Hi there…its our monthly “BIO” posts and since everyone is so tied up getting settled into a new season, getting kids back to school, etc…..we decided to make this an easy one for all of us. Its a fun theme and one that never gets old. Fashion. We were asked to choose one outfit from a current fall collection that we just love and one that falls short and explain why. This was easy….I love fall fashion so didn’t have to look far to choose a favorite, in fact it was choosing just one that was the biggest challenge of all. But here are my two picks and why…..

Something I love. This is classic Gucci.  Where would I wear this? To a luncheon, or a business function. I would then break up the suit and wear the jacket with a pair of velvet black pants or even jeans and riding boots. The skirt could be dressed down with a chunky black sweater and tights and riding boots or dressed up with a pair of t-strap shoes and a black lacy blouse.

This really has everything I love. I love gray, love a tailored suit, the way this is a nod to “old fashioned” ladylike dressing and then there is the touch of leopard on the collar….brilliant! I love cools and warms mixed in and this is such a timeless classic.  Love the addition of the chic leather gloves and gorgeous t-strap shoes….perfection.  Thank you Gucci!

And I can see this gorgeous black Hermes crocodile kelly with it……..hey, might as well go all the way! Come to mama…….

Take a look at other looks from this collection…so chic!

Here is my don’t..I mean have you ever? What is this, a blinged out swifter? This is the most absurd pair of shoes  I have seen yet (and please if anyone has recently purchased these, forgive me).  Can you imagine walking into a school meeting with these babies on? I am having fun visualizing the looks of sheer horror that would be on my sons and husbands face if I dared to wear something like this, they would have me committed. And don’t despair, because  for close to $1000.00 they are all yours……….and just think you can keep the kitchen floor spic and span while making your very own fashion statement:)

I am all for fashion representing who you are. It is such a subjective decision to make, what you wear and how you wear it. I do not judge or at least try not to (except when it’s fun). But seriously if someone I knew wore those shoes up there, I would immediately think she is a confused woman, is conflicted by her cleaning duties but really wants to be a mythical goddess hence her bejeweled harem feeling shoes with dust mops at the ends…lol. Guess those are the ultimate “domestic goddess shoes”. Thanks for stopping in and enjoy your day.

As Rachel Zoe says, I D.I.E.
Those shoes are one for the book! Seriously?
They do look like someone wants to cut housework short while they sip Martini’s. :)’s
And the “good” outfit is exactly what I would choose for you. The “upper East Coast” super chic look that can go around the world easily. Yes, a fun post and what a good idea. Thank you, Tina, for making all this possible. xx’s

Those shoes are so funny! I cannot believe that is “fashion” would someone buy them? Hehe, gotta laugh. I love your outfit and of course the croc Kelly is to die for! I also like how you explained you could switch things up to dress up the separates up or down, what a beautiful collection. Fun post.

Oh dear…I will stick to those fabulous suits that will come in handy when I weather starts to chill; these days while battling menopausal hot flashes, our weather is STILL HOT and my classrooms are dreadfully warm. But I can’t wait to snuggle into a blazer and matching skirt! HEY TINA! Have a great day. Anita

Good morning Tina. Haven’t been by in a while now that I am back to working, but always love your blog when I get a chance to visit. I love fall fashion. I love the suit you chose and agree it could be versatile. I love the touch of leopard on the collar, not too much but enough to make a statement. Those shoes are hysterical. I love how you described the person who would wear them, can you imagine! I guess there’s something for everyone.
Have a great day, going to look at your guest post.

Love Gucci! It’s just something special with Italian designer, isn’t it? Always with some elegance!
And – I do love the yellow “swifters” – ha-ha! Just the right pieces for cleaning/polishing our old wooden floor boards in a very chic way! But it wood be sheer horror for Oskar – GRRRHH….. a heavy traumatism, he would pack his little suitcase and emigrant…..purr-purr.

Great post, Tina. Also very amusing!
Have a lovely week, Karin

Gorgeous Gucci suit. I am a fan of their classic line but wish they weren’t so expensive. I only own two Gucci frocks but many of their bags and leather items. I do love that suit and find the shoes quite humorous. That is a perfect example of something that has to stay on the runway, do think your pinning them as perfect for a confused domestic goddess is right on the money! Enjoy your day Tina.

i guess i will have to leave my chartreuse spaghetti flats at home when i come visit you…those are some sassy swiffers! thanks for the reminder about your fall contest. hmmmmmmm.

love to you.

Where in the world did you see those crazy shoes, Tina? I actually want a pair to answer the front door in and watch reactions. That would be quite entertaining. But only if I could have them for free : )

you are hysterical, those shoes, really now!

but you also have exquisite taste tina, well it’s my taste too, if in the budget i would choose them all
xx

Those shoes!! I think they would make one heck of a great Halloween costume, but an expensive one! Love your elegant choices, Tina. Those will stand the test of time.

Hi Tina,
Gorgeous, classic and elegant ……. your ‘like’ outfits are beautiful.
I found that there were so many un-likeable outfits that I found it hard to choose mine. I do think that an element of ‘The Emperor’s New Clothes ‘ comes into play when Fashion Week arrives !!!!
If I wore those shoes, I would trip up and fall over within minutes of wearing them !! XXXX

Thank you so much for the LOL about the shoe mops!!! I’ve coveted the Birkin for decades now, which I thought that Kelly was at first πŸ™‚
Stacy

LOVE that whole Gucci
collection. I like the versatility
of a good suit and haven’t had
one for a long while. In the winter
I seem to go for dresses for church
or tunic and leggings for lunches
out….jeans for errands and yoga
pants for hanging around the house.
There you have it, my fashion reveal : )

Love to you,
xo Suzanne

I am laughing at the shoes, those are so funny, can you imagine actually wearing those out, the outfits on the other hand are stunning and the kelly bag is the epitome of a timeless classic. Love your picks Tina.
