The latest on my design projects….

Hello and happy Tuesday! This post has been a long time in the making. Every now and then I do a post on edesign and/or design in general as a lot of people have questions about how edesign works and are both curious and intrigued by how this operates. I have done extensive posts on edesign here, here and here. Nearly many if not all your questions can be answered in going through these past posts, as they cover just about everything related to his increasingly popular design alternative.

Today is a recap on some very exciting and some “still on going” projects that I am particularly thrilled with. A little background on each project so you know what the objectives were. This is a long post with a lot to read and see…so grab an extra cup of coffee:)

UTAH. This client is a repeat client and a dream to work with, it helps that she has great taste and loves blue and white! They bought a very impressive home/horse farm that they knew they were going to give an overhaul to almost right away and recognized it was  in sore need of some TLC.

They did do some construction right off the bat but a lot of the project involved redecorating. After we worked on the kitchen, breakfast area, foyer and upstairs master/study, the master bath was next on the list! The master bath before I think we can all agree, was pretty dismal.

She wanted a light and airy, spa like luxurious master bath and boy, is that what she got! So first a look at the “before” and then get ready for the after

BEFORE

AFTER (still was waiting on new chair and window treatments)-

TEXAS. Another dream client, whom I have worked with before. An absolute delight!  This person wanted to reinvent furniture she already owned (that her kids deemed out of date and old fashioned) and give this living room new life, with a few updated accessories to bring it up to date.

So we chose a gorgeous soft cream velvet for the sofa, redid the two pairs of chairs in a fabulous toile and a beautiful pale blue/cream leopard on the smaller chairs. Replaced the coffee table, had new drapes made, added lamps, brackets and some blue and white…..final touch was the rug and it was a beautiful transformation indeed. Just love this space.

BEFORE-

AFTER-

The old floral heavy chairs were reupholstered in a beautiful soft toile linen and the heavy blue drapes replaced with ivory panels with a classic Greek Key trim, really lightened things up!

The cream velvet sofa looks fabulous accented with beautiful blue pillows and a gorgeous antique mirrored coffee table from Decor Market, which I just LOVE!

Theses antique chairs were given new life with a pale blue leopard  from Kravet

Blue and white lamps, a new rug, brackets with vases…voila!

NEW YORK. This is an “in progress” project and a very exciting one. We have a ways to go. Love that my client and and I are completely on the same page, she is such a pleasure to deal with. So she had made a mistake and bought an expensive secitonal that let’s say did not come out quite as she had hoped. Since it was basically brand new,  she could not justify getting rid of it. So she had it split into two sofas and we began our work!

Fabric redo to the rescue. We chose a gorgeous light tan tweedy fabric and redid the sofas. What an astounding difference!

We changed the floorplan to create two separate sitting areas, one facing the TV and the other the fireplace. Chairs have been ordered along with cocktail tables. We are working on pillows now and added a beautiful side table/console for between the back to back sofas, and added a pair of my signature blue and white jars. Looking so much better already!! Here is the new floorplan-

BEFORE-

These are the sofas before-

AFTER (we are now starting to work on pillows)-

Next project, reupholstering these pretty chairs from Decor Market-

Some contenders and this is how we play with fabrics looking at them on a board with other elements of the room as well as the floorplan we decided on-

NEW JERSEY. Another really fun project with a wonderful couple who own a magnificent very old and stately Dutch Colonial that endured a major floor. Over a year was spent restoring the home and nearly everything was lost.

A few pieces of furniture remained but they were outdated and they felt this was a great chance to start anew. The husband, a talented artist and sculptor wanted a showplace to display his beautiful works, so this is going to be a wonderful juxtaposition of modern with classic traditional. This was a concept board from early on which shows the magnificent rug from Ralph Lauren that is on order and due in April-

A stunning Ralph Lauren rug is on order and due in April. The color scheme is tans, gold and blues. It is going to be so spectacular…when you have a room like this almost anything looks good.

