Hi everyone! Hope you all are doing great this Thursday…..I have had a pretty good week, especially since I have been headache free for the last three days, yippee!! Amazing how you take for granted things like good health and feeling well. I am convinced that much of this is stress induced, and no doubt stress has triggered a lot of these headaches. But enough of the headache talk, moving on, hope you are well. There is a lot going on of course at the house, the front entrance is really moving and shaking now and has totally transformed the front facade of the house, its exciting to see it nearly done though the scaffolding is blocking the view, its looking really beautiful.
Inside, upstairs dare I say parts of the the second floor are DONE! The boys rooms and a guest room is completed including the carpet. That is very exciting! However downstairs is a whole other story. The goal was to have the kitchen, family room and breakfast room done by Thanksgiving. I think we are going to be just about there but if so it will be Thanksgiving eve. At midnight. LOL, in other words at this point I have resigned myself to the fact that I may not be having my Thanksgiving turkey in my new house BUT I will be having my Christmas turkey there! That much I know for sure. So…..here we go with this weeks happenings. Would love to know if there is something exciting going on where you are or if you have discovered something wonderful…..Lots to cover today and forewarning, this is a rather lengthy post. Pour yourself a second cup of coffee:)

HOUSE UPDATES. I present to you today, the finished bedrooms and baths of the boys, this is very exciting to have some completed spaces!! I got one sample of the smaller knob for pantry and so glad I went with my gut on that one, so appreciate all your input, I know to some it seemed trivial but to me, it was important. Wallpaper ordered for powder rooms, very pleased with my choices. Family room and breakfast room has been painted. Front entrance is the big news around here this week, so included several pictures. Most surfaces and completed rooms are now swathed in paper and plastic so not much to photograph, but here is what I have…..A little frustrating as much of the house is now “under wraps” so the posts might be a little light over the next week or two. I am sad to say I don’t think I will be there by Thanksgiving seeing that its next week. Yes I am so anxious to be there but at some point you also tell yourself you are only capable of making so much happen, the rest you just need to let it go. And that, my friends is what I am doing, letting it go, trying to be patient and sit tight. Easy it is not. We are working as fast and furious as we possibly can to get in ASAP.

A GREAT BOOK ABOUT TRAVELING THROUGH ITALY. Next best thing to being there, and a little bit of therapy in a book! I cannot tell you how much I have enjoyed it. Aptly named “Go slow Italy” it is about taking the slow road through Italy’s countryside (sounds good already, huh) and how to unplug and relax and enjoy the ride.  It reads like the journal of a friend that talks about the best of Italy’s local offerings from local intimate hotels to quaint restaurants all embracing the sustainable food movement. Hear about innkeepers and vintners, you get the idea…yes, very worth the read if this is your sort of thing…. It is very much mine. A keeper! (I also bought one as a gift for Christmas for someone who  I know also enjoys this kind of book)

LIGHTING FOR MY FAMILY ROOM. As the one room we are planning out is coming together, we are working on lighting. This room calls for iron lighting of a very large scale. My architect had something slightly Gothic in mind as it goes so well with the architecture of the room. These are all from the exquisite handwork of Arte De Mexico.  Here are a few samples of a few fixtures and sconces that are the direction we are heading into…thoughts?

LETTERPRESS STATIONERY. I have been a long time fan of stationery. All kinds. Seriouly nuts for it. Whether or not I need it. I just love looking at it. I know in my next life I must be a party planner. I love and have an undying obsession with flowers, cakes and especially stationery. Duh…need to be a party planner. Letter press stationery makes my knees week, does it have that effect on you? Check out this gorgeousness from The lettered Olive, even the name I love!  Click here to visit their site and swoon some more.

A GREAT SITE FOR GREAT CHRISTMAS GIFTS. I hate to admit it but I am surrendering myself to the fact that Christmas is approx. six weeks ago and its not going away. So in addition to thinking about moving, I have the holiday frenzy to contend with. Therefore I am staritng now and I am starting online. Making it as easy on myself as possible! I LOVE Erin Condren. I have found so many amazing gifts there! I ordered the life planner for two people who lead super busy lives after rave reviews about this hold everything must have planner, the Lucite tray where you can download a favorite family picture and turn it into a beloved use everyday tray, ordered a few iPhone cases, an Ipad sticker for my niece, there really is something for everyone and it was soooo great to find so many unique gifts that showed I spent time and thought behind them! Click here to visit Erin Condren. Below a sampling of some of their goodies!
The lucite tray with a favorite picture, a great keepsake!

