Happy Monday morning to you ! ?So much happening at the house this week…….kitchen starts getting installed Wednesday- am so excited! This will be a process that will happen over a few weeks, as there are many elements to be installed, but the fact that even the “boxes’ are coming is a sure sign that the end cannot be far! They sealed the kitchen floors over the weekend again in preparation for the kitchen and after being covered up right away after they were installed I never really got a chance to sit and admire them. Well, suffice to say I spent plenty of time this weekend just standing, staring and LOVING my kitchen floors. I am truly in love with them….crazy sounding as it might be! Will be sure to update on Thursday.?
Don’t you just love a gorgeous crystal chandelier and what it adds to a room? Putting the sparkle factor aside, it adds a sense of old worldness, grandeur and has a beautiful way of anchoring a room. Chandeliers are by no means reserved strictly for traditional rooms but in fact work beautifully in even the most modern rooms too. Whats more, you see them well, just about everywhere today. In laundry rooms, back mud rooms, closets, dressing rooms, bathrooms, so many unexpected places and of course as expected in ?bedrooms, living, dining rooms and kitchens. Today I look at many different styles in many different types of settings. There is not a bad choice amongst them, each quite exquisite in my view. What are your thoughts on crystal chandeliers? Do you love or like them? Do you have a favorite look? Would love to know!

You also included my top of the wishlist bathtub in copper! Would never get outta there! I think i need to start a file just saving your inspiration. Looking forward to seeing your kitchen and the floors. it the kinda thing I would do stare for yonks at a floor that I love!

Oh TIna, ya spoil us….I BELIEVE IN CHANDELIER! I have one in 5 rooms of my home and I think that they upgrade a humble space. In fact, a chandy in my view is better placed in a humble room to give that understated elegance…OMG that second photo speaks to me!

Have a splendid day, Anita

I am a chandelier-a-holic myself. Actually found one yesterday in an antique shop in New Hampshire. A huge barn that sells mostly old tools for amillion dollars each, the guy didn’t care too much for the decorative items..I spied a chandy hanging in the rafters! It has a similar style to your first image, but only one tier and the beads were wooden! Quatrofoils cut out of the metal…makes my heart skip a beat when I find old light fixtures. I had to bring it home! Loved this post on all the gorgeous ways to light a room!

I don’t think you can go wrong with a beautiful chandelier. It’s like a piece of art in a room. Your photos were very inspiring today, thank you:)

Hi there
The most amazing chandeliers are the ones I see at the Ebanista showroom……….with rock crystal drops.
Best………Kathi

Love the crystal chandeliers. I love the sparkle and glam they bring to a room. Not only are the chandeliers great in your post so are the rooms. I’m seeing so much here I love. I fell hard for the day bed in the girls BR and the baths and kitchens always get my full attention. One other space stands our for me, the mud room……I love it. Actually I have space I could do this! No sparkle and glam here, Colonial with lots of brass (what was I thinking almost thirteen years ago). Can’t wait for your kitchen post.

It”s amazing to see how much they can enhance a space, the Massucco Warner Miller Design is just gorgeous. And the Gambrell also caught my eye, just a fabulous addition to the room. (I’ll also take the outdoor pergola, what a fabulous spot!)

Hope you have a fab week Tina!

Thanks for the lovely spaces made beautiful by those fab chandeliers…

I am always in awe at how a chandelier can transform a simple space into an elegant and stylish one ♥

Tina,
Thank you for sharing. NO ONE loves a chandelier more than I do. I do not think there is a place they don’t work!
I am so excited to see your house coming together.
Have a great Monday.

Love, love this post. Gorgeous images. I’m wild about beautiful crystal chandeliers. Love it when they are used more casually. I have a beautiful iron piece that we hand picked the prisms for. Added some amber and rock crystal pieces. It hangs from a distressed wood beam above my dining table. I love it. Have a great day. Mona

Oh Yes!! Crystal chandeliers, love them all. I have two. One in my living room and one in my kitchen. It is definitely the jewelry in the room. I love the sparkle and elegance it adds to each room. Mine are vintage 1930s so they are not elaborate or exquisite, but simple and elegant just like I like them. Kathysue

Love Love Love crystal chandeliers! I love them in rustic rooms and the odd room like a laundry room (I mean I spend the majority of my day in there anyway, right?). The empire style will always be my favorite. I totally get what you mean about staring at your floors. When I do something I love in my house I sit and stare at it all day.

I have 3 crystal chandeliers that belonged to my grandmother just sitting in boxes! Horrible, I know! I thought they might be too formal for my current home, but I think with the right mix they would ROCK some of my rooms!!

xoxo

I adore chandeliers….We have one in our bedroom over our bed.

Great news that big things are happening this week. You must be practically jumping up and down knowing your kitchen will be in place soon!

Love crystal chandeliers and can’t wait to renovate our master bath to add a petite chandelier above the tub. I know how you feel about your kitchen floor when we had ours installed I sat on it until the room got dark….the light hadn’t been installed yet….lol. Enjoy this hot day!

I too love chandeliers and have them in every room of my home (even my closet:)
I hope the house project is coming along and of course look forward to seeing where you decide to use these gems of accessories!

That second photo makes my heart go pitter patter! I just love chandeliers and have many in my home. Btw, how coincidental that I’ve pretty much done in my kitchen what Windsor Smith has done in hers (with the settee and chairs around a table situated at a large window). Only, the style of my furniture is different. I guess great, creative minds think alike! LOL

I used to have one of those petite crystal chandeliers (set of three pictured from decor pad)in my foyer in my last home! The buyer wanted it so I left it! These are gorgeous and I do love them although I don’t think that they fit into my decor these days. Can;t wait until Thurs for your house updates!

I have a gorgeous antique chandelier sitting in a box and since our home was built in 1920, it’s going to stay there until we find another… home that is! Love your stunning choices, Tina, and can’t wait to see the kitchen.
xxoo

Oooooo…ourdoor chandeliers! So pretty and they set the stage for lovely evenings! I think they are my fave!

Thanks for the many delightful ideas!

Hugs
