Hello there, it’s nice to be home, I have been very busy with SO much to do and catch up on. I must say however, I cannot lie though, I do miss those sunny skies, that warm tropical air and those wonderful island breezes (and the tropical drinks weren’t too bad either:)? I will be sharing more about my vacation, house updates, store biz and much more later this week. But all good things come to an end, and here I am! As you all know I announced earlier in the week a contest I was asked to create? over at Polyvore. I chose , as my theme, “Hanging in the Hampton’s beach house”? and to enter all you need to do is to create a mood board using at least 2 of the objects I had pre selected. Of the entrants, two will be chosen and they will each win a $500 gift certificate! Its a great contest and a fabulous honor for me to have been chosen by Polyvore.

Today is the last day to enter…so it’s not too late to enter! I am rather dumbfounded over how many entrants there are, and how many AMAZING ones to boot. So far I have it narrowed down to about 14,? that I am loving and that I think capture the essence of my ideal dream house really well. So this is where you come in! I have included them all here and would love your input. Of the two winners, one will be chosen by Polyvore and the other by me. So….if you were judging,? of these, which ONE would you vote for? Maybe you can help me make up my mind when I need to make my big decision tomorrow. Decisions, decisions………take a look and just use the poll to choose your fave.

Hope you are having a fabulous weekend, here we are snow free so that is a great thing:) However we are due to get a dusting tonight and if you can believe it possibly more accumulating snow on Wednesday. Nooooooooo…….we cant take another inch.Hope whatever you are up to today, is wonderful and relaxing. I might just pull out the big guns and make a big pot of beef bourgininonis. It is labor intensive but so worth it. Besides when the mood strikes and I channel my inner Julia Child I have a lot of fun in the process pretending i am in a cooking show and maybe sipping a little of the wine while I cook away.? Divine is how I would sum it up in one word. Way back when I shared my recipe, click here (scroll to bottom of Paris post) if you want to see it. It is beyond good…I promise. Now back to the business at hand, check out these boards!

I am warning you now, these are ALL incredible and this is most certainly not an easy choice:)

Now do you see what I mean….HARD decision!!!!! These have me dreaming of a beach house in the worst way, nothing quite like it.? I cannot get over the talent here, to enter click here. The more the merrier besides who wouldn’t want to win $500 to spend over at Safavieh Home!? Even if you don’t want to enter it is worth it to click over to dream a little about chic beach house living…..I had so much fun being a part of this contest. Thank you Polyvore and thank you in advance for your input on the voting….I can see I could easily lose sleep over this decision:) Wishing you a fabulous Sunday!

I know this is a tough decision….so set it up that you can vote for your top TWO favorites!

Good morning Tina! Whew….you are OK! I was so worried about you and must have forgotten that you were going to be “off” for a while! Thank you for coming to visit me..you are always an “angel” who leaves the kindest comments!

Good glory, there are so many fab things HERE! AH! I want most everything you have to share! Let me tell you, I am still loving that plateau I got from you, and plan on joining with a blog pal to make a faux cake to place on top and photograph. Tina, enjoy your time off, your blog looks fantastic, and I hope that all the kinks get worked out…but it looks beautiful.

HAPPY SUNDAY! Anita

Hi Tina, and welcome back! Your plans for cozying up in the kitchen today to cook sound lovely to me. We on the other hand are heading for the Cascades for some snow – yes I know, you’ve seen enough of that – and a little snowshoeing. Aside from our New Years vacation in the mountains, there’s been no time to play in the snow – and no snow here to get out in – this year. Then later in the week it’s off to the beach for some sun! These beach house boards are totally getting me in the mood for sunshine and sand! (And a margarita or two).