BEFORE-

DURING-

We have accessorizing to do in the dining room but added these beautiful cream silk drapes with the most beautiful trim

And in the kitchen which lacked color/pattern we added this stunning window treatment (fabric from Schumacher) and are now going to do the same in the breakfast area

She also had a beautiful window seat off the foyer where there is a small sitting area with a piano she had a vision of using greens and pinks, so first I did a mock up on a board then it became a reality!

AFTER- (waiting on one more pillow)

There is a very small powder room off the library which has a window open to the front, they needed privacy but still wanted light filtering through as this a very small and dark room, we did a beautiful tonal semi sheer relaxed balloon.

There is a dark gold pin stripe that matches the wallpaper (a dark gold damask) beautifully, the pictures a bit dark but you get the idea!

I plugged in a few accessories and concepts as we approach the next step…just to give some ideas-

As we now being to accessorize the room while we wait for the rug and other pieces to come in, I showed  options of a center table with benches tucked in or a long wide bench

PERKS OF EDESIGN. One of the neat things about edesign is with the 24/7 access, there are no time restraints and there are so many great resources to utilize that make easier than one might think. I love being able to show clients things on a board, and can even “plug” things in to show them what they might look like. Something you cannot do in person!

As an example this is a current project which I will share in the future as we are at the beginning stages,  she has a dining room that needs some tweaking. I suggested moving the art to the side walls and adding a mirror above her sideboard. I was able to add these virtually as a concept-

BEFORE-

CONCEPT AFTER-

On another wall the plate arrangement felt too high so I was able to show her adding two more plates will change the effect plus I suggested adding chandelier shades for a soft, Frenchy feel…

BEFORE-

CONCEPT AFTER-

So yes you could say I have been a busy lady and now you can see why I cherish those “lazy Sundays” so much, but this was the perfect retort to my empty nest syndrome!

I so love what I do and getting to help transform other peoples home is so fulfilling. Nothing makes me happier than to hear how excited they are about getting to enjoy their homes in a whole new way. So thank you to all of my wonderful clients, with whom this adventure would not be possible.

I am working on two new projects that I am really enjoying, and cannot wait to share those with you when the time comes…it really is such a fulfilling process to be able to help transform someones home. Because as I have always said and truly believe, the ultimate luxury is having a beautiful home to come home to at the end of the day.

If you have questions or want to know more, feel free to email us at info@enchantedhome.com OR call 1-800-804-9565

Thanks to my readers for stopping by, wishing you a wonderful day and and good start to your week. Until next time…….

Oscars recap 2017!

Good Monday morning. Whether like me you stayed up until the very dramatic end of the Oscars or not…no doubt by now, you heard about the total fiasco with the biggest prize of the night. How,  I ask do they mess up so badly on not only Hollywood’s biggest night but on the most important and coveted award? Simply no excuse!!! It was to be believed.

As I do every year, I like to share with you  my hits,  misses and occasional catastrophes. If there was a theme this year it was “things that make you go hummm”. VERY underwhelmed. Where was Cate when we needed her for a dose of old Hollywood glam?

If I was being totally honest, I would have a bigger list of misses than hits…that is a first. It just hard for me to wrap my brain around the fact that with all the resources at their disposal, for some this is the best they can do? I am not a stylist but even I in 10 minutes, I could come up with what would arguably be a much more attractive and flattering look. So the list is short but here we go.

MY HITS-

Always classic and elegant

Thought Isabel Huppert looked very classy

Did not love the hair but the dress certainly was a vision, very “Cate Blanchett”

Thought she nailed it, hair, makeup and gown

Looked great, a pretty sophisticated look

MY “ON THE ON THE FENCES” PICKS-

Pretty girl, overall looked good but something about the proportion from her neck to waist looks off to me, she is long waisted so this dress did not totally flatter her, and I don’t love the messy bun on a red carpet

If she didn’t have that necklace, this would have been a hit, sometimes less is more

From the neck down such a hit, but the hair? What was she thinking? Am I just not getting it? With her pretty face, she looks stunning with her hair cropped short, this just overwhelms her small face

