Seven on Sunday

Good Sunday morning to you. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Here the sun and beautiful skies have come out after a few dreary, rainy and cold days.  I have a full weekend planned and setting up for a luncheon I am hosting this week so plenty to keep me busy today. Here we go with my Seven on Sunday-

1 SHUTTER COLOR IS DECIDED!! Thanks to all who chimed in about my shutter paint color last week. I hemmed and hawed and something about my final choices was not quite right. So…….I kept on trucking and knew I would find just the right color.

It had come down to Silvermist or Nimbus Gray but I wanted something with a tinge more blue and a bit less gray.  Yes my husband thought I had lost it with the amount of time I was putting into it and yes, my persistence paid off.

I found “the one”. And  am100% sure about it. I even love the name, Nantucket Fog. As I started to do some research, it appears this is also a favorite of many designers. Here you go…..

And here it is on a piece of wood to get an idea of how it will look on a shutter, love it! Its a true blue/gray a little deeper than some of the others but I took. many’s advice about the strong fading sun and think this has just enough contrast.

2.THE MOST BEAUTIFUL DENTAL OFFICE Oh my…I have never seen such a chic dental office..have you? Mine sure does not look like this, this is downright dreamy!! Summer Thornton is the mastermind behind this beautiful office, incredible!!

I always have said if I owned a traditional office like a doctors office (or dental) that I would really work to make it feel like an upscale private home and that is exactly what she did…..brava to her!

Click here to see this incredible space and others.

3 OFF SHOULDER TOPS Loving this new style…so fresh and pretty, and they just scream chic summer dressing. I had to give in and buy a few to jumpstart my summer wardrobe. You dont’ have to wear them completely off the shoulder but these are all beautiful looks for warm weather dressing.

Ordered this, it is so darling and I thought the price was a mistake, $35.00 really? Click here

Got this a few weeks ago, love this color!!! A beautiful top dressed up or down. Click here

Love navy and white together and this simple navy peasant blouse is not only so reasonable but makes dressing a cinch, click here

Considering this one, love pink and with white slacks would be perfect for a daytime or even evening outing.  So delicate and feminine…beautiful! I have a few showers coming up and this would be perfect. Click here

4 INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST. No theme in particular this weekend,  just a random group of fabulousness! You can see I had a hard time this week narrowing it down…..

My fave of this week is this gorgeous picture….it is a sure sign of a very devoted Enchanted Home customer!

5. FABULOUS PILLOWS. I have worked with Studio Tullia. and my backyard and patios in the summer are a testament to just how much I love their pillows!

Some of the new arrivals from Studio Tullia have me swooning and daydreaming about a little tweaking of my very own:) Click here to see more…

6. PROVENCE PLANTER MAKEOVER! So with the planting season on our doorstep, lots of us are starting to think about coming out of hibernation and the great outdoors. Of course that means sprucing up our patios and of the first impression people get….our front doors!

So happy the Provence planters are coming back in about 2 weeks! I love giving “Provence planter makeovers”. This is a recent one when a customer needed some direction on her front door. A beautiful home that deserved an equally beautiful front door welcome. The planters presently there were way too small and actually dwarfed everything around it. When it doubt go a little bigger, not smaller.

She wasn’t sure about the color Provence planter she wanted, but we both decided black was the way to go. So stately and elegant, and it accents her black shutters beautifully. Take a look at the mini Provence planter makeover-

And even tried using two smaller Provence planters by the front door…..

7. SUNDAY’S SURVEY The other day I had forgotten my phone aka my lifeline. I was heading to an appt. and already running late,  had no time to go back and get it and felt the anxiety rising in me about not being reachable. The shock and awe of realizing I had left it behind was telling:)  I contemplated turning around but didn’t because it would have delayed me and I couldn’t be late.

So the strangest thing happened, I went to my appt. anxiety and all, then ran a few errand afterwards and you know what? I LOVED the freedom it gave me,  I also loved the idea of unplugging (a happy accident) and taking in everything around me instead of hearing the beeps and rings go off and being distracted by my phone as is often the case.

There was something incredibly freeing about it and I really enjoyed the 3 hours or so that I didn’t have my phone. Make no mistake when I got back it looked like a mini airplane terminal with all the sights, sounds and lights going off at once from various people trying to reach me (and that includes solicitors). But I realized not only can I live without it but I actually liked being without it. And vowed to start doing this on a regular basis. Even if for an hour, it is good for mind, body and soul.

