Hi there…its been a very hectic last few days. As you all know my Dining Room Love Contest was launched but not without fanfare (I am being polite). I do not pretend to understand? technology but when I was told by my hosting company, that my site had to be restricted due to the amount of pictures and traffic on my site as its a shared server and was taking up too much CPU’s (like I get what that means) I was floored and needless to say hopelessly frantic.

What started off as a 45 min. ordeal turned into my site being down most of the day on Thursday. I was a basket case as I tried to rectify things as fast as possible. Yours truly got a true crash course in CPU’S, changing name servers, considering getting my own dedicated server, the list goes on….C R A Z Y!!!!!! I could have easily become an alcoholic that day:)

But hoping things are now worked out (fingers crossed) and really praying for blue skies ahead……moving along, very excited to announce two lucky winners. The first winner is the lucky one who gets the gorgeous bag from Splenderosa. Marsha very generously donated this stunning bag and the lucky winner is…….

Result: 51

Karen says (Edit)

Hi Tina! Thank you for introducing me to Marsha and Splenderosa! I have several favorites and her prices are very reasonable. I love the bow rings and I love those blue topaz dangle earrings. Wow!?

Please contact me at [email protected] so that I can arrange for this to be on it’s way!

The next winner is the lucky winner of my Dining Room Love contest. With over 1400 votes (amazing considering that for one of the days the site was down for most of it), these are the results. As stated from the get go, this contest was open to everyone in the U.S. As the prize is a ginger jar it is heavy and fragile so I did not want to take chances shipping it abroad.

Just so happens the room with the most votes was from Switzerland so while we congratulate you as the “winner” I regret that I cannot offer the prize as outlined by my rules. So I am crowning a second winner (who is in the U.S)…..a hearty congratulations to you both.? So our two top winners are…………

The picture with the most votes was this lovely room submitted by Delphine all the way from Switzerland….congratulations!

The 2nd winner is Cheryl….congratulations! Please contact me at [email protected] to claim your prize!!

Here are a few other rooms that were close behind, but truly they were ALL winners in? my book…..

I cannot thank each and every one of you who sent in your magnificent pictures of your dining rooms……how fun and generous for you to let us take a peek! I am honored that my readers all have such wonderful taste.? I will be announcing a new contest very soon and lets just say it has something to do with your favorite pet:)

Moving along.….I spoke recently about possibly the most exciting thing to happen to me yet, the creation of my new custom tole line. I am beyond ecstatic. Yes, it is a lot of work, an investment? and time consuming, but it is truly something I believe in, love so very much and a line that I believe has a place in today’s market.

Custom tole is very expensive, beautiful, timeless and elegant yes….but still quite expensive. I am going to be bringing a custom line of beautiful tole products including trays, planter, tea caddy’s, lamps, and lanterns but at affordable prices.? Production has started and I hope to have my line (getting in about 160 pieces) sometime in June! Of course you will be the first to know all about it:)

One item I am going to be offering is this fabulous gallery tray which will be monogrammed. With two of the companies I deal with now, they charge about $400-595 for a custom tray. I will be offering them for less than half of that. On top of that, I am doing a little “pre sale”……….

I am offering this fabulous custom monogrammed tole tray in a choice of 5 colorways to you for $145.00!!!! I am taking orders now, they will be here sometime mid June.

TTR2222

This is a fabulous piece for any household and a great addition for any entertainer who likes to party in style. Also would make an incredible gift. This generously sized tray is 24 X 20. It is being offered-

Black w/gold monogram and Greek Key

Ivory w/gold monogram and Greek Key

Ant. orange w/gold monogram and Greek Key

Ivory w/ blue monogram and Greek Key

Moss green w/bold monogram and Greek Key

There are two design options- (pay no attention to colors just design)

1. Large monogram in center with Greek Key border

TTR0290

2. Large monogram in center with Plain border

TTR2222

If you are interested in submitting an order, email me at [email protected]. I will take half as a deposit to secure your order and the other half when they arrive and are ready to ship. This is a unique opportunity, as once they arrive they will be $195.00 (still way way less than competitors). I am beyond excited over this line….some really fabulous things are in the works and I know you are going to be equally excited!

So….what’s up for your weekend? I am going to brunch at a hip hotel in the the city and seeing All The Way (with Bryan Cranston, the LBJ story)? on Broadway, anyone see it? I saw Beautiful (Carole Kings musical) on Broadway and enjoyed it very much. I typically get on “Broadway binges” where I want to see everything in sight then don’t see anything for 2 years:).

My oldest son moved into his apt. yesterday!!It was bittersweet, I am soooo proud of him as he is now an official homeowner and then to be living in one of the most exciting cities of all is amazing…..but I miss him already and called him at least 3 times last night. Once to tell him all that he left at home (a good reason to come back today) once to find out what he was going to eat for dinner and one last time to make sure he had enough blankets:) Can anyone relate……

You? never totally let go, this much I am realizing…..boy it goes by fast. So I am happy I have some projects to throw my energies into. Anyway, I am rambling……want to wish everyone a wonderful day, and an enjoyable and relaxing weekend…here we are due to get to the 60’s with sunshine…..so exciting! Until Monday…..