Actually love this color and the dress is really pretty but it’s a tad too voluminous for her frame, maybe if it was tailored to be a bit less poufy it would have been a favorite

Safe but puts me to sleep…can she just once surprise us and step up her fashion game just a little? Blush? Hair extensions? A great pair of earrings? A little sun? I like her and respect her take on understatement but the Oscars is where you can go outside your box

THE NO’S

Don’t know whats happening here, way way too much, makes me dizzy. She wanted to go with something dramatic and big how about this instead-

This dress was so odd, and from the side downright ugly, she would have been on my hits list if she did something along this line-

Not a fan of her with red hair and come on…leave something to the imagination!!

Wonderful actress but the acres of feathers on this dress did her figure no favors….where was her stylist? This might have worked out better for her-

Boring, pale and so nondescript, this would have been such a better choice in my opinion, same colorway but has interesting bead work and a little bling while still channeling the princess ballerina vibe-

Never been a fan of her fashion choices but did not at all like the hair and found the dress to be just OK, I would have loved to see her in something like this and with hair extensions-

AND THE BIGGEST NO OF THE NIGHT GOES TO, (this is bordering on a 911 emergency)-

I am sorry but this is downright horrid, The hair looks like its matted down and the dress…I have no words. Looks like she was channeling her inner Princess Leah meets Amish bride.

How about this instead? She has the figure for it, it is young and modern, and I would have done her hair totally differently and added a fabulous pair of statement earrings

Net a Porter

Cartier

(All my picks are from Net a Porter)

BEST COUPLES OF THE NIGHT-

MOMENT THAT WILL GO DOWN IN HISTORY-

And finally the moment of the night no doubt was the huge colossal gaffe for best picture (in case you missed it, it is to be believed and no doubt will go down in Oscar history as the single most dramatic moment-

Again this is my opinion and totally subjective. It’s all done in fun and in the spirit of showbiz:)

Well if I ever get bored with my blog and design work, I will consider donating my time to the crisis in Hollywood. Just overall pretty disappointed in the lack of real glamour ala “old Hollywood” with the exception of a few of course. But there is hope for 2018!

Oh well….it’s a wrap! Maybe next year they will step it up:) Thanks for stopping in, wishing you a wonderful day and start to your week.

PS If you missed my Seven on Sunday, click here

ONE BIG FAVOR REQUEST- Please comment on the fashions and show in general but kindly leave politics out of it…really want to keep my blog as a happy, pretty place and really would like to leave the political views outside the door which I too will be careful to abide by. Thank you:)

Seven on Sunday

Hello and happy Sunday morning, actually make that happy Oscar Sunday! I love all the  pomp and circumstance around the Oscars and the glamour of it all is such fun to watch. Look forward to seeing who takes top prize….and of course really looking forward to seeing what everyone is wearing, that’s the fun part:)

I know many of you are frustrated (as am I) about a few things still not corrected on my blog, no pinterest button, some still not getting emails. A new company was hired and working fast and furious behind the scenes and within 2 weeks a new and better version of what I have now will be launched, I promise you will say it was worth the wait. And to give you a sneak peek, check out the cutest pinterest button I dreamed up..might be the cutest button known to mankind-

Is that the greatest? A ginger jar Pinterest button! Give it another two weeks and you can use it to your hearts content:)

Had a very nice weekend,  yesterday it was 72 degrees!!! Unheard of!  Had with a little adventure, time spent with friends and my beloved down time is on the horizon for today…and then its red carpet time and thats when I get down to some serious TV watching. I had told myself i was going to have an Oscar get together this year but I have been working and going non stop so decided it will be a party of two tonight:)

Hope your weekend is going well, onto my Seven on Sunday….

1 TWO NEW PRODUCTS I AM OBSESSED WITH. So a friend turned me onto this first one, then a reader told me she cannot live without it and indeed it is scrumptious.