What do you think? Do you regularly “unplug” or is it just unimaginable? I will be curious to see what you have to say on the matter……

That’s a wrap, thanks as always for stopping by. Tomorrow is delivery day of the huge container of porcelains, that is always an exciting day! Wishing you a wonderful day and a great end to your weekend!:) Until next time….

Seven on Sunday

Happy Easter to all of my fellow Easter celebrating friends and readers. To  my Jewish friends and readers, hope you enjoyed a wonderful Passover. Beautiful day here, with a high getting to a whopping 76 degrees, practically summer!  I want to announce the winner of the chinoiserie tole tray. Congrats goes to-

Please email to provide your shipping address and color choice so this tray can be on it’s way!

Wishing everyone a wonderful and blessed day with your family and. loved ones. My parents are in town so it’s going to be a day of family and togetherness (less two sons who are at Coachella, they CLAIM they did not realize it was Easter when they booked the trip…uh huh:)  Here we go with my Seven on Sunday-

1 FABRICS AND TRIMS…OH MY! I so love playing with fabrics and a current job that has been ongoing is starting to get the finishing touches.

This job is one I have been working on for the last several months and it is shaping up so beautifully. I shared some pics here (the NJ project) and will surely show a final reveal when the room is totally done. The final element will be the fabulous Ralph Lauren rug being made (to be delivered in May. We just firmed up all the pillows to be made, here is the rug-

The beautiful rug from Ralph Lauren is being made for them and due here within the month and feast your eyes on all the fabulous trims-

2 FOLLOWUP REPORTS ON A FEW THINGS I recommend things that I like and share my ideas often. Sometimes its fun to follow up when I really really like something. So here are a few recent “reviews”

Get these shoes! Love them, they are so comfortable now have them in two colors. Very chic, super comfy and a great everyday espadrille. Click here for info

These also are too cute, love the color and great scalloped shape plus the color screams ‘warm weather dressing,  here I come”! Click here for info

And finally have been using Glopro for about 10 days,  using it 3 times a week. I just recently learned what microstiumlation/mircroneedling is…and it makes perfect sense to now be able to do it at home, as traditionally this was done in a dermatologists office. It’s easy peasy but I swear its not my imagination, I think my skin is looking better and better.

I have good skin but as this sheds that first sloughy layer off of skin, so allows the skin to breath and open up the pores.  My favorite moisturizer, La Prairie really penetrates the skin. I will say this was well worth the investment and I am going to continue to do this 2-3 times a week as recommended.

I bought mine at Nordstrom as they stand behind their products no questions asked, just in case I didn’t like it. So far though, it is an absolute keeper and I think the buzz Glopro is getting is well deserved. For what a dermatologist charges, this thing pays for itself in one visit. Click here for info

Great article in the NY Times, “How to reduce wrinkles without lasers or chemicals” click here to read

3 INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST. Very “Easter heavy” and why not, it only comes once a year with a healthy dose of spring and all around pretty thrown in!

4.GORGEOUS NEEDLEPOINT PILLOWS. I so love this exquisite line of very fine needlepoint/aubusson pillows. Got in a handful and will be offering them in a flash sale soon, to “test” the market before I commit to a large order. Thoughts welcome! Please participate in this short poll-

5. PRETTIEST SCONCES! I am excited to soon start carrying this most beautiful line and went with a client to the company headquarters to see them in person. So spectacular!! I have used them for years and often use them in jobs as well, made of the highest quality.

I am using a number of them for my PB home and have their more traditional ones in my current home. Here are some of what I saw….not one I don’t just love.

And this lamp I have used so many times and for good reason,  it is positively gorgeous-

6. MR TEDDY BUNNY. Always save the best for last, say hello to our resident Easter bunny…never seen one cuter! He wishes all of you a very happy happy Easter Sunday but demanded these darn ears get taken off right after his pic was taken, he said they made him look like a donkey. What can I say, he is one smart dog:)

7. SUNDAY’S SURVEY. So today, this is about summer and your plans or lack of plans: Never have I appreciated and enjoyed the blessing of no agenda as I do now that am working full time.

For me summer signifies the loosening up of a strict regimented non stop schedule. Its time to sit back and indulge in cocktails (sometimes before 5), lobster rolls and beach days. Of course mixed in with work as life doesn’t stop but taking more time to chill. Summer almost feels like a “temporary free pass” to take extra time off and relax a bit more than we might other seasons. How about you? What does summer mean to you?

And that my friends is a wrap. Hope you enjoyed this post. Wishing everyone a Happy Easter and a happy Sunday.

Always love to hear from you and happy you make me a part of your Sunday every weekend morning. Until next time…….

