Hi everyone and happy Saturday to you. The sun is shining, it’s cool but spring is not that far away and I have been on a flower buying binge to add some “early spring” to my home. It’s Oscar weekend…love all the pomp and circumstance of this iconic event. Hope you are enjoying a wonderful weekend so far.

Periodically I highlight favorites form some of my Pinterest boards, a constant evolving gallery of favorite images and pictures.? Today’s post is on the board “My style” which best defines what I love in decor , now and then and it’s fun to see how our taste evolves, mine has not changed much but I do appreciate a light, airy look more than I ever have and find those kinds of spaces so soothing and calming. If you want to see more or follow along with me, click here. And here we go…..

It’s funny looking over this board, it made me realize that while my taste has not wavered much over the years, I have been drawn increasingly to slightly more casual (but still very sophisticated) spaces. Maybe its my subconscious preparing for a part time more casual lifestyle in Palmetto Bluff:).

I also realized I am drawn to a variety of styles, that are beyond true purist traditional, I don’t mind a bit of a mix as long as it’s really well done. It’s interesting how our taste evolves and grows with us as we enter new chapters of our life. Anything here speak to you? What is your style? Thank you for stopping in, a few reminders-

Gorgeous pics, Tina! I particularly love Loi’s Tone on Tone signature style. Well done! Enjoy your day! Anita

I love the blue butlers pantry. I have one almost like it but black. Wish Mine had a door. It starts me thinking…a little project!

Just amazing , love every room. Thanks for sharing. Also your home is beautiful yet very functional. I am looking forward to updates on your new home in SC That is very exciting. for you.

I would find myself a pampered woman entering any of these spaces ! Each one so very elegant and traditional .
These photos have provided lots of useful decorating suggestions for me –
I love the wide satin ribbon atop the mirror. Why hadn’t I thought of that ? Simply beautiful !
Thank you for another fabulous post to enhance our lives and our homes .

Tina…I have a great story about your 10th photo. This is the living room of Peggy Stone from Atlanta, and quite possibly the very first “pin” I pinned on Pinterest! I didn’t personally know her but spoke to her on the phone one day, about 5 years ago. I was in the process of remodeling and came across her beautiful home in Atlanta. I was obsessed with her wall color in this room and she was the most gracious lady to take my call, spending about an hour on the phone with me. As fate would have it, that very day she had a house full of people working around her with florals, cleaning etc. They had just done a photo shoot of the house to put it on the market! They were downsizing because her husband had just been diagnosed with Alzheimers. She actually helped me with the paint color and told me a great story about it…..she had a vision of the color she wanted and after countless tries, sat on a barstool at the local Farrow and Ball dealer for hours, while he mixed and remixed, over and over different formulas until they got it right! I had just seen a recent article about Alzheimers and some new developments that she wanted to know about. Her email was in turmoil, so she put me in touch with her son, Duane who was the architect on the house in the photo. He was also extremely kind! I believe the home won some awards. How sad to have to leave the finally-built dream house, designed by her son and decorated by her incredible vision and taste. I found out she had passed away last year and was so saddened, even though we had never met! By all accounts, she was the typical gracious southern lady!

I love the notion of the sophisticated casual look. A room can be comfortable and inviting without sacrificing style. And oh, how I would love a Butler’s pantry as beautiful as the one in your pictures! Have a wonderful weekend, Tina!

Just like dreaming with an interior design book. Always have loved a white marble bath. Clean and fresh. Satin ribbon on
mirror, so clever. Nice idea for books, antique foot rest next to
Tea table. My Celtic heritage draws me to the Cathedral ceilings and antlers, but mostly for dreaming. Fun Saturday
Morning. Spring will be coming Tina. Crazy weather this year.
Have a great weekend. AFN

Oh, WOW, I’m really loving that oriental bathroom AND that blue butler’s pantry..WOW!! franki

They are all lovely and I am amused by how many I had pinned already.
My renovation has carvings above the chimneys like the photo about halfway down; I hadn’t considered painting them gold. Now I must reflect on that….

All of these images are stunning to say the least, I love French decor but not stuffy more of a relaxing feel…

I especially love the vignette with the writing desk tucked away in a quiet corner. I, too, have pinned many of these beautiful photos for later use after we buy or build a new home in the spring.

Would love to know how to buy a mug with your logo on it; I saw one in a past blog. Enjoy your weekend and give Teddy a big smooch for me.

I am so intrigued with the Wedgwood blue butler’s pantry. This is such a nice change from all the natural wood tones. We are planning a renovation of our kitchen and are seriously considering a sage green color for the cabinets. I know, I know, not blue, but for us and in this space the green is better. I’ll keep you posted. Tina, thank you for the beautiful photos, now that I’ve had my “pretty” fix for the day I can get on to the work that has to be done here in the office. Karen