The Ipad “skin” personalized (how great are these, you only have to supply the pictures)!! Got the last one for my college aged niece.

The Iphone skin personalized with either names or pictures

The life planner book either with a picture or your name as below

Another option for the phone case
Personalized notepads, ordered for a few people, these are fun and everyone needs them!
A FEW DEALS AND STEALS ON ONE KINGS LANE. Do you ever shop on this site? I don’t too often though lately have been more so. I in the last few days since I have been headache free, have been trying to get organized and get a headstart on Christmas shopping. A few things I bought that were great looking and great deals were these wine coolers and cashmere slippers (if anyone is reading this, I would’t mind a pair myself)! Great gifts, don’t you think?

THE CUTEST CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS. How cute are these wellies ornaments? I got them for my two nieces who I know will flip out over them and then how could I not get my beloved nephew a video game controller ornament if I am getting them wellies? Too cute and soooo fitting for their personalities!

FUN RETURN ADDRESS LABELS. Ordered a few for gifts and one for myself. Unique things on this site. How cute are these? Shop to your hearts content, on everything from stationery, embossers, stamps, gifts, etc…..its a great little company!! Right now they are offering 15% sitewide and free shipping! A BEAUITFUL DESSERT. This has nothing to do with anything but how beautiful and elegant is this fig tart? I want to replicate it. I don’t know where I found it, but I know I love it. It is so pretty and I bet its delicious too. What do you think?
OK, I think I have talked quite enough about shopping for now and don’t even get me started on the subject of food, there willl be no stopping me! But whether we like it or not, the season is upon us and I for one, am not going to find myself in the lurch that I did last year, practically on the verge of a nervous breakdown, still searching for gifts Dec.23rd! No thank you. I want to be done and completed by Dec. 1st. I think I can do it. Thanks to e-commerce its easier than ever. Any great tips you want to share? Sites you have discovered that you recommend?  Spill the beans and don’t hold back…..Share it with us! Wishing you all a wonderful day!!

Hi Tina- the house is really starting to look “finished” with the beautiful carpets. Great choices, all classics. It must be nice to have a small part of the house totally done. That stone entrance is unreal, looks like something in France! The whole house is a visual delight, and good call on the knobs.
This is one stop shopping. Who needs a magazine or anything else when we have you! Thank you for SO many great ideas, don’t know where to start! I am going to refer back to this post many times and am definietly am going to get some of the items you suggested, so many terrific ideas, and I love the idea that they are personalized, which makes it special. Pace yourself during the busy frenetic holiday period especially since you have a move to deal with too though you strike me as someone who works well under pressure and is a woman of many talents! Thank you for a superb post.

Oh sweetie I’m so sorry you might not be in for Thanksgiving (I say “might” not because you never know….). I know that was so important to you and must be terribly disappointing. I know you are handling it well, as always though! I also wanted to comment on one thing- I love how the outlets in the bedrooms are placed in the baseboards rather than the walls. I haven’t ever seen this where I live and wonder if it s a code issue? IT is SO much cleaner looking to have them in the baseboards. Simply brilliant! Love everything you revealed today….no surprise there! XO
Stacy

Lovely updates! I love, love, love the carpet in the first bedroom (the one with the navy dots?) – I know you’ve probably already shared what type it is, but would you mind letting me know what it is? I am looking for new carpeting myself, and I adore this one!

Happy to hear you have been migraine free for a few days. Love the pictures and the front door looks absolutely stunning! For lighting in the family room have you taken a look at Currey and Company? They have beautiful chandeliers and lighting. A couple that come to mind are the Colossus and Coronation. I have seen a couple of their light fixtures in person and the website while beautiful doesn’t do them justice.
Speaking of lighting, I love how you placed the electric outlets in the baseboards of the bedrooms. Brilliant!
Am curious how large your home is (square feet) and who is your architect and your builder? Thanks for another great post!

