Good Monday morning..hope everyone had a superb weekend. I don’t know if you all caught my “random Sunday musings” post yesterday where I included a hysterical video on the “Uggs vaccine’ but I also meant to say despite the throngs of teenagers and moms that think they look like their 16 year old daughters but are sadly mistaken who adore them and have succumbed to the puffy phenomenon, I DO LOVE MY UGG SLIPPERS! They are incredibly toasty and cozy, and I wouldn’t give them up for a lifetime supply of Swedish Fish (well on second thought I might need to reconsider, I mean we are talking a lifetime). So the video is for both those who love them and those who are no so fond of them…its all in good fun!

Normally I run my “behind the blogger’ posts on Mondays. I have one more to post which will be next week, and then taking a break from that and have another idea cooking, which I hope to start up sometime after the holidays. Stay tuned……

With the holidays officially in full swing, like it or not, its time to start thinking about holiday plans, gift giving, entertaining, and decorating your home for the holidays. Admittedly, it makes me a little weak at the knees just thinking about it, but once I start the ball rolling, normally there is no stopping me…….. I turn into the Christmas decorating beast unleashed!! This year will be a little different because we are going to be moving and I think unpacking and making our house a home will take precedent over Christmas decorations but I know I will still have to do my share no matter what. At no other time other than Christmas and Dec. does adding a little sparkle make a home look more beautiful. Gold, silver, pewter a little mercury glass there, a dose of gleaming crystal here….there are so many ways to add a little bling to your home. So below are some beautiful examples of how to get your sparkle on……..what are your favorite looks to add holiday sparkle to your home?

There is no such thing as too much sparkle in December! Case in point here.
Gold and silver mix beautifully together, check out their “garland” on the stairs..fun!
Love the combination of silver all a glitter on a rustic beautiful table, Lisa Luby Ryan
Sparkle looks perfect on a Christmas tree…love seeing gold and silver on a tree

Adding a shiny bowl of beautiful same colored ornaments to a table is a instant way to jazz it up
Soft gold and silver work beautifully in a neutral softly toned room, love how the gifts are assorted into silver tins….clever!
Get a favorite silver bowl and fill it with gold and silver balls…..it works every time!
Adding a little something shiny to a beautiful gift is the perfect sparkle touch
The impact of big oversized metallic ornaments is dramatic and beautiful
A beautiful mini tree all decked out in gold…why not!
Mercury glass in all its many colors is perfect way to add a little bling to any space
A little holiday sparkle is for Hanukkah too!
A stunning place setting all a glitter is a perfect way to make a sparkly statement
I love the mix of silver and gold, even done simply but elegantly
Love mixing the natural greenery with a bit of gold and silver sparkles on a table….
A tree all a glitter in an otherwise neutral setting is quite breathtaking, Lisa Luby Ryan
Look at how much this adorable little glitter birds add to these ivory wrapped presents
How about a fabulous wreath made of glittery shiny ball ornaments?
Even taking simple ivory paper and wrapping them with silver and gold ribbon and adornments is a beautiful way to add a little holiday sparkle to a room
There is no denying the magic of a table laden with silver!
Here’s something everyone can do…fill two large cylinder vases with gold and silver balls and sprayed pinecones, talk about instant impact!
I love the idea of keeping all the gifts wrapped in the same metallic tones
Mercury glass is such a beautiful way to dress up any table
Love the soft muted sparkle mixed with earthly colors…spectacular!
Love how Centsational girl used wallpaper in the back of this cabinet and filled it with small gold and silver objects….beautiful!
A dining setting is picture perfect when adding silver or gold…..
Perhaps the most beautiful way to create sparkle is to smother a Christmas tree in it, its pure magic when you do!
Sometimes something as simple and small as a single candle done in beautiful mercury glass such as this one by Pottery Barn is just enough sparkle for a small table or console
Sometimes adding just a touch of sparkle is just enough as is the case here, its perfect
I love a color brought in like this beautiful green with the silver….so pretty!
Carry the magic outside….add sparkle to the outdoors by lit Christmas figures and oversized hurricanes…its magical!
A fabulous place setting set with a gold china service is always picture perfect!
So the question is will you get your sparkle on? How will you do it? Would love to know! To me, nothing makes the house feel like Christmas’s magic fairy dust is sprinkled all around us like having little bits of sparkle throughout the house. The living and dining room are obvious places but don’t forget about a little something in your kitchen and adding something to the guest powder room is always a great idea, it is those little touches that make a big difference! Would love to know what you like to do!! Sparkle on………

