getting so excited now, to be so close. Just to let you know, we moved into our new home (now 3 years old) before it was totally ready, not as big as yours but a large home, 6500 sq ft. we lived in one half of the house while they completed the other half. Yes, there were days that I wanted to scream at the top of my lungs for people being there all the time and “in my hair” but miracuously things really did get done at a much quickened pace than when we were not living there. It was a remarkable difference.
So I know you have had doubts about doing that but if you can give up a little privacy and early mornings with workmen, in the long run you might be happy you did, just my take. They want to get out of your hair as much as you want them out, trust me!
In any case it is just looking “beyond” and your old home was also very elegantly appointed also, beautifully done especially love your dining room, kitchen and foyer area.
You have really great taste and like so many others, cannot wait to see how you decorate this new home.
Just think in no time flat you will finally be there and never look back. All good things ahead!

Tina, just looking at the photies of your old house makes me excited to think of the decor in your enchanted new home…I am so looking forward to seeing every rooms detail. Wishing you all the best for the last little bit and the packing and moving…

Veronica

Playing catch up, WOW this is really looking almost like a completed house, you must be sooo excited. I am excited for you. That limestone entrance is incredible. All the interior details continue to blow me away, and love your laundry room, first time i saw it.
Tina seeing your old house reaffirms what great taste you and I can only imagine what you will be doing in this new house. Can’t wait to see, this is getting mighty exciting, as you are so close.
PS Those wine labels are really cute.

Your house is looking fabulous! I love the railings and the doorknobs! Stunning! I LOVE seeing pictures of your old house! It’s fabulous too! I noticed your dining set in that house is the same as The Suze’s. Too funny! She always says, great minds think alike!

I have a beautiful dressing room. My great great grandmother’s chair sits in it but I msut admit I never sit int he chair. I put things on it. Go for the island. A chaise may look great, as does my chair, but it isn’t practical. No matter how beautiful the closet/dressing you, you won’t lounge or sit in it.

Your home is so stunning! What fabulous taste you have! By the way, I just love that olive oil company and try to stop there whenever I go to my folks…incredible stuff. Wishing you a lovely Monday! 🙂

I somehow missed your house updates this weekend. I love seeing them. Those wood floors are simply fabulous. Everything is coming together. I’m sure all the craftsmen that worked on your beautiful home were so excited to have a project like this. You can see they took pride in their work. Very exciting! Good luck with your upcoming move!

I would definitely keep the island in the dressing room, as poof and chairs tend to be clothes hampers. Your home is just that! a home! Much love and luck to you from S CA. xxpeggybraswelldesign.com

Oh my gosh!! I can’t believe how amazing everything looks! The wood stain is so beautiful! And I really like the personalized wine bottles…what a great gift idea!

Love, love, love Tina! The exterior is amazing! Can I come by for a cup of coffee?
I love your old home as well..really lovely and your chandelier is extremely gorgeous.
Good call on the island in the closet…I almost always design one for clients. They are so key in laying out clothes for packing or putting outfits together. I’m jealous! 🙂
So excited for you and can’t wait to see the rest.
Amy

I love the Island in the middle of the closet so perhaps you could do a tufted bench under the window instead of the tufted ottoman? Also, I would love to know the dimensions on your closet? We are getting ready to do a reno and I want an island and it appears that you have plenty of room for walking around it!

best,
ashley
