Hi there! Today’s post is such a pretty one if you are like me and love transferware. Decorating with it has never been so inspirational as it is today, you see it positively everywhere! If you are asking what it is, its simply pottery that has  a pattern that’s been applied from a copper plate to a specially sized paper and then to the pottery. It is produced mostly on earthernware, but not exclusively and you can find it on china, ironstone ans porcelain.

On walls, on bookscases, on coffee tables and consoles, heck you even see it on bathroom walls! There is no limits as to where it can go. Today is all about transferware inspiration in a big way. I am in love with every single picture here! How about you? Do you have the same feelings over it? Then when you are done ogling over how beautiful it can be……are details for a fabulous trasnfersware giveaway courtesy of antiques dealer doyenne, Bonny Neiman!

Brown transferware is just stunning, Southern Accents
I like it here displayed with antlers, beautiful! HB
A grand old dining room gets a beautiful collection to grace its wall, Ruth Berts
Blue and white is always a winner! Jennifer Jordan
Jackye Lanham filled a big wall with transferware in soft tones, the effect is ethereal
A beautiful way to add a decorative accent to a pretty chest and vignette, Common ground.
Charles Faudree regularly uses transferware as part of his decorating story in his sumptuous rooms!
Tranferware makes one heck of a beautiful statement at a dining table, Southern Accents
It can make a room feel so opulent and full such as this elegant dining room, Nancy’s daily dish
Yes, I know we have all seen this countless times but how can I not include it! Charles Faudree
A perfect accent in this beautifully creamy kitchen, Maison Decor
It is beautiful when also mixed with other types of pottery, HB
Love the character the transferware gives this beautiful and charming kitchen, Myplacetoyours
How gorgeous is the green transferware next to the rich brown woods? Nancysdailydish
Purple transferware is beautiful on a dining room wall, this is Amy’s beautiful room, Maison Decor
Mixed with crisp white, this green transferware makes a beautiful breakfast table! Happytodesign
Always loved this dining room by Cathy Kincaid, the transferware is the perfect touch!

Could it get any prettier than transferware and toile? I don’t think so. Nancydailydish
Boy, it sure makes a beautiful tea party!
A pretty collection lines an upper shelf in a beautiful room
It always works in a kitchen, even one or two pieces can have impact, Myplacetoyours

How beautiful green transferware is displayed here in a hutch next to the richness of pewter…fabulous, French country cottage
I absolutely love blues and browns together, this is so beautiful! Andrea O Meara
Wow. Just wow. I would even give up on my fears that one of these would drop on my head while in the bathtub, in the name of beauty:) And technically, this isn’t transferware but I had to include it……you could certainly get the same effect with it!
Now onto the giveaway, which is for, you guessed it….. a scrumptious piece of transferware. And not just any transferware, but a gorgeous antique pitcher. Tina, what a magnificent post. I have some transferware in the browns that is actually hung in my breakfast room. It is a great thing to decorate with, I agree. I love the pitcher and it would work beautifully in my white kitchen! I will have to visit her store, my parents live in Princeton NJ, so will have to see where she is in relation to them, since we visit them every March during spring break. Hope you have a great day.

It just doesn’t get any better than blue and white! Wonderful post. Happy Friday!

Love all the pictures you put together for this post. Decorating with blue and white is my favorite! This pitcher would go perfectly in my bedroom. It reminds me of the pitchers used in the south to help ladies freshen up before dinner. Being an Alabama girl living in Texas it would remind me of my roots every time I saw it. Thanks for the opportunity to win it. Very generous of y’alll! ;0) Julie Bratcher

What a beautiful post! I do love transferware, but never have I seen so much and in so many colors. I’m so happy to learn about Bonny. She does look like she enjoys her passion. I think I’ll have to watch Julia & Julia again…the hunt really is the fun part. I would love to win. Not to get ahead of myself, but I’m already planning a post featuring this beautiful pitcher in a vignette against my chalkboard wall…and then for its final home I would give it to my friend Suzanne who introduced me to blue & white transferware. In case I don’t win, I’ll be on the hunt this weekend at a flea market in Irvine.

I also love this post. My mother started my addiction to transferware and I now have a large collection of brown and white with a few pieces of blue and white so this pitcher would have lots of pretty company should it find its way into my home. Thank you to you and Bonny for this wonderful and generous giveaway. I look forward to visiting her site too, always admire someone who truly loves what they do.

one of the prettiest homes i ever entered was an almost mother in-laws house.

still to this day….i feel the same way about her home and g-d given talent.

Beautiful post! Transferware looks beautiful everywhere, but particularly lovely with ginghams and toile! One little correction though, the bedroom you attribute to Charles Faudree is actually David Easton’s own bedroom from that wonderful house he sold some time ago….I have the exact image along with the rest of the house!

Bonny has wonderful goods in her store. Love that little stool with the “Swedish (?) pelt.

My absolute favorite of all the transwerware images is the one with blue and brown plates. Not too many. A great mix and an unusal display. Very nice.

You’re all like little gerbils begging for the pitcher — if you exerted less effort nagging your husbands and complaining about your inconsequential lives and more time doing something productive, you would be able to purchase your own pitcher.

P.S. the pitcher is nice though, please enter me to win it