Limestone entrance is to die for. All carpets are beautiful. The finishes and woodworking is outstanding, not often you see it done on that scale/caliber. I love the back stair hall and wrought iron front door.

Great finds on all the gift items. I got some good ideas here, especially the Erin Candren things, and yes to that fig tart. Beautifully done Tina. Hope you get to move soon and glad your headaches are gone.

PS LOVE the lighting, I think that style is so fitting and will look spectacular in that room, like an old European castle.

Tina–it is all coming together so perfectly. Love those lighting fixtures from Arte de Mexico too. You must be getting so excited after all of this efforts. Glad to are feeling better!

Wow… You never fail, Tina! πŸ™‚ Your posts are gifts and I’m not exaggerating.

I love the carpets. So well chosen.

I just read your comment, I was the same way last night. I woke up at 3 and couldn’t fall sleep again. Everything hurts at this point and I’m so ready!!! πŸ™‚ But I know it’s not up to me.

Have a great day, my dear friend.

Hi, Tina!

You just have great taste and fantastic ideas…that’s why I recommended your blog! I’m glad your feeling better.

Lots of really beautiful things here. I must say your house updates are always so interesting. I’m in love with that onyx floor in the powder bath. Love your carpet selections, the patterns are great. I’m so looking forward to how it will look with all your furnishings in. So glad your headaches are better!

Lucky Kate and I know that tote will come in handy with her baby on the way! Love the idea of traveling through Italy slowly and I’m sure I’d come across a fig tarte like the one pictured!
xxoo

Good morning, Tina! Loving that we both were thinking Erin Condren! Last night, I was also searching letterpress sites, so very happy to know about your find!

House – there are no words. Holy amazing!! Just picking out fixtures for my little powder room, laundry and bar sink was overwhelming, so I can honestly not imagine the amount of choices you have had to make. And, make them well!

I can’t wait to see that front door decorated for Christmas!!! And just think how amazing that 1st holiday meal will be in your new home.

xoxo Elizabeth

Hi Tina,
I’m delighted that you’ve chosen different carpets for the bedrooms. They all share a similar color tone that creates continuity from space to space, but the change in texture and pattern creates wonderful interest.
Have a lovely day, my friend,
~ Wendi ~

Just when you think it cannot get better, it does! I love how the house is now taking on a warm feeling, even though its huge there is something warm about it, maybe its knowing your warm and kind personality that will fill it. I love how you write.
Such great ideas here, and yes to those lights from Art de Mexico. I can really see them in that beautiful paneled room. Especially with the high ceilings you need something massive. Great carpeting choices too.
I am getting that book for my parents who are CRAZY for Italy. They are going for one month next June, I know lucky them.
I cannot wait to see when you start decorating your house, then the fun really begins. Have a nice day.

Hi Tina!
Hope your headaches have ceased. Nothing worse than a bad headache when you are in the decision-making mode.
The house and the front entry look amazing!
I love the library powder room flooring. I must admit, I think I was drooling over those photos!

Anxious to see what you will put on the stairs in your entry area. That’s always a tough one… finding the perfect thing.

Your holiday gift tips were fantastic! Will go look at the two websites now. Would be great to get a few gifts off of my list too.

Hope this finds you well.
xx
Alison

COMPLETELY in love with every single one of your carpet choices. LOVE.

And so glad I’m not the only one who wants to get Christmas shopping done ASAP! My hubs thinks I’m crazy πŸ™‚

The entrance is just so grand–the detailed work is beautiful! And I love the patterned carpet, especially the tan and navy dots!

I definitely need to check out those address labels–have been putting off getting some for a little while, because I didn’t find any I liked enough–those look great!!

If my eyes don’t deceive me I think I won the giveaway. Just in a little shock, because I really don’t win these types of things πŸ™‚ I will be e-mailing you. So excited!

omg… the house is coming along SOOOO beautifully! that front entrance is to die for! love the front and rear iron doors too. oh, and the chveron floor tile looks amazing. and now i want to quit working for the day so i can start shopping online:) LOVE the letterpress stationary!

Oh- The house is looking GOOD, Tina. You have come a long way now and soon, soon, soon it will all be over. So…NOW I am praying you are IN by Christmas! What fun that will be!

