Hi there! What a hectic chock full week I have had….been super duper busy and have not had the downtime I so crave (which means almost no time in blogland). So I am tickled pink about getting to stay home today and finally relaaaaax and just do whatever I please, and let me tell its not much. Ever have one of those weeks where every minute is accounted for? Well…that was my week. Busy making candy sushi for my sons annual fair with eight friends (2 days of work),  Went to a beautiful surprise birthday party at the Union League Club in NYC, dinner plans, all good stuff but I am exhausted! So happy its all over with:) Here is whats happening…..

Excited to have added some gorgeous new pillows which are now up in my online shop. There are pillows and there are pillows. A LOT of new pillows! I do really well with these pillows…and hear so often that good pillows are increasingly harder to find? Most people when they get these, email to tell me how beautiful they are and how much more luxurious they are up close and personal. They are exceptional!

They are overstuffed with  wonderful down/feather pillows, are backed in a luxurious cotton velvet, trimmed in beautiful coordinating trims and done with the best quality hand needlepoint. Really classic and best part is there is really something for everyone. Whether you re in a cozy cabin, a sleek transitional apartment, a refined country home, a coastal abode…whatever style you claim as your own..there’s a pillow for it!!

Many of you loved the new line of capes/wraps I am going to be carrying. I already got orders for these beauties and they will be up on the shop under personal accessories by Tuesday. I always say I only carry what I truly love and would use in my own home/life. I discovered this line almost 10 years ago and treasure the pieces I have, so classic. So in the meantime,  I am going to be offering these at a special introductory price before they go online. So for the next two days I am offering the following deals-

These are made of the finest baby alpaca that exists. As soft as cashmere, they do not pill, and my wrap from them (9 years old)! looks brand new. This is the ultimate in chic dressing and honestly to me, something every woman should have in her wardrobe. These are perfect for when you don’t want to wear a heavy coat, look great with jeans as well as the dressiest dress. I guarantee you will LOVE these!

Crochet trimmed classic cape ( I own this one) I have charcoal, gray taupe and black $275.00

Same cape but reversible! Ivory/beige, light gray/dark gray and taupe/charcoal $345.00
Cape with fringe trim taupe, light gray, black, dark gray $275.00
Knitted handwarmers (love these) ivory, black, taupe, gray$75.00

Fingerless gloves (practical and fun) beige,  black, dark gray, taupe, loden and orange $75.00
As always email me at [email protected] if interested!

Started working on my fall urns by my front door. I have had so little time that they are not yet done but I do love how they are coming out. I must say the statuary line I carry has been AMAZING, not only are they so  beautiful and look like aged statuary  but the fact that I can so easily pick these up with one hand and carry them around makes them extra amazing. I will be adding new styles in the next week. So here is a look at the work in progress…..hope to finish them up today or tomorrow!

These babies are still going strong so I felt bad ripping them out, so replanted them in another planter to let them live out their last days…..

All good things are worth a little mess……

I love all the unusual variations in pumpkins today…..so pretty!

Not done but this is it so far……..

So that is what I will be up today….finishing up the front door for fall, hopefully stealing a few hours to watch something good, I am feeling like an old favorite standby like It’s Complicated or Midnight in Paris or The Horse Whisperer, some movies just don’t get old, and maybe cook up something good, I am craving a home cooked meal:)

Don’t forget today s the last day to put your name in the hat for the Phoebe Howard signed book giveaway! You dont’ want to miss the chance to enter….its one of my favorite design books. Click here to visit the post where you can get the lowdown.

Hope whatever you are up to today, is wonderful and relaxing….thanks for stopping in! Until tomorrow……

The HORSE WHISPERER or Midnight in Paris sounds just perfect for me too, dearest Tina! AH! You too have been so dang busy, it’s hard to think straight? ME TOO!

I love my new teaching job of teaching high school and middle school French. Those teens are fantastic kids and I am very happy teaching LANGUAGE. I’m learning new computer programs and that’s what’s giving me a little stress, but all in all, I’m super happy. We do find out however on the 15th if my husband gets laid off for good.

But yesterday I too spent time tearing out my lovely white impatiens that did so beautifully this year, and replaced my urns with boxwood spears. I dare NOT put out pumpkins because the local squirrels are of the aggressive sort and will eat a pumpkin down to nothing in about 10 minutes! Your arrangements are FABULOUS, and your entrance is as majestic as Downton Abbey! Speaking of which, I will be watching closely this winter!

Wishing you a magical day as you spend time alone, doing what YOU LOVE MOST! Anita

So beautiful…love your urns, you gave me much needed inspiration to get rid of my summer flowers! I love the pillows and capes too, going to go check them online. Those first two blue ones would be perfect for my family room. Love your taste and style. Hope you enjoy your relaxing Sunday, sounds like you earned it.

Lisa

Tina-
Your front door area is just perfect. I LOVE what you have done with the urns!!!
The capes are amazing, and I especially love the fringed in gray. I adore the pillows. I needlepoint, so I truly appreciate the work.
Glad you have a day to rest. We all need time for ourselves.
Happy Sunday.

Tina, your urns look fabulous and new I’m inspired to start on mine…of course it’s still 90 here so I’ve waited o pant my cool weather flowers… I’ve looked in your shop for the larger urns but didn’t see them… Are they still available? Thanks, JoAnn

I love how you did the urns. Wondered if those were petite kales and cabbages? They look so pretty. You are talented!! I do remember you wearing your cape when you came to visit me in Boston~at least I think you did! Well I too am looking forward to a day of nothingness….its good. xo

Happy Sunday to you, Tina!

My favorites of the pillows are the two at the top in the blue-and-creams, how pretty!

And your urns with the small orange pumpkins in them are darling! Loved the purple in one of them, too. Great contrast.
As always you have such a good eye for what looks just right!

The colors of your urns are spectacular! You have done an incredible job, love the variation and color combinations and love those urns.

Beautiful new additions, the pillows and capes are both items I would love to own! I will have to go check them out in your shop. Tina, Midnight in Paris is one of my most favorite movies, enjoy your lazy Sunday.

Melissa

Tina drooling over all the beauty, your urns, the crest pillows, the capes I want two! What beautiful things you offer, I need to start my Christmas list and remind my husband of what a good girl I have been all year!

Tina, I see you got some ornamental Kale, it looks amazing in your urns. You did a fantastic job! What a beautiful greeting you have made for your porch, happy Sunday,
Kathysue

I have been anxiously waiting to see what you have come up with for your fall display. I love it!!! What a wonderful use of all the different pumpkins and gourds available now. Placing them among the mums and greener, such a great idea!

Tina I love your front urns! They look fabulous with the pumpkins and the flower combination!

The new pillows are beautiful! I have to check them out, I can never pass up a pillow!

Those capes look gorgeous Tina… the grey is wonderful…
I might just have to get a bit of fall decorating going in my life… I just love the way your planters are coming together…
Have a wonderful week, xv.

Hi Tina,
Long time no speak! Got my daughter off to college in Scotland and am working on a showhouse in Glen Cove–would love to catch up with coffee. Will be out your way a few days next week-will you have any time?
