I said I would use both banners for the month of December, so this one will be for the remainder..so pretty and so appropriate given we have snow on the ground.

We got a snowstorm which made it awfully cozy and the snow was a great excuse to stay in and enjoy all the birthday phone calls, gifts and even a few flower deliveries:) I felt special and we got out (in the snow) for dinner with friends, last night which was a nice break from the increasingly busy days.? I apologize to my many blog friends whose blogs I haven’t had a lot of time to visit…I promise I will be back and will have such fun seeing what I have missed. I will be posting a bit less in the next two weeks as I prepare for family coming in, my family Christmas party and Christmas in general but hope to post at least twice a week. My weekend as seen through my iPhone and a stupendous new giveaway!!

Hi there! I have had some crazy week. On Monday woke up with what looked poison ivy (sidenote I have a history of getting very severe cases of the dreadful rash)…so I race to the dermatologist at first sight and am immediately put on heavy duty steroids both topical and oral. However this time within 24 hours I started having a horrible reaction to the topical and its been one miserable week. Living like a leper not leaving the house all week with a fan at my side at all times, was the only way to stay reasonably comfortable.

?Only on Thurs night did I decide to not use the cream and took a scalding hot shower to get off every trace and like magic…I felt better. Not 100% but significantly better….and that is how I found? out that I was allergic, started doing research and was floored to see how many have such severe reactions to this stuff! So still on prednisone which makes me feel loopy and a little wacky but the extra burst of energy was a blessing in disguise to finish getting out a rush of orders. On top of all this not feeling great and certainly not looking my best, we are supposed to go to a black tie event tonight! I am feeling pressured which I cannot stand and want nothing more than to stay in my robe, close the door and call it a weekend. To be continued…..

So I told you I would be having a giveaway every week until Christmas and I am beyond excited to announce this new one! We all know Seda France, right? Certainly a name brand that needs no introduction. I have been using their products for many many years.

?The maker of some of my most favorite candles in the world. (imagine an Oprah voice saying that)! Their scents are totally sublime, the packaging so decadent and gorgeous that sometimes it feels just wrong to open them! I have been a long time fan of Seda France so was over the moon when I found out that they are expanding into all kinds of new territory. I flipped over the new addition of their spectacular new chinoiserie pillows…come to mama! They just introduced a fabulous pillow line. Filled with feather down, they measure 19″ x 19″ and feature a traditional pagoda design on one side and classic fretwork on the reverse…brilliant!

Seda France was ever so kind to donate not one but TWO pillows as a giveaway! So one lucky winner will get a pair of these gorgeous chinoiserie pillows in their choice of color. How amazing is that! All details on bottom how to win. Let’s take a look at these beauties shall we?

Love that these are two sided….so smart and so classically gorgeous, good work Seda France 🙂

Pretty amazing don’t you think? Which is your favorite color? I love them all but see either the blue or tan for my own home…but how fun would the orange or green be?

Since I have spent so much time in the house here are my musings taken with my iPhone…..

?Putting final touches on bedroom selections…love this new tape too…could be a pretty addtiion

?I am still determined to find a way to use this mantle….IN LOVE!

?The other day when I went to get the mail I noticed? the most beautiful sunset and that coupled with the late season foliage peeking through the front door was too pretty to not capture

?Forgot about this Greek key I bought in the spring in Charlottesville! I love it…going to add it to some pillows!

?Bought these beautiful tole sconces at a local antique shop…aren’t they pretty?

?I cannot believe what they are doing with tile today! These “parquet floors” are tile, indestructible…and so reasonable, we are looking for tiles for a large room in our basement, something that is no fuss.

LOVE my new cutting boards that just came in as new additions to my European kitchen line…how
exquisite are these and a massive 3″ thick!

?And love of course the beautiful large trivets…these are the ultimate serving piece for cheeses and antipastas, so pretty!

And the biggest highlight of my week (actually month, maybe even year) is putting in the most magnificent antique Serapi into our library!!! I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS RUG!? More to come as this room comes together……

Now how to win the pair of scrumptious pillows. Just visit Seda France, come back here and tell me your favorite item or scent and which color pillows you would love to win.?
If you want a second chance, leave them a comment on their Facebook page (be sure to mention you are from The Enchanted Home so we will count that as an extra chance).

Weekend musings…….

Hello! At long last a “catch up” post. I have a lot to share as this is way overdue, so take a seat and grab an extra cup of coffee!? I feel like one of those gerbils on a wheel this week , huffing and puffing to keep on truckin’! Its been one crazy hectic week and on top of that I ended up getting some kind of stomach bug and that coupled with the start of a nasty migraine made for a miserable 48 hours.

First things first! The winner of the fabulous Gretchen Scott “mini wardrobe”! The response was huge to this contest with good reason and one lucky lady is going to be adding some fabulous new frocks to her closet! Here is the winner as per randompicker.org. Congratulations goes to……

Couldn’t have gone to a nicer person! Please contact me with your shipping information. If you didn’t win….no worries, I will be having a giveaway every week from here until Christmas!! How exciting is that! Some seriously amazing ones, so stay tuned.

