Hi there. Really hope this shows up when its supposed to (Sunday morning) I have for the second time tried to schedule this in advance (first time I tried it, I was unsuccessful). So hope you are seeing this on Sunday morning! Hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing Thanksgiving! Anyone taking advantage of black Friday? We are not home but even if I was, that “scene”is just not my thing. I am very claustrophobic and just don’t see the point of purposely delving into such chaos. Lets face it……retailers are going to be having all kinds of deals right up to Christmas eve.  How are you doing on your own holiday gift giving list? Like me and haven’t bought a single gift? I am gearing up to start though right after Thanksgiving.

I have gotten several emails/inquires about suggestions for my favorite gifts from my shop. As I started to reply, I thought this might also make a great post as well as answer questions some might have. So here’s a few of my favorite things and some suggestions to boot from my online shop. To celebrate the season I am also hosting a wonderful giveaway, all details on the bottom….

(Click on item name to see it in my online shop)

My favorite gifts for under $50.00……there are many wonderful, unique and special items. The monogrammed items are fabulous and personalized. They also ship out really fast, generally 3 days after orders been placed. Tell me who wouldn’t love to receive a box of gorgeous heavenly scented soaps bearing their initials! Ditto a candle. Anything silver always works and linens and monogrammed anything are about as wonderful as you can get! And lets not even begin to talk about the fabulousness of the newly added napkin rings…..

This elegant candle in a crystal urn is fabulous….and is a gorgeous decorative vase when the candle is gone….$45.00

Gorgeous crested tray, perfect for a bath vanity or nightstand, for men, great for wallet, coins and watches and for women rings, small perfume bottles, etc….$45.00

Love the French bar/kitchen towels. Several styles to choose from. Gorgeous hostess gift too especially when accompanied with a bottle of wine! $25.00

The ever so popular pewter coated napkin rings. Absolutely exquisite. I love the idea of giving one or two and letting them start a collection. Every special holiday giving another to add. Several are doing this…love the idea and am going to be doing it myself. $45.00 (for a limited time)

Over sized elegant monogram in a set of 3 luxurious linen guest towels. A very elegant gift $30.00 (great hostess gift too)

Beautiful square candle bearing a three initial monogram $25.00

Who wouldn’t be over the moon to get a set of 12 of these gorgeous linen cocktail napkins with an oversized initial? Also wonderful paired with a bottle of wine. $30.00

I think anyone would be delighted to open up a box of custom soaps with their initials! They come in ovals or squares, in boxes of 3, 4 and 6. They start at $25.00 for a box of 3

For the gifts at around $100 there are several that not only I love but in fact plan on giving to others this Christmas some of my most popular items, which  are……

The super popular squirrel pewter nut bowl...just fabulous with its own little acorn scoop. Every time I give one, the recipient is absolutely thrilled…very unique! I like to give with a can of nuts on top. $85.00
Super functional but so personal by getting it personalized. The three letter large carving board is an excellent gift. Also great when paired with some kind of boxed food (crackers and cheese, cookies and/or fruit) on top…perfect gift. Theses start at $22.00 and the large is $60.00

A gorgeous porcelain and ormolu decorative box….easy to find a place for this pretty little jewel $75.00
The porcelain and ormolu soap dishes are $60.00 and $70.00 (also very nice to enclose with a small guest soap or box of candies)

Love these Staffordshire dogs, available in a few colors, highly decorative and only $55.00

The Bavarian bread boards are multi functional..great to use as a decorative object and wonderful to serve on. I serve crostinis and make bread and cheese displays on them, starting at $70.00

Any one could use this! Dip n serve board is super practical but really custom because its monogrammed. $60.00

The trivet is fabulous. I use it all the time for antipasta displays when entertaining, love the chunkiness of it, a great looking piece (comes in round or rectangular)

The Spanish olive trays are really popular. Again perfect for display or serving. I love using them for cheeses and serving crostinis…starts at $75.00

A very elegant and old world looking planter, fill it with a holiday plant and you are set! $70.00

A beautiful vanity or bar tray, beautiful detailing $95.00

Love this little tray, so perfect for a ladies vanity or even in the kitchen as an elegant way to hold spices on the counter top, $70.00

And for really over the top special gifts for that special someone, a few of my faves….

