An amazing presale on the newest chinoiserie tole and a giveaway!

Hello friends and happy Monday to you. Hope you had a great weekend. The weekend weather here was a “10”….. FINALLY. Busy days over here, and really enjoying the tiny taste of spring we are getting. All of my poor empty planters and pots are begging to be spruced up and I cannot wait until that time presents itself. Never thought I could tire of winter, but alas it’s happened. Guess that comes along with turning 50…cold weather is for the birds.

Getting to design my own line of tole has been a dream that I have been lucky enough to get to do several times and counting.. I cannot tell you how much I enjoy the process and getting to share these beautiful pieces with you and , putting them in my own home is the icing on the cake! This part of what I do is enormously gratifying beyond words.

With each shipment, I get more and more excited about what is coming in. I might say it every time, but they really do get better. And this shipment is brimming with so many gorgeous exquisite things…my heart skipped a beat when I got the pictures. They are already on their way and should be here around April 28-May 2nd. As I do every container, I offer them up in a presale.

One of the biggest benefits to you as the customer is that now that I directly import many of my items, the prices are unheard of. I  have people often asking me how I can sell them at what I do….these items are many hundreds more than what they are here, so the values are astounding as they are with my porcelains and silver.

Bringing back some sold out pieces (all the bathroom accessories and Provence planters) and introducing a few new gorgeous lamps, trays and much requested….obelisks.

Perfect timing especially for the very popular Provence planters, just in time for spring planting! Here is a look at the beautiful items being HAND PAINTED……

Seven on Sunday

Hello and a very happy Mothers Day to everyone! First off I want to announce the winner of the chinoiserie planter giveaway! Congratulations goes to-

Please contact me at to provide your planter choice and shipping details

Today is a day that all of us mothers get to put our feet up (hopefully) and get treated like the priceless gems that we all are. NO job is as grueling nor as rewarding as that of being a mother, and it’s a 24/7 hour gig as we all know:) So it’s nice to have a day that is all about us…enjoy it, I know I plan to!

We hope,  after a week of non stop rain, gray skies and cool temps but they are predicting a sunny afternoon:)  We, however woke up to more rain AGAIN this morning so I am not so sure.  I am hoping to go and putter in my little garden later  and then hang out with my family. My son came home from college a few nights ago ….it’s so good to have him home, best gift ever!

We are supposed be heading into the city later but if the sun does come out we may stay home and BBQ, no matter what, it will be so nice for it to be all five of us together again:)

It was so cute, the night my son came home at 2am after a delayed flight, he came in exhausted but sooo happy and almost giddy to be home. I almost thought he missed Teddy as much as he did me, and the two of them slept on the sofa in the family room, it was so cute to see that sweet reunion of best buds.

So today is my Seven on Sunday where I share with you seven things that got my attention and here we go….

1 MY SHOWHOUSE MURAL. This came out sooo beautiful, thank you Paul MontgomeryA powder room became available last minute at the showhouse that I am going to next week (click here for info) as a designer had to step down. So I stepped up to the plate.

This was a challenge, doing everything from afar, and a little nail biting since I tend to be very OCD about everything. Thanks to Paul Montgomery, this little powder room has instantly gone from plain Jane to belle of the ball. Just look at this mural!

I will be sure you to show you the finished space when its all said and done….stay tuned! And if you are in the Nashville area, by all means come on down!! Click here for info on the showhouse and here for Paul Montgomery Studios.

The blue under the chair rail has since been painted another more muted blue (that one was based on the original mural which was brighter)

Light fixture just got hung-

2. MY LITTLE GARDEN. I was determined this year to have a working albeit small garden. Last year was rather pathetic and I vowed to step it up this year so I took pride and care to create a garden that hopefully, fingers crossed will thrive! With all the rain we have had this past week suffice to say, it’s gotten plenty of nourishment:)

A number of you have asked about where I got the raised beds..good ‘ol Home Depot. If I were to do this again I would have painted them a beautiful glossy moss green, that would be stunning- maybe next year!

3. INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST This week is heavy on the flowers and so many are just so breathtaking….but this first tiny cutie really stole my heart in honor of Cinco de Mayo! Lots of beauty this week….

4. FAVORITE PILLOWS. I have relied on Studio Tullia for beautiful blue and white pillows ever since we moved here. I got another recent batch including a fabulous monogrammed pillow new to the Enchanted Home collection and went outside to “play” on a rare afternoon of no rain (it only lasted an hour)!

I added my garden bench and gorgeous thriving mega Mrytle topiary in my newest small fishbowl…and loved the effect of all that blue and white against the green.  Click here to see them all.…they are simply exquisite!

5. FOR ALL MOTHERS OUT THERE. I found myself nodding to almost each and every one of these….and how many of you have heard and found yourself repeating these very things? This was way too sweet, funny and on the mark to not share with all the mothers out there…..

6. MONOGRAMMED NAPKINS THAT I AM SMITTEN OVER.  As my new site is being worked on behinds the scenes, there are going to be a number of changes/improvements. A lot of expansion and overall a much much better site, way more user friendly and a whole new look.I think you will love it!

One area that will be expanded upon is the monogrammed linens. I am so excited for what lies ahead and this sneak peek might just get you excited too….is there anything more stylish than a crisp white cocktail napkin with an oversized monogram? I don’t think so!

indegfsdfgx indefd33ax inafds3dex

indefdaaax inadadex inddf3ex

And my newest set of monogrammed napkins in the pagoda font…it’s a  love affair:)

7. A MOVIE I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE. This is going to be so entertaining…can’t wait til it comes out next week.  They say it takes a village and this documentary proves it does indeed, to create the spectacle and epic Met Gala event that is “the” event of the year. From beautifully dressed to downright wacky, yes fashion really is a form of art, isn’t it. Nonetheless, this is going to be good!

PS Is that Anna aka “Ice queen” almost cracking a smile?

Any thing here get your attention? Would love to hear what is on your agenda on this most important day:)

I just want to end this by saying hello and a very Happy Mother’s Day to my #1 fan…… my own mom, who I love to the moon and back. I am so sorry we are not together this year but we most definitely will be next! Hope your day is wonderful, relaxing and deserving of the person you are and have always been to me….I am a lucky girl who continues to aspire to be just like you, I love you Mom!

And to all my wonderful readers and friends out there, wishing you the same. Enjoy, until next time…..

My epic Enchanted Home Love Contest submissions are in full swing- I filled up so fast I opened it up a bit and have room for about another 8-10 pictures. One super lucky winner will win a YEAR’S WORTH of Enchanted Home products!  Click here for the details

Seven on Sunday

Hi there, and welcome to Superbowl Sunday first things first,? time to announce the winner of the rug from Decor Market, congrats goes to-

Please contact me at to provide your shipping details

Also several of you asked where to purchase the new Southern Home magazine, for anyone who who wants to subscribe (and trust me it is so worth it)? click here

So it’s the Superbowl…….you would think I am a huge fan but truth is I really am not but do love any excuse to indulge in great food:) Kidding side it is kind of fun to see two amazing teams come together and vie for the top prize plus the half time shows? are always entertaining and of course there are the commercials………

Unfortunately I am under the weather with a bad cold, low fever….so my plans have all come to a halt so that I can nurse myself back to feeling better. Hope whatever you are up to is above all relaxing and exactly what you want to be doing. Thanks for sharing your Sundays with me, and here we go…..

1 SUPERBOWL FOODS! . We often have a small gathering for the Superbowl? but as we weren’t sure if we would be here this weekend (were supposed to go away) , and sure enough our plans did just change since I am sick, so just as well.

