An amazing presale on the newest chinoiserie tole and a giveaway!

Hello friends and happy Monday to you. Hope you had a great weekend. The weekend weather here was a “10”….. FINALLY. Busy days over here, and really enjoying the tiny taste of spring we are getting. All of my poor empty planters and pots are begging to be spruced up and I cannot wait until that time presents itself. Never thought I could tire of winter, but alas it’s happened. Guess that comes along with turning 50…cold weather is for the birds.

Getting to design my own line of tole has been a dream that I have been lucky enough to get to do several times and counting.. I cannot tell you how much I enjoy the process and getting to share these beautiful pieces with you and , putting them in my own home is the icing on the cake! This part of what I do is enormously gratifying beyond words.

With each shipment, I get more and more excited about what is coming in. I might say it every time, but they really do get better. And this shipment is brimming with so many gorgeous exquisite things…my heart skipped a beat when I got the pictures. They are already on their way and should be here around April 28-May 2nd. As I do every container, I offer them up in a presale.

One of the biggest benefits to you as the customer is that now that I directly import many of my items, the prices are unheard of. I  have people often asking me how I can sell them at what I do….these items are many hundreds more than what they are here, so the values are astounding as they are with my porcelains and silver.

Bringing back some sold out pieces (all the bathroom accessories and Provence planters) and introducing a few new gorgeous lamps, trays and much requested….obelisks.

Perfect timing especially for the very popular Provence planters, just in time for spring planting! Here is a look at the beautiful items being HAND PAINTED……

As I often do I have a presale/advance purchase where you get the opportunity to make an advance purchase on these items at special pricing (generally about 15-20% less than what they will be when they arrive).  Great buying opportunity and a sure way to guarantee that what you want is not sold out.

Seven on Sunday

Hello and Happy Superbowl Sunday! I have to give us Americans credit, we are so good at coming up with things to celebrate. Golden Globes, Grammys, Superbowl, Academy Awards, always a fun excuse to party!

Hope everyone is enjoying a nice weekend. It’s been quite mild weather wise lately…almost feeling like winter is about done but I somehow think there is more to come. I wouldn’t mind one great big snowfall and then breeze right into spring!

Here things are calm (calm is good) and relaxing….dinner with friends, a beautiful farewell luncheon for an old friend and some downtime (much needed)! Plus it’s Superbowl Sunday, not that I am your biggest football fan but even I get into this iconic American celebration! May the best team win……moving along to my Seven on Sunday.

1 ONE STUNNING TABLE! I found this table setting and it was love at first sight. I love the colors and of course the blue and white accents, it is elegant and even a bit whimsical. Plus I had considered the fabric used on the chairs for a bench I was reupholstering and now kind of hoping I can find another place for it.

This is such a beautiful set up, kind of has me in the mood for a party…… here to see the entire setup over at Atlanta Homes

2 INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST Love the round up this week, the best of the best!! I never cease to be amazed by the sheer beauty that I find on a weekly basis. Think of this as the Oscars of Instagram but on a weekly basis!

And my favorite this week is this one below because well….how perfectly amazing is this!

5. SUPERBOWL IDEAS! Well today is the big day…..I will admit I am not a huge football fan (unless one of my sons is playing) but even I get into the whole Superbowl excitement, how can you not, it would almost feel anti American! We were supposed to be away this weekend but plans changed so having a few people over last minute.

We typically have a small group over,  I like to do small bites and normally that is what I do in place of an actual dinner (a non stop revolving door of small bites)  but today I am whipping out the big guns…making a big pot of my most favorite meal of all, Beef Bourguignon Recipe is below along with a few great appetizer ideas in case you need a last minute idea or two-

This is GOOD as in insanely delicious. A tried and true recipe that is a winner. It’s a lot of prep but sooooo worth it!

