Hi there! I have had some crazy week. On Monday woke up with what looked poison ivy (sidenote I have a history of getting very severe cases of the dreadful rash)…so I race to the dermatologist at first sight and am immediately put on heavy duty steroids both topical and oral. However this time within 24 hours I started having a horrible reaction to the topical and its been one miserable week. Living like a leper not leaving the house all week with a fan at my side at all times, was the only way to stay reasonably comfortable.

Only on Thurs night did I decide to not use the cream and took a scalding hot shower to get off every trace and like magic…I felt better. Not 100% but significantly better….and that is how I found  out that I was allergic, started doing research and was floored to see how many have such severe reactions to this stuff! So still on prednisone which makes me feel loopy and a little wacky but the extra burst of energy was a blessing in disguise to finish getting out a rush of orders. On top of all this not feeling great and certainly not looking my best, we are supposed to go to a black tie event tonight! I am feeling pressured which I cannot stand and want nothing more than to stay in my robe, close the door and call it a weekend. To be continued…..

So I told you I would be having a giveaway every week until Christmas and I am beyond excited to announce this new one! We all know Seda France, right? Certainly a name brand that needs no introduction. I have been using their products for many many years.

The maker of some of my most favorite candles in the world. (imagine an Oprah voice saying that)! Their scents are totally sublime, the packaging so decadent and gorgeous that sometimes it feels just wrong to open them! I have been a long time fan of Seda France so was over the moon when I found out that they are expanding into all kinds of new territory. I flipped over the new addition of their spectacular new chinoiserie pillows…come to mama! They just introduced a fabulous pillow line. Filled with feather down, they measure 19″ x 19″ and feature a traditional pagoda design on one side and classic fretwork on the reverse…brilliant!

Seda France was ever so kind to donate not one but TWO pillows as a giveaway! So one lucky winner will get a pair of these gorgeous chinoiserie pillows in their choice of color. How amazing is that! All details on bottom how to win. Let’s take a look at these beauties shall we?

Love that these are two sided….so smart and so classically gorgeous, good work Seda France πŸ™‚

Pretty amazing don’t you think? Which is your favorite color? I love them all but see either the blue or tan for my own home…but how fun would the orange or green be?

Since I have spent so much time in the house here are my musings taken with my iPhone…..

Putting final touches on bedroom selections…love this new tape too…could be a pretty addtiion

I am still determined to find a way to use this mantle….IN LOVE!

The other day when I went to get the mail I noticed  the most beautiful sunset and that coupled with the late season foliage peeking through the front door was too pretty to not capture

Forgot about this Greek key I bought in the spring in Charlottesville! I love it…going to add it to some pillows!

Bought these beautiful tole sconces at a local antique shop…aren’t they pretty?

I cannot believe what they are doing with tile today! These “parquet floors” are tile, indestructible…and so reasonable, we are looking for tiles for a large room in our basement, something that is no fuss.

LOVE my new cutting boards that just came in as new additions to my European kitchen line…how
exquisite are these and a massive 3″ thick!

And love of course the beautiful large trivets…these are the ultimate serving piece for cheeses and antipastas, so pretty!

And the biggest highlight of my week (actually month, maybe even year) is putting in the most magnificent antique Serapi into our library!!! I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS RUG!  More to come as this room comes together……

Now how to win the pair of scrumptious pillows. Just visit Seda France, come back here and tell me your favorite item or scent and which color pillows you would love to win.
If you want a second chance, leave them a comment on their Facebook page (be sure to mention you are from The Enchanted Home so we will count that as an extra chance).

Gee, Tina, you’ve had an awful!! I hope things are improving rapidly so you will be able to enjoy Thanksgiving and the coming festivities. Oh, and the black tie. My daughter recently developed a rash on her face and neck and although we got it cleared up, there was no definitive diagnosis. Feel better!

I followed the path to Seda France on Facebook and Liked. I will go back and spend more time. It looks delightful. Thank you for the lead. Now, I think I would like a green pillow if my number comes up.