Congrats to your son living on his own! that’s a big step and I love the city! So fun! I saw that your site was down and i said a prayer for you because I would have freaked out too! Yikes!!!! Love your new store itmes! You rock girl!!

Your trays are beautiful, Tina. They would make great gifts!! So sorry about your technology problems. They drive me crazy!! Hope you enjoy your brunch and play. Have a wonderful weekend!

Good morning Tina, glad things worked out, I am sure you were beside yourself. Loved the dining room contest, and hope to enter your next one. Congratulations to all the winners, there were so many beautiful rooms.
That monogram tray is amazing, what a great item to have for entertaining. I cannot wait to see your new line, sounds like its going to be a huge success.
I love how you are constantly adding such beautiful new things, I love all that I have gotten from your shop.
Congratulations to your son too, that was funny about the 3 calls. Yes I can more than relate, its my “guilty habit” to call my kids more than a few times a day now that they are all away living on their own or in college. You will adjust but it does take some time. Good thing to keep yourself busy!

Tina good luck to your son, how exciting for him. I think its great that you are starting your own line, its such a good idea, you are really talented and have style that obvio8sly a lot of people love and look up to. How can it not be a success! The trays are beautiful.

I loved your contest and though my favorite did not win (#3) I see #31 my other favorite was a contender. That was a great contest. Hope you have a really nice weekend.

Good morning dear and COURAGEOUS TINA! After what you had to experience with the shutdown of your site, you deserve a rest. Congratulations to the winners; their dining rooms are so lovely and warm. Wishing you a fun and relaxing day! Anita

I adore the new tole trays…I sent you an e-mail to add me to the pre-order.

I definitely feel your pain with your son leaving the nest, but it WILL be okay…when Caroline moved to DC, we talked about ten times a day. Luckily your son is close by so you will get to see him often.

Enjoy your day in the city…can’t wait to hear all about it! xoxo

Totally agree, the whole server issue is infuriating, as it isn’t explained properly when you first sign up for a site/buy your domain name. Feels like highway robbery to me, charged for this, charged for that, now have to have this other, charged for that and charged for “x” as well! It becomes incredibly expensive yearly for anyone other than a business.

Congratulations to the winners! Your contests are so much fun. LOVE seeing all the different photos and what people have done!

Glad you have such a good relationship with your son. He must love his Mother very much for you and he to be talking 3 times the first night away:)
He will always be your baby. Totally normal to be checking in and seeing how he is doing, and already planning his next visit home:)

This is one time I can say “I feel your pain” on the bandwidth and server issues, for the What Kate Wore blog, not the Princess one. Our expenses in that area for the have been very high, and could well be astronomical with the royals being on tour for 3 weeks. We I have learned a few techniques to minimize the damage, let me know if I can help in any way, it is one dreary element of blogging!!!
I so loved the dining rooms, it was impossible to narrow down favorites, I remember that was an exercise in scrolling up….scrolling down…and back up again, the photos were that spectacular. Your new trays are fabulous!
Sending you a smile for the weekend!

It is bittersweet .. I smiled when you said you called several times. I can relate! It’s okay though πŸ™‚ We see them less but when we do it’s wonderful and you will see him function as an adult .. something that is incredible to see. It’s as if we finally get to see all that we’ve done over the years come to full fruition!! I’ll never forget when my son moved out and sent me a text picture of a dinner he prepared. I thought.. wow! he did it! πŸ˜‰

Sounds like a fun weekend ahead. Brunch and a Broadway show! Doesn’t get much better than that!!

Don’t forget I wanted one of the leather cosmetic bags! Just invoice me ~ Enjoy your weekend!

Congrats on your custom tole line – very exciting and exclusive, Tina! This will really set your shop apart. I remembered one of the questions on your recent survey about setting your shop apart from others. And congrats to the winners!!

Really enjoyed that dining room contest. So many beautiful rooms. Enjoy your weekend of fun activity, you deserve it. It is so hard when the kids flock the nest but you know you did a great job if they are self sufficient and can make that next step, so you should feel very proud.

Tina I don’t know if you take suggestions on ideas from readers but I would love for you to talk about what goes into the planning of a new kitchen. We are building from scratch in the Boston area and would love your ideas for what makes a great kitchen. Your blog has been my #1 source of inspiration.

Honestly Tina, having your server crash and getting your own dedicated servers means you’ve made it, big time!!! You must have soooo much traffic. Proud of you and happy for you. It’s a good thing!
Stacy

Sorry for all your troubles, must have been stressful. I wish my favorite room won #3 but these were both also beautiful. I think its so exciting for your son- who wouldn’t love to live in NYC! Hope he gets the added benefit of having his talented mom decorate his new apt!

Love the monogrammed trays, emailing you now about them, the shop just gets better and better.

Hi Tina,
In spite of the technology glitch, you continue to strive and bring us the BEST in everything! Love all the dining rooms, especially those of your top 2.

Exciting news about your son. Somedays I feel like I’m in the trenches with mine, but I know that one day, too soon, I’ll look back and want every minute back!

I did see All the Way and loved it. What amazing acting and I felt like I got a bit of a history lesson.

Gorgeous trays!!!! Amazing designs, great price?.need to deliberate on which one I’d get!
Happy sun day!!!!
xoxo Elizabeth