  • About 3-4 tablespoons light virgin olive oil
  • 8 ounces bacon, chopped (1/2 a package)
  • 2 teaspoons garlic cloves, large chopped pieces (not too fine)
  • 1/2 cup Cognac
  • 1 bottle of good full bodied red wine (ideally like Beaujolais, Cabernet or Burgundy)
  • ?2 cups beef broth (I used Emerils box of beef stock which is a 32 oz box)
  • 1-2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2-2 1/2 pounds beef cut into 1-inch cubes (I use top round london broil)
  • Sea salt to taste
  • Fresh pepper
  • 1 pound carrots, cut to 1 inch (don’t use baby carrots, they are too soft)
  • 2 med.onions- thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh, thyme leaves (1/2 teaspoon dried) I used a bit more than the recipe called for and always use fresh
  • 4 tablespoons butter at room temperature, melted
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 pound fresh mushrooms (cut off stems and discard) can use more if you are like me and love mushrooms
  • about 3-4 Yukon gold potatoes diced into 1 inch pieces (some also add turnips)

If you have a nice heavy dutch oven, that is preferable otherwise a good stock pot is fine. I used my Le Cruset “weighs a ton” pot but it was perfect for this dish plus its French! Heat the olive oil and add the bacon, cook on medium until fairly crispy. Remove and drain bacon. Add cubed beef (after they have been rinsed, patted dry and sprinkled with sea salt and pepper) one layer at a time and sear the meat, this will take about 4-5 minutes, make sure its seared on all sides. Set aside with the bacon.

Next, you will add carrots, onions, and either potatoes or turnips if you are using them along with salt and pepper to the fat in the pot and cook for about 15 minutes or until soft and onions are lightly browned. Then add garlic and cook for another minute or two. Next add Cognac…you then should take a match and light it right in the pot…STAND BACK while you do this and stare in awe at your budding creation! (This process burns off the alcohol)

Next add the meat and bacon into the pot with the juices already in. Add the bottle of wine and beef broth, this mixture should pretty much cover the meat. Next add tomato paste and thyme. Simmer and then cover…at this point you can either cook it on the stove or transfer to a preheated oven (300 degrees) I cooked mine on the stove.

After about an hour and a half, the meat will be fork tender. On the side, take 2 tbsp of butter and melt then mix with flour and add to stew. In a small saute  pan, melt additional 2 tbsp of butter and saute mushrooms for about 5-10 minutes or until soft. Add to stew, bring to a brief boil and then simmer and cook for an additional 30 minutes. Season to taste. At the end, I add a few additional stalks of fresh thyme…get that  crusty baguette (which I throw on the grill or broiler with olive oil for a minute or two) and wine ready and you are in for a divine treat!

If you want a few good appetizer ideas and want to skip the idea of a fussy meal then these are really good too…..can’t stop at just one! Made these mini taco bites last year and they were a huge hit! Click here for recipe ( I did not used the beans just the hamburger meat and toppings)

Looking forward to trying these crab bites, yummy! Click here for the recipe

And how good do these spinach artichoke bites look plus with the name spinach it automatically means you can eat them to your hearts contest, after all its a “health food:” lol, click here for recipe

6. DESIGNER STAMPS! Oscar de la Renta was one of the most talented and iconic designers ever to walk the fashion globe. I think of beautiful, romantic frocks when I hear  his name and am lucky to own a special dress from him which I will always treasure even if I cannot fit into it anymore:)

So……I was so excited to see his legacy is being honored with these incredible stamps coming out mid Feb. I will never have been so happy to go to the post office!!

7. SUNDAY’S SURVEY. This is all about the Superbowl. I will admit I am not a serious football fan, (though I was with the best of them when  my son played in high school) but come Superbowl day I perk up and get into it, however must say the halftime show, palatable excitement  and excuse to enjoy all kinds of great goodies makes the day extra sweet:) So….what best sums up your feelings on this iconic American day?

So friends, that’s whats cooking over there on this beautiful Sunday. Hope whatever you are up to is fun and mostly relaxing..we all need a day to unwind and do just as we please. May the best team win, I know, I know (easy to say when you are neutral)! Until next time…..

PS As of Monday afternoon, there is a new flash sale! The Statuary and Planters flash sale is on for two days only, so many exquisite pieces perfect for spring planting! Click here

Seven on Sunday

Hello and happy Sunday! Rainy, dark and stormy over here today…perfect movie day. And as I am so out of the movie loop and haven’t seen anything that is new, looks like I have lots to choose from with The Big Short and Joy at the top of my list……but I must be home in time to see all the fun Golden Globes pre show fashions! Love awards season:) You can see my past recap on the last Golden Globes by clicking here…will be sure to post on this years as well!

Been a busy week with the long awaited arrival of my gorgeous chinoiserie tole…it was so exciting to get what to me, are the prettiest pieces from my chinoiseris tole yet. An exciting 2 day sale has started which will end tonight and trust me it is something you will not want to miss.