I almost forgot to come back after visiting all your shopping sites. I really love those planners and like that they are TABBED!

Hmmmm…well, I wonder if you will have Anonymous trolls coming out of the woodwork today! xo Diana

Tina-
THE HOUSE LOOKS AMAZING! I can’t believe you are almost there! I am so excited for you.
I love the carpet in every room and the bathrooms, stunning. The entrance is spectacular (running out of words to describe this beautiful castle), and the stairs and paneling are so perfect.
I love the first two chandeliers and the second wall sconce.
Ok, now I am off to shop the sites here. I love letterpress and stationary too, Tina.
Take it easy, and have a nice Thursday.
Teresa
xoxo

What an incredible home this will be! I can’t wait to see it completed and see all your beauties inside! I know this is sure to be a stressful time for you, but it will be so worth it!

LOVE the progress. Hopefully the headaches will subside. That onyx is amazing.

On the chandeliers: Love the look! #2 & #3 are my favorites. With sconce #2. Very close to my dream chandeliers–I saw NAOS FORGE at the SF design center. They have a website.

Thanks for the shopping tips. I like to hunt for antique monogrammed linens on eBay for gifts, along with fun cocktail napkins. Do a search on Madeira napkins. I just picked up a few whimsical mohair Steiff animal ornaments for the tree too.

Congratulations on the upstairs rooms being done…I know I’d be moving furniture in..if it wasn’t for those pesky building inspectors wanting an occupy permit!

Excellent choices on the carpets and bathrooms. Classic style that has lasting power.

Although you won’t be able to spend Thanksgiving in your new home Christmas will be extra special this year for you and your family.

Hello there my friend,

I am so happy that you are feeling better! That is a cause for celebration. Make sure that even though you are feeling better you follow up with your appointments, you never know they may have some new medication for your to try. My sister too suffers from migraines and sometimes that makes life and work diffucult.

The front entrance is fabulous! I cannot wait to see it finished. And the floor in the library bath…you have been holding out on us, that is the first I have seen of that beautiful spcae. I love it.

The bedreooms and baths look beautiful, I am as anxious as you are to see the house finished.

As for not being in by Thanksgiving, I am sorry that that did not work out for you. But the good news is that you will be there by Christmas! That is going to be so exciting!

I love all of the ideas for Christmas shopping. I have posted a few too, Nudo for olive oil. Phelindaba Lavender farm for all things lavender, Brugers for the bacon/ham lovers in your life. This is a family run company in Missourri. Check out fellow blogger Yonks in Wales for really beautiful antiques, and of course Castles Crowns and Cottages for one of a kind pieces of art. Anitas work is beautiful.

I also love giving people homeade treats. I am a huge baker and I think there are many people who either are too busy to bake or do not like to. I think if you are a baker or a cook a beautiful homeade meal or treats are a wonderful gift.

A simple easy gift is hot fudge sauce, caramel sauce, butterscotch sauce, (made by you)in a basket with beautiful bowls, perhaps a Cuisinart ice cream maker, sprinkles, etc.

As for books, you mentioned one on Italy. If you love Italy I highly recommend Marlena diBlassi. One thousand days in Venice and all the ones that follow are FABULOUS! She takes you to the heart of Italy and tells the tales of her live among the wonderful loval people she meets.

Ok, I have to stop, I hope you have a fabulous day! It has dropped 30 degrees in on day, we have gone from warm weather to a possible freeze! Crazy.

Take care my dear. Elizabeth

I love carpet choices especially in the guest room. Where did you get the carpet from?

I like the first chandelier the best.

Hi Tina! I am one of those who would love to receive that book of Italy for Christmas. LOVE it! And your carpets look beautiful! Can’t wait to see the final result! I’m taking a little blog break until 10th of December. See you then and have a great weekend!

