Hello friends and Happy Tuesday to you. Hope you had a wonderful weekend, was that Superbowl the MOST unbelievable game ever!! Talk about a comeback….simply amazing! Had a nice weekend, back to the grind, very excited that the long awaited porcelain container is coming in on Wed!! So many beautiful pieces, be on the lookout for a one day sale probably Thursday or Friday.

We will be working fast and furious on getting all orders out in the order they were received.

So  I am starting a new series….Accessory Alert. Once a month give or take, I will focus in on a particular accessory that I like, use or that has gotten my attention. Hoping I might inspire you (and myself)  or maybe give you an idea of how to use/add/tweak something in your own home! On top of that, if the accessory is something I happen to carry/sell in my online shop, then I just might offer special pricing for that item, and today that is the case!

Today is all about garden seats, I have always loved them but in the last year or two can’t get enough of them and they can be found both inside and outside of my own home……

LOVE the idea of using them for seating at an al fresco setting fabulous! Hadley Court

They work beautifully for end tables and small occasional tables for drinks, books, etc…. Benjamin Dhong

Here is one on my patio, perfect for drinks or a plate of food

I like them in place of a cocktail table, especially here for a punch of color, Traditional Home

Great for mudrooms, have to keep this idea in mind for my own!  Alice Lane

Great idea to use for a shower stool if there is not already a shower bench, Martha O Hara

And lovely in an unsuspecting place like a stairway wall….Sarah Bartholomew

This is so smart…..and obvious! A garden seat in a closet. Everyone needs a little chair/stool and this is the perfect size!! Toronto Design Group

Always liked the idea of seeing a pair tucked under a console, beautiful!

Recently added one to my own bathroom and love what it adds

So clever! Using a stool as a seat at a vanity table, love it. BHG

They are perfect for bedrooms and this gives me an idea to add one to my own, Ashley Whittaker

And when space is tight, they make wonderful makeshift little coffee tables

Mark Sikes clearly got  the memo how perfect they are for the outdoors…fabulous!

Don’t forget them in kids rooms too….they are perfect. Kerry Hanson

Great idea to add to a bathroom for an extra little “holding place or shelf” Better Homes and Garden

Ohhhh, those are so beautiful. I was absolutely convinced I would want the blue and white and then I saw the cream with birds….sigh…so lovely.

I have six garden stools. Bought my first pair for $15 each way back in the mid-1960s. They look the same as when I bought them. Have used them as coffee tables, end tables, and plant stands for large plants. We have moved numerous times, and there is always a place for them and I never get tired of them. One thing I wanted to do, but never did, was use two as a base for a thick piece of glass for a coffee table. Your post gave me fresh ideas for a couple of new uses. In fact, it also inspired me to consider adding a couple more to my collection. As you say, never too many, as with blue and white! Thank you!

So beautiful and a great price. I have 4 already from collecting through the years. Love blue and white.

I love them too. I have 2 that are elephants, in my living room. My FIL brought them back from Vietnam. I also have one blue and white one that I found about 30 years ago. It looks the same as the day I bought it (and it was a steal)!!!! Wish I had 2 matching to put under a console table!

Love the garden stools. You can always find a place for them. I especially
like them in different sizes. One can never have to many!

Garden seats, especially in blue and white, are an amazing accessory! I need more!

Really pretty Tina! I have one and I’ve used it outside and in 🙂 Hope you are having a great start to the week!

They are a favorite accessory! Love the look indoors and out and in any room from the living room to the bathroom! Happy Tuesday, Tina ~

I’ve been pondering a blue & white garden seat for my small summer courtyard, then in the library for winter. Soon, I promise myself!

I so want to get a few blue & white ones to use on the patio and back porch and to also pull into service for extra seating/ end tables as needed when entertaining inside.

I really enjoyed this garden seat in depth with photos. It really got me thinking of where I could put one or two. This these photos I am thinking anywhere! Thanks for some gray day Tuesday inspiration!

I have one from years ago and enjoy it tremendously. It’s used as a side table in a cozy nook near the kitchen. Love it and would love to add some for outdoor entertaining.

Tina, I love the idea of featuring only one item and showing so many different ways to use it. I have two garden seats out side in the summer house, but bring them in to use as tables when I have my Mah Jongg group over.

Loved seeing the many uses for garden stools. I have three, used both inside and out, and one of them I bought way back in 1974. Still looks great and still in style. What a good investment.
My hexagonal pot arrived yesterday, and now I just have to decide where to use it. Love it!

I have inherited several garden stools from my mother, and have used them elevated on oriental rosewood stands, two in different bathrooms, some as end tables, some outside on my patio. I am thrilled that you mentioned garden seats, as they can be endless and timeless accessories.

I needed to see this! I just emailed you as I would love two of the one in your bathroom. I need one in my bathroom and one for my powder room. What great ideas and insight this post gave, thank you Think this series is a great idea. And yes that Superbowl was the best yet!

Tina, a question for you. When using these garden seats outdoors, I am curious how the very cold weather affects them. My only problem is winter storage as I have so many in my house. Not really too bad of a problem…..thanks for this post as I got so many ideas of there to use them. I live in Tennessee in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains where the cold can be COLD.

Hi, just wondering where are you situated, I love to buy some of your garden stools.
Regards Helen
