Pretty posts to ponder……..and a winner!

This post was found in my draft box (not the first time). With all these beautiful posts so worth sharing, it would have been tragic for this to not post, which worked out like a charm given that I did not have ample time to prepare my late musings post for this week…….so enjoy!

Here is the lucky winner for the wonderful Judith August set. Congrats goes to…..

Those vanity jars are to die for! I know I cannot afford them, though. Lots of lovely things here. I am excited to learn about Judith August; I had not known about her products before. I would love to win the Killer Cover Kit but I also really like the Everything Pencils and the August Minerals Finishing Powder Translucent. Thanks for pointing the way to her site!

Congratulations! Please contact me here to give me your shipping details so this can be on its way!

I will have much more to say towards the end of the week but I am going to be traveling for the next four days so this is going to have to suffice! A few things, two hot hot items that sold out almost immediately are finally back in stock! I got the beautiful flower bowl back in stock (limited quantities) for those of you who were waiting, click here to see on online store.

Also was lucky enough to get my hands on another 6 of this bag, that sold out literally within hours!! (they will be to me by Wed)  I LOVE this bag!! Click here to see it at my online store.

And if spring ever decides to come this way, this is the first bag I will be using!

I was trying to get my late musings post finished in time but alas this week has not allowed for much extra time and I am going to be away for the next four days so this was the perfect post, and besides its  high time for another round of “posts to ponder”. I like to every now and then share with you some posts that for one reason or another really resonated with me and were designated as “keepers”.  I also like to add one of my own that I really liked putting together. I have soooo many more so this is a smidgeon and you can be sure I will share more again in the future! Its always fun to look back on posts that caught my eye for one reason or another, and always wonderful to give recognition to the talented bloggers who put this together.

Well suffice to say, each of these is absolutely worth a look (and a second and third one in my opinion). It could take years I kid you not to go through all the blogs and posts, so consider this the express lane on a super highway to get straight to the top and to  some of the best! Hope you will visit them and let them know if you feel the same way by leaving a comment to say hi and let them know if you enjoyed their post…its always wonderful validation for us bloggers to hear from our readers. So grab a cup of coffee, sit back relax and enjoy!!

Pretty posts to ponder and a hello from Teddy!

Good morning……some of the new items I featured yesterday will be added to my store as of later today or tomorrow for those of you emailed me yesterday to ask. Namely the statuary/planters, new porcelains and some of the pewter objects.

Also to all of you who have purchased items from my store…please send me your inspiration pictures, I love seeing what you have done and with your permission would love to add them to my newly added “Your enchanted home” section featuring your homes using my products!

I have over time come across so many amazing posts, posts that have touched me on one level or another, some just really tug at my heart, others totally appeal to my obsession for all things beautiful, some inspire me to run  out and start a project and others are just pure eye candy. I always bookmark special posts that are worth keeping and revisiting in ever growing “posts I love” file. Beautiful things never get old!

So……as I do periodically I like to share some favorite posts through my Posts to ponder. IF you have some free time this weekend, its a great way to take a quick trip to “an A list” of beautiful posts all in one fell swoop. I have so many others and obviously it would be impossible to share them all in one post, but in a few weeks i will do this again and promise it will be another treat worth the while! So thanks to all the talented bloggers for putting these together and to all my readers for following along. Wishing everyone a fabulous weekend!

Before we begin since so many of you frequently ask about dear Teddy..he agreed he was finally ready for his closeup and agreed to a photo session (his “spread” will publish next week) But here’s the man looking like himself again with his hair growing back……he sends a HUGE thank you for all the love, prayers and kindness you have shown…..

And now for our featured presentation………..(click on links on bottom of each picture to visit)

Home Bunch...check out this beyond dreamy Provencal estate!

The Paper Mulberry...a farmhouse harvest, totally breathtaking

              http://thepapermulberry.blogspot.com/2011/09/farmhouse-harvest.html

Roses and Rust.….talk about opulent grandeur!

              http://rosesandrustblogger.blogspot.com/2012/02/decadent-grandeur.html

Splendid Sass…welcome to tablescape heaven!
Conspicuous Style….fabulous home office inspiration!
Classic Casual Home...this takes “taco night” to a whole new elegant level!
Chic Coastal Living…when I grow up I want my beach house to look like this!
Atelier de Campagne...remember that eye candy I mentioned? Here it is……

Haus Design.….droolworthy outdoor inspiration!

