Hi dear friends… I am? in the thick of the holiday hustle and bustle, much like you I am sure. I am totally wiped out, with not a single second to spare. Between decorating, working on design projects, planning a holiday party, gift buying, and sending out many holidays orders, this little elf is ready for a vacation!

This post will be it until Sunday as I am knee deep in finishing up shopping and getting ready for our family Christmas party.? I am relieved that I did my holiday decorating nice and early…because there just don’t seem to be enough hours in the day.? No rest for the weary..that is my personal tagline for this holiday season.

I have put the finishing touches (or so I say at least for now, as I am an unstoppable tweaker) on the house and the holiday decor. Yes, I tend to go big and really get into? it…but why not, its a beautiful holiday and a chance to take down my boxes and boxes of holiday decorations and put them to good use!

It was a bit of a mixed bag, as I still have some of my red themed items,?? I am not one to waste so I put them to good use though my colors have changed over time and I now prefer a more muted, woodsier look, think pinecones, lots of greenery and more subtle colors. Some of these pictures you might have seen, but most are newly taken.

So here is a wrap up of my holiday decor this year, while it was fun and uplifting to put together…it was also A LOT of work! Hope your own planning has gone well, I know all of us “little elves” work hard to make it the best holiday our families can hope for, and despite the work it is truly such a magical season. Give me a great holiday song and all my stresses melt away:)

You will see that there is no rhyme or reason to the sequence of these pictures (didn’t have extra time to work on that) so it’s a bit random…….

All pictures taken with my iPad as my camera is acting up…maybe Santa will decide I have been a good girl and give me one for Christmas:)

Filled this very large dough bowl with about 18 paperwhites and filled it in with fresh evergreen, it’s just about to bloom! Makes a great centerpiece

The mantle has a little Christmas cheer going on in the family room too:)

So there you go. Believe it or not I still have a few wreaths that are not yet hung and need to “Christmasize” my powder rooms for my holiday party this Sat. I just wish I could think of a way to add more hours to my day. Hopefully tomorrow I will wrap things up and get this done…..it is exhausting but so much fun to make magic happen and I love seeing my home all decked out for the holidays.

I am at capacity for my HOLIDAY LOVE photo contest, thanks to all who sent in their pictures. Don’t forget to enter your name into the drawing for the $100 Homegoods giftcard. Click here for all the details. The winner will be announced on Sunday.

Hope your holiday decorating is going well, thank you as always for stopping in, wishing you a fabulous evening. Until the weekend…….

I am amazed and inspired! How long did this take? I am overwhelmed trying to get my own home done and seeing yours has recharged me! I think I need more greens and large pine cones- love that look, it is all exquisite.

Simply stunning! I love the blue nutcrackers- so divine! And finally I got a peek at your Christmas tree and it is wonderful! Sigh. I just knew it would be. I’m smiling over here picturing you still tweaking your home the week of Christmas and having fun with it. And? you have your presents wrapped! Tina, you are ahead of the game! Way to go and have a great holiday party. Enjoy your weekend, if you can. Relax at your party and take in the sight of everyone gathered and happy.

Each room is more beautiful than the next, Tina. Just love all of your decorations and the dough bowl with the paperwhites is incredible. Enjoy a little break from blogging and we’ll look forward to seeing you on Sunday!!

Everything is elegant! Tastefully done and festive… the gift wrap is gorgeous and your gift labels are a great idea! (I’m taking that idea asap)

All beautiful! I have done my own home with pine-cones and greenery as well. Yours is gorgeous! I love the Nutcrackers! Thank you for sharing. Merry Christmas!

Tina, you’ve done a marvellous job and in record time! Your home is gorgeous, wishing you a wonderful Christmas with your family

your wrapped gifts put mine to shame big time! they look gorgeous and too pretty to rip into. while there are so many gorgeous vignettes, i think the entry is my favorite — i can’t imagine being greeted by that beautiful tree just inside the door. love it!

My love, how beautiful you home looks all dressed up for Christmas !!
I’m loving the front the most, love the greens, love that it’s kinda-sorta simple but in an opulent way, you know what I mean. Have a wonderful holiday time with all your family & friends. We’ll catch up afterward and decide on a BIO topic for January. Sending love and a great big Texas hug !!!
Merry Christmas!!