But these are a few of my tried and true favorite things from years past for Superbowl Sunday. For me, its all about small bites…I love them way more than big heaping platters of gooey messy nachos or giant sandwiches, just not my thing. It has to be pretty and taste good:)

BAKED BRIE, this is sooo good! But last year I made mini baked bries and let me tell you they were a hit! Only down side is that there were no leftovers:( Click here for recipe

These mini taco salads are actually really easy to make, so good and so easy…always a hit! Click here for recipe, so easy!

Mini sliders, we have a local butcher that makes great little burgers, I just buy the buns, add cheese and all the fixings and serve them on a tray, if you really want to win over lifelong fans bake a big pan of curly fries in the oven and serve alongside the sliders, a sure hit!

And finally I want to try these (next year I guess)? I mean really how can these not be good! I would probably use the real lasagna noodles cooked al dente then cut out with a cup (for small group totally manageable ) Click here for recipe

And of course we always have our trusty Margaritaville machine always ready to do overtime…makes the best frozen margaritas! Another other new favorite drink which is a little less guilt inducing is taking half a glass of a nice light rose and fillaing the other half with peach flavored sugar free seltzer…YUM! It is literally addicting!

2. EXCITING THINGS FOR THE ENCHANTED HOME SHOP. You know my shop is very much my little happy place……it is where I get to curate my very own collection of all that I love. Many wonderful things are percolating behinds the scenes…getting in a huge and incredible silver container (late March) another unbelievable porcelain container in mid March, more stunning chinoiserie items coming late March as well (yes March will be a busy month).

And then there are some new additions coming along as well as the development of blue and white ginger jar and pagoda Christmas ornaments just in time for the holiday season. It is quite a process to design and develop, approve then manufacture…as in many months.? Here is a sneak peek at a few new porcelains and silver items heading this way in March, I need to start thinking of places to put these pretties- ( a presale will be offered late this month)

Some beautiful new tole pieces coming in that I do not have pics of yet but getting in these fabulous pagoda sconces in two colorways-

3. INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST So? much to love this week, though I say it every week…..never at a loss of great inspiration to share with you. Here are my favorites from this week…..

And because I cannot resist the chunky delectable rolls of a? super chubby baby….how ADORABLE are these!!

4. WINE MOVIES. Always drawn to any movie about wine, I guess first because I happen to like drinking it and actually find the entire industry fascinating, and secondly it almost involves beautiful scenery, Napa, Sonoma, south of France, Tuscany, you get the idea!

So suffice to say I have seen a lot of wine movies, A Good Year being one of my all time favorites. But a few others (some documentaries that I have also seen more than once and really enjoyed are below just in case you too were a oenophile in a former life:)

A? GOOD YEAR an long time favorite…

5. A FEW SHOES.. I must admit I have gotten a lot more casual in my ripe old age of 50……comfort often triumphs but looking good is important I cannot lie. However when I have to wear heels, OMG I become incredibly grouchy very fast, when my feet are in pain, watch out.

SO finally at long last found a pair that look great, give the height that one likes when dressing up in a gown but at long last these are comfortable and don’t me turn me into a grouchy meanie after only an hours use:) Say hello to my new favorite dressy shoe….and when worn with a gown it looks like a regular pair of painful heels:) I also love the neutral color goes with silver or gold……click here

And I know (at least for us) with snow on the ground and more to come, baring our toes seems like a lifetime away I could not resist giving into my hopefulness and buying these darling woven basketwork leather sandals, LOVE anything woven like this and they are neutral, an added plus, click here

And while at Anthropologie, I also spotted these adorable espadrilles and at $48 it was a no brainier, looks great with all white… here

and these in white…darling! Click here

6. A REMARKABLE LITTLE DRUMMER BOY! You have to watch this little guy…my parents sent this to me, he is 3! THREE!! The confidence and of course sheer talent are just mind boggling? BUT you really need to watch it to the end to his “grand finale”… he doesn’t miss a beat literally and figuratively and you can see LOVES drumming and just doesn’t want to stop….