Gorgeous pair of solid pewter pheasants, fabulous for a dining or console table. Very elegant! $215.00

A beautiful needlepoint pillow. I have a really exceptional selection of the highest quality aubusson and needlepoint pillows, stuffed with down. Starts at $150.00

A pretty canvas art. So many wonderful scenes to choose from. Starts at around $115.00

Giving a set of the napkin rings….amazing ultimate gift. Wonderful for that someone who ” has it all”, its fun to mix things up and put a different one at every place setting.
So has anything here caught your eye? Or are you like me and you find yourself making a list of things you want to give yourself? LOL…..I think there are a lot of us out there!

Thank you for the continued inspiration! I especially loved the most recent post reflecting on the colors of fall. I have been living in Pennsylvania for the last 12 years and it was a delightful surprise to come across a photo of the Friends Meeting House where I attended meeting for the last three years of high school (I am a Friends Academy graduate). I love the porcelain soap dishes (partial to the two with white backgrounds) and soaps would make a nice touch in our new home.

Thank you for hosting this give away! Emma S.

I love opening your blog…makes my day. And I love those soaps. They are elegant but not so elegant or fancy that people wont use them …which I like….thank you for the gift suggestions ! Happy belated Thanksgiving! Laura

Hi Tina adore so much. I own your squirrel nut bowl and its so great, plan on ordering more for gits. The French towels, soaps and European kitchen things are all wonderful and unique too. I would love to win this giveaway, so beautiful!

Cassie E. ([email protected])

I am obsessed with the colored staffordshire dogs (I’m a huge animal lover and own two rescued cavaliers) and I think the monogrammed soaps are fantastic gifts that anyone would be pleased to receive.

Thank you for all the time you put into this wonderful blog; I always look forward to it!

Good Morning, what a nice treat to open. I love everything and the pheasants are great and I love all the silver.

Cynthia

Hey Tina, Melinda Bennett here in VA, adore it all but hands down I want, make that need not one but two of the Huge Blue and White Chunky lidded jars they look so old. All the things you have curated for your on line shop are wonderful and with such nice prices one can come back again and again to purchase. Just started working on my gift list so I will be back in touch. Glad you had a quiet Black Friday, we did too. On to December!!!!!!!!
Love Melinda

I love everything but the canvas art is beautiful! Love the ormolu soap dish, very pretty. Thank you and have a wonderful day! ~Tammy

Hi Tina, I have been dreaming of the blue and white planter, which would look lovely on my new Commode/chest. Thank you for inspiring me to make my home even prettier. Enjoy the day! Joan R.

I hope your time away for Thanksgiving was wonderful and relaxing! I can’t wait to hear about it! If I were choosing a gift for myself it would be really difficult because there are so many wonderful things to choose from! I guess I’d have to pick the monogrammed dip and serve platter! I love it and I know my family would use it at least once a day! The way we are around here it would probably never get put away! Anyway…everything looks great and it’s really making me want to put our items online more than we do! Maybe next year! Take care and have a wonderful Sunday!

I enjoyed reading your blog when it was about house design and renovations – even though it was a bit ostentations and show-off – but its fun to see how 1% live I guess, but lately it seems to have descended into a long advertisement – and a very repetitive one – of the things you sell in your on line shop. People seem to like it though since they’re are many ‘grateful’ comments like you’re delivering something unique (are you??). How about showing us more of the house, the family – what are they all about/up to – and what you do in the rest of your life. Otherwise this is definitely more of a website for a store selling reproductions of ‘antiques’

I love the silver trays in all shapes and sizes and would love to have one of the lighter background soap dishes with a lovely monogramed soap for one of my powder rooms! Cheri R

Am loving this parade of decor treats Tina! So many gorgeous things for the home.

Hoping you are all keeping well. I can only imagine the plans laid for this very first Xmas in your new house. Can not wait to see.

Hi Tina,
I’m with you regarding Black Friday; I’d much rather sleep in and enjoy my coffee and newspaper. As always, it’s hard to narrow it down; you have so many lovely things to choose from. The gift I would love to receive would be one of the farmhouse cutting boards or the tangerine planter/footbath. Thank you and have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Kathy C.