Jo Malones newer fragrance Peonies and Blush Suede is heaven in a bottle…rather obsessed with it. I am really picky about fragrance (and big fan of Jo Malone) and this is my favorite scent of hers yet, feminine and soft, yummy! Click here

I had been given a small sample of this and loved the smell (soft roses) but the product delivers! Its a fantastic mask that left my skin feeling and smelling heavenly. Plus its not a crazy expensive product, which is always a nice perk. Click here

2 A BEAUTIFUL VIDEO THAT MIGHT INSPIRE US ALL TO DO AN ACT OF KINDNESS TODAY. Have seen this before but happy I came across it again. Is there any better feeling than giving to someone who needs it? This little tyke shows the true meaning…really worth watching and sharing (if you haven’t before)

3 INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST Love my roundup this week and so enjoy getting to discover new finds on Instagram, it is really quite an amazing world! Beautiful interiors, incredible food, fashion…it’s all here today-

My favorite this week, not that it really needs an explanation is this simply because this is shoe perfection-

4.SURVIVAL OF THE RICHEST? No this is not out of the next Bourne Identity  but real life people.I read first about this in New Yorker magazine, and was both fascinated and freaked out. I, being an eternal optimist refuse to let a doomsday scenario pervade my mind. Yet one progressive thinker has built a luxury bomb shelter. There will be everything from a library to a dog park to a rock climbing ball to replicate “outside life” as much as possible (scary thought).

So some brainchild, bought an old army base and has turned it into uber luxury  bomb proof condos, and guess what? Even if you wanted to buy one…you can’t!  They are sold out with an apparent wait list. Crazy? A bit if you ask me. Here is a look at some of the apartments Click here to learn more

Here is a fascinating video (dont be put off by the beginning it gets pretty fascinating)!

5. A FAVORITE SALAD. Yes, we are talking the dreaded “D” word, so much for winter hibernation, spring is not far along so its time to get svelte for the warmer seasons ahead. Its been salad city over here so creativity is a must!!

One favorite salad is this take on a Mexican salad, for the protein you can add chicken or shrimp. The dressing is yummy and low cal

  • Mixed greens (whatever kind you like)
  • Kale (optional)
  • one can corn
  • one can black beans
  • tomato
  • cucumber
  • red onion
  • low fat shredded cheese (optional)
  • carrots
  • scallions
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • lemon or lime (fresh)
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 avocado diced
  • 4 TBSP olive oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  • pinch of salt and pepper

Mix all ingredients together except last five. For dressing mix the yogurt, cilantro and diced avocado in a mixer/Cuisinart until pureed. Add salt and lemon juice, dress salad accordingly only right when you are ready to serve (so it doesn’t get soggy) I keep the dressing in a mason jar. Bon appetit!

It’s so good even health nut Teddy couldn’t get enough…..

6 OSCAR TIME!! I love Oscar Sunday and hope within the next few years to go and attend. But in the in the meantime, I will like millions of others be watching Sunday night and lets be real, we love tuning in as much for the fashion as much as the awards show themselves, maybe even more:)

I thought it would be fun to share some of my all time favorite Oscar looks…..will anyone this year be added to this list? Let’s hope!

Cate gets two spots  because to me she is always and I do mean always the epitome of Oscar glam!

7 SUNDAY’S SURVEY. OK this is another etiquette based scenario. This is not the first time this has happened. I was at the market this past week, I often do the self checkout simply because I have gotten really quick and efficient at scanning and bagging…go figure!

I will be the first to admit when I get a slow cashier, it is difficult for me to watch them move in  such slow motion, I am a fast mover for the record (not always a good thing)!  So the self checkout is perfect for me.

So…here I am going at a brisk pace with my order, I pay then immediately move to the end to start bagging my things, about half way done of a fairly large order, the person behind me starts scanning her things and all her things come barreling into mine. I gave her a look which was polite but bordered on “don’t you dare” however she kept going. Had it been one or two items, I guess I would have been OK with it, but we are talking a lot of items. I finally had to say something, it was getting ridiculous. It was almost impossible for me to move any faster, so there was truly no logic behind what she did.