Kristin xx πŸ™‚

What a great post, so much to see and absorb, I will have to come back and take it all in again! The house is just fantastic, your choices are so perfect and so timeless. The lighting is amazing, you cannot go wrong with any one of those. Can’t wait to see it in the space! I hope you realize just how great of a job you have done, you are really talented and I can only imagine how great it will look all furnished.
I thank you for the gift ideas, have ot get that Ipad skin and those embossers for a few on my list and I am a big Kings lane shopper, get great deals there all the time. Love your finds. Really nice post, as always Tina

My favorite picture was the long hallway view out the back door. Wowsers! I could just see you standing in the house walking towards it to go outside, and what a pretty door it is framing that woodsy view! Love it! I also was loving the onyx floor~you know how to do it up right Tina!

Oh gosh! That was so nice of you to put in a guest room for me when I come visit for an extended trip πŸ™‚ I love all of the carpet you used in each room! I’m so sorry about your migraines but I’m glad you’re feeling some relief. I’ve only had a migraine once, during the Superman movie, I walked out to get some water and ended up texting my husband from my bed telling him to meet me at home when the movie’s over. Ha! I’m pretty sure Thanksgiving crept up on everybody. You’ll be in when you’re in, and then you get to spend the rest of your life there! Stay positive (I know it’s probably soo hard). Loving the gorgeous stationery! Have a great weekend!

Your house! The tile work is absolutely phenomenal, Tina. You’re missing this holiday, but I have a feeling those walls will be host to many, many more in the future. And if you find a recipe for that fig tart, please link πŸ™‚

Congratulations to the winner. She will love her tote. Happy, happy, joy, joy to be headache free. You’re right, there is nothing more important than feeling well that we all take for granted. Enjoy your beautiful carpets (love them all)!

I’m so sorry you won’t be in your new home as hoped for Thanksgiving but it will make Christmas all the more special. And the fig thingy up above, count me in!

I have been catching up on your blog. re: negative comments .. There are so many unhappy folks in this world, they have to drag you down and Try to make you question your choices. I have several lovely homes, not the scale of yours but people question, ” why does anyone need more than 1 house”? Because we have worked hard and want different areas at different times. Enjoy your house, you sound balanced!

Your home is coming along wonderfully. These last few “stages” do seem to take forever. I like to see that we have very similar tastes/opinions. I used ivory beige travertine with Emperador Dark marble (chocolate) in my floor medallion in our master bathroom. It came out beautiful. You will enjoy the floor medallion in your foyer.

Just beautiful! Everything is starting to come together and it is looking so “polished”. I’m absolutely loving the molding in the bathroom behind the mirror and sconces. What a great touch. The tile in your powder room is amazing. I literally can’t wait to see how these rooms are going to look all finished and furnished. I’m sure you can’t wait either!

Where to begin here? So much beauty all in one place. I must say what really struck me were the carpets, the front door, the limestone in progress, the bathrooms, the laundry room color, well basically everything. What’s not to love here, its a total dream house.
Then that beautiful letterpress stationery, like you, I get so excited when I see it, it is so beautiful, will have to check them out. Great gift ideas too, lots of great ones.
You so get my vote on the iron lighting, it is so approrpriate for your home and that majestic room. I cannot wait to see what you choose. Love Thursdays, you are really getting close Tina. Just think you will be “home” soon and will be blessed to spend many many wonderful holidays there in the future, the best is yet to come.
LP

Stationery, so dear to my heart! Unabashedly plugging my daughter’s business, Smallfield Papers! She will be showing at the Junior League SHow ‘The Enchanted Forest’ in Greenwich this week end! TOns of letter press!
VERY exciting to see the interiors taking shape in your home!

Tina,
OMG…how I just want to come over and touch everything starting with egg & dart detail at the entrance, then I’d move onto the bathrooms and admire all the marble, fixtures and lights (Circa?) then I will so exhausted I have to lay on the rugs…I am crazy for the plaid and I love that you thought to be the outlets down low and out of sight…yep I notice things like that! And, the doorknob…swoon!!!
xo,
~R

The third chandelier is the best and the first sconce!
I love your gift ideas. Keep posting them!

Wow Tina, where do I begin??
Gorgeous with a sprinkling of divine!!
Or is it the other way around? πŸ˜‰
What an amazing journey, thank you for sharing your dream!! The chandeliers are exquisite..wow.
Inspirational..
And thank you so much for the gift ideas. I am trying to get an early start on the holidays as well..

Glad to hear you are feeling better!