~Sami from Pontifical.s Porch

I really love the Classic Toile ceramic 2-wick candles. If I won the pillows, I would love to have the blue and white ones. Thank you for introducing them!

Always feel like I have ADD when I visit you, so in love with everything. Love the pillows, the blues are calling my name, and are perfect for my family room. I love Seda candles and the Viennese blooms is my favorite scent, buy it all the time.

Victoria

Love the 2 wick classic toile candle. Would be lovely in a powder bath. I would pick the wheat color pillows. I love the patterns on both sides so I could flip and get a new look! I don’t have a google account so I am posting anonymous but my email is [email protected]

That rug is incredible. Ditto your bedroom choices. GORGEOUS. Love the picture of your front door with the sunset peeking through.

Seda France is a longtime favorite of mine too. I love French Tulips but see other new scents that I would like to try like Japanese quince and the holiday candle. Lovely line and had no idea they did pillows!

Would love to win and would take them in either wheat or blue, both would work so well for my country french home. Feel better Tina!

Hi Tina, Hope this finds you on the mend – my husband had an experience similar to yours and it was not pretty. As for the fabulous Seda France site, I find that the Toile Single Travel Tin Candle is the most elegant way to take a touch of home with you when you are on the road. Our lanai recently got a complete overhaul in preparation for the winter, (which in SW Florida is the time we use it the most), and I used all the most vibrant Moraccan oranges and paisley patterns. The orange pillow would be my choice. Thanks for the opportunity. I also liked their FB page.

Lovely giveaway. I like the asian pear scent candle. I also liked the Gray Chinoiserie Throw Pillow! Their prices are amazing. Thanks for the chance.

What a great giveaway! I really love the Asian Pear candle and the Brown Chinoiserie Pillow.

A difficult decision, at best…I have several Seda Candles so perhaps it is time for a Pillow…Modern, yet timeless and perfect in my room. BLUE is always my first choice but the Orange would be an up-to-date change…either one a dream..
Patricia Flournoy

I’m crushing on the blue pillows. Lovely post as always, Tina. I do hope that you’re in the pink soon.

Bonnie

I’m so happy to be directed to the Seda France site as the holidays approach. I would love to stock my guest bath with the whole line soap, hand wash, lotion, room spray and candle. The most difficult part will be determining which scent. It would wonderful to add the pillows to the adjoining guest BR, in the gray color.

I hope you get well soon, Tina! And I also hope you can find a way to use that mantle, it is GORGEOUS!!! As for the candle, I love Elegant Gardenia.

XOXO,
The Glam Pad

Tina, I’m so sorry you’ve had such a rough week, that sounds just terrible. Hope you continue to improve, but totally understand why you would want to stay in tonight. I would, too, if I were you. Hope you get at least get a few moments to relax first – maybe light a Seda France French Tulip candle (that’s my favorite), close your eyes and just breath. Take care of yourself. I’ll be sending healing thoughts. XOXO

Seda France is my favorite! Fragrances found regularly in my home (candles, diffusers, hand soap, etc.)…French Tulip, Japanese Quince, Monarch Quince, Holiday & Bois de Canelle at Christmas. I am LOVING the pillows too! I would choose the Brown or Blue if I were fortunate enough to be the winner πŸ™‚

Thanks for such a fabulous giveaway!

Hi Tina, miss coming to your blog and have a lot of catching up to do! What a great post. Love Seda France products and did not realize they now have gone onto home products too. I would love to try Japaneses quince, sounds yummy! For the pillows the gray or blue would be my choice, have just the spot.

So sorry to hear of your horrible reaction, hope if you go tonight you have fun and can try to relax beforehand. Poison ivy is not fun. LOVE your rug, your bedroom choices, that mantle, the boards…EVERYTHING!

Melanie G.