7. MAGNIFICENT MARBLE . Tile has come a loooooong way. I haven’t looked much at what is happening with marble flooring in a while but for a new edesign job we are working on multiple baths and I am having a field day!

Then of course my mind started racing with possibilities of down the road when I get to start doing baths again at PB! Tilebar is a favorite source that always has such a beautiful and vast selection with exceptionally competitive prices, here are some current faves below….

Click here to visit Tilebar....if you place an order (call and tell them you are from The Enchanted Home, you might just get a special little something extra:)

So there you have it…is it wrong to be craving a slider, mini taco bites and a frozen margarita at 9am? Hum……..I will miss our normal Superbowl gathering, funny how this iconic event turns even a non fan like myself into an excited, enthusiastic fan, spatting football terms like I know what I am talking about:)

Hope whatever you are up to today, Superbowl or otherwise, it is fun, relaxing and mostly exactly what you want to be doing.? Enjoy and thanks for stopping by. Until next time……

PS A fabulous new floral promo will be starting later today, be sure to check back for those who had asked about it:)

Be careful what you wish for…..

Hello! Well you would have to be hiding under a rock these last few days to not know about about the whopper of a storm that hit us here in NY…as in colossal! How ironic that just a week ago I was whining about how we have not had any snow at all and that I had gotten so excited seeing a few snowflakes last weekend only to have them disappear just moments later.

Then THIS happens!? We got about 26″ of? snow which was quite incredible, especially given that even the weather “experts” didn’t quite call this right, only at the very end did they start ramping up their prediction amounts. It was/is beautiful but man it is A LOT of snow….I almost felt claustrophobic looking outside if you can imagine.

The scope of this storm warrants its very own post plus the bonus is a photo session with Teddy, who at first glance wasn’t sure about venturing out but changed his mind and had a lot of fun while letting me snap away as he frolicked in the white stuff. Very little narration necessary, think the pictures speak volumes!

During the blizzard….

And the next morning, Mr. Teddy was confused, annoyed and frankly not too happy about the immense amounts of snow impacting his morning prowl….

Oh! There is one of my lights:)

And finally switched up the vignette on the chest in my hallway and put the nutcrackers away who made way for foo dogs:)

Spruced things up in the powder room off the kitchen, a bit of blue and white, white flowers and tole never hurt anybody!

Feeling a little chilly? Hard to believe….this was indeed epic! Now the clean up has begun which admittedly will take some time, we have carved paths and finally the the snowplows made it through our driveway so we can actually get out today. While I very much enjoyed being home and getting to totally relax, I am a bit movied, ipaded and booked out……ready to get in my car and get out!

I will say though that I so enjoyed getting to rewatch four of my favorite John Grisham movies (love his books and movies) they never get old, finally finished 2 books!! One I finished and it is now one of my all time faves (will talk about it on Sunday). And we had food galore, everything from the most yummy gumbo to key lime pie (channeling my inner southern belle)! Glad it came but happier it’s over:) OK now can we waltz into spring……until next time!

I am planning on having a very lazy day today….? I need it, it was a hectic and somewhat stressful week. May go see a movie and may do nothing at all:) That’s why I so look forward to my Sundays……still no snow here people.

We had a few tiny little flakes one morning and I got so excited and by the time I grabbed my camera they were gone, bummer. Hoping still for that one great snowfall! Hope whatever you are up to today is fun, relaxing and mostly exactly what you feel like doing! Here is my Seven on Sunday…..

2. NEEDLE AND THREAD. This line is to borrow a word from my youngest son, just slaying it…such gorgeous gowns and dressy separates that look very “coutoure-ish” at prices that are to be believed! I seriously love each and every one of these….bought a top and skirt form them last year and they are exquisite, the beadwork is comparable to what you would find on gowns that are several thousand.? You can find them at Saks Fifth Avenue click here? or Net A Porter.