Now either I am right or turning into an old lady….no worries I have thick skin:)

Always fun for me to hear your take on things, and I am from the school of thought that I welcome all opinions and recognize there are going to be many different takes, that’s what makes the world go round!

We can agree to disagree sometimes, the key is that it’s done in a respectful and civilized manner. Anywho, many thanks for stopping in, wishing everybody a wonderful and relaxing Sunday, cheers to the Oscars! Until next time…..

The puff on powder rooms

Hello! Thank you for the amazing feedback on the flatware, it was an overwhelming and super positive response. For those who asked when I will hold the presale it will be sometime next week. You will be able to lock in a “pre- presale” price which will be a bargain, so stay tuned!

Hope you had a wonderful weekend and that your week is off to a good start. Here the weather has been incredible, we got to 64 degrees yesterday…I will take it!Had a good weekend, well rested for a full schedule this week.

Everyone loves and should have a killer powder room. It is one room nearly all your guests will see and to me, a powder room should feel like a small jewel box, wrapped in beauty and a yummy scent. I always burn a candle or have a diffuser to envelop them in something wonderful as they walk in. I also am a fan of wallpaper in a powder room as its a small space where you can easily make a statement.

Working on a new edesign project with someone and working on their powder room, so have been gathering lots of great ideas and examples to show her. Thought you might enjoy taking a look as well just in case you are looking for some ideas of your own. Here we go…

I am all about going for the glam factor, and this beautiful powder room delivers!! The gold chinoiserie just says it all, Jones Byrne Margeotes Partners

Love the way Courtney Blanton created panels to place the wallpaper in, a great look!

Even in small tight spaces, you can make a powder room feel quite luxurious, HAR

The moodiness and drama of a black powder room is undeniably chic, Ashley Goforth

Always been a fan of using a Venetian mirror in a powder room, it adds so much elegance and definitely ups the glam factor, this vision in pink is a stunner. Amy Studebaker

I absolutely love this idea!!! A wall filled with photos on paper, how brilliant!! John Hummel

Such a classically beautiful powder room that will be as gorgeous 20 years from now, Rariden Schumacher Mio and Co

This is a great example of a well done more casual powder room without giving up an ounce of beauty, Morrissey Saypool Interios

This is beautiful, love the bleached/lime wood vanity, and mix of cool and warm, stunning! Instagram

This is such a pretty and fresh feeling powder room, love adding small unique pieces to a powder room such as this small piece of furniture to hold towels, etc… Ashley Whittaker

You know I am loving this for that fabulous wallpaper and take a closer look at the blue and white sink…fabulous!! Tres McKinney

The gold accents add a lot of glam to this elegant and warm powder room, Bradford

An iconic wallpaper like Thibaut’s Tanzania wallpaper can make a huge statement even in small spaces, love this! Amie Corley

Adore everything about this, the softness, the understated elegance, the unique vanity, Robin Gannon

For a less formal powder room, the use of beadboard is a lovely and not terribly expensive detail, this is a good looking powder room. Burns and Bayer

What a beautiful console! I have always liked the look of an elegant console sink or antique vanity for a powder room, just adds so much elegance, Suzanne Kasler

Isn’t this such a warm and inviting space? Elegant, tonal powder room by Tres McKinney

A perfect example of how much impact wallpaper can have even in a small room, Ashley Whittaker

So many beauties…gives me some great ideas for PB. I have all kinds of ideas swimming trough my head. Have a fave here? What are your thoughts on using wallpaper in a powder room? Have any tried and true tips to make your powder room extra special?

I think this is one room to really step it up, make your guest feel like they walked into s small aromatic jewel box. I love wallpaper, marble, gorgeous sconces, beautiful hardware and the finishing touches are always a budvase of flowers, a candle or diffuser and beautifully scented soaps…..

OK your turn to weigh in your favorite looks for a powder room. Thank you for stopping in, wishing you a wonderful day! Until next time…..