AS OF MONDAY MORNING- Brand new flash sale on the most exquisite line of brass/crystal lamps. You will not find  more beautiful lamps! Click here to view

Seven on Sunday

Hello and happy Sunday….finally starting to feel like spring after a dreary, cold rainy few days here in NY.  FINALLY! Hope you are having a great weekend, things are good here especially now that the sun is shining.

Heading into the city today and have a full schedule, but a fun one:)  After busy chock full work weeks, I love my Sundays, to pretty much do as I please. Here we go with my Seven on Sunday…..

1 WONDERFUL VALIDATION FOR MY BLOG/SHOP. Two things happened lately with regard to my blog/shop that really validate what I do and why I love it, and boy, did it make me feel good.

My blog was nominated for best blog in the interior design category for the JDR Industry Awards!! So exciting, if you haven’t voted and like me, really really like me, perhaps you will want to vote for me? It only takes two seconds (literally). Click here to vote

Then I was given a heads up by many readers/customers that in the April issue of House Beautiful, I was mentioned as being a “go to” source for blue and whites by renowned designer Gerald Pomeroy. What a validation!! Thank you:)

2.THE ULTIMATE RIVER CRUISE. River cruises have become a big deal. Well, a new boat is in town and it is most definitely going to be the grande dame of river cruises! Say hello to the S.S. Joie de Vivre which will soon set sail the Seine.

It almost looks like something out of a James Bond movie, and is undeniably very luxurious. Though I have never personally had any interest in going on one, this amazing vessel could well change my mind.  Click here to find out more. Luxury overload….

3. INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST. So much beauty this week, it was hard to narrow it down. I love the daily inspiration I find on Instagram, here are this weeks picks-

My favorite this week is this beautiful picture, this is Sharon Santoni’s house in France, looks right out of a storybook!

4 A NEW ESPADRILLE I AM IN LOVE WITH. Found these and love them, so much so that I just ordered them in another color.

They are leather so really comfy and allow your feet to breath. In fact I will be wearing them on my jaunt to the city today. They are the perfect daytime shoe with a slight wedge, love these!! Click here to see

5 PILLOW FEVER. So I have had a bunch of pillows made for a variety of reasons, clients, a concept house and then of course a few for me:)  The reaction when I shared them was tremendous so I am excited to announce that we are going to be offering them up for sale within a few weeks time. I love them all but think this first one might just be my most fave…I mean come on, a ginger jar trim, does it get better?

This is a striae rich soft velvet with a thick ginger jar trim, will be offered in five velvet colors

The famed Bali Hai from Quadrille is a classic and gorgeous in both green and blue. Excited to be offering both.

6.GLOPRO. I have been hearing a lot about this and I feel like every time I open a magazine,  it’s being talked about. Read an interesting article in Vogue not long about  the newest rage in skincare,  Micro-needling is a new concept to me, but I am intrigued. Anything that triggers the natural exfoliation/rejuvenation process gets my attention!

So I took the plunge and this much buzzed about gadget is on its way,  would love to know if anyone has used  it? A friend of mine got hers a week ago and said she can, after only a few uses see her skin looking better…sounds like a good testament to me. Anyone else? Click here to learn more....

7 SUNDAY’S SEVEN. OK, this week is about reading. I used to be a pretty voracious reader. I used to also have the luxury of a lot more time, and I am going back to before technology and gadgets took over our lives. I also belonged to a book club which i loved and anticipated every month. Then all kinds of things happened and I feel like I hardly read anymore. Yet, when I do finally settle into a good book, Iam reminded of the power of getting lost in a really great novel.

Vacations always meant loading up on books and often I would read 2 or 3,but now I have my iPad and instagram and Words with Friends and all kinds of other outside interference invade. Or maybe it’s a late stage of ADD or maybe just maybe this is a trend in which I am not alone. I think I need to allot a certain amount/period of time a week to devote to reading and try and stick to it as I would any other appointment. So tell me which best describes you and reading…..

Anything here get your attention? Thank you as always for stopping in, wishing everyone a wonderful, beautiful springy day and hope the birds are chirping wherever you might be. Until next time….

Seven on Sunday

We are well aware that the site has been lagging/slow to respond and are sorry for any inconvenience. The good news is we are in the process of switching to a new faster server so you will soon start seeing a big improvement!

Hello!! Hope your first week of 2017 was a good one.  I was under the weather but after a few days of rest am happy to say I am feeling better. I want to first announce the winner of the beautiful blue and white bowl. Congratulations goes to-

Please email me at to claim your prize and provide your shipping details so your bowl can be on it’s merry way!

