Hope you are having a great weekend, here the weather is splendid….perfect fall weather. I am loving this weather and trying to carve out a day or two to head up north to take in the fall foliage, one of my most favorite things to do.
Setting up an office at the warehouse these last few days, its been quite a transformation, still in the works but getting there! Got in the Provence planters and they will all be shipped out tomorrow, they are gorgeous!! Got lots of emails to see if there were any left, have a handful (details at end of this post).
Lastly getting lots of emails about ornaments, I will be having a final presale on them tomorrow (for 2 days). Be sure to check back. For anyone who ordered the first batch, they are coming in on Wed. or Thurs…cannot wait to get them! We will start getting orders out right away upon receipt. OK onto my seven things for this week……
1 A FUN GIRLS WEEKEND IDEA! I love Elin Hildebrandt’s books and have read many of her best sellers. They always take you away to beautiful places (namely Nantucket) which is where she resides full time.
She sponsors a 2-3 day getaway which she calls her “Bucket list weekend” and there are all kinds of fun activities planned from readings to touring the very spots she includes in all of her books to a cocktail party and book reading.
I can think of few things as much fun as going to beautiful Nantucket in a blanket of snow with a bunch of friends:) My friend, Katie of Preppy Empty Nester went and posted about one such weekend, click here to read about it.
2. EXCITING NEW THINGS COMING THIS WAY SOON! I love sharing with you what is cooking over here and there are some amazingly gorgeous new products heading this way as we speak! These chinoiserie tole beauties should be here in about 4 weeks.

3. INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST. Always love being able to share with you all that is inspiring me this week on Instagram and suffice to say there is never a shortage! So many beautiful things to be inspired by with a heavy accent on beautiful home design-
4. MY BEAUTIFUL RONALD MCDONALD GALA TABLE. There is no greater cause than helping the fight of kids with cancer via the one and only Ronald McDonald House. I am always happy to help this incredible organization any way that I can.
Here is the table which I designed the centerpieces for, for the recent gala. I wanted a tall dramatic vase and being low in stock on those, used my umbrella stand instead it was perfect…..see thinking outside the box pays off:)
As there were not fresh cherry blossoms at the time, I used faux cherry blossoms from my shop and added fresh hydrangeas and must say I love how it turned out!

5. A FEW GREAT FALL MUST HAVE’S. With the cooler weather, I am having fun bringing out my fall and colder weather clothing items.
I have a few Barbour pieces, and just snagged this chic looking little waxed waterproof jacket, perfect for this interim weather. Wore it yesterday and it looks great with everything I wear, plus it’s navy so big points for that! Not to mention it’s also on sale. Click here to view
Also found these and had to share, I have had a pair of S.Weitzman very similar for years, they needed replacing. Found these for $149, big plus is that they are waterproof .Putting good looks and great price aside, the very best part is that they are super comfortable. Click here to see
6. LIGHTNING UP ON POLITICS. No matter whose side your on and let’s face it never has there been a more contentious race for the White House, this video if you haven’t seen it already, will surely lighten the mood. So clever, now if only they could really get along this well:) I cannot stop laughing!
7. SUNDAY’S SEVEN. As we are down to the lat 3 months of 2016, how would you sum up your current state of mind with regard to 2016 and looking ahead to 2017?
For me personally I look at 2016 as an exciting year and a year of adjustments (adjusting to being a young empty nester, which is a work in progress). I look ahead to 2017 as a year of many exciting things to come, lots on my bucket list with a few lofty goals thrown in:)