Splendid Market...talk about awe inspiring (hope my husband is reading this) Check out the Mothers day feast a bunch of dads, that’s right, DAD’S made for these lucky ladies!!
The Enchanted Home.….still love this, a vintage country Christmas!
Jenny Steffens...these meatballs are really really good and the tutorial is fabulous!
Belgian Pearls…excellent and inspiring weekend decoration tips!
The French Tangerine.….talk about one heck of an absolutely beautiful backyard!!
Castles Crowns and cottages…a beautiful and moving tribute to a mother

So there you have it…those should keep you busy for awhile!  I included one of my own because its one I actually forgot about until someone wrote me about it yesterday, telling me how much she loved it and that it transported her to her childhood Christmas’s spent in Vermont and when I took another look at it…..I got that same warm, fuzzy feeling so wanted to share for anyone who might not have seen it. So many beautiful things to see, I swear scouring the Internet for inspiration could easily become a full time job! Minutes turn to hours and a “quick morning computer check” easily could turn into an all day affair!! But its so much fun and its rather mind blowing just how much there is to see and find and discover! Hope you enjoy and hope you have a fabulous weekend. The sun is shining so I am happy:)

Random Saturday musings, a few updates and pretty posts to ponder

Good morning, First off…lets announce the winner of my silver tray contest! Congratulations goes to……..

Prize ID Winner ID Public Info Private Info Random Sorting ID Weight
1: tray 1608501 laura 017BE532-F975-44A9-83C2-BBE899734C73 1

Laura, please email me with your information so the silver tray can be sent to its new home!

It’s quite nice that life is finally getting back to normal….relatively speaking. I am still Teddy’s nurse aka personal assistant, but more than happy to be taking care of him, dressing his wounds, being his medicine giver, massager, dog walker, etc…it is my pleasure! Yesterday afternoon around 6pm I took him for a walk around outside on a leash and then sat by the pool….he seemed so relaxed and the fresh air was really good for him. Below a few pics I took of my iPhone, from certain angles where you wouldn’t know of whats going on on his body, so this was a picture he was comfortable posing for:) It was such a picture perfect early evening sky, crisp cool weather, a setting sun, clear skies…it was the most relaxed I have been in days!

Here’s the cutie pie going home from one of his checkups, they put the t shirt on to protect against stitches that they had to remove to allow for more draining….

Our beautiful cherry blossom tree in full bloom

This small pool house was part of the original property, one day we would love to redo it but its quite far down on the list as there are so many other things to take care of! But the setting is really pretty and its very calm and private, like a little oasis.

Teddy meditating!

Relaxing……..that sweet little face From this angle he looks quite good!
How cute are these get well gifts dropped off for Teddy? Filled with treat, a football and other cute toys….he loved it!
This is such a cute idea…..its kind of like memory for dogs, about the size of a placemat, you put a treat under one of these cubes and you can make it more challenging by placing it under the brown squares where they have to slide the brown down to get to it…very clever! Teddy loves it….

Moving on…..a number of people have asked about more house updates but honestly the reason I haven’t shown much of the house is because there isn’t much to show! I do finally have some window treatments under way, my bathroom/dressing area, kitchen and window seat. So that’s phase 1, other things are in the works and I promise to share with you as I have something to show you……I did decide to keep this chest to use as a vanity in our main powder room. Admittedly its as much to do with that its a beautiful chest and fits perfectly as it would be one less thing to have to brainstorm about! So now I can finally get that wallpaper and work on the windows and be done with it..woo hoo!

We are going to put the honey onyx on it as a counter top…I think its going to be beautiful when done.
The library is basically done, now they are coming to start staining next week, the floors are done too. Love the way it has come out, originally we were going to hold off doing it but decided to bite the bullet now so we don’t have a horrible mess and dust all throughout the house later……a few pictures.

I love early morning sun, cannot wait till we put up the art on top of my beautiful black French console….

Remember this fabric? Well I sealed the deal and my ktichen window treatments are being made as we speak!

How gorgeous is this tureen? I have 2 left! Best thing is its a nice big one, so practical too!