Back to business and back to my Seven on Sunday, which I so missed doing but then the holidays took over:) Things are settling down here, the ornament and porcelain mayhem has died down, and mayhem it was but the most fun type possible:)

Hard to believe the new year is here, just as I was going to vent about not getting a big snow day so far, the weather gods surprised us yesterday and we got about 8-9″!!

We all know that everything looks prettier sprinkled in “nature’s fairy dust’ as I  like to call it even though it curtailed some weekend plans. We enjoyed a lazy and unexpected down day at home and I must say it was quite nice and today will be more of the same especially with the Golden Globes on tonight.  Let’s get started with my Seven on Sunday…..

1 TWO REALLY GREAT NEW ETSY SHOPS! Etsy is  a fun world to get lost in…I have not had not much time to visit there but when I do I always find something good! These two shops offer such wonderful, unique things, I had to tell you about them as they are great finds-

These notepads, cards and  amazing monogram decals that can be used for so many things are not only so fabulous but her prices are incredible too, great gift/party favor ideas! Click here to visit Sparkly Pink Polka Dots

And this darling company, Folk Fortune makes the cutest pompom slippers and straw totes, really unique and so pretty! Click here to visit them

2.INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST Missed sharing my faves and this week was hard pressed to narrow it down, but alas I did! Still some holiday inspired pictures here, as I am not quite over them (my tree still up would be proof of that) and a mix of other fun pictures-

And my favorite this week is this one because I feel like I died and went to wedding invitation heaven, I would love this for my eldest son (now we just need to locate a suitable bride) lol

3. AMAZING NEW ITEMS COMING IN! I have lots of goodies coming this way and you would think after doing this for almost 3 years I would be jaded but nope, when I love something I LOVE it. There will be several porcelain containers this year, more stunning chionsierie tole, an amazing container   late Feb, and then some really exciting top secret projects are in the works.

If you can believe the ornament collection for 2017 is starting to be designed, most of the top sellers will be coming back but there will be some additions as well and you can bet I will be asking and counting on your opinions, so stay tuned…

These long sold out and much awaited chargers are finally coming back next week! Be on the lookout for a quick promo on them-

The Provence Planters are also coming next week! Most were presold but I do have some extra which I will be offering for a one day promo within the next 10 days or you can email us to find out what we will have available at

A few of the many porcelain beauties coming in the Feb. container (lots of new planters and new items)

Here is a look at some of the beautiful new chinoiserie tole pieces which will be here in about a month (will hold a presale in a week or two)-

4. A FAVORITE NEW RECIPE As we start the new year trying to eat a bit healthier, I am on the lookout for tasty but healthy recipes,  I tried this and it’s a winner, super tasty.

This zucchini lasagne will most definitely become a regular part of our meal plan, though admittedly with just two of us now I cook less. I made a big casserole of it and froze half for a future easy dinner.

On Sundays I love to stay in and cook something yummy especially during the cold winter months and think this is actually going to be on the  menu today, with a big arugula salad with lemon and olive oil…it’s a great and very flavorful meal . Click here to Skinnytaste for the full recipe.

5. A FASCINATING MAN. We all know the  name, Warren Buffet. By all accounts, not only is he known for his incredible generosity with his many billions but by his iconic vision and business acumen. A fascinating documentary has just come out on his life and I cannot wait to see it! Such an inspiring man…..this is going to be GOOD!!

6. A CHIC NEW COAT My mom got me this darling coat from Tory Burch for Christmas and I just have to say I love it….it is sooooo cozy, soft an warm. I love how it’s not a stiff coat but instead one that is as soft as they come, feels like I am wrapped in a cozy blanket…… I love the color too, goes with everything. Thanks Mom:) Click here to find out more

7. SUNDAY’S SURVEY. One of the things I hope to do more of this year is travel, we used to travel a lot then somehow between our kids getting older, busy schedules and of course my extreme fear (claustrophobia in a big way) we have done less. I hope to change that this year…..when I finally do get on a plane and get to where I am going, I wonder why we don’t do it more often!

Travel just broadens your mind in ways that nothing else can… about you? What is your take on travel as we begin the new year?

So that wraps up this Sunday…anything here get your attention? Hope you enjoyed the post, and wishing you a wonderful and relaxing Sunday! I will be hunkering down later today for the always fun preshows for the Golden Globes, love awards season!!  Until next time….

PS One more day for the chinoiserie/tole lighting promo, click here to read all about it

Seven on Sunday

Good Sunday morning to you. My container came in!! So excited and about 40% of orders are boxed and ready to go,  which will ship tomorrow. The rest will be worked on tomorrow through Wed and the last of the orders will ship Tues/Wed. Everything looks great and there will be a one day arrival sale as there always is later this week so stay tuned!