Hope whatever you are up to this weekend is fun and relaxing. I was thinking this is the first winter that I can remember that we have not had a single snowflake…kind of makes me sad, so old man winter please come back (just for a little while)!

I desperately want one good snow storm then we can happily stroll into spring:) Anyway here is my Seven on Sunday…..

1 RHAPSODY IN BLUE AND WHITE. This gorgeous Palm Beach Villa is a stunner, and of course you know I love it….with all the blue and white!? Such a peaceful and elegant home. Click here to see and read more….

3. PRETTIEST WINE I EVER DID SEE! Isn’t this the most gorgeous bottle? It happens to be a mighty tasty rose as well and I love the name, Summer in a bottle. I am in love with it and what a beautiful hostess gift to give! Click here to visit Wolffer Estates.

I normally drink rose in the summer but now that I make the most delicious rose sangria,? it is now a year round option in this house. Very simple, here is my recipe below (to server approx. 6-8) or 1 if I have had a very tough day lol:)

Rose Sangria-

2 bottles of rose, fresh berries ( I like blackberries and raspberries), a bag of frozen peaches, 2 oranges cut in cubes (skin off), about 12 strawberries cut up, a sprig of mint, fresh OJ (can use ready made if you don’t have fresh but fresh is much better), 3 TBSP sugar, and a bottle of peach sparkling water.

Add the fruit with rose and using a potato master or pestle, gently mash the fruit into the liquid. I normally pour it in a big bowl or into two pitchers.

Put in fridge for ideally at least 8 hours (overnight works well too) or you can put in freezer for an hour or so

When you are ready to serve, add 2 cups orange juice and a bottle of peach sparkling water. Pour into glass making sure some of the fruit is included add a sprig of mint….voila!

4 MY CHINOISERIE TOLE HAS ARRIVED!! This is super exciting for me, some truly exquisite pieces….by far my favorite container of the tole yet. All of these beauties are currently up for grabs on a presale that ends tonight. Click here for all details.

5. DECISIONS DECISIONS! Need your help……trying to figure out which lamps I like better for a living room chest (pay no attention to the lampshades, just threw some I had on hand to get an idea)…thoughts? Think I am leaning towards one but keep going back and forth!

And how about here, do you like the idea of an orchid or the peonies (a low arrangement)?

6. ONE DELICIOUS SALAD. This was sooooo good, a new staple for me. Not so different from the one I have made for years but this one with a few extra ingredients is incredibly tasty and quite pretty too. Actually makes me look forward to eating a salad…..a first. Click here for the recipe, you will be happy you did!

7. BOOKS. One of my many “resolutions” this year is to start reading again. I used to be an avid reader then somehow life took over where I don’t feel there are nearly enough hours in the day, sound familiar?

However I miss the feeling that only a good book can deliver about being transported to another place….nothing quite like it.? So here are a few that I recently ordered that I am excited to begin, and hopefully reignite my love for reading……

So there you have it…anything excite or entice you? Hope whatever you are up to is wonderful and mostly, relaxing. I look forward like you cannot imagine to my lazy Sundays:) Thank you for stopping by, until next time…….

Seven on Sunday

Hello, Happy Fathers Day and happy Sunday to you. This post was done over 2 weeks ago but went into my draft box when my mother in law became gravely ill. So I am posting it today.

Hi there! Hope all is well on your end. A very happy Fathers Day to all the dads out there:) To my own dad, love you so much and am so happy we got to spend sometime together last week even under sad circumstances. You continue to inspire and amaze me and if I can do half of what you are doing at your young sprightly 70 something, I will be one lucky girl!

Here, just starting to get back in the saddle. It feels good to be back on my blog and immersing myself into work, much more cathartic than I expected.? Your kind wishes, comments and emails made me tear up….I was SO touched by your friendship and support. My son is doing better everyday and once he gets the oral surgery done next week, we will all be relieved, and happy to put this whole ordeal behind us.