Take care, and a blessed Thanksgiving to you,
– Irina

House updates stunning as always. I love your carpet choices, they are so different and will light up the rooms. Very hard to find lovely simple patterned carpet like those in Oz that doesn’t look like it should be in a roadside motel or Scottish castle! Your powder room is going to be so breathtaking with those tiles and the beautiful wallpaper you’ve chosen. Looks like you’ll be in for Christmas for sure.

I am totally loving the fact that I get to share in your dream home! It’s getting close now. I am sure you are anxious to get in there!! Love all of the new additions! xo

Oh Tina, I so understand your disappointment, but your Christmas is going to be AMAZING. It is all looking so beautiful, but I cannot get over the onyx floor in the powder room…I am beyond obsessed!!!! Hope you have a fabulous, headache free, weekend ~

I can see I am very late – I realized this morning I didn’t see a post from you yesterday – so weird that it was sooo delayed I got it Friday afternoon Munich time – weird huh? Anyway, fantastic post full of cool stuff Tina! I am loving the paneling in your back stairwell – might be my favorite detail on your house yet. πŸ™‚ And perfect timing on that letter press stationary – I have been working on designs for tags, etc. (like I told you I wish I’d had for your gift!) and this looks like a great resource! Have a great weekend Tina! πŸ™‚ I loved your comment about eating A LOT for Thanksgiving yesterday – had me laughing. πŸ™‚

Hi Tina, I love the beautiful classic carpet choices, and the baths are beautiful with the tile choice. The entrance is my favorite detail of the house, I’ll be excited to see it finished. The light fixtures your considering are what you would expect to see in your home, so your headed in the right direction with these, love them. Wow, all this going on and you’ve almost finished your Christmas shopping, no wonder you’ve been stressed. Great gift ideas. I’ll sure take a look at these. Love the letterpress stationary, gorgeous! The Fig Tart looks amazing, what a beautiful addition for the Christmas dessert table. Enjoy your Thanksgiving and I’m happy you’ll be in your new home soon.

The French Hutch

Not only are the rugs in the bedrooms fabulous but I love the soft beige on the walls. Are all the rooms painted the same beige or are they different tones? Could you share the paint colors with us?

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Even though you may not be in your new home you have a lot to be thankful for.

Day late to the party, but Wow. Tina, you always seem to find lots of things I have never seen! First, if I went into that powder room off your library, you might not ever see me again. I think that flooring selection in there is the bomb. I did not want to scroll away from it!!!! Secondly, my daugther is 9, so by the time she is ready to get married, you may be ready to plan a party and I am all in!!!! have a great weekend. M.

Tina, funny now when I open a new magazine I am kind of like “eh, not that exciting” why? Becuase I am spoiled looking at your house! Seriously coming here is like looking at the best issue of TH or Veranda any day! And this isn’t even furnished yet. Cannot wait to see that kitchen and family room all done up, wow it will be something to behold.
I am really happy for you because you seem like a really nice grounded person and I respect that. I am really blessed too but my sister is REALLY blessed if ya know what I mean, three houses, a beach house, a mega house like yours, travels all the time, 4 cards,a closet the size of most dining rooms, etc…….and as much as I love her to pieces and we are very close, she is very self absorbed she would as soon write a blog and share her journey as she would shop in Kmart, hehe. So I take my hat off to you, you are a very blessed girl with impeccable taste, ( I can say I knew you when) but seem really in touch with reality too and I am even more impressed with that than I am with the house and its really hard to find something to be more impressed with than that house!
Sending you and your family Thanksgiving blessings from Florida!

Tina,

Everything is very exciting and inspiring. It’s amazing how comforting is to see everything come to fruition. Thanksgiving is wherever your heart is and Christmas is way more exciting and beautiful.

P.S. Thank you for the link. Have a wonderful weekend!

Loved seeing all of the wonderful things that are taking shape in your new home! I loved all of the carpets especially! Seeing the tile, etc….in the bathrooms was a treat as well! LOVE all of the panelling and stone…there isn’t really anything I don’t love about it! Such fun getting to watch it progress! Thanks for sharing!
Carolyn

Tina, I’m so sorry to hear that you have been suffering with headaches — but glad that you are feeling better. Hopefully the beautiful progress in your home will go a long way to setting your head to rights! It looks gorgeous. Speaking of gorgeous, my own head is spinning from all these delightful gift ideas — I’m with you, I want to get everything organized and done this early this year. Hope you are successful! XO Jeanne

HI, Tina – I love the carpets you chose and, oh, the limestone entrance is perfect. As is the front door. But then I saw the library powder room floor. Knees are weak. Gorgeous.