We are having the most delightful fall weather, it is official, fall is here!! Since it’s my favorite season, no complaints from me though I will say I really enjoyed the more laid back vibe of summer’s long, lazy, sunny days.

So how is your weekend going? Hope well, we had dinner plans with friends and having a family diner party tonight.  We also got to see Snowden. Anyone else? I loved it, and wast totally captivated by the story, I came home and promptly covered the little camera on top of my computer with a piece of tape, thanks Snowden for reminding me that you have to be ever so vigilant!

So as I do every Sunday, I share 7 things that have gotten my attention, ready to begin? Here we go…..

1 MY INCREDIBLE BELLJARS. One of the very things that inspired me to open an online shop. I put a number of these exquisite belljars in my own home and due to so many inquiries for them, I decided to start selling them. They continue to be a consistent best seller and with good reason- they are just gorgeous and I discount significantly, as much as 40% less than other companies.

They are all hand etched and hand cut mouth blown glass. My current site frankly does not do them justice. The pictures are not great and I look forward to giving them the attention they deserve when the new site launches. Below are some of the pictures as well as sizes and styles. Love them! Click here to see my belljars on current site.

2. INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST. I so enjoy getting to share with you all of the beautiful and inspiring Instagram finds that I collect every week. Wouldn’t these make an incredibly coffee table book! I would be the first to buy it:) Here is this weeks faves….

3. A GREAT LINK TO ALL THINGS ENCHANTED HOME. It’s funny I like to pin as many images from my site as I can but obviously missed out on a lot. I am so flattered by those who have created boards exclusively from  my site.

Stumbled somehow across this one from DDF and it’s fantastic! I had the same feeling you get when you start going through old family pictures and reminiscing about the “good ol days”…found so many that I cannot believe I missed. Here are a few below. If you want to a bunch of pictures that might have missed from my site and are on you are on  Pinterest click here to follow the link.

4. ONE DELICIOUS SANGRIA! So I hosted a small lunch here last week and among the many things I made, I tried this excellent recipe for Rose Sangria. Everyone raved and I am so glad I had a little extra:) I think one of the keys is to let it marinate for at least 10-12 hours, overnight is even better. So easy and so delicious!

Rose Wine (light, prefer French)

1 large bottle Pellegrino

1 bottle of Diet or low sugar Cranberry Juice

Simply put all the fruit into a large container or two pitchers, add bottle of Rose mix in about 2 cups fo Cranberry Juice, 2 TBSP sugar and stir, (I also used a masher to “mash” the pulp of the berries into the liquid). The Rose will dark a darker pink as the berries start to marinate into the wine. When you are ready to serve add 1/2 to full bottle of Pellegrino…voila! Add a mint leaf for garnish if you desire…and enjoy!

5. DIDN’T GET TO SEE HAMILTON? Well here is a chance to somewhat see it in a sense.  When I finally budged and got tickets, wouldn’t you know I got sick! I ended up giving them to a very grateful relative and her husband, she loved it and could not stop raving. He “liked” it but there is too much buzz about it to not want to see it.

This much anticipated documentary on the making of Hamilton is going to be  a good one! There is a wonderful PBS special on Oct. 21st which I,  along will many others will tune into. Promises to be amazing…here is a sneak peek!

6. BEAUTIFUL BOOTS ALERT. OK I am finally succumbing to fall and of course inevitably winter. I can always justify spending more on my cold weather wardrobe because here in NY it is a loooong season. I went on a boots buying spree last week and love what I got. Here is what I came home with-

Love these and think I will be living in them, always a fan of anything quilted and the quilted stretch is a practical and pretty detail, best part they are waterproof! Only personal recommendation is to go a half size up. I wear a 9 and had to exchange for a 9.5 which fit perfectly.  Click here

I have worn these for years, my pair from a few years ago have seen better days so I got them while they are in stock, they always come Dec are sold out. Click here

Huge fan of Stuart Weitzman everything and my closet will prove it:) I have had boots from him for many years so I can attest to how beautifully they hold up. I got these about 4 years ago but it is time to get a new pair. These looks amazing with everything from jeans, to skits with tights to sweater dresses, very chic. Click here

7. SUNDAY’S SURVEY. This has been a really rough news week. Seems like you cannot turn on the TV without bearing witness to a crime being committed often live, all due to the plethora of cell phone and camera use.

