Good Wednesday morning! Very busy week on this end…..working fast and furious on various design projects which of course I love to do (one peril is finding way too many things I want for myself in the process), oversaw a warehouse clean up in anticipation of three containers arriving within the next 4-6 weeks…gotta make room on the shelves:) Lots going on and there were plenty of days I treated myself to a glass of wine the minute the clock struck five!

As I do every now and then I share with you a snippet of my life as seen through my iPhone…what would we do without our phones!!? And don’t say sleep better (though its true).? So here is a look at what’s been going on around here….

So those are highlights of what’s happened in my? world this week. Of course I am not showing the downside to this week-being stuck in a 2 hour traffic jam that should have taken 40 minutes,? a scream fest over a piece of furniture that is delayed by 6 weeks for a client, the incessant worrying I did about my son flying home from India,? a burnt pot roast (the silver spoon trick really does work though, which is if you have a burnt something throw a silver utensil in the pot for a good 30 minutes and often times it will remove the burnt flavor, thanks Grandma:) or getting a stiff neck for two days from sleeping the wrong way!

Oh yea, plenty of those moments too but that is not what this blog is about, I like to keep it pretty and happy! How about you? What’s new in your world? Thank you for stopping by as always……wishing you a great day, until next time!

Love your blog! The hydrangeas are my fave right now too?..can’t have enough. A tip –
check out installing your toilets attached to the wall vs. mounted on the floor. It is wonderful for those beautiful tiled floors – leaving it easy to clean underneath with the swipe of a mop!! It’s a bit more costly, but oh so worth it. Had to convince my plumber to do it – but
finally convinced him and now this is pretty much all my contractor is recommending. Leave it to those Europeans to be ahead of us once again?? maybe look into it for your upcoming project. Can’t wait to follow along. I’m a remodel/new construction addict. Keep up the great work?.

Your favorite pasta dish looks yummy. Would you consider sharing the recipe.
Here’s hoping…

That pasta dish looks scrumptious! Recipe please ? ? ? ? Did I miss your son being in India? Would love to hear about the trip. And thanks for the “silver” tip about removing a burnt taste. I’ll have to give that a try. Love your pictures . . . thanks for sharing :0!

Please tell more about the silver spoon in the burnt pot! Does it have to be solid silver?

LOVE everything! Great post as usual. Especially love the Duralee fabric and paper. Wow! Just gorgeous!

Hi Tina,
I made your pasta dish the other evening and it was a huge hit with my family. It has been entered into my favorites list. Thank you for sharing.

Love the velvet fabrics! The top middle sample would be perfect on an ottoman I want to recover, could I get the name and producer? Thank you so much and know how much I LOVE your blog!

I LOVE the Duralee fabric/wallpaper, I think that would be beautiful in my downstairs powder room with the marble basket weave with blue dots flooring. Sign me up, how many rolls for a minimum order?!

The topiaries with ivy are just what I have been looking for! Wishing someone in NOVA had someplace I could buy them! Thanks for sharing a bit of Spring, Tina!!

LIVING for spring blossom promo! I actually have the same large vase that you featured filled with blossom branches in your blog today.

Tina, did your heart skip a beat when you entered the greenhouse and saw those perfect boxwood topiaries? I know mine did just from your picture. Wow!

Loved all your pics. Thanks for throwing Teddy in the mix. He looks like such a sweet, mellow old soul.

I enjoyed my beautiful picture journey and learned a new trick to fix the burned meal that I’ve done so many times when I lose track of time on the computer. Your pictures and tips are inspiring. Thank you for a few minutes of relaxing peace.

Your pasta dish looks so yummy, I will have to give it a try…
Great inspiration and ideas as always….

So happy to hear about the silver spoon trick. is that a sterling silver spoon or a stainless steel spoon? Need to know……. hahahahahahahah

Beautiful post! i am waiting for some flowers to arrive in Ohio. Yesterday it was 60 out today it is 24 and windy. So your flowers look so pretty , makes me smile Once again thanks for sharing your week.

Booked this year’s European spring getaway with mom (we’ve been doing this since I was sixteen and I’m your age). We usually do 10 days in one city. This year we’re heading back to Florence and The Four Seasons. One of of my favorite places and hotel, so really looking forward to next month!

I used to go to Duralee when I lived on LI…loved it. Nice that you share some of your real with all the good stuff.

Hi Tina,

Long time no visit! Life certainly gets hectic. TEDDY!! He looks so happy. Love your Hydrangea arrangements and those pillows!!!

Love,
Deb xo

Would love to hear more about the silver spoon trick – lord knows I’ve burnt enough meals that need saving in my time!!!!

LOVE the floor in your bathroom – so pretty. And the hydrangeas! I’ve had a couple of bad years for my hydrangeas, and I’ve missed having them as cut flowers in my house. I’m hoping this year will be better!

Those pictures from you nursery make me so happy. I can’t wait til I can start planting flowers. Love the floor in the powder room and the gorgeous wallpaper that you found. Hope you have a great Thursday, dear Tina.

Hydrangeas! Boxwood! I had a row of boxwoods on our terrace and they all just died–there’s some disease going around southern France and knocking them out. Many at the chateau were affected as well. I just love a nice round boxwood ball atop a slim trunk. I never find hydrangeas at the florists either and have mixed success with growing them (wrong soil, too dry). I’ll have to find some fakes that are as lovely as yours.
Another tip: after you’ve fixed the flavor of your burned roast, to clean the burned pan, pour some ketchup on the burnt parts and let it sit a day or two. The acid in ketchup loosens the burned parts, and you can wipe it clean. No scrubbing.

I’ve wanted to ask you,are you an interior designer by trade or did it just evolve out of you having such good taste? Love to Teddy.

Debbie

Hello, Tina!!! It feels so great to not be going to the courthouse today, but taking a few minutes to peruse my favorite blogs!!! I am so excited to catch up on everything I missed last month.

Hydrangeas! Gorgeous!! Love your big silver container, as well as those signature blue and whites. That powder bath floor is to die for. Love that you’ve gotten into the city – I need to make that a priority in the coming weeks, especially since it feels like Spring!

Happy Thursday!
xoxo Elizabeth

I have never heard the silver spoon trick before. Since I am not the finest cook in my house, I will surely have an opportunity to use this tip sometime soon!