Well done far Tina…Since i found your blog I’ve been a constant visitor and Thursday seems too far too see the updates on your gorgeous home/ mansion. I am also an admirer of your elegant taste. all the items you share are so tasteful. In this one absolutely in love with Arte de Mexico lights fixtures.. they are gorgyyy!! keep posting and enjoy the weekend
from : http://isawiheardisaid.blogspot.com/

Beautiful choices for the bedroom carpets. I hope your sons are better trained than mine about not wearing shoes in the house! Can’t wait to check out that website for holiday gifts – it looks like it has something for everyone! I hope your relatives didn’t read this post πŸ™‚
xo
Serena
ps. I’m so glad to hear you’re feeling better!

The front door is beautiful. Glad you changed the knobs.
Your attention to details is amazing. i have enjoyed watching
the house reveal itself.

Everything looks fabulous, Tina. Nice choices on the bedroom carpets, but the “to die for” is the onyx floor in the library powder room.

As for the fixture for the family room, I like the second chandelier and the second sconce, but they are all beautiful. The knobs for the butlers’ pantry are now perfect.

Thanks for the Christmas gift ideas and pleased you are headache free.
BTW, I didn’t get this post until today, either. It almost ruined my Thursday.
Best…Victoria

Tina,

First off, so glad you are feeling better. The front entrance is supeb with a commanding presence. Carpeting in the boys rooms and guest rooms are perfect in color and texture.

No worries that you won’t be in your new home for Thanksgiving this year because for many years after this your will.

Love the smaller knobs in the butlers pantry, back stairs, laundry room, and library powder flooring are fantastic too!

Love books and Go Slow Italy looks fantastic as a hostess gift.

Love the #4 and #5 lighting for the family room. Arte De Mexico leaves me speechless and that’s not easy to do. As well as stationery…I’m with you I have a deep connection to paper. Goodies look sensational I’ll have to visit Erin Condren site too as well as Expressionery. Your right e-commerce is better than ever this year…happy shopping.

Tina, everytime I see a house update I just about drop my jaw!!! Amazing and so exciting that you are getting so close to moving in. I am so happy for you!!! I am definitely going to check out some of the gift sites you reccomended. Love the wellies idea and the ornament to embellish the gift is a great idea and a fun clue of what is inside!!! The tart you have pictured is one I have on my pinterest board and I used it in a post recently. You commented on how much you loved it as did many. I would love to be able to make such a pretty dessert myself!!! have a great weekend so glad you are feeling better and thanks again for all the great sites to check out

PS Forgot to say, my favorite kind of shopping is dressed in jammies and at my computer!!! the only way to shop this time of year!!

Hi- Your home is going to be out of this world.

I was just curious what charitible organizations you support. There is so much devastation, horror and poverty in the world that I am sure it hard to choose. If you need any info, my husband and I support quite a few global orgainizations that help supoort some of the saddest places in the universe. Let me know if you need any infomration.

All best-
Nancy

Wow! Where to start?! Everything is absolutely beautiful! And, I do mean EVERYTHING! The front facade, and the front and back enty halls are magnificent. The carpets are wonderful. I’m glad you chose the smaller knobs. I like the third chandelier. Then, for me the sconces are a tie. If forced to choose, however, I think I would choose the second one. But, the first one would not be wrong either. I’m sure you’ll make the right/best choice.

Tina,

Wow the house is looking AMAZING πŸ™‚ You really have such an amazing eye, I cannot wait to see it furnished.

I don’t know if you’re still looking for lighting, but I just wanted to suggest World Imports ( I actually used a lot of their outdoor lighting inside my lake house!) and Bevelo (amazing gas lanterns made in New Orleans).
I think looking for lighting was the thing that I spent the most time on and so please excuse my impertinence but I thought I would pass these suggestions along.