Today we really looking forward to a quiet day today for Fathers Day. They are calling for rain so original plans for a BBQ have been scraped for a reservation at our favorite local Mexican restaurant (one of the few we can all agree on)!? I need and very much look forward to that one day a week where I am obligated to do nothing, and in fact often daydream about Sunday all week long:)

1. A GORGEOUS LINE OF STATIONERY. I love discovering talented people and the work of this amazing little company bears sharing (again)! I actually featured them a few years ago, just love their work. Take a look at some of Lobird’s products, they are all so beautiful.? From their elegant invites to the charming calling cards…it’s a wonderful line that might just inspire you to throw a party:) Click here for more info.

3. TOTE MANIA. I use totes a lot, I tend to carry a lot in my bag so a tote is both practical and functional as well as comfortable. The Annabel Ingall tote is a favorite but I have discovered some other really fabulous looking totes with some at even more fabulous prices that I just had to share……

I start with my favorite tote by Sondra Roberts,? in two colors,? I ordered both and will decide which I like better, LOVE the perforated leather and love the price even more:) Great price too! Click here for more info

5. A FRIENDS BEAUTIFUL BEACH HOUSE. On Friday I took a much needed “mental health day” and took a few hours to myself, drove out to some of my favorite farms out east and took in the country air. As luck would have it bumped into a friend who invited me over to her uber charming beach house with killer ocean views. It was so pretty I had to take a few pics with my iPhone. Knowing how you love great decor, thought you might enjoy this…..

LOVE how she did the lower level, how great is this to accommodate “overflow guests” (namely teens and their friends)

So there you have it my friends. Hope you are enjoying your weekend with all the dads in your life. We look forward to a calm and quiet day, and will visit my mother in laws grave today. Thank you for your support, friendship and kind words these last few weeks. I can’t overstate it enough how much that means, truly heartwarming! Feels good to be back, I must admit:)

Midweek random musings…..

Hi there friends!? Finally I am starting to be on the mend, I am not quite 100% but feel like I am almost there, guess all that rest paid off!? As I periodically do I come up with these random posts. A little of this and a bit of that, a great way to share on a host of different subjects. Having been sick this last week threw me for a loop but allowed for a lot of down time (yes there is too much of a good thing:) movie watching, book reading, and of course plenty of sleep!

I am going on a girls trip tomorrow and will be back on Saturday and yes will be sure to take some pictures to share as you know I always do. So this post will be it until then, it is a long post so consider it plenty to read and take in over the next four days:) Kind of like a few posts crammed into one!? I included at the bottom a few links to some posts that rank as my all time personal favorites from last year and thought I would include them just in case you haven’t seen them. Enjoy…..

This is very picture heavy, so sit back relax, pour yourself a cocktail or an extra cup of coffee, depending on what time you are reading this:)

MY NEWEST TOLE PIECES COMING OUT OF PRODUCTION! Sooo excited over my newest pieces, getting in a bunch of planters, umbrella stands and a few more caddies. Take a look at all the beauty as they are being handpainted, I so love my line, every piece is like a little jewel:) They should be here within about 30-45 days and of course I will keep you posted.

THE MOST GORGEOUS BRIDAL SHOWER…. A few highlights from the bridal shower my dear friend threw for her daughter, literally it was more like a mini wedding:) The flowers were just “beyond” and I loved that many of the blue and white pieces used as centerpieces were from my shop! THIS AMAZING CREATION FOR THE METS NEWEST EXHIBITION. How about this incredible porcelain creation, if i didn’t know better I would swear this was created just for me! Created for the current exhibition at The Met, China: Through the Looking Glass.

OLD MOVIES. With my being sick, it meant plenty of time lying around like a wet noodle not doing much but did get to watch some movies that I have seen probably at least a dozen times, but somehow they never get old! Amazing isn’t it how that is, here are some of the oldies but goodies I had great pleasure in watching…..

ON THE SUBJECT OF BOOKS.? It was nice I must admit to have some much needed downtime to finish a book and start a new one, which I am very excited to tell you about!

?I am about half way through My Sweet Carolina and loving it!? It is such a wonderful, heartwarming story that really draws you in and the best part is it’s by a friend/fellow blogger, darling Kristy Harvey.

I am so proud of her and the buzz is deservedly mighty loud on her debut novel. The characters are rich and engaging and I found myself immediately connecting to them, I am bringing it with me on my trip to finish and cannot wait…..absolutely recommend it!? Click here to order it.

To sweeten the deal of getting a fabulous new novel, here is a limited time offer Kristy is offering…way too good to pass up!