Sometimes I think it has just gone too far. Filming and even worse airing on national TV for all to see, the killing of anyone to me is completely inappropriate and downright disrespectful to that persons family. To the point, where I just cannot look, I need to close my eyes when it comes on.  In other words, yes I think the media has gone too far. Wondering what you think?

So friends, there you have what’s on my mind this week. Going to be a beautiful fall day today and I am finally going to “falletize” my home! I got huge pumpkins and a few mums and will start adding a bit of fall to my front door, I feel VERY behind.

Being in the blogworld and on Instagram, I am most definitely the later bloomer of the bunch. I guess I was trying to hold onto the last few summer days until the very last few minutes:) Thank you for stopping in and making me a part of your Sunday. Until next time……

Seven on Sunday

Happy Sunday, first order of business is to announce the two lucky winners of the two silver giveaways! Congratulations goes to-

Please contact me at to claim your prize so they can be on their merry way.

It’s been one gorgeous weekend here though we are due to get some rain this afternoon…perfect excuse for a movie day. It has been a relaxing enjoyable weekend  with a dinner party in the city, a little work and and today we were planning to  head into the city to go to the 9/11 Museum however with the bombing last night, we are going to wait until next weekend.

We heard the whole downtown is understandably  chaotic with an active investigation…so scary and a reminder to stay safe but live your life to the fullest, every single day is a gift. OK, back to light, happy and pretty subjects….

1 PHENOMENAL PHYLLO! . I am always looking for great, easy, creative appetizers. I mean, who doesn’t love Phyllo dough? I wish it wasn’t so good, then I could use some self control:)

I always have a few boxes in my freezer because you just never know. And with a party coming up for Christmas I am already starting to think about a battalion of tasty but beautiful appetizers and any of these would be wonderful! These are particularly appealing-

I love this idea-“serving spoons” made of Phyllo dough with a bite size chunk of mozzarella and tomato…brilliant! I must try this

And how scrumptious do these look? I must try these, mushrooms, Gruyere, carmelized onion in puff pastry…yum! Click on over to for recipe

And being a lover of artichoke anything these got my attention, click here for recipe

Chicken wonton cups, sign me up! I could probably make a meal off of here for recipe

2. MY VERY FIRST FALL PURCHASES! I LOVE fall and you will soon start seeing some posts about my favorite season. I just bought my first official two fall wardrobe pieces (though these will be worn into winter and spring).

I can always justify splurging  for this season as they are so long, I more than get my monies worth plus I keep things forever. I have coats and sweaters I have owned for 10, 15 years (and still love them)! So here are my first two purchases-

I loved this the minute I saw it. Adore lace and live in turtlenecks so this was a match made in fall dressing heaven. I can see this getting a ton of use, dressed up or down. Click here

And this is the kind of thing I live in Nov-March, a sweater coat. Best part? It’s reversible and cashmere…brilliant!! I love that it’s lighter than a coat but with proper layering and a warm scarf, even for super cold days it always does the trick. This is a great fall/winter wardrobe piece, click here to see

3. ENCHANTED HOME HAPPENINGS. Lots going on over here, gearing up for a busy holiday season. And I  must say I am totally smitten withe everything coming in, more porcelain, silver, tole and of course the planters and ornaments.

These first few pictures just made me so darn happy showing my ornaments  in their Enchanted home boxes getting loaded onto the truck to be sent to the shipping yard (is it me or does that truck remind you of a giant La Cornue range) lol… that it’s blue!

uzxnnamed unnacxxxmed

My bamboo lanterns were very popular and now I am making them in a 24″ size and adding navy blue with gold as another color option which I think will be beautiful. Here they are in their raw metal state, pretty even like this!

How incredible is this new planter? It is “up there” but nothing compared to the original (thousands). I am going to be getting in a limited number of these, they measure  and will be discounted of course. Would love your input on these and will be featuring a Enchanted Home shop update post where I will be asking for your input of a number of things!

PORCELAIN CONTAINER!!  For any one waiting, it  is coming on Sept. 23rd. That is our latest ETA…very excited for this and we are eagerly awaiting the arrival and will get orders out as fast as we can in the order they were received. The  next container after that will be here first week of Nov. and you can look for a presale coming in within two weeks (this will be the last container of 2016). Here are few things we are eagerly awaiting-

5. PERSONALIZED PHOTO PAPER. You know how every now and then you have a very special gift to give? Could anything make it even that much better if you wrapped your gift in personalized photo paper.

I love this idea!! You upload your pictures and a tube of photo custom gift wrap is created and sent to your front door. There are so many possibilities in how to use this…my mind is racing:) Click here to find out more.