4. A NEW BED. Finally getting a new bed, love my current bed but have had it for over 15 years and have been wanting an upholstered bed for some time. I will likely do it in a soft creamy velvet or linen type creamy fabric. I like my bedroom to feel very tonal with accents of soft gray/blue. So here are my finalists…have a favorite?

Look at shape ONLY disregard colors::)

5. MY NEW CHINOISERIE AND SILVER! The response to both was amazing…..thank you, it really validates what I do and love. The chinoiserie items are now online, got them professionally photographed and love how they came out… here to see on my online shop.

For chinoiserie click here

The silver will all be online in the next 1-2 days

Whats next for my shop? Well…..waiting for my next porcelain container to finish production and ship hopefully mid Feb. and my bigger batch of silver will ship around that time as well and both will be here sometime in March. I will be getting a very exciting chinoiserie shipment sometime in late March.

Another very exciting thing that is in the works, by popular demand is that I am working on a blue and white Christmas ornament collection and fingers crossed it’s going to pan out as I am planning:) I will be,? as I always do holding presales on both shipments in Feb…so stay tuned, so many gorgeous things heading this way!

6. FOO DOG LUNCHEON Have a friend who will be celebrating a big birthday, think I am going to host a small luncheon for her and started playing with ideas, came up with a foo dog inspired luncheon, and why not! I placed a pair at every setting with the “big guys” in the center, it’s fun with a bit of whimsy thrown in, but not compromising one bit on style….what do you think?

indedfdfdfx indeddfdfx

Imagine the entire table set this way, each setting with a different colored foo dog pair

Love to play with mixing patterns with my Blue Willow china as the “foundation”? so started with this….

Then tried my beloved pagoda plates (they came in 6 different patterns and sadly are no longer available but I may be changing that:)….

Then tried all three together to layer the effect….

in34dex 343index

Think all three work and there’s not a bad combination in the bunch….

7. THE BEST FITTING PANTS PERIOD. I must say that after years and years of buying pants in every size from small single digits to the dreaded double digit size I finally found a pair of pants that literally is totally true to the hype. I wrote about them before and just have to tell you that I am now a lifelong fan. NYDJ, “Not your Daughters Jeans”, might sound like a cliche but its anything but.

These things are like magic, they fit beautifully and fulfill all that I expect in pants-? wash amazingly-check, don’t stretch out in all the wrong places-check and most importantly zip up and button up with zero effort-check check! I have them in many colors and a few different styles and cannot say enough about them….fabulous! Click here to? see all styles at Nordstrom (a few are even on sale)! A few of my personal faves are below…..

These corduroy pants are an AMAZING deal……lowest price I have ever seen now on sale! Click here

These I own in three colors, they are fabulous! Click here

These are great too, a velvet ankle straight? legged pant…wore them recently with a beautiful Lacey blouse and they are super comfortable now on sale:) Click here

And these jeans just might be the most comfortable pair I have ever worn not to mention with the right amount of stretch they are super slenderizing..that is priceless:) Click here

So there you have it, anything strike your fancy here today? And what are you up to this weekend? Hoping you are enjoying a great weekend, I want to thank you for stopping in, always enjoy your visits! Until next time……

Seven on Sunday

Hello and happy Sunday! Rainy, dark and stormy over here today…perfect movie day. And as I am so out of the movie loop and haven’t seen anything that is new, looks like I have lots to choose from with The Big Short and Joy at the top of my list……but I must be home in time to see all the fun Golden Globes pre show fashions! Love awards season:) You can see my past recap on the last Golden Globes by clicking here…will be sure to post on this years as well!

Been a busy week with the long awaited arrival of my gorgeous chinoiserie tole…it was so exciting to get what to me, are the prettiest pieces from my chinoiseris tole yet. An exciting 2 day sale has started which will end tonight and trust me it is something you will not want to miss.

Hope whatever you are up to this weekend is fun and relaxing. I was thinking this is the first winter that I can remember that we have not had a single snowflake…kind of makes me sad, so old man winter please come back (just for a little while)!