Purchase Dear Carolina?between May 5 and May 10 (pre-orders count too!) and send?proof of purchase of to (Pictures are fine ? and if you buy at a signing just email me!) to be entered to win a $1,000 Shop Design Chic Shopping Spree! And you?ll also get the Dear Carolina Companion Cookbook and fun printable quotes just for entering!

BEAUTIFUL HYDRANGEAS. Got in the prettiest quality hydrangeas, so excited about these as they look and even feel real! I will be doing a promo on them next week so stay tuned. I immediately put my own personal order to good use. I have found with really good quality hydrangeas,? when you have a plant that is on its way out, you can “fill in” with a few stems and you will be amazed how it brings the plant back to life!

You know I love my white but must say these green/purple ones stole my heart…

MY GORGEOUS MONOGRAM NAPKINS! Only downside to carrying monogrammed napkins is literally every time I get an order in I love them so much I am tempted to order a duplicate set for myself…….bad idea:) I have way more monogrammed napkins than I know what to do with!

When we moved 3 years ago (crazy its been that long) I had a box filled with them and there had been water damage and they mildewed, I was sooooo upset but made up for it:) So here’s a look at some gorgeous recent orders…..

To anyone who is considering these, June 10th will be the last day to place orders until sometime in August, the workroom is closing for 2 months (mid June through early Aug)

A BEAUTIFUL LITTLE NOTEBOOK. How incredibly pretty is this? Artist extraordinaire Patricia of PVE,? is selling these darling little notebooks for the purse, they are the perfect size and perfect price! I am constantly writing/making notes and am always writing them on backs of receipts or checkbooks, no method to that madness!

Now I can whip out this beautiful little book and write in style…click here to get one of your own!

A MUST TRY RECIPE. A friend of mine was hosting a ladies breakfast meeting for her golf club and was very nervous (she admits shes not much of a homemaker) so she was asking me to help her with the menu.? Amongst other “user friendly” ideas, I told her about having seen these mini quiche toast cups and though I hadn’t tried the recipe yet,? suspected they were really good not to mention quite cute!

So she decided to give it a go and said they were the biggest hit, everyone loved that they were bitesize (think portion control) and easy to eat. She had multiple requests for recipes, I will most certainly be trying myself soon! Click here for recepe/how to

THINGS THAT MAKE YOU GO HUM. The Met Gala, one of the biggest fashion events of the year if not the biggest. All eyes are on the attendees and all I can say is there is a boatload of people who need to fire their stylists pronto as in this morning! I imagined me walking out in one of these getups and my families expression, it would range from delirious laughter (my boys) to sheer horror (my husband) ending with a unanimous decision to have me see a shrink immediately:)

I mean, yes of course I get that fashion is highly subjective, a personal choice and a way of expressing myself. I will even go so far as to say it is an extension or art and accept it but these to me,? are nothing short of a disaster, just my honest opinion. Would love to know what your thoughts and I start with a few winners that redeemed the name of the Met Gala!

Let’s start with my winning pick of the night, Emily Blunt nailed it….just magnificent!

A few close runner ups…

Seven on Sunday

Hello! Hope you are having a great weekend. Ours has been great minus one hiccup. We had dinner with a group of friends on Friday but I was supposed to go out of town as of yesterday for a short girls trip and thanks to yep, you guessed it……more snow and bad weather it did not happen. Here is what things look like around here-

Even Teddy is saying he has had quite enough (check out the snazzy zebra bandanna the groomer gave him last week, she thinks he needs to live a bit more on the wild side)

I am disappointed but we are going to try again in a few weeks. Moving on, we all know what today is…….Oscar night!

And of course I will be watching it from the very first minute that Hollywood’s who’s who steps foot onto the magical red carpet all the way until they announce best picture. And as some have asked you can bet I will be doing my Oscar recap, I wouldn’t miss it!? Here are my seven on Sunday….

1.? OSCARS! I have to kick this off with all things Oscars, enjoyed? these behind the scenes glimpses into feeding 1600 on Oscar night as well as a peek into the famed Green room (all interior enthusiasts will enjoy this)! Plus the seven biggest snubs of the 2015 Academy awards…..