Seven on Sunday

Hi friends and Happy Sunday. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!  We had a fun dinner out on Friday, yesterday went to see Sally Field in The Glass Menagerie on Broadway (depressing storyline but really well acted) and went to a  lovely small dinner party last night. I love going to restaurants, but to me nothing beats having dinner in someones home, it is so much more intimate, yet its done less and less.

Today going to relax a while then later hopefully going into the city to visit my oldest son after all its going to be 60 degrees today….makes you want to come out of hibernation! Here we go with this Sundays happenings….

1 EXCITING NEW VENTURE. So behind the scenes, I have some super duper exciting things happening, a few I cannot tell you about quite yet but this one I can because its officially in production! Over the moon with this flatware that I have in the works, expect to have it in April!! I will be offering a “pre-presale” on it very soon.

It will be a win/win- you will get it at the lowest price and I will be able to gauge/tweak the quantities once I see the level of interest. If the feedback I got via Instagram is any indication then I would have to say it will be incredibly well received. Me?I  want a full set of each and already envisioning how I will set the table. So here they are-

Here is a closer look at the patterns- (there will be a five piece place setting for each design, not all pieces shown and possibly some matching serving spoons/forks)

BAMBOO

PAGODA

EQUESTRIAN

And if you don’t mind participating in a mini poll, your feedback is so valuable.

2. THE ARK AT JFK. One of our friends was actually one of the founders of this amazing concept, exciting to see it become a reality and to rave reviews. A major pet hotel/animal terminal at JKF. This was sorely needed!!! When we picked up little Teddy when he was only 8 weeks old from JFK after having been flown in from Arizona, the conditions were at best that of a third world country…it was disgusting and shocking.

This will certainly make many many pet owners the world over thrilled to know their pets are being taken care of in a world class facility. It is really a brilliant concept and I have a feeling one that will be done in many other major airports in then near future. Click here to learn more about it.

3. INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST. Love my roundup this week, there is lots to love and be inspired by. Instagram is such a wonderful resource to get ideas of every kind, never ceases to amaze!

No this is not Disney, it’s a CAKE!!!!!

My fave this week is this stunning picture, posted by a customer who loves her new ginger jars from my shop!

4.HIGH IN THE SKY! Just in case you have a cool 39 million to spare, you can buy this sprawling 4900 sq foot Astor Suite which is up for sale in the Plaza Hotel.  Considered to be one of the most historic apartments ever for sale boasting such former residents as John Jacob Astor, Duke and Duchess of Windsor and JFK, you simply can’t put a price on that.  Take a look-

And here’s a video to see the whole enchilada-

5.AMAZING LITTLE DANCERS. I love videos of talented kids..can’t you tell:) These pint sized dancers are incredible and with such sass!!! At 7 I was playing with barbies and looking for my next play date! Very entertaining, both super talented but that little boy is really something.

And just in case you missed this one, I had to share it again, one of my favorite songs sung by two insanely talented kids. I could listen to this all day long, one of my faves-

6.CHINA BY MOTTAHEDEH OBSESSION. I LOVE china, I have closets of it and way too much for one person, yet I cannot help myself!! Lately I am obsessing over completing my set of Mottaheheh. Have quite a few pieces but not a complete set of any. I love how you can mix and match many of their blue and white patterns. But I will say to my defense, I really use them, all the time. Click here to visit Mottahedeh. Here are a few favorites-

This is the one I am thinking of adding onto, the dragon plates work so well with many other patterns and are really striking

And in other colors they are equally spectacular-

7. SUNDAY’S SURVEY. OK……onto something I have thought many times and curious what you all think. When I am in one of my cooking moods, I always turn on the Food Network to really get me inspired. I am kind of stunned and entertained by the increasingly number of shows featuring these tiny little chefs, they are often as young as 7 or 8!

