Hello there, have a nice weekend? Ours was so relaxing…..really needed a weekend like that! I, despite having a home that has lots of blue and white/cream,? do love color, even if some of the colors I love never make their way into my home, chances are they are in my wardrobe:)

I am going to start a little series, entitled Color crush on various colors or color combinations that I am loving. This month is camel and gray. I have for a long time, LOVED this combination. It is old school, classic, elegant and timeless.

Whether in the home or in one’s wardrobe….this is a combination for the ages. I love the play of cool and warm and the way they compliment each other so beautifully and elegantly.

If you are in doubt, think this post just might change your mind. Take a look……

OB-CAMEL AND GRAY

Well what do you think? Do you love it? Have you ever used this combination in clothing or in your home? I would love to have a room done in these colors but in my own kitchen I do have a gray/beigey thing going, the reclaimed stone on the floor is a prime example of the cool/warm combination that I so love. If I was ever to repaint my island I think a gray could be interesting but I do love my black……

Ha! Oh my gosh, I have been here forever. I was reading the Sunday post and then landed on this one! So much beauty for one visit. I adore gray and gold and gray and camel. I have fallen in love with baby blue again too. Can;t get enough.
These rooms are just stunning, as always.
Happy Monday, Tina.

Love the grey and camel. Always a classic and always appropriate whether in wardrobe or decor. I would LOVE to win the Canton jar as I have a collection of blue and white, mostly Canton, in my 1727 antique cape in Massachusetts !
Thanks for your lovely posts ! I really enjoy them !

TINA, THIS POST HAS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PHOTOS OF GRAY AND CAMEL I HAVE EVER SEEN! THE INTERIORS ARE STUNNING, AND THE FASHIONS HAVE CLASS AND STYLE! IT’S SO MOTIVATING, TRULY A WORK OF ART. THANKS FOR BEING SO INSPIRING!
CHEERS,
GRETCHEN

This was SO MUCH FUN!!! And, I recognized many of the bloggers…what a talented group!! I would even like to have camel colored hair(classically elegant!!) franki

I love grey and I never thought of grey and camel together! So many beautiful images! Thank you for sharing! I hope that you have a wonderful week!

Thanks for showing this fresh approach to combining these lovely classic neutrals. We’re giving our master bath a much-needed face-lift and you’ve provided the perfect solution for our color scheme.
I do hope that lovely ginger jar will be all mine.
Looking forward to your next post.

I, too, prefer the antiqued blue and white things. My favorites from your shop are the two hexagon shaped jars- one says “Double Happiness “jar and the other says “open flowerpot”. They would fit right into my dining room with its burnt orange walls, navy and persimmon oriental rug, and blue and creamy yellow- white traditional toile-like print on modern framed chairs. The dark walls really set off my blue and white ware!

Hi Tina, Glad you got to relax this weekend. There is something about this time of year that makes me just want to hunker down and take it a bit slower than normal.

Love your color crush. That gray Chanel bag… would love to have that come live in my closet. Love camel, love gray and together they are lovely! We have gray in our powder room, but no camel/gray combo. Might have to change that!

Hope you have a fantastic week! XOXO

wow. i had no idea, You are so right. What a beautiful combination. thank you for opening my eyes. My new fabvorite for sure.

Love this post! Some beautiful interiors. Would love to know some of the specific colors used in the combos.
Thanks again for always enlightening me!!

Tina,
Lovely timeless and calm are the winning combo of camel and gray.
Just fell in love with a very pretty camel featherweight cashmere scarf that I am lusting over. Love for you to carry scarves in your shop!
pve

These are such great inspirations! I love gray, I have been using gray everywhere in my house and my wardrobe. But, haven’t used camel and gray in my decor and I absolutely love it! Have a wonderful week!

Beautiful post, as usual. You sure do have an eye for beauty. Love the rooms and love those outfits, oh to be thin as a pin again :{ Love ALL the blue and white, I know what I would do with that foot bath (sigh).
Thanks again for being inspiring .

Camel and gray has always been a favorite color combination for me. I don’t use it so much in my home interior but my wardrobe is full of it! I am loving those butterfly shadow boxes in the bath above. Lovely post!

Hi Tina,

Enjoyed your post! Love your bar stools in the kitchen was hoping you could direct me to the shop ?????