2. MY NEWEST BLOSSOMS . I absolutely love this new curly willow blossom. It is a cherry blossom that is very curvy/willoy so it can go in all different directions which makes it so dramatic.? Added 6 to each jar and the impact was amazing. Love their shape and they are the perfect length 30″. I had only gotten four cases and they immediately sold but will be adding them? to my online shop, as more will be arriving in the next few weeks. A new fave!

4. A NEW MONOGRAM OBSESSION. You? know me and my monograms, well I discovered this artist, Kearsley Lloyd and am madly in love with her work! She has such a? beautiful style that really resonates with my own. I had to share…….what a beautiful gift this would make to a bride and groom, a special friend, etc….click here to visit Kearsley Lloyd.

5. A YUMMY POT OF SOUP. I love my soup, especially given that we live in Antarctica and every day feels like a soup day, in fact every meal. Forget cereal and oatmeal I crave serious comfort food from the wee hours of the morning until late at night! So our entire family loves pasta fagiole soup and I was so happy to try this recipe. I only share when something is really good.

And this my friends is really good and so hearty.? It is also quite easy (we are lucky and have a great Italian specialty shop nearby so I buy their homemade sauce and used it in the soup) but besides that everything else can be found right at your local market. Ironically the site I found it on is called Tina’s Chic, go figure. Click here for recipe (the only things I added extra were a bit of fresh basil and of course served it with crusty bread)

6. MY DINING ROOM. These are my favorite kinds of “problems” to have, got in the final samples for my Paul Montgomery chinoiserie panels and I am smitten with both but learning towards the beige with soft blues,? as I see a soft neutral tonal room with creamy silk drapes and a scrumptious pale blue trim. Quiet and serene. But the blue is also very beautiful, love them and can hardly wait for this dining room to be transformed.

So that’s what new in my world. What’s going on in yours?? With this free day that I didn’t? expect to have I am probably going to take full advantage and do a lot of nothing, doesn’t? happen often plus I want to get ready for the big night! Maybe whip up a batch of the pasta fagiole soup. We are covered in snow and ice, so it’s a great day to stay in.

Wishing you a wonderful day and great end to your weekend. Happy Oscar Sunday! Until next time……

Seven on Sunday

Hi there! How is your weekend going? And Valentines Day? Do anything special? We had a very cold Valentines Day (no surprise) with flurries but not the snow they said we could get (thankfully)? and met two of our closest friends for a fun and lively dinner. It is a tradition we have had for a long long time and I wouldn’t want it any other way.

First order of business is to announce the lucky winner of the darling Giddy Paperie desktop calendar, congratulations goes to….

#110 LC says:

? Oh I am such a fan of this company! I just noticed the Mini Art To Go, though. I guess it?s new or maybe I had just looked over it before. Love the size, and the idea! AI also love the poppy bowl (I?ve already forgotten the exact name). This would work great for me. I have a collection of little flower condiment bowls for spring and summer patio parties. I need to add the poppy bowl to it!

Please email me at theenchantedhome@gmail with your shipping info!

Today will be a day of doing projects around the house, honestly it is just too cold to go out. It is FRIGID here. In continuing on with my so far successful closet project, it’s a work in progress but I am making baby steps towards a more organized closet! So here are my Sunday seven……

1. THE VERY BEST IN DRY CLEANING. I thought this would make for an interesting little tidbit. I mean the word dry cleaning hardly conjures up lively conversation,? but does your dry cleaner have it’s own website and concierge? A fancy name? A top posh NYC address? Mine neither:) But I have a fancy friend who lives in NY and was somewhat a jokingly bragging to me about her cleaners. So after I did an eye roll, I have to admit she piqued my curiosity. Then I found out it’s hardly any run of the mill cleaners. This is where the fashion elite send their clothes and they wouldn’t dream of sending them anywhere else.

This is a very fancy cleaners. Very. With price tags I am sure to match and what dry cleaner actually posts pictures of their celebrity clientele? It is interesting, bizarre and kind of fascinating all at once! Say hello to Madame Paulette…..if you are kind of curious too, click here to find out more!

2. BASEMENT PROJECT. If you missed the intro post on our basement project, click here. We have been working on it for about 6 months now and finally things are starting to wrap up. We are now working on the bathrooms and I am delighted with my final contenders for the floor.

I have chosen two (one for each bathroom). These are from The Tile Bar. I cannot recommend them enough, beautiful things, very competitive prices and super fast turnaround. They rock! Click here to visit Tile Bar. Can’t wait to see them installed!