6. AN AMAZING VIDEO. How in the world did I not ever see this? I have watched it at least 8 times since and it gives me goosebumps all over each and every time. Bad enough this song always makes me cry and gives me chills…but seeing these two pint sized powerhouses was really something and to know this is not even their native language, just extraordinary.

So beautiful…….one of my all time favorite songs with lyrics that I think resonate with all of us. (the best is at the end so please watch it all the way through)-

7. SUNDAY’S SURVEY. There is no denying it, the holidays are not that far away…..just one trip to your local market and you are met with bright orange pumpkins and still closed mums! You know Christmas wreaths and ornaments are not far behind…scary but true! For me, this “pre holiday” time always brings a mixture of excitement, anxiety and sleepless nights planning and plotting. Wondering about you…how does the holiday hoopla make you feel?

Well friends there you have what’s up in my little corner of the world this week. As always thank you for stopping in, wishing you a wonderful day and relaxing end to your weekend! Until next time……

Supposed to go to a party today in the city (rooftop party and just found out this little detail  so now yours truly is considering trudging up almost 20 flights)! On the other hand I may not,  given my slightly torn ACL and in that case,  would spend time outside and tend to my little garden which is showing the first batch of tomatoes and teeny tiny cucumbers, very exciting!

This post has a real summer vibe to it, if not in late July then when? This is also a chock full post as you will not hear from me again until Wed.  There is so much to love and savor about summer….and with the way time is flying, we better enjoy every single minute while we can.  As I do every Sunday I share with you seven things that are on my mind:) Ready? Here we go……

1 MONTAUK HIGHLIGHTS. Having such fun even though I am doing a lot of back and forth to the Montauk beach house. I miss those carefree days where I could go and really unpack and stay for weeks, now I go for a few days come back catch up on work and head back out.  I will say it sure makes me appreciate the simple pleasure of being at the beach at sunset, with a great book in hand, the waves crashing and a huge iced coffee to keeping me hydrated.

I love having friends come out, trying new restaurants and hitting farm stands. I am in a totally different frame of mind when I am there, it’s so relaxing. Of course (enter Jaws music) that is until the weekend arrives, then all bets are off as the “hipster brigade” marches into town, fedoras, cut off jeans, and quench for a $38 lobster roll LOL. That’s when I hightail it out of there back to my little slice of civility, aka home:) Here are some highlights from this past week or so-

2. INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST. Never at a loss of amazing images to share with you and love my weekly discoveries of new accounts. This week, its all about summer, flowers, great food and happy living.

3. A NEW SALAD WORTH SHOUTING FROM THE ROOFTOPS ABOUT.  St. Ambroeus in Southampton is a favorite lunch spot when I am out that way, one of my favorite salads is very simple and oh so good. I came home vowing to replicate it and that I did, in a way-

IMG_7883 IMG_7882(1)

Unfortunately I missed the memo about artichokes now being an endangered species ( kidding but went to FIVE markets and none were to be found)! So I instead replaced them with Brussel sprouts and it actually came out great and added grilled chicken for protein  to make it a “meal”. Suffice to say this was good…..very good. And best part? Super healthy!

So easy- all you need is a big bowl of mixed greens of your choosing, chickpeas, artichokes thinly sliced and sauteed (Brussels sprouts for a back up plan), 3-4 thinly sliced marinate chicken breasts that are grilled and razor thin pieces of Parmesan. For dressing I used 1/2 light virgin olive oil, juice of 2 lemons and a dash of white wine vinegar and a pinch sea salt, shake it up and serve. Add pepper if desired.

Anything that starts with a gorgeous x large platter/shallow bowl like this beauty, you just know it’s gotta be good:)

IMG_7904 IMG_7906

Got the grilled chicken off the grill and sliced it thin

Sauteed brussel sprouts ready to go

In a skillet I browned and sauteed the halved brussel sprouts, added them to a huge serving of mixed green, threw a can of chickpeas in there, added some radish=

I had this Hamptons book/cookbook nearby to channel my beachy vibes while home:) and yes the Rose was nearby too!

And voila a guilty free dinner is served and let’s face the blue and white adds an extra dose of deliciousness:)

IMG_7912 IMG_7913

Had an impromptu dinner guest and it was a perfect amount for the three of us:)

4. HAVE A YEARNING TO HIT THE SOUTHERN COAST OF ITALY? OK how about settling for a virtual one instead:) Two places I have not been that I am dying to go to are Capri and Postiano, was hoping for this summer but alas it did not happen. These well done videos about a day spent in each place are probably the next best thing to going since it looks like this summer it isn’t happening. Think you might enjoy these….