Thankfully the weekend though busy is all fun and games, so I am looking forward to that. I have a feeling its just going to intensify as Nov. kicks in and then comes frantic December. I have pretty much decided to make my holiday party a “post holiday affair”. Too much pressure on me and too many things going on to have a clear state of mind to plan it the way I like to do things. Doing it in January takes some of the pressure off….now I need to pray for not getting a giant snowstorm that day:)
My recent batch of goodies was pure mayhem…the responses was fabulous. I am always on the prowl for the next great thing, rest assured! And as luck would have it I scored a second batch of amazing finds, so if you missed out there is a second chance! I need to find the time and rest assured I will to organize the many many boxes, price and photograph them and they will be up in the next week. So stay tuned…..

I cannot believe we are in November. SCARY. To think that Dec. is next month! My days have been so full that I cannot imagine it getting any crazier and yet somehow Dec. does that to us…turns everything upside down, a good kind of crazy though! Anywho, here is whats new on my end….

Moving along, a lot of randomness today. So bear with me as I am all over the map:) Ready? Let’s go…

A MASQUERADE PARTY! We were invited to a gorgeous and I do mean gorgeous masquerade party, didn’t think those went on anymore! I wasn’t sure until an hour before if I had the energy to go after having been sick but I did and wore a “go to”? favorite gown with a mask. It was so beautiful, I of course felt compelled to capture a few pictures with my iPhone. (not the best quality but you get the idea).

?Upon entering the super grand foyer aka courtyard, the architecture was over the top amazing!

?Just look at that ceiling!

?I so loved the way this was set up! The crudites were all done in urns…I am copying that!

The room done by Safavieh Home was? a real showstopper.
And the all white dining room was something to behold….

?How gorgeous is this entrance!

?
?The windows were so fabulous I couldn’t resist taking a picture…even in the dark!

A MAJOR BLUE AND WHITE SCORE. Bought a HUGE collection of blue and white Spode, this is like the blue and white collection to end all collections. I have not even counted how many pieces but lets say its A LOT!!!!! Hey, you can never have too much blue and white:)

Upon walking into the shop, my blue and white radar was on high alert…it was beckoning to me:)

So many gorgeous pieces from plates and pitchers to cookie jars and casserole dishes…….

To pasta holders and pitchers to scalloped bowls and bread boxes…..
Half of it getting unpacked!
Love the bread boxes and casserole dishes

It included 3 pair of candlesticks

Love these scalloped serving bowls….so pretty

Driving back from Greenwich I spotted the biggest pumpkin I have ever seen,? this monster measured? about 4 feet across, I kid you not! I am sure it’s the winner of many a contest!

A VERY SUCCESSFUL E DESIGN PROJECT. A fellow reader and designer and I collaborated on an e-design project together (her family room)? and she also ordered these outrageously gorgeous custom tole sconces from my custom line, they are so stunning! She has superb taste and the way the room came out is so spectacular I just had to share it with you all. Feast your eyes on this…..

She is self taught and no doubt destined for great things……this is guaranteed to give you chills (the good kind).

MY ONLINE SHOP. Going to soon be adding some new products to my shop. A lot of what I sell are staples and therefore remain but I do add new items here and there. I am really a “staples” kind of girl. I like what I like and those things never get old. Just need to get organized, take pictures and tag everything. Definitely worth a look if you missed out last time! Here is a sneak peek…..

As scary as it sounds, Christmas is next month….crazy!? So I will be posting on a few deadlines, mostly for my custom napkin rings and statuary. I plan on suspending my shop for about 8 days during the Christmas season, I know how crazy busy it gets so will close up my shop on or around Dec. 18th until after the holidays for a much needed hiatus. I will be very busy and fulfilling orders until then so its not too early to start thinking about gifts.

For anyone who is thinking of the custom napkin rings for the holidays, it is not too soon to start placing orders. The latest you can order for guaranteed Christmas delivery is Nov. 18th.? Some are in stock, as extra have been ordered in anticipation of the holidays, but most are custom and take about 3 weeks however by mid November it will be closer to a 4 week plus lead time. MY HOUSE. Finally getting down to business with my bedroom. Ordered the gorgeous silk I have had my eye on for months for the big windows in my closet/sitting area. I may end up using this as the fabric for windows in my bedroom too. Found a perfect velvet for my bedroom (having an ottoman made) and 2 chairs recovered. Then found the perfect blue after a search for a few months of the perfect blue? stried velvet for my living room. Having pillows done and thinking of a tufted ottoman, love the look. So small steps of progress are indeed being made! I hope to have my first full sample of the chinoiserie for the dining room in the next 10 days and am super excited about that!! Here are a few visuals….