I desperately want one good snow storm then we can happily stroll into spring:) Anyway here is my Seven on Sunday…..

3. PRETTIEST WINE I EVER DID SEE! Isn’t this the most gorgeous bottle? It happens to be a mighty tasty rose as well and I love the name, Summer in a bottle. I am in love with it and what a beautiful hostess gift to give! Click here to visit Wolffer Estates.

I normally drink rose in the summer but now that I make the most delicious rose sangria,? it is now a year round option in this house. Very simple, here is my recipe below (to server approx. 6-8) or 1 if I have had a very tough day lol:)

Rose Sangria-

2 bottles of rose, fresh berries ( I like blackberries and raspberries), a bag of frozen peaches, 2 oranges cut in cubes (skin off), about 12 strawberries cut up, a sprig of mint, fresh OJ (can use ready made if you don’t have fresh but fresh is much better), 3 TBSP sugar, and a bottle of peach sparkling water.

Add the fruit with rose and using a potato master or pestle, gently mash the fruit into the liquid. I normally pour it in a big bowl or into two pitchers.

Put in fridge for ideally at least 8 hours (overnight works well too) or you can put in freezer for an hour or so

When you are ready to serve, add 2 cups orange juice and a bottle of peach sparkling water. Pour into glass making sure some of the fruit is included add a sprig of mint….voila!

4 MY CHINOISERIE TOLE HAS ARRIVED!! This is super exciting for me, some truly exquisite pieces….by far my favorite container of the tole yet. All of these beauties are currently up for grabs on a presale that ends tonight. Click here for all details.

5. DECISIONS DECISIONS! Need your help……trying to figure out which lamps I like better for a living room chest (pay no attention to the lampshades, just threw some I had on hand to get an idea)…thoughts? Think I am leaning towards one but keep going back and forth!

And how about here, do you like the idea of an orchid or the peonies (a low arrangement)?

6. ONE DELICIOUS SALAD. This was sooooo good, a new staple for me. Not so different from the one I have made for years but this one with a few extra ingredients is incredibly tasty and quite pretty too. Actually makes me look forward to eating a salad…..a first. Click here for the recipe, you will be happy you did!

7. BOOKS. One of my many “resolutions” this year is to start reading again. I used to be an avid reader then somehow life took over where I don’t feel there are nearly enough hours in the day, sound familiar?

However I miss the feeling that only a good book can deliver about being transported to another place….nothing quite like it.? So here are a few that I recently ordered that I am excited to begin, and hopefully reignite my love for reading……

So there you have it…anything excite or entice you? Hope whatever you are up to is wonderful and mostly, relaxing. I look forward like you cannot imagine to my lazy Sundays:) Thank you for stopping by, until next time…….

My showhouse space…..

Good morning, I have so missed being on my blog, definitely my happy place. We are still as a family in mourning over the tragedy of one of my closest friends son’s death which I spoke of here. It is still quite surreal and having to attend the private wake and burial yesterday was heart wrenching and the saddest funeral I have ever had to attend.

I needed to take off a few days to pay respect to the family and take time to process this tragedy. Thank you so much for your kind words and condolences and many private emails.? When my friend is up to it I am going to share that post with her, I know it will warm her heart to see the outpouring of love. So please visit by clicking here if you want to add a message.

The Ronald McDonald showhouse was a wonderful success and I am so honored to have been a part of it. It sure humbles you to hear the stories that make the Ronald McDonald house thrive and go on. I cannot imagine working for a greater or more noble cause. I couldn’t have been happier with my space. Remember the rendering of my vision done by Patricia of PVE? She did a brilliant job of bringing my idea to “life”….and it definitely validated my vision.

2unnamed u1nnamed

There were so many wonderful rooms, and it was such fun getting to see all of the different interpretations of design. I must say my space came out exactly as I had hoped it would and in fact even surpassed my expectations. The reaction to it was so wonderful, flattering and validating! I am now dying to recreate that space in my own home but have run out of places:) So here is a little bit on the room in progress and then the final result.