I love your store. If I could pick my own gift it would be the Hemstitch Linen Placemats. I have a soft spot for linens and these are beautiful and timeless. Thanks for sharing such a generous giveaway.

Love your silver planters, so elegant.

Hope you are enjoying the weekend – you are going to be very busy next week shipping orders!

The large silver gallery tray (NAO5) is stunning and I could envision it perfectly on my old chinoiserie cabinet stocked with items for a festive bar! All of the items in your store would be wonderful gifts this holiday season. Thanks for your sharing your life, ideas, and exquisite taste through your fun blog! That, in and of itself, is the best gift of all!! Lisa Lee

I just love the new metal songbird tray. How pretty! I hope you are still enjoying last of your weekend away.
Rose Blamey

Dear Tina,
I’ll be honest: I’ve never followed a blog before. Really don’t think I’ll make time for any other right now. Your shop has my Christmas, birthday, Valentines Day, Mothers Day, or just any old day wish list. Today, I’d choose BJ04 Etched glass pendant, and I have the perfect spot for it on the catwalk overlooking my 2 story great room. Everyone who entered my doors would spend some time gazing at its loveliness!
Thanks for spreading all that joy! And God Bless!

Hi Tina,
I would love the crystal candle compote. It reminds me of glassware from my grandmother and moms time. I am lucky enough to have inherited a service of hostess plates.
Kathy Pierson

I love the dough bowls. I love the blue & white vases. Let’s face it, I love all the things in your shop. You have such great taste Tina. Would love the box of monogramed soaps & porcelain dish. Hope I win!!

Everything in your shop is so beautiful it’s difficult to choose one thing but I think I have narrowed it down to two things I absolutely love–the silver planter with feet and the pewter napkin rings. This is such an awesome giveaway. Thank you. Whoever wins will be very lucky. Love your blog and it makes my day when I see it in my mailbox.
Linda O.

Tina, you have given us so many wonderful and personal gift ideas. I love a good monogrammed gift and you have so many to offer. Love the candle!!!

As far as Black Friday goes, even though it isn’t for everybody, I’ve noticed a kind of “looking down one’s nose” by many bloggers who wouldn’t be caught dead in that mess. I remember going when the kids were little and we didn’t have much money – this was the time of the best deals. I haven’t gone the last few years, but my teenage son wanted to go experience it – so off we went. It was festive, crowded, and actually pleasant. Rather than being stressed, pushy, and rude, people were friendly and helpful in pointing out where certain items were. The employees were plentiful and more customer-service-oriented than they are most days of the year. The lines moved quickly and efficiently – we went to two large stores and were home in less than two hours – including a stop at an in-store Starbucks for tea and hot cocoa. Even the parking lot was full of “after you” type drivers and the police who were on hand just to make sure things were orderly, actually were smiling and wishing everyone a “Happy Thanksgiving”. I have friends who’ve been “downsized”, divorced, and maybe not as blessed as many bloggers evidently are. While the news reports highlight the problems for sensationalism, for many people it was a blessing – they could stretch their holiday dollars in order to afford a nice holiday. It also was a time to purchase toys and jackets for various charities that are having to handle more families than ever this year. Anyway, just wanted to share our experience instead of asking you for a free gift.

Everything is so beautiful….the specialty stores in NY don’t have the quality you have here! Got to get going on deciding on those napkin rings!

What a nice giveaway and just in time for the holidays. Hope yours was a happy one. I have to say I agree about black Friday, not for me either and I have found that normally the same deals can be found later in the season or online so there’s not much that it offers to me at least. I hate crowds, and actually get nervous in them so I prefer online shopping.
I love ALL your items, seriously! But I love the bell jars, the dough bowls and olive trays most. I also think the napkin rings would make an incredible and very unique gift. I love your selection. Happy holidays Tina.

All of your offerings are beautiful Tina! I stayed in my shop on black friday but my shop is not a shoppers haven, its more of an artists studio and I only had a couple of visits~it was nice and low key. I got a lot of painting done. I hate crowds too and will do most anything to avoid them, and that includes crowded traffic and commutes etc. I prefer to shop online and with all the great things one can find at the touch of a computer key, its easy to do. So wishing much success for your store and mine too! xo I would be happy if you could enter my name in the giveaway~

I could not possible name just one thing! But I do love all the silver, the blue and white porcelains and the monogrammed everything. Would love to win

PS Oh and I love the napkin rings and cannot wait to get my order!

