Which would you choose?

Good evening from icy, snowy, messy New York.? Yesterday it was snow, today we are in the midst of a serious snow/ice storm. CRAZY weather, this is a winter surely to go down in the history books! I am so over winter, and praying for an early spring. Moving along…..

I cannot tell you how touched I was by all of the comments regarding my empty nester post yesterday and all the emails I received too…not only did you offer such? amazing and encouraging advice but honestly the kindness bestowed upon me brought tears to my eyes, thanks to you I am now feeling a wee bit more optimist about my soon to be empty nester status:) Whether you are an empty nester, soon to be one, or still have little ones at home…..reading over the comments is heartwarming and if you have an extra few minutes, I really encourage you to do so (click here). They would make a wonderful book! Thank you, I know I will refer back to it time and time again:)

So imagine this, the furniture fairy has paid you a visit…she is going to grant you with one wave of her wand a brand new fully done up living room! So imagine for a minute, one of these gets to be yours…which would it be? I set it up poll style…and since there are so many pretties, you can vote for two, so think hard:)

Fabulously French!

Good morning!! If you have been following my blog for any reasonable amount of time, you know I am totally enamored with?all things French. Particularly French decor, French architecture, French colors, French history. And then there is of course the gastronomic world of French food. Oh and the gorgeous language of France. And how could I leave out French fashion!! You get my point, every thing about France is just heavenly at least in my humble opinion and there are TOO MANY to list them all! ?French decor is a huge inspiration to me and will continue to be as we finally move into the stages of planning out the decor for our new French inspired home.

I appreciate all aspects of French design from the most rustic, farm/country look that is so popular today all the way to the most formal and opulent castle worthy decadence (though not for me personally). Much to their credit, the French have great design nailed!

?I have a huge collection of photos, way too many to put into one post but today is my ode to all the fabulousness that is French. Whether its a French chair, or a certain color palette, gorgeous paneling in a French style, whatever it might be that struck me, here is some of the inspiration I have gotten from beautiful French decor. What are your thoughts? Are you a fellow Francophile or do you like just bits and pieces? Is there any French influence in your home? Love to know!