Left my house with a car loaded to the gills for day one of installation-

unn1212sasaamed unname7667d unnavbbvmed

Arriving to the enormous tent almost 200 x 100! It had 22 vignette spaces around the entire perimeter of the tent where each designer spent two days working their magic!

unaa2named 22aaunnamed

In progress- at first brushstroke, I was in love with the color I chose Guacamole by Benjamin Moore, now I want this exact room in my own home!

And then I started to bring out all of the elements that would make my space once the room was painted and dry-

If you missed my tutorial on how I finished these brackets click here

Also had these adorable cookies made using my logo and put them out on a tray for the evening of the gala (wish I had a better pic)

u22sannamed unname6ygd

First brackets getting put up

Exactly as I had hoped they might look:)

The beautiful lantern getting hung

Adding a big spray of blossoms to the blue and white vase was a beautiful finishing touch surrounded by elegant decor books

The stunning raised velvet fabric by Tilton Fenwick made the most spectacular table cloth, I trimmed it with navy blue bullion fringe and a decorative tape…it was just fabulous!

YES! Just how I had envisioned it would turn out…..

O unnam3443ed

Then we added the beautiful paintings donated by Frances of NYC Painter to the left wall- (click here to contact and see her beautiful work)

Then I realized I needed a balance on the right wall so added these two beautiful blue linen benches found the night before!

And as the last finishing touches were put on,? I got my heart set on adding another pair of brackets with blue vases and literally the morning, waited outside a friends antique shop until she opened and as the stars were aligned she had a perfect pair and gave them to me at a price that could not be beat, and we all know I had the blue and white vases ready, willing and able! This was the final and perfect touch…..

ucxxcnnamed unnqwqqqamed

These pictures below? were taken with my Nikon camera so are slightly clearer and larger however did not have it for the final room shot (with added brackets and jars) however a professional photographer was on hand to shoot the space so I will share them with you when I have them-

The blossoms and vase from my shop were the perfect centerpiece for the 36″ round center table

Used my foo dogs and small planter with orchid for one of the small consoles

The beautiful paintings on the left wall are from Frances of NYC Painter….exquisite original oils added so much to the space!

unnam354235ed uadsfannamed unnam56456ed

And finally a huge thank you to each of my wonderful sponsors without whom this space simply would not have happened-

Benjamin Moore for the paint (click here)
Safavieh for the fabulous furniture, lantern and rug (click here)
Vendome Press or the beautiful coffee table books (click here)
Duralee/Tilton Fenwick for the magnificent table fabric (click here)
PVE for my beautiful room rendering (click here)
Frances (NYC painter) for the magnificent artwork (click here)
Kravet for the trim ( click here)

(All porcelains from my shop, The Enchanted Home Shop)

And that,? my friends is a recap of my show house space soup to nuts. I so loved my space and was really proud of it, would LOVE to have that exact room in my own home, now I need to brainstorm:) Loads of fun,? and anytime I can combine “giving back” to a phenomenal cause like The Ronald McDonald House and my passion for design…..I am fully on board!

I was so honored to have been asked to do this and by all accounts the evening and fundraiser were an immense success. For more info on how you too can support The Ronald McDonald House click here.….thank you as always for stopping by and wishing everyone a wonderful evening.

Seven on Sunday

Hi friends..its a soggy, rainy, windy and dreary weekend over here, great weekend to stay in and catch up on so much. Finally seeing The Intern today….was supposed to go twice before that and both times something came up, I was so disappointed as I had plans the very first day it came out to see it with a friend but got sick.? I LOVE everything Nancy Meyers does. I just know it will not disappoint and am in the mood for one of? those great “feel good” kind of movies.

Really want to see Everest in 3D too, you might have read about me that I have had a fascination with all things Everest for a long time. It really peaked a few years ago when I read just about every book on the subject and watched every documentary, it has somewhat waned but I still find it utterly fascinating!

