Woke up to a howling wind, 40 degrees and a touch of S N O W on the ground??!!!??! What is going on..this has to stop and fast! It has been a super busy week for me, nonstop with a few exciting e design jobs, preparing for my incoming containers within the next two weeks, working on my new site and lots going on behind the scenes.
So after a busy busy work week, I am taking the day off and going to NYC today with a friend to see a show, nothing beats spring in NYC (even if I have to wear my winter coat and it feels like winter again)! Hope whatever you are up to is fun and relaxing. Here we go…..
1 THE INCOMPARABLE SHARON OF MY COUNTRY FRENCH HOME. If you don’t know about Sharon of My French Country Home, then you will be happy I am introducing you! I consider her to be a friend as we “met” through our blogs. I have followed her almost since I started blogging and always been thoroughly enchanted by her beautiful life in France, her storybook cottage of a home, her elegant yet casual soirees and well just about anything she posts about!
Now she has moved onto to other ventures, with the same unmistakable french flair. Producing these amazing vidoes plus she is hosting a flower tour in France “Flowers in Paris”, can you imagine anything more fun or more beautiful than taking a flower tour through Paris? Oui Oui!! 2. HAVE A SECOND HOME? If so this might interest you. A friend told me about this company, “3rd Home”, a luxury home exchange club that targets high end, discerning travelers looking for beautiful second homes away from home.
In my friends case, they were looking for a home that could accommodate both her family and some extended family going on a ski trip this Thanksgiving. They own a home in Cape Cod which they don’t use a lot so this program made a lot of sense for them.
They booked it and she has heard great things while also listing her own second home. This one specializes in owners 2nd and 3rd homes, so typically they are things like beach homes, ski chalets, etc…Have I peaked your interest? 3. INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST. I so love this batch of inspiration this Sunday, it speaks to the warming weather, beautiful flowers, spring happenings with a healthy dose of gorgeous monograms thrown in…..
4. INCREDIBLE PILLOWS. So excited to be collaborating with one of my favorite pillow makers in the world..Studio Tulia. Thanks to her my patio comes alive in a blue and white dream every spring/summer.
Suzanne has excellent taste and offers beautiful pillows for a fraction of what they might cost in a high end shop. So in honor of my love of blue and white, we have started a small collection of pillows together. You must check them out here…..stay tuned as a special promotion will be offered Tuesday.
5. AN EVENING WITH FRIENDS. Friday night we had over 4 couples for a causal dinner and movie night…it was long overdue and so much fun. I could see this becoming a regular occurrence:) I took my three tier wooden server and filled it with a healthy but delicious Mediterranean inspired spread, we ate kebobs, rice and salad for dinner and ended with a big tray of fresh fruit and mini homemade ice cream sandwiches. I did an impromtu post on it yesterday but here is a peek (click here if you want to see the entire post)

6. A NEW MONOGRAM SOURCE TO OBSESS OVER. Oh boy….this one could do me in. You know my obsession with monograms, well Hempstead Thread is a sensational find. Not that I need a single item, mind you but how could I resist!! Just look at all of these beauties and imagine all the possibles…click here for her Etsy shop andhere for her website. 7. FISHBOWL LOVE! I cannot get enough of the look of a large fishbowl filled with just about anything but especially a large palm, boxwoods, a huge hydrangea plant. There are few things they don’t look incredible with. I am preparing to finish up my next order mostly of fishbowls but as stated earlier am taking preorders on this, as these are large and heavy, therefore a difficult item to stock.

Dear Tina, Thank you for the 5 minutes of Zen the two videos provided me. I was simply enchanted. The flowers and the arrangement in the first video were so inspiring. I have to get back in the habit of bringing fresh flowers into my home on a regular basis. Weren’t those shopping bags clever too? I was a little worried about the dog. Glad he came back. Yikes….About the second video..The French women dress with such casual elegance. Another reason to opt for carrot sticks over the oatmeal ice cream sandwiches. I leave those to my husband:)
