Good morning my dear readers. Well, you are in for another wonderful treat by yet another wonderful and talented blogger friend. Say hello to Mary Ann of the popular blog, Classic Casual Home. First a forewarning…….this post may evoke strong feelings of jealousy, so proceed at your own risk. “Poor” Mary Ann lives in the beautiful idyllic coastal town of Newport Beach…yes I know so sad:( And this poor soul gets to grill all year long, enjoy lunches on the beach in the dead of winter and thinks having to “brave the elements” in a trench coat is roughing it.
Poor Mary Ann…..if she wasn’t so darn sweet, it would be easy to be insanely jealous but instead I am in awe of all she does and love seeing life from her sunny perspective. She has super stylish friends besides owning a gorgeous beach home herself…..and all she does is done with great grace and that enviable classic easy going California style. I split my time between two beautiful locations, Mammoth Lakes (in the Sierra mountains) and Newport Beach, California. Both are great places to spend a perfect day.
One word that comes to mind when I think of fall??pumpkins
inside and outside
One of the most wonderful things about fall is…….changing the look of our home with autumn branches and
and my wool, instead of linen, pillows.
My favorite fall color is…
Yellowy gold…like on the far hill in this Van Gogh painting or
OK Mary Ann, now that you said reading my blog would be part of your perfect day….I will reconsider being jealous of you and your lifestyle…lol. Absolutely wonderful! This is going to make an awful lot of people wish they were spending their fall days in sunny happy California! Lucky Mary Ann to get to experience fall in two great places. California is such a beautiful state, my brother moved there (north) a few months ago and we hope to go viist them for Christmas.

Mary Ann is wonderful and so down to earth in spite of her lifestyle. I really miss my 13 years in So. California; especial when the freezing weather and snow set in!

I was in Newport area in August for the first time, I loved it!! I would move there in a heartbeat if it wasnt so far away from my family! Lovely pictures, great post!!
What a great post about so many wonderful things to love about Fall and Mary Ann! I love the outfit she chose and I’m off to check out that throw. I’m in the process of turning over my living room for Fall and I think it needs something cozy to snuggle up with!

What a fun post. I love the idea of California in the fall, such a beautiful state. Mary Ann sounds so warm and like so much fun! The chicken looks really good and that yellow gold is one of my favorite colors year round. Lovely.
I love Maryann’s outfits, and how lucky she is to divide her time in two wonderful locales. We lived in Pasadena for much of my chlidhood so California holds a special place in my heart. How nice that in the afternoon she can hop on her bike and head to the beach, now that makes me really jealous!

BRAVO BRAVO!!! I grew up in Los Angeles and I KNOW Newport Beach VERY WELL! Oh what a place! MARY IS FABULOUS and what a home and great taste. Ahhh….I wish you all a happy fall! We are loving our cottage/castle in the fall….the colors are coming out and yet we are having an Indian Summer experience!
Lovely photos and ideas for a perfect fall day. It has long been my belief that there is no place on earth where fall isn’t the best. Last year at this time I was in Paris – I know, any time of year is great in Paris. But a Parisian fall is fabulous.