As I do every Sunday, I share seven things I am loving and this weekend is another bevy of beauty and this week in particular it’s really over the top kind of beauty, so here we go…..

1 HOLLY HOLLON. A new name for me, but one I will not forget. An artist extraordinaire who has the most exquisite stationery offerings. I have to keep these in mind for my holiday cards, any party in my future and of course my eventual kids weddings:) Not to imply they will turn the planning over to me of course but I can dream.

Really in love with her work and see an order in my future! Just feast your eyes on the beauty here! Click here to find out more about Holly Hollon.

2. INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST As I do every Sunday I share with you my favorite instagrams of the week. I always have to use restraint as there are so many to love but these are my tip top favorites, so much beauty this weekend!

3. FABULOUS HERALDRY. I? get occasionally asked about who I recommend for wedding monograms and heraldry and there are a few names in my treasure chest of resources. Gina Langford however? is a newer name to me but one I will certainly keep handy.

What beautiful work she does….so much so that Town and Country recently honored her exquisite work as being a wedding artist to know about….I concur! You can contact Gina at

4. A FAVORITE SOUP RECIPE. I loooove soup and make it 1-2 times a week during the winter. I enjoy a good chicken tortilla but have only enjoyed it in restaurants as I had never made? it before….until last week. Gave this recipe a whirl and it was soo delicious. My entire family loved it and it will no doubt become a new staple in my soup repertoire. Click here to be taken to The Cafe Sucre Farine for the full recipe.

5. A TRIP THAT MIGHT JUST MAKE YOU A LITTLE JEALOUS. Imagine your husband came home one night and surprised you and told you to pack your bags right away, that you were heading to Tuscany the very next day! Well that is precisely what happened to a lucky friend.

I think my husband needs a crash course in her husbands class! She shared her amazing pictures and they were just too gorgeous to not share with my readers, knowing how much you love beauty as do I. So get swept away in her pictures from Tuscany……..

PS Don’t be too jealous, she is beyond nice, kind and? sweet and so deserved this trip:)

And Kathy was sweet enough to even think of me and look what I got all the way from Tuscany….

6. AMAZING NEW PRODUCTS SOON TO BE COMING TO THE ENCHANTED HOME! I swear I am like a kid in a candy shop when I get new goodies. The things I am most excited about are all chinoiserie related…so many beautiful things coming I must make room in my home pronto! Gorgeous lamps, mirrors, lanterns and sconces.

The chinoiserie pillows and I will soon be carrying solid wood hand carved wooden brackets in antique gold and softly glazed colors…really gorgeous stuff! Here’s a sneak peek of some of the goodies getting their finishing touches put on……

How stunning are these lamps! I will offer them in 3 colorways…..

This mirror will come in 3 colorways (already making room in my own home) how fabulous are they!

I am beyond happy to be introducing hand carved solid wood brackets, they will be offered in a soft antique gold and a painted glaze finish to start-

(here they are having just gone through the carving stage yet to be finished)

7. SHOWHOUSE PROGRESS. Well the big week is upon us, I am equally excited as I am nervous. There will be a over 400 people at the gala event on Thursday and it’s rather nail biting but in a great way.

I am pretty much together in my planning, its been a fast and furious week of last minute to do’s and my DIY project (brackets) took on a life of its own (an entire post will be devoted to that). But I am pleased to say the end result was exactly what I was looking for:)

I did a mini dress rehearsal of the table featuring the absolutely gorgeous green velvet tablecloth I have made of this wonderful Tilton Fenwick fabric and navy bullion fringe…..

Wish me luck! The next time you see all of this will be in the space itself, (be sure to follow on Instagram click here to follow me)

So there are my seven things for this weekend….anything here excite you? What about something you have discovered this week, anything worth sharing? Thank you as always for stopping by, wishing you a relaxing Sunday and a great close to your weekend. Stay warm! Until next time…..
