Hello and happy? Monday to you…hope you have a wonderful weekend. Ours was pretty low key, with plenty of time to relax, dinner with friends, a little retail therapy and a good amount of work.

Busy week ahead, I am probably in the minority when I say I like Mondays….don’t know why but I like that it is a day for me to get to plot out my week and it is always a day I make no plans but sit at my desk and play catchup. I have a long list of “to dos” which is growing seemingly by the hour…..then there’s the holidays coming.

HCH7WK4_az

I am wavering on hosting a holiday party, I really wanted to but with the death of my dear friends son, that enthusiasm and desire has all but vanished. So we may just do our usual family Christmas party, not sure. I will also likely be hosting Thanksgiving which I really look forward to especially since its my absolute favorite meal of the year (and my kids too). No matter what I end up doing….rest assured entertaining is always a subject that gets me excited. I LOVE setting a beautiful table and coming up with new and creative ideas for tablescapes.

HCH7VLM_az

I believe you can so easily elevate even the simplest of meals with a beautifully laid out table, gorgeous linens, elegant serving pieces,etc…..so if you have holiday entertaining on your calendar, then this is a prefect time to start thinking ahead. And Horchow just started their entertaining event with an extra 25% off so no? better time than now.

Love the crochet lines dinner napkins, champagne flutes, stockings and pretty much all the items Horchow has to offer. Thanks once again for sharing information regarding the sale. I have already started my Christmas shopping today. As far as a tip for Thanksgiving, I always serve pumpkin soup in small glass bowls. I also serve the soup with toasted bread cutouts, made with a pumpkin shape cookie cutter. The pumpkin soup recipe can be found on cooks.com web page and serves 10 or so. Top the soup with toasted pumpkin seeds before serving. Bon Appetit!

HORCHOW items tug at my
HEART !

I adore the Godinger Collection of “pierced” serving pieces – especially the flatware caddy !
Great post as always !

The Ralph Lauren decanter set you ordered for your friends is amazing. It’s the perfect gift for anyone. It’s elegant yet understated, and can even be given as a wedding gift. I’d love to have this to sit on my bar cart!

One entertainment tip I’d like to offer is to always, always, have a parting gift for your guests. No matter how small, a little something that says “you are special to us” is a lovely way to let folks know you appreciate them.

And oh yes, I think your husband would love to get this as a gift! πŸ™‚

Cheers,

Deborah

I regularly get their emails. Love their linens! Right now I am enjoying the holiday collection.

Tina,
Thank you for your lovely and beautiful blog. Horchow has the most elegant products.
Our sons have been giving me “Woodland Spode” ever since We started collecting it back in 2001.
Every Thanksgiving they would bring me a piece. A plate, mug, bowls…etc. I just love every piece because they were given in love. But for some reason we never got the Turkey platter. So that is what I need.
The 19″ Turkey platter and the 90 piece set of the Towel Hotel Flatware in Gold.
Thank you again!

So many lovely items. Would love the Pavoes dinnerware. Gorgeous! Also want the Iris glassware. I love creating beautiful tablescapes!

So many things to love! The Mercury glass candlesticks, the Christmas tree skirts, and the Spode dinnerware are all fabulous finds for the holidays!

I also love the advent calendars that Horchow offers, I have one very similar and I love bringing it out each year!!

Horchow’s bedding is superlative. Take a look at the new arrival of the Legacy Toile! Classic at it’s best….

I agree, entertaining with lovely things makes every event special. For the past two Decembers I have looked for 20″ or larger holiday-red linen napkins and table runner to no avail–always sold out. I’m ordering the Sferra linens today!
One of the things I do for myself when entertaining is to hire a serving helper (or two) and a bar tender– reeeeally makes a huge difference in the flow of the party and how much more time I can spend celebrating with my guests.

I love the courtly check kitchen and dining sets. My floors are black and white checks they would fit right in. Love your blog it is so inspiring.

I had decided on the Louis Phillip mirror until I saw the Animated Advent House. Well, it looks like I’ll be buying an item for my granddaughter and an item for myself. Thanks so much for helping me decide I need to shop Horchow more often.

I placed a recent order for some of the Sferra napkins in green – the color is gorgeous! Think I need another set, or two. Great selections!

There are a number of lovely things that I admired from the Horchow website. Today I am leaning toward the bar area for entertaining. I would like to have the squirrel nut bowl from Vagabond house sitting on the counter of my wet bar for a bit of whimsy. I also thought the Michael Aram matching “Rock” bottle opener, ice scoop, and ice bucket in gold would be fun for drinks “on the rocks”. Thanks for the guest towels- great choice for the give away!

Love the website and will definitely return. They have some very beautiful pillows – I especially love the blue pattern ones. The Jungle Double Old Fashioned glasses are great as are the Amalia Full Body Red Wine glasses. I really liked the Elysian Brandy Glasses too but a little out of my price range.

Well have to say it took me some time to go through Horchow’s website. Such beautiful things. My favorites though are the kaleidoscope placemats, beaded floor mirror, Adriana chevron mirror.

Oh my! What to choose as favorites! It would have to be the Patina Vie Emerald rocks glasses and the goblets. I know just who I’d love to give those to for Christmas!
Thanks for putting my name in the pot!

Oh, Gosh…it’s so hard to choose just one or two items from Horchow! I get my bath towels from them (Kassatex Parisian and Kassatex San Marco), and I adore everything they feature in the MacKenzie-Childs line. But my absolute favorite at the moment is the Jay Strongwater Cake Knife. It’s just to.die.for! Thanks for the chance to win those lovely hand/guest towels.. this was fun!

On a separate note…hope you have seen the blue and white ginger jar Christmas ornaments Frontgate is offering this year. Very elegant.

Hi, Tina,

I adore Horchow! This is such a wonderful giveaway! πŸ™‚ My mom has had her eyes on the tortoise silverware for yeeeeeaaaarrrsss, so I decided that I would finally get it for her birthday in November.