Tina,
I love every one of your Christmas images. What gorgeous inspiration!
I’m sure you’ll somehow manage to unpack, set up the new house, AND beautifully decorate it for Christmas. Your energy and ability to accomplish so much never ceases to amaze me!

What a breathtaking post. I got so many great ideas here, changing up my normal red and green boring look with a little more “bling’ this year and this post was the perfect thing for me to see to get some really great ideas. Thanks.
Also the Ugg video was so funny, my daughter got a kick out of it, though she is a Ugg lover through and through!

Beautiful post Tina. So many special ideas that all of us can incorporate into our own holiday design scheme.
Love your blog. We built our home a few years ago. It was a wonderful experience, from beginning to end.
Boots? I love my Tecnicas. From the first pair I purchased in Italy to my many others I have found since and all those I have given to my friends.

Beautiful Holiday inspiration. I may have to head over to Lisa Luby Ryan’s store this week to get my fix in person! Since we won’t be back in our house until Jan/Feb we will travel for Christmas….I don’t even know that we will do a tree as our temporary living quarters are so cramped. I am going to have to live vicariously through everyone else. We do, however, have lots of festive plans on the books for December and I am already getting in the spirit.

De tout, de rien on

Oh, this was a lovely way to start the week! You have inspired me, I stole a couple of pics! I’m thinking of having two trees this year, a blue, silver and white tree for our living room and a more traditional red and gold for the family room.

This really makes me want to GET MY SPARKLE ON! I love the idea of bring in silver and gold to a home for the holidays. It does add such a festive and happy feeling to a home. I just ordered gold Christmas stockings from Horchow and got a huge box of gold and silver balls at Costcos! So looks like I am on my way to getting my sparkle on. Love this post, thank you and hope you get into your new home soon so that you can start decorating too.

Good morning, Tina!!! So happy to be back with my friends in blogland!

These sparkling examples of holiday finery have me wanting to drape my home in all things bright! I did finally tell my husband we HAD to clean out the dining room (which had been a renovation staging area) and after putting up an abbreviated amount of decor, I’m feeling in the spirit. We’ll get our tree this coming weekend and then we’ll be 100% there.

Happy Monday and happy packing. I know you are SO excited about putting everything away in its new place!!

Tina~ What a gorgeous post to tickle my eyes this morning. I have been sitting here this morning, sipping my coffee and thinking about how much I want to do for Christmas this year-decorating wise. I have a ROOM in the basement filled with Christmas…but I will be gone helping my daughter for a lot of the Season this year…with new baby and her recovery from surgery. So…to decorate…to NOT decorate? It is hard to do a half-way job for me…I’m a kinda all or nothing kinda gal.

This post sure got my blood stirring though to DO IT ALL~ I’ll keep you in the loop! xo Diana

I’m beyond excited that I got my husband to put up the outdoor lights yesterday. I’m feeling so festive now!! I love a little gilt for the holiday season. And I’m loving that little table top mini tree – I have a mirror identical to the one behind it and am thinking I might try that somewhere this year. Thank you for the idea!

Acquired Objects on

Love the sheet music as a placemat and I’m stealing that idea. We place small trees throughout the house, like two feet tall and keep the decorations to two or three colors. Mainly decorate with lots of greenery since we live in a forest. All great ideas.