Such beautiful products. The monogram candles caught my eye in the holiday scent. Looking forward to your Chrustmas posts and all the decorating. Valerie D.

I loved Seda’s Pink Pomegranate but they don’t have it any more. Asian Pear is really good too.
I’d love to win the pillows in Black. Great giveaway!

Sooooo sorry you have been sick. . . I see someone mentioned shingles; that was my first thought; glad you are on the mend. The candles and pillows are yummy; I would have to go with green – and you should too with that fabulous mantle. I just know we will see that you have found a way to use it! πŸ™‚
As to candles – love the toile ones.
Happy Holidays! EHB [email protected]

Tina so sorry to hear of your week, miserable but I cant’ think of any house any prettier to get better in than yours! And it looks like you have had plenty of pretty things to preoccupy your time. The bedroom swatches are yummy, as is that antique Serapi, so beautiful. We almost bought one last year at auction but were outbid, still looking. Its my most favorite rug, and yours is spectacular.

Great giveaway, I like the 2 wick candle in ceramic and would love to try the Vienesse Bloom scent, sounds so fresh. As far as the pillows, I would like blue for my daughters room or the wheat for my breakfast room, those pillows are gorgeous and I might buy them even if I don’t win. Good price too!

Feel better, your blog is my fave.

Pillows in blue- and the Quince scent has always been a favorite. Wishing you a speedy recovery, -Maura

Love the Pillows in blue and oh the Lavender candle would be awesome!! I am glad you are feeling better, I have had a few bouts with horrible rashes and steroids myself. I have to watch the face products I use. Love the light through you door, beautiful. Di@Cottage-wishes

My favorite candle would be the Chinese Peony tin. I also love the Destination candles. I would probably choose “San Francisco.” For pillows I’m in for the blue basket-weave! Lovely!

So sorry about the poison ivy issue! My husband gets it like that as well…off to the Dr. immediately! I am DYING over the antique Serapi rug! What a dream! So glad I got to see this post….we are selling a lot of rugs these days and this just made me realize what my true favorites are! Hope you are feeling better already!

This is a wonderful give-away! I just love the Bois De Canelle fragrance in the Toile Ceramic Two-Wick Candle, and the pillows in Brown or Wheat! All are lovely though!

Oh Tina,

So sorry to read about your rash. Hope you are feeling better now and it has all cleared up. My oldest daughter has really sensitive skin too and has had some problems similar to yours.

Your rug is stunning…to die for…I can’t wait to see the library come together. Your home is so beautiful~

Feel better,

Nancy

Hello Tina,
Sorry to hear you were under the weather but glad you are on the mend. I have long loved these candles but did not know they had other products in their line. My favorite candle is Currant Pourpre Jardins du Seda France Ceramic Two-Wick Candle. I love the pillows and the blue one is my favorite with the brown one coming in second. Thanks as always for sharing all things lovely.
Thanks
Sinead

I trust that tour rash and the horrible itches have disappeared. We are all allergy prone in this house to the point where a few members have had anaphylaxis – allergies are something which “can’t be sneezed at”!

I would love any of the fragrant candles, but the Monarch Quince Jardins du Seda France Votive Candle would be my first choice. The brown cushion would be perfect in the study. Unfortunately I’m not on Facebook for a second chance πŸ™
Warm regards,
Elizabeth

Wow Seda France is adding pillows? How fun. I would pick the blue pillows, naturally. Scent wise, I’m partial to anything citrus smelling so the Citron du Sud or the Grapefruit Paradis catches attention. Though the Asian Pear sounds interesting too.

Thanks so much for sharing your new trims and fabric samples. They are some of my favorite posts! And love, love, love the new cutting boards. The shape is so elegant for entertaining.

Sorry to hear you were out of sorts this week and hope you’re feeling a lot better! We saw Seda’s new line of pillows at the NY Gift Show this summer and thought they were great – pagodas seem to be on trend this year. And those cutting boards are gorgeous and we may have to do some more Xmas shopping soon!