Welcome to Positano-

Come visit Capri-

5. BEACH READS ! I have been on a little mini reading kick lately and a few I read I really enjoyed, even one was a great surprise. Plus a great blog/site for anyone who wants to get a taste of the Hamptons lifestyle-

Shucked is so entertaining and well written it just draws you right in, even if you don’t like oysters:) I can almost guarantee you will enjoy this book immensely!

And Sweet Salt Air, really enjoyed this. It was a perfect beach read with a slightly predictable twist but nonetheless one I would recommend:)

If you love to read on your iPad and want a Hamptons Fix but don’t live anywhere near this red hot beach destination, then get your Hamptons fix over at KD Hamptons, where all things Hamptons are dished about from the best restaurants to the lively social scene to all that’s trending… here

6. A FAVORITE SUMMER SHOE ON SALE. I love espadrilles, to me they add a casual summer stylish vibe to anything they are paired with. I have a few favorite pair and this first one is one I have worn more than any other, why? Because they are navy and sooo comfortable. Was excited to see them on sale, getting a back up pair for next year:) Click here

And this second pair because white is hard to find and these are really cute and again super comfy. These have quickly become one of my summer faves and love that it has a little platform, so cute! Now I am also tempted to get them in navy.  Click here

7. A NEW ROSE IN TOWN. Move over Whispering Angel and Domaine Ott, this wonderful Rose is giving you a run for your money:) We had stopped over at a wine store in the Hmaptons and was recommended to try this, its got more body than Whispering Angel but  like all Roses from France, this is light and has summer written all over it.

Two of my four ‘fellow wine tasters” (yes that’s what we call ourselves) said they actually liked this better than Whispering Angel. Me? I love both, never met a Rose I didn’t love:) Just call me Switzerland. Plus I do love the bottle and being an unstoppable seeker of beauty….this bears some merit too:) Click here to visit Maison Belle Claire. Cheers!

And that my dear friends is what is on my mind this week…it’s all about summer, easy carefree days (well only maybe a few days a week but I will take what I can get), and enjoying life to it’s fullest because as recent events have sadly reminded us, you just never know when life can change and it can be fleeting.

Wishing you a wonderful and relaxing summer day, and hope your weekend was fantastic! Thanks for stopping in, until next time……

Seven on Sunday

Happy Easter and happy Sunday to you!  Beautiful day here,  spring has officially arrived even though its a bit cool, I am not complaining.  I am just about ready to start planning and plodding for my planters and garden:)

This Easter is a little different,  I am not hosting family, as this year we are all over the place,  so  we are meeting our 2 older sons in the city for an afternoon together and an early dinner at a favorite restaurant. It will above all be quite relaxing for me to take a break from hosting duties though I look forward to doing it next year:)

Hope whatever you are up to is wonderful and enjoyable, today is a family day….and those are always my favorite! Here we go with my Seven on Sunday……

1 THIS IS HOW YOU DO “ONE”!  Be prepared for cuteness overload! This adorable littler cherub who I discovered on good ol Instagram stole my heart. Reminds me so much of my “baby” who now towers over me, but he was a blonde, pudgy, cherubic happy baby just like this little princess who just celebrated her first birthday. How cute….too cute to not share:) You too can follow this darling account at Tiffanyraina by clicking here

4. A RECIPE WORTH SHARING. I like to periodically share recipes that are proven and worthy of talking about. This one is quite easy and oh so delicious. You can serve it with a side of vegetables or zucchini spaghetti and keep it light or of course go a bit more decadent and offer up a side of pasta or potato. Either way this is really really good! Click here to visit Menu Musings for the recipe and a very detailed “how to”

5. LUNCH TABLE FOR TWO. Had one of my closest friends come over last week and got to enjoy my flower’s last day in bloom:) It was nice to take a break from a hectic week for what I call a “Downton Abby” moment:)  Set up this pretty little table for two. In the spring, I  love the combination of fresh springy green with blue and white…it’s so crisp and clean plus we know flowers make everything prettier:)

6. CUTE SHOE ALERT. I bought a pair which  I shared with you a few week so of Dune London sandals which I love and are actually really comfortable, best part they are so affordable. Got the first pair in and they fit like a glove and actually are really light and comfortable, looks great too!

These wedges are adorable, its hard to find a good looking pair of white shoes and love the blush too, adore  the cutout detailing… so affordable click here

OK this is not a shoe but how chic is this navy and white striped gown/dress…so perfect for a summer wedding or soiree. We were invited to a wedding at a yacht club about 5 years ago and this would have been so perfect……click here