Love Mercury glass anytime, anywhere. Christmas Lights Etc is a great resource for larger quantities/multiple sizes/colors of glass ornament balls for decorating. They carry every size and finish, though you have to order early (Sept/Oct) for unlimited selection.

My favorite idea book for the winter season is Winter House by Charlotte Moss…lovely Old World design with an emphasis on “the details”, something our dear Tina excels at! Can’t wait to see the new ideas you have to unveil….I hope it is your own line of decor!!

Beautiful images!

My in-laws moved just before the holidays several years ago. My MIL called a local decorator to style the home for the holidays. The decorator came in and added touches throughout the house and decorated the tree using the color palette of the home. My MIL said it was well worth the money.

Tina-
This post is amazing! I am in the mood for Christmas now!
I don’t think that you can get too much silver or gold. I consider my silver my most prized tangible possession.
I can’t choose just one or two, but I will tell you that the last image is stunning and classic!
Have a wonderful day.

Now I’m in the Christmas spirit! I decorate my tree every year with silver and clear glass ornaments. I’ve been collecting them for over 20 years, so I have more than I can fit on the tree! Love the way they sparkle with the clear lights! P.S. I have my Ugg slippers on right now! So toasty!

Hello Tina,

I loved all of these beautiful inspiration photos, my favorites were the ones with the mercury glass and I really liked the casual Martha Stewart tree with the galvanized buckets.

I am finished decorating, every room has a little tree in all sorts of themes, that way as I move through the house there is Christmas cheer everywhere.

I love the lights, the music, I love it all.

I hope you are in your fabulous dream house in time for you to celebrate the beauty and magic of your favorite holiday!

Have a wonderful night, Elizabeth

I was so confuse and seeking for help, I don’t know what to do until I met my friend Augustina and told her about my problem. she told me not to worry about it that she had a similar problem before and introduce me to a man called Dr olorun who cast a spell on her ex and bring him back to her after 1days. Augustina ask me to contact Dr Olorun. I contacted him to help me bring back my husband and he ask me not to worry about it that the gods of his fore-fathers will fight for me. He told me by two days he will re-unite me and my husband together. An amazing testimony on a spell caster who brought my wife back to me..
My name is Andy Sowers,i live in Australia, and I’m happily married to a lovely and caring wife, with two kids.A very big problem occurred in my family seven months ago, between me and my wife.so terrible that she took the case to court for a divorce.she said that she never wanted to stay with me again, and that she didn’t love me anymore. So she packed out of my house and made me and my children passed through severe pain. I tried all my possible means to get her back, after much begging, but all to no avail.and she confirmed it that she has made her decision, and she never wanted to see me again.
So on one evening,as i was coming back from work,i met an old friend of mine who asked of my wife.So i explained every thing to her,so she told me that the only way i can get my wife back,is to visit a spell caster, because it has really worked for her too.So i never believed in spell, but i had no other choice, than to follow her advice. Then she gave me the email address of the spell caster whom she visited.{solutionwhitmagicspell@gmail.com}.
So the next morning,i sent a mail to the address she gave to me,and the spell caster assured me that i will get my wife back the next day. What an amazing statement!! I never believed,so he spoke with me,and told me everything that i need to do. Then the next morning, So surprisingly, my wife who didn’t call me for the past seven {7}months,gave me a call to inform me that she was coming back.So Amazing!! So that was how she came back that same day, with lots of love and joy,and she apologized for her mistake, and for the pain she caused me and my children. Then from that day,our relationship was now stronger than how it were before,by the help of a spell caster.
So, i will advice you out there to kindly visit the same website {solutionwhitmagicspell@gmail.com},if you are in any condition like this,or you have any problem related to “bringing your ex back.
So thanks to the solutionwhitmagic caster for bringing back my wife, and brought great joy to my family once again.
{solutionwhitmagicspell@gmail.com},
Thanks.