LOVE it!
I promise as soon as there are other things to show….you better believe I will post them. Hopefully window treatments will be ready in a few weeks!

I also wanted to announce that after Thursday’s post, I got an extremely positive reaction to the magnificent pewter and wood pieces so have as of this morning added them to my store. More to come….this line is exceptional in every way with the finest attention to detail and best best quality materials used. It is an expensive line but truly heirloom quality and best part is…… I am discounting 12-30% off retail. If you know the prices you will recognize the value.  As always if you have any questions, feel free to ask! Click here to visit store.

Some of the items are……love anything equestrian!

Love these pewter acorn measuring spoons!

This is too cute……
This I would have to say is the ultimate carving board…..with its antler handles!
How incredible is this cheese board!
How cute are these hunting dog salt and peppers?
Love these gorgeous pewter Pheasant statues
And for those wanting to know this small crest tray is now online…
Moving right along……..what are you up to this weekend? Anything off the charts or is it more of a mellow chill kind of weekend? We have dinner plans with friends and a few games to attend for my son. Tomorrow I look forward to a really calm day, and its supposed to get near 80! A little freaky if you ask me but I guess it’s better than snow….or is it? Hum…for such a “summer girl” that’s a surprising statement! Finally I get great joy in sharing posts that I have really enjoyed…… if you have some spare time this weekend,  here are a few posts that I thought were worth keeping and sharing……..definitely all very much worth the read!!

Wishing you a fabulous day and weekend!!

Meet our newest additions, happy Saturday and pretty posts to ponder!

Good morning,  we are trucking along…things are happening people! Today we are starting a a massive “clean up”, you can imagine the dust, dirt, etc that has accumulated…..the plan as of right now is that we will have the moving trucks trucking on over Thursday morning but will continue to move odds and ends into the house early this week. So as of Thursday, fingers crossed we may just be spending our first night there!

I hope you have enjoyed the wonderful guest posts I have featured lately,  with more to come in the next two weeks! I have been so lucky to have had some amazing blogging friends pitch in to help out (wouldn’t you agree) and there are plenty more to come, you will see me here occasionally during the week with some posts I have prepared in advance speckled with more guests posts, and it will be this way until I have moved and start coming up for air. For anyone who has moved, you know whats involved, I don’t need to explain. That said, since blogging as I have said before is my “therapy” I will be coming to blogland just as often as I can, you can bet your frappucinio on that! (yummm..that sounds so good right now).

Anyway, just a few things I wanted to share….loooooong awaited stove and the finished family room mantle. Love them both so  much, just had to post some pictures!  And a few other odds and ends, as well as some of your questions answered, which I got many from last Thursday, so this is a bit of a hodge podge post. And we are off……….

Allow me to present the newest addition to our family…my long awaited stove!!!!!! Tah dah!!
(Imagine there is a fancy red carpet)

And then our second finished and newest addition, the completed family room fireplace (pictures a little grainy as it was getting dark and didn’t have my “good” camera)

And a few of your questions answered…..

What is the color of the laundry room cabinets? Stark Paint “slate II”, or you can have your local paint store make up their match, (easily done)

Who makes the crystal and nickel sconce in my guest room and the hallway sconces? Both came from Decorative Crafts

What color is my bathroom walls and trim? We took linen white and added one part white to tone down a little of the yellow, and used white dove on the trim.

What kind of flooring did we use for the wood floors? Premium white oak, with some mahogany inlays. Almost as important if not as important, is making sure you have a very good finisher.

Where did my marble floor come from in my bathroom? That came from the queen of waterjet marble….New Ravenna. It is Calcutta gold in the Djinn pattern. Their things are exquisite and they truly can do anything. Click here to visit their site.

Some are still asking about the grill in the kitchen? It is from Heathcast in England.

(If your question was not answered here or via email feel free to email me)

And finally some posts to ponder that I have enjoyed as of late (some old and some new)…….great idea to go through these if you have a spare chunk of time this weekend and a good cup of coffee:)  Enjoy!

PLAIN CHICKEN……yummy baked brie bites, easy and delicious! Trust me they ARE as good a they look!

Meet our newest additions, happy Saturday and pretty posts to ponder!

Good morning, ?we are trucking along…things are happening people!

?I hope you have enjoyed the wonderful guest posts I have featured lately, ?with more to come in the next two weeks!