When they get “cut” it is hard to see their crestfallen little faces, not to mention what does an 8 year old REALLY know about reductions and dry roasting!!  And I think this is just an example of how our society in general is giving things to kids way way too young. You see 2 year olds walking around with their own ipad, 6 year olds with phones and now they have their cooking show. Are they really ready for that and what will there be left in life to want and work for by the time they are 18? On one hand love that it fosters a passion that is no doubt taking our country by storm- food, cooking and chefs has never attained the celebrity status it has now.

But seeing these little tiny people cooking away as though they are experts somehow doesn’t seen natural. When I was little if I wanted to be a cook, I would have had to practice in out kitchen at home with my moms pots and pans, making macaroni and cheese and maybe working my way up to a bunt  cake:) while attaining the goal of being a professional cook one day AS AN ADULT. What’s next,  their own news channel, and lifestyle reality show? That can’t be far behind. Now these quasi chefs/little kids are “living the dream” at 7 or 8. So…….curious as to what you think?

So there you have it,  seven things that got my attention this past week. Anything on your radar? Wishing everyone a wonderful and relaxing Sunday, a great day to recharge for the week ahead. Thank you for stopping in, until next time…..

PS Still working on the subscription issues (about 20% are not receiving the blog) and the Pinterest option, plus a few other things…we ware on it!

Which would you choose?

Hello and happy Friday morning!  Such a busy busy week getting all the presale orders out the door, happy to say we are about 90% done and hopefully will be totally done by today, a major feat. Its been quite a whirlwind of a week. So getting to sit down and do a little virtual retail therapy was a much needed exercise as my form of relaxation:)

As I pointed out Sunday, Coach has completely reinvented themselves in a pretty dramatic way and they are no longer that safe conservative brand that many of us equate the name with. They have branched far out into fashion, accessories, menswear and more. So considering I treated myself to one of their darling bags I thought this would be a fun Which would you choose and I found an extra little something to order in the process. Ready to choose your two faves? Let’s go…..

CHOICE 1 Just love everything about this, classic yet updated bag, gorgeous color and will stand the test of time. Couldn’t you see this becoming a favorite  every day bag? Offered in a few colors that is priced right, click here

CHOICE 2 These are on my spring/summer wish list, I love a simple and comfortable  ballet flat and this one looks like a winner with such a soft leather, click here

CHOICE 3 This is one gorgeous saddle bag in a beautiful shade of gray, roomy, practical, classic styling with a long strap…a great and functinoal every day bag! Click here

CHOICE 4 And they do watches! This would be so pretty in the spring/summer months.  Click here

CHOICE 5  I must admit I wear heels only when absolutely necessary but when I do, I go for something interesting and detailed, this classic pump with the subtle chain detailing is really pretty. Click here

CHOICE 6 Funny I am not a burgundy person but this bag is a stunner! I love the styling and though it comes in black, to me in burgundy it’s a knockout. Click here

CHOICE 7 I bought this wonderful little bag, it is such a beautiful bag with the delicate little flowers, cannot wait to use it come summer!  Click here

CHOICE 8  My favorite style wallet, a zip around where nothing can fall out, also love this color. Click here

CHOICE 9 Had to order these, so my cup of tea…spring and summer here I come! Click here

CHOICE 10  Love a good crossbody bag, and use one every time I go into the city …it’s so convenient to be hands free. This is a good looking crossbody in a favorite color, click here

CHOICE 11 They even do glasses! This tortoise pair are gorgeous, click here

CHOICE 12 A good looking tote in ivory, a beautifully styled bag indeed. Click here

CHOICE 13 Can you believe these gorgeous driving moccasins are $84, if they have your size this is a heck of a deal. Click here

CHOICE 14 How sweet is this wristlet done in the dinky styling? Very “Chanel-ish” a great little bag for an evening out, click here

CHOICE 15 Nice looking chocolate brown suede pair of over the knee boots, gorgeous! Plus they are on sale, click here

CHOICE 16 I love a charm bracelet and own a few, this more delicate version is an update on the classic charm bracelet, pretty! Click here

CHOICE 17 This is one good looking tote in a taupe pebbled leather, love a textured leather and they wear so well, click here

CHOICE 18 When I think of Coach I think of classic and this icon trench is a perfect example, a good looking classic trench coat. Click here

This sure isn’t your mama’s Coach🙂 They certainly have come a long way and stepped up their fashion game. Some of the  clothing fashions I feel are oriented towards a younger more urban/hip consumer, but the bag, shoes and leather goods are just updated while still classic. So which are your two faves?