I absolutely adore everything in your shop, but every time I go to your site, I have to visit the section with the antique dough bowls so I can admire them again and again!
They’re wonderful decorative and functional pieces, and I would absolutley love to unwrap one for myself! πŸ™‚

Sarah C.

Everything you have shown I love ! I can’t stop looking at all your goods. Just beautiful!
Have always thought you momagramed items are lovely and would love some for my guest bath. And those soap dishes are to die for.
What a great gift!
Thank you

WOW TINA! Wait, you just barely posted this morning and you got 98 comments! YIPPEEEEE! Oh dear Tina, I was alway from Blogland all day; I am taking a writing course on how to write your memoirs! I have tons of “homework” but I am enjoying it so much. On top of that, I have a large Etsy order to fill out for a retailer!

Thank you so much for coming to visit me tonight. You are just a super friend and your comments are truly an encouragement for me to keep pressing on with my first and foremost passion: to write. Oh isn’t it fun to be creative?

THANKS! Marty [email protected]

Hi Tina, I have ordered from your wonderful site a couple of times and love the silver pieces, the trays, and your garden pieces. What I would love to receive would be the huge candle. I can only dream of what they smell like!

Absolutely in love with EVERYTHING on your site. Like others, the soap dish is an absolutely wonderful idea. My favorite are the printed canvases portraying the hunting scenes.

From the store I would adore the “IMPRESSIVE REPLICA VINTAGE TROPHY BOWL/FLOWER BOWL”, which I would use as a planter for dramatic succulents. From the list on this post I think the french kitchen towels or that nifty squirrel nut bowl would be tops! Here’s hoping!
Skip K.

The bell jar lanterns are to die for, but also love the porcelain soap dishes. Btw, thanks so much for adding the prices on your blog when you post items you have for sale. Makes shopping more efficient!

This gets me so excited for Christmas – so many beautiful ideas!! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family – so worth the traveling when you don’t have to cook. I am so drawn to the warmth of the Bavarian bread boards and the dough bowls…gorgeous.

My eyes are all a glow after looking at all the items in your shop trying to decide which one item would be at the top of my want list. I have to say, the cow and bucket, creamer and sugar set, are quite the delight. Because we are a family of tea and coffee drinkers, this would be the perfect compliment to our ‘coffee/tea time’. As for the scrumptious give away, the soap dish and monogrammed soaps would be an additional perfect gift to my son and his beautiful bride to be. Liz S.

Absolutely love the napkin rings..ready to start my own collection. They make a great”what do I give her?” gift. This would really take away the guess work!

Tina, I would to own the Extra Large Cut Crystal Hurricane, CNO5, from your store. It would be so fabulous in any room. And oh, the scent. But alas, I need to focus on gift-giving for my family instead. I really look forward to reading your blog, and the generous giveaway from you is just icing on the cake. Best,
Dotti O.

After purchasing two items from your store (Spanish olive tray and canvas art) I would simply adore another canvas art to accompany the one I have. It brings me such joy.

Your shop is so lovely. And, thank you for sharing your gorgeous home with us. So much inspiration! There are so many beautiful things from your shop, it’s hard to pick! But, if I had to choose one, it would be one of the dough bowls. I would love to fill it with freshly cut evergreens, berries, and candles, and perhaps a few silver balls. Thank you for giving us a chance at your giveaway! Beth S.

Gosh I love your stuff and am happy ou once made a mistake and shipped to Canada(((: and please stop teasing me with all the beautiful things I can not buy from you and hopefully you ship to Canada soon! Hugs z

I would love to receive any of your gorgeous items- They are all just beautiful- The crystal candle compote would be my first choice with the monogrammed soap a close second!

Hi Tina!
Happy Christmas. I am with you on the Black Friday thing– just not my cuppa tea.

I am getting to enjoy my lucky win from one of you giveaways last year around this time, a long, very-lush garland. It’s beautiful! Thanks again. πŸ™‚

Any of the beauties from your site would make awesome Christmas presents. I hope your holidays are beginning well.