Hi and a Merry Christmas from the UK.
I love the way your home is so beautifully and tastefully decorated.
Just a little question, how do you display your Christmas cards? Here, we still send and receive loads and the dilemma is always ‘where to put them ‘
Hope you and all your family and friends have a wonderful Christmas, and a peaceful and happy New Year.

Good morning Tina! Oh the lovely things we see here…and like you, I have moved to muted tones over the years, so much so that my little tree only has lights on it! But my teacher schedule is wild and this is finals week, so no serious decorating has been going on at the Rivera household!

Lovely tree, your table (I spy those chargers!) and your paperwhites are all so cozy and inviting. I can’t believe how time has passed. I seem to remember how one Christmas you were not in your home yet but almost done with the construction. Many a happy time here in Blogland, following your progress.

Well my friend, I hope you got my reply last night. I will be more than happy with the French script chargers. They are LOVELY! Have fun, and I hope that when you have a moment to rest that you will enjoy every minute of putting up your feet, relaxing and letting everyone who loves you take care of YOU!

HUGS! Anita

Everything is already so beautiful in your home that natural decorations are the perfect touch. And your tree is magnificent! I hope you take a few minutes (at least) each day to sit down with a drink and enjoy your holiday decorations. Those few minutes will help recharge you and let you enjoy the fruits of your labor. Have a great Christmas full if joy and blessings.

Everything looks beautiful Tina! Curious to know how much greenery is real and how much artificial?

SO beautiful, Tina! You really have been a busy elf! I hope you can find a little time to relax and enjoy the season a bit! xoxo

Tina, it looks just gorgeous. No wonder you’re a little tired. Clearly you’ve been one busy elf. I love all the woodsy natural elements – one of my favorite things about holiday decorating is bringing the outside in. And of course you know I’m crazy about all your gorgeous blue and white.

I’m so sorry I didn’t get any photos in in time for your holiday love contest – had then picked in my mind, but didn’t seem to have a moment to spare to send them this week. Oh well, ’tis the season.

And I’m off – lots going on… baking cookies and hosting an open house today, a small dinner party on Friday and a little cocktail get together on the 23rd. Plus a party or two to attend ahead of Christmas. And there are presents to wrap, etc. But you’ve gotta love the holidays and their magic.

Hope you have a lovely rest of the week, Tina. I’m sure your holiday party will be amazing. I’ll raise a glass to you on Saturday! XOXO

PS- even Elves need to put their feet up sometimes! πŸ˜‰

Tina, I’ve said it before? You put Martha Stewart to shame! I love your outdoor planters, the round foyer table arrangement, your tree, your dining room table? I could go on and on. You amaze me!! xo

I am in love with the wooden dough bowl filled with draped cedar and bulbs. And the picture of your front door open revealing the tree at night is so inviting. It is a winter wonderland.

Tina, first off…Happy Birthday!!!! I have been out of town and missed your post! I hope that it was wonderful and filled with lots of family and friends!

Secondly, your house looks magnificent! I love all of your pine cones and beautiful decor.

I hope that you have a wonderful party I am sure that it will be fabulous.

Enjoy every second of the “most wonderful time of the year”, it really is a magical time.

Merry Christmas and blessing for a happy new year.

GORGEOUS my friend I hope you have a wonderful holiday party planned so all can enjoy the festive decor that is abundant in your fabulous home! Have a great weekend, K

Absolutely beautiful, Tina! What a warm and welcoming home. Wishing you and yours a very merry Christmas and all the best in 2015!

Absolutely beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. I love your classy take on holiday decor. I was wondering did you do anything for your stunning staircase…I definitely could imagine some elegant greenery flowing on that expansive banister. And also is there any pics of the library…libraries are my favorite this time of year…love to see the richness of the greens against a backdrop of dark rich wood and of course a roaring fire. I totally could see some old fashion ornaments draped with punches of plaid in your cozy library….

WOW!!
You are not kidding this is a tremendous amount of work, and stunning at that. Love the image of your front door slightly ajar with a peek at your tree….beautiful Tina!
A very merry Christmas to you!