What do you think of their new look? Own anything Coach? Sometimes its fun to rediscover a brand we thought was in our past. Thank you for stopping in, wishing everyone a wonderful day. Until next time……

Bluff Diaries- Chapter 12

Good morning,  hope everyone had a sweet Valentine’s Day. First I want to announce the winner of the porcelain planter. Congratulations goes to-

#1 KRISTEN

Please contact us at info@enchantedhome.com with your shipping details so we can get this on it’s way:)

We had a very full day at the warehouse continuing to get porcelain orders out the door and are making great progress! This was my most most successful porcelain sale to date, if you missed out the good news is that a new one is coming later March and I will have a presale in about two weeks so stay tuned, so many exciting new things coming in! It’s really starting to take shape!

It’s hard to believe we are on chapter 12! Things are definitely moving along, right on schedule and we will be there again next month to see the progress. The framing is done and the roughing is soon going to start. We have already chosen all the plumbing and now I am starting to work on the bathrooms which is always fun and exciting.

I love looking at tiles and marble, somehow it just never gets old. I am a marble girl all the way. I think there is nothing more classically beautiful than a marble bathroom. I want to keep the bathrooms clean, crisp, light and airy. Though I am floored (no punt intended) at what is going on with flooring today and the advances that have been made, I will likely keep things on the simpler side.

Tilebar, to the rescue!  If you dont know them already you must get acquainted!  Not only do they have a sensational array of tiles, both marble, and porcelain…their prices are hard to beat. Not to mention free shipping and incredible customer service. I also love how easy they make getting samples when you are just not sure so easy, five samples for $5!! Have used them a number of times and cannot recommend them highly enough, there is no reason to look elsewhere.

So today is a look at flooring for the baths many of which I am seriously considering. I am going with a light and airy/neutral approach to all the rooms. Next time we will address bathroom lighting which is so important, and here we go-

For the kids/guest baths I like the idea of doing basketweaves, classic and won’t break the bank, click here to see all of Tile Bar’s basetweaves

I also love hex patterns as they too will stand the test of time, any one of these could work beautifully-

Ceramic, these could almost convince me to do a bathroom in something other than marble, just a stunning design and love the icy blue- click here to see

For a powder room you want something special and unique…any of these beauties would suit me just fine!

My husband and I did the his and her baths in this house too..once you go that route it’s really hard to go back to sharing:) We nixed one large bathroom and did two smaller ones, plus we gave up a tiny bit of the closet (which is still a more than adequate) so have two nice sized bathrooms.

For my husbands I love any of these, just so classically beautiful! Click here to see all waterjet

Or I may steal this one for myself:)

This has a rich masculine vibe

This has a masculine, old world feeling to it

For my bathroom I could see any of these-

This just screams feminine and elegance….love the delicacy of the pattern

This is a classic and quite simliar to what I have now, which I still love 5 years later

LOVE these colors, Celeste blue is a favorite, but fear the pattern might be too busy

Back mudroom- Loving this wood inspired tile, great color! Click here for info

Can you believe this is porcelain meant to look like Calcutta Gold marble? AMAZING! And at $9 a sq foot, it won’t break the bank! Click here to see all the porcelains that look like marble

So many gorgeous choices!! Have a favorite? I could close my eyes and pick a few and be very very happy. I look forward to sharing with you in the coming weeks my final selections, winnowing it down as we speak. Have a project of your own? Then definitely check out Tile Bar by clicking here. You can thank me later 🙂

Thanks for stopping in, wishing you a wonderful Wednesday. Until next time…..