Hope the weather forecast is wrong and there is no snow in your future! Enjoy the rest of the weekend! XOXO

You are the best!! . I am in shock! Thank you so much for including my board among these other wonderful Polyvore picks!! They are all great I know this must be tough for you I am just so glad you even put me in the running, thats enough for me! So congratulations to whomever wins here it was fun and an honor to do a board that would be in your great taste! Have a great rest of the weekend!
Karolyn

So glad you are finally snow free! Hopefully the prediction of more snow will fizzle out:) Okay.. this is tough, love them all. I voted for the top two! Have fun today and I’ll be doing much of the same (I have a Pasta Puttanesca craving 😉 xxL

Its such fun to participate in the choosing of the beach house Tina…and they are gorgeous indeed, so much inspiration and all blue and white to make my heart sing
I was thinking of entering- I think polyvore is fabulous, but could’nt quite work out how to do it.!!
Maybe a good thing as you had so many entries!:)
I have always always wanted to go to the Hamptons. Beach living is very close to my heart… the sight of a sail unfurling as we take to the water….
When I met my Italian chap, he insisted we live near the sea. …Ive never looked back
Enjoy your Sunday and congratulations to everyone for their lovely boards x

Tina, the talent is amazing. I was going to enter but it was looking so lame and if my daughter was home from college, we would have been a great “team”. May the best entry win, but I agree this is a very hard decision! I have always favored crisp navy and white, something about it feels so nautical and fresh.
Your dinner sounds so good. Sunday nights we always go to my in laws so i enjoy being a guest but I looked over your recipe and think I may try it later this week, with four boys in our house (including my husband) I know it would be a hit. Your blog looks beautiful, hope its all working itself out. Have fun cooking.

Hi Tina! I am so happy I stumbled upon this post – you weren’t showing up on my feed and I thought you just hadn’t posted yet after returning from vacation. I was looking for the new peonies in the shop (yay!) and realized I had missed THREE posts from you! I added you to my feed but it still isn’t working – I need to figure out why. Congratulations on the polyvore recognition – what a fun contest! I really can’t wait to hear all about Puerto Rico!

Hope you had a fantastic weekend and the re-entry into our world of snow wasn’t too difficult.

xoxo

Hi Tina,
Whew! That was very difficult! They’re all so gorgeous! I saw your comment on the Pink Pagoda. I had entered Christina Fluegge’s (Greige Design) contest a few months ago. Well… Some of the boards were like works of art in and of themselves! And they have zillions of followers! I was happy with my two boards, but they didn’t even get on the radar!

Also, if you can…maybe hang in there with wordpress. yes, blogger is easier, at first…(I’ve also blogged on blogger) but the plugins and customization that you can do yourself is really immense. Once you get the hang of it, I think it’s wonderful. And it really does get easier! (really!) :] But, as my webhost told me… you do have to keep it up-to-date with the updates. Otherwise, it can be susceptible to interlopers. My best ~ Laurel

OK all are beautiful but 5, 6 12 and 13 are my favorites. I do not envy you having to choose just one. Wow, these people are amazing, I am intimidated to try now:-) Happy you are well rested and hope your blog issues are behind you, on this end looks great!

Your cooking at home day sounds perfect. My husband loves a good beef stew, so I may have to try my hand at it, I bet your house smells so good when its cooking. Had fun on this beach getaway.

Hi Tina! I just finished my Hamptons House mood board for you with the looks I used the other day on my blog that you liked! Wow! it was so much fun putting it together! Glad you had a fab time in PR and can’t wait to see all of the pictures! XO

1 and 14 are my favorites, but it’s hard to choose just two. What an honor to be chosen and they certainly chose the right person to do this!! So glad you had a great trip and cannot imagine how hard it is to come home to the possibility of more snow…

Oh my gosh, those are all divine, Tina!!! My favorites are 14 and 3!!! But honestly, I love them all. I have bookmarked this post for reference. Love many of the accessories and ideas for our home in Maine. BTW, I sent you an email. I am unable to add your new site to my blogroll. It’s not showing the newest posts. Will try again this week. Take care, Loi

Choice One is definitely my favorite. And of course, the Hamptons and nantucket are my favorite style of homes, with the shingles, the wood floors, the whites and neutrals and blues!

Hope that you had an excellent weekend, and looking forward to hearing about your vacation:)

Welcome home, Tina! I am amazed by all of these beautiful boards!! It really is an impossible choice, but I placed my vote! Best of luck!!

XOXO,
The Glam Pad