And how gorgeous is this sink for the “lower level” (like that better than basement) powder room?

3. WALLPAPER. The only downside to doing design projects is how I fall in love with things I am doing for other people and my mind gets away from me and suddenly I am doing a little “off the path” exploring.

So I was looking for wallpaper? ideas for a customer, and found by chance this paper that I am so in love with. This seriously had me rethinking of painting my cabinets in the laundry room to a white just so I could put up this paper! Crazy? Yes, I know, no worries it’s not happening:)? Looks like gorgeous delft tile….it’s so fresh, would make laundry a pleasure!

Then I fell in love with these, if only I had a ski house…

And a room for all my blue an white, if I did this is what would go on the walls…..

or this one

And if I had a crystal closet..

And Pierre Frey always gets me dreaming of using these classic favorites..

4. INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST . I never tire of all of the incredible beauty and inspiration on Instagram. Whether its taking me away on a mini virtual vacation to somewhere warm, or enticing me to cook up something good, there is always something wonderful on Pinterest. You will see a heavy emphasis on Valentine’s Day this week…

7. A EASY PEASY APPETIZER. I have bragged about and shared my delicious baked brie on my blog before. So the other day two friends were stopping by and I was too lazy to go to the market so started brainstorming about what I could serve. I always keep Phyllo dough in my freezer and I being in a creative mood, decided to try my hand at creating “mini baked brie bites”……and by golly, they came out amazing!

I was exited to have created a new and wonderful bite size appetizer, so much easier than serving the big round, which can get messy to serve. So here is what I did. If you have something coming up and need an absolutely delicious appetizer…..I highly suggest this!

You need about 1/2 of a brie wheel, cupcake tin, cooking spray, brown sugar, nuts (chopped) flour, brown sugar and egg whitesun5named

Roll out phyllo and cut into 3′, about 4″ x 4″, put into cupcake tin, add a chunk (about size of large ice cube) inside, sprinkle brown sugar and nuts on top, then add a small pat of butter

Add a small pat of butterun7namedunnafdsamed

Then “wrap them up” seal on top

unnaER3medBrush on egg whites to “seal” the dough”

unnafdsamedThey are now ready for the oven

Bake in a 325 degree oven for about 30 min ( I turned it way down and let it cook another 5 min to insure it’s extra oozy:)

uASDF3nnamed Voila! The mini brie bits are ready to be enjoyed, I serve with Carrs water crackers…yum yum

uadfasnnamedunnamFC33edI wish I had one right this very minute.

So that my friends is what’s new with me. Hungry? Yes me too:) Hope you are having a wonderful and enjoyable weekend. Wishing you a fantastic Sunday and end to your weekend.

A reminder to anyone who has asked, all the tole pieces should be online by later today/tomorrow. Until next time….

PS Be sure to check out the chinoiserie tole promo just starting on Monday at 8am! Click here.

A VERY exciting new delivery of chinoiserie tole!!

Hi there, well the last few days have been truly happy ones, due to the looooong awaited arrival of my newest batch of chinoiserie tole. To say it is magnificent honestly would be an understatement. I literally want one of everything.

I really took my time in designing these pieces and am beyond thrilled with how they came out. I also added a few really fabulous transitional items? (lamps) in addition to the chinoiserie which is what most of this line is all about.

So of course I could not wait to share this with you and give you a sneak peek at all the goodies, this is some of what has come in, there are some other pieces not yet opened.? They are going to start going online later today, and hope to have it all done by Saturday!

The good news for all of The Enchanted Home readers is that you will get first dibs and are the first to see this exquisite new exclusive additions. In the meantime, I am chomping at the bit to share, so here they are. Say hello to the newest additions……

So can you see why I am so excited! I just love every single piece. I can’t wait to start playing with flowers and boxwoods and the new tole:) One of my most favorite things to do. They will start getting online? today and hopefully it will all be up by Saturday/Sunday.

Thank you for stopping to see what’s new in my world. It is supposed to get dangerously cold? this weekend, so hope whenever you are, it’s warmer! It could cause a crimp for Valentine’s Day in the northeast (again)? so we are going to wait and see. Hope whatever you are up to is wonderful.

I am so tired of this weather……am longing for spring and cannot wait to fling open the windows and hear the birds again:) Wishing you a fabulous Friday and end to your week.