I totally LOVE AP18, the double happiness vase and this one is a great size, only eighteen inches tall. That’s a great size for arrangements and sprays of branches.

Tina, Thank you again for your inspiration.

Last Spring I had our master bedroom painted gray and the tray ceiling painted a darker shade of gray. The master bedroom is painted in soft shades of gold to look like striped wall paper. To soften the overall impact of the gray in the bedroom, I have been using wheat, camel, gold colors. One of the chairs in the room is upholstered in Latika Limestone which contains shades of the gray, wheat, and cream combination. I am using that fabric as my color muse to pull together the bedding and the window treatments.

However, I am having the decorating version of “writers block” and having difficulty making the final decisions. I so appreciate the absolute validation that your post provides this morning. May need your trained eye to provide the direction needed to complete this project.

Once I solve this design dilemma I will need to add blue and white accents!

Two elegant and classic colours on their own. Together they are warm, cozy and inviting. Great examples and combinations. What a showcase of the colours in a strong tone with white walls and white slipcovers (House Beautiful image).

Every once in a while, I need permission to do something that I instinctively like. I’ve always thought in terms of camel OR gray, and this post proves that I can have it all! Thank you! And wouldn’t the Double Happiness jar go well in my new living room…Many thanks.

i love this color combo as well, and am so glad i stumbled across your blog as i’m thinking of doing my front room in a similar aesthetic to many of the images you posted. thanks for sharing!

Such a stylish new series! Love this color combination, Tina. Classic, timeless and beautiful. Speaking of beautiful, your new Chinoiserie wallpaper is absolutely beautiful. Love the peeks on Instagram. Cheers

I love the combination of grey and camel and use it in many parts of my home. Brook Gianetti’s Patina Style is one of my favorites. I have her book and have followed her blog for quite a while. Our Southwest landscape and lifestyle blends easily with such classic colors.

Loved this post on camel and black. Picked up on a new blog to read also – Mai Tai’s Pictures. Would love the blue vase also!

Oh you can never go wrong with camel and gray..these colors seem to compliment each other no matter what the setting is!!!!

On a side note…LOVED seeing your beautiful home on a new episode of Gotham last night. Noticed they removed the “made up” wall in the kitchen and you could now see your magnificent family room(which look so tall it was like a church cathedral) from the kitchen. I also noticed how they used your living room/ dining room as part of Barbara’s wealthy parents estate…..so beautiful!!!

Gorgeous! I would love to know more about the bag in your 6th photo… Hermes? Something else?

This post may have made me totally rethink the redo I’m planning for our master bedroom. So fun!

Oh Tina! You are takin me to church with this post! Hallelujah and hot dammmmmnnnnn this a winning combo if evah there was one. I am nuts about neutrals and this is how it’s done! I am still a beach bum in Hawaii and livin the very zen life which is heavy on acai bowls and sea turtles and very little civilization. Today I watched my husband surf then created some mixed media pieces outside while listening to an intellectual podcast. Not too shabby. Peace of the plumeria-scented air to you. Lovely.

this is something that i have recently been discussing with others about. how the neutral colour tones such as greys, whites, beiges etc have really been pushed to the back burner of the interior design world. Where as 5 years ago thats all that people wanted. Especially in places like a bedroom or bathroom the calm soothing affects of the neutral tones will really be able to help relieve stress that people endure in their every day hectic lifestyles. Anyways some very good insight you have presented. thanks a million

What a great post Tina. Thank you. You helped me solve one dilemma as I am working with a client right now and she has a lot of warm wood details in her study and we just don’t have the heart to paint over it…

warm regards,
Emily

Was excited when I saw this post. Currently redecorating my living room in this color palette. Was looking for some ideas for my dining room and the lovely bathroom pic you posted with the paneling has the wheels turning in my head! And that room by Nell Hills, lovely.

Hi blogger, i found this post on 15 spot in google’s search results.
I’m sure that your low rankings are caused by hi bounce rate.
This is very important ranking factor. One of the biggest reason for
high bounce rate is due to visitors hitting
the back button. The higher your bounce rate
the further down the search results your posts
and pages will end up, so having reasonably low bounce rate
is important for improving your rankings naturally. There is very useful wordpress plugin which can help
you. Just search in google for:
