Hi there! I have sooooo missed being in blogland, making my rounds and really missed all my readers! My little getaway was wonderful and I came back to an overflowing mailbox, and lots of orders to get out. No rest for the weary…but I love every minute:) We are off again later today on a mini road trip for the next three days to do some college visits so I am thrilled to share with you a post I had put together a week or so ago, I will be back on Sunday and just in case I do not have the chance to post want to wish everyone a very happy Easter! Next week…..everything goes back to normal!

I looooove cherry blossoms. I can still remember the first time we attended a cherry blossom festival in Washington DC when I was a kid, I was totally transfixed in a way I cannot quite explain. As a young girl, we were also in Japan for the cherry blossom festival and have lots of pictures of my sister and I standing against natures most spectacular backdrop. Perhaps this was the very beginning of my love for flowers and nature in general, without my even knowing it. They are as beautiful and elegant as they are dramatic. Only downside is that they don’t last as long as would be ideal (forever would be ideal).

I  have searched high and low for a very realistic looking cherry blossom and finally found them! I am soon going to be offering them  on  my online site,  under new arrivals. These blossoms are exceptional! Best part, they really do last forever!!

I am also offering up a wonderful giveaway from Madhouse by Michael Aram, the maker of beautiful and sophisticated melamine and paper dinnerware.  Love the line….all details below.

Now onto this wonderful giveaway from The Madhouse Collection by Michael Aram . The giveaway is for a dinnerware setting for 8. Pretty, pretty – I love the botanical and the black orchid plates and adore all the Cherry Blossom pix. I was just saying I need to get to DC and now I need to make sure it’s during Cherry Blossom time.

Gorgious post! I love cherry blossoms and have such fond memories of the cherry blossom festival in Washington in Washington. Our house in Georgetown was a little jewels among the cherry trees.
Keeping fingers crossed for Michael Aram give away.
Enjoy the college visits…I think I had more fun than my sons, visiting schools all over the country…they ended up in Connecticut!

Tina! Glad you’re back! Blog world isn’t the same when you are gone! XOXO You just made me want to run out and get a bunch of cherry blossoms! Love that bathroom with the pink wallpaper and those gorgeous events with cherry blossoms as centerpieces! Breathtaking! I read the story of cherry blossoms and how DC got them to my students every year. Fun post! Enjoy your little getaways!

I LOVE the olive branch melamine pieces. I also love that he has included the twig translucent flat wear.
These images are so stunning. Wow, and the pink room.
I didn’t think you home could get any more beautiful, but every time I see new images, you have done something else. Love the cherry blossoms you have arranged. Just gorgeous.
Have fun on your trip. It seems like we were doing the same thing just yesterday, and Angela will be graduating in May. They grow up so fast.
Happy THursday.

I have missed you so much. Good to have you “home” and like you, I adore cherry blossoms. A trip to Japan when I was on a dance tour 30+ years ago introduced me to this phenomenal tree. Your home is as fabulous as ever and I can’t wait to see your garden in its full glory this summer! May I enter your giveaway?

Many hugs to you, Tina. Have a great trip! Anita

I love the Ocean Melamine Sea Urchin or the Botanical Leaf Melamine. We just purchased a cabin on the water in Maine and either of these would be perfect.
I also just adore Cherry Blossoms, either pink or white. I once had a cherry blossom tree, but now we live in a condo. So it lives in my dreams, but would love to have yours which last forever!! FBoggio

I have a number of Michael Aram pieces. His melamine line is new to me. I like the sea urchin collection best. It has the organic look based on items found in nature that I associate with Michael’s work. I think this design will combine well with any number of other pieces and would be perfect for entertaining on the lanai.

Love the Cherry blossoms! Makes me want to pack up and head to Tokyo. We’ve seen tulip festivals in the Midwest, which are incredible to decorate with too. Wish I could find some realistic silk ones. The melamine is on my last this year, so thanks for posting this company. Don’t know which I’d favor for sure, but loved the playful Lemonwood for a luncheon and the Black Orchid for an evening veranda buffet. I can just see the lights decorated around the garden and a four piece orchestra playing in the moonlight. Shawna B.

What a collection today! I love cherry blossoms. I can’t wait to see the ‘Tina approved’ realistic variety once they make it to your shop. I am a big Michael Aram fan and so pleased to see this new way to make casual special…love it. My favorite is a toss up between fig and olive, I think fig wins! I just tried to purchase a perfect melamine tray…sold out. I will be keeping my eye on these. Thanks again for showcasing another great entertaining option.

Margaret Mcelroy on

I love the Lemonwood china, so fresh and bright. At first I thought they were grapefruit, then I saw
the name, Lemonwood, I am crazy about lemons. I put them in my food, my beverages and use them when I
decorate. Think of William Morris’s lemon wallpaper or Thibaut’s lemon wallpaper.

Hi Tina. I absolutely LOVE Cherry Blossoms. Being in Nebraska, I have to resort to the artificial, and have found some pretty decent ones through PB, although the blossoms fall off; so I am looking forward to your collection. I really like Michael Aram’s Fig Leaf design. I cannot believe how busy you are. Hope you are enjoying!!!
