Hello to all my fellow blue and white lovers and that includes “aspiring” members of the blue and white club:) What’s not to love, I mean come on people, blue and white is gorgeous! I have always loved it but it’s now a near obsession and anyone who knows me will attest to that. I also believe it is a lifelong affliction….one I am just fine to have to live with!

I do get a lot of emails from people who both currently own a lot of blue and white looking to expand their collection and those just starting out, recognizing that they love it but are not sure where to begin.

While I do not claim to be an expert, I do have opinions on it and have sold many hundreds of blue and white pieces so feel like I can credibly, offer my two cents on the matter.

A few of my ideas below-

  • I would say start with a good sized pair of ginger jars, pairs can be broken up but look fabulous just about anywhere, and for larger settings, you can add other elements to create a vignette
  • I prefer antiqued blue and white vs very white and “crisp” porcelain. Typically the antiqued is a little more expensive but soo worth it, and I am talking maybe 15% at most.
  • My personal rule of thumb is always go a little bigger when in doubt. I like to make statements with my blue and white and going bigger is almost always a great idea
  • Invest in a few small planters, flowers both real and faux are breathtakingly pretty in blue and white, and that includes every color of the rainbow
  • There are no rules with blue and white,? truly it works with every single color decor. Any preconceptions you had about needing “certain”colors to make it work, well throw those out the door!
  • You can never have too many pieces:)
  • Over time buy different shades and shapes. Don’t make it matchy matchy…..the idea is to mix things up, I love playing with my deep dark blue pieces alongside my lighter softer toned pieces…the effect is stunning!

So that sums up some of my ideas on blue and white. Below are some examples of how I think it is used beautifully. Maybe it will give you some ideas of your own or inspire you to create a little blue and white oasis of your own.

I just adore all of your blue and white pieces, but the medium bowl planter is one of my favorites! I can see it on my dining table or kitchen table ~ so perfect!

I love all the bowls and planters. Like you, I love filling them with orchids and placing them all over my home.

I love the blue and white basin footbath. What a beautiful centerpiece it would make with a big bunch of flowers inside!

You can never, ever, ever have too much blue and white! When I saw that photo of your mantle on Instagram yesterday, I immediately wanted to restyle mine with similar symmetry but would need a few more taller pieces to make that happen (BTW, did you see that your photo was my sketch of the day on Igram yesterday?)

You have a gorgeous collection, Tina. Golly, what don’t I want from your shop? I’d take a few pieces that I spied on you mantle, like the tall vase in the center… is that the AP 100? I also have always loved the AP35 (think I have painted that one a few times). But I am SUPER tempted by the 14.5 bowl – was thinking that I “needed” another blue and white bowl to use on our dining room table…

Thanks for starting our Friday with some gorgeous blue and white! Hope you have a lovely weekend, Tina! XOXO

Tina I love any of the flat topped Ginger Jars as well as the blue and white Staffordshire Dogs! What a great giveaway. I have the perfect spot to highlight this beautiful piece!

xoxo

Tina your mantle redo NEEDS to be on a magazine cover, that is just the most beautiful blue and white setting ever. That could make anyone a lover of blue and white.
I love every single item in your shop and am the proud owner of several pieces but my newest “want” is the tall character ginger jar. I want a pair and see them filled with big blossoms like what you did. Just beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing your passion.

I totally agree with you about the less crisp blue and white pieces- the subtlety of coloration makes look more authentically aged. That oversized display bowl -101- is a must have

Tina,
where shall I begin?
I could close my eyes and point to any of your beautiful on line pieces, and be happy.
I get so excited when your blog appears in the AM.
I am obsessed as well(as any of my friends could attest)to blue and white.
i would be thrilled to be able to win another beautiful piece to add to my vast collection.
thank you for always putting me in a happy place.

It’s so hard to choose but I would love AP53, the scalloped planter, and then maybe the candlesticks to go with it. The scalloped edges are so unusual.

What a beautiful giveaway! Always love your posts on blue and white. I adore all of your blue and white pieces but would have to say my absolute favorite is the elegant chinese character vase!

I love them all, but the Blue and White SCENIC FOOT TUB just reminded me of my Blue Willow childhood tea set, so I would have to choose it! It’s scene is slightly reminiscent of the same pattern. I’m a boy’s mom, and hadn’t thought about my first tea set in YEARS! Wow! Thank you so much for the memory prompt.

Now I must dig it out of storage and put the remaining pieces on display; it had the sweetest tureen and beautiful cups and cream and pitcher. I think there’s just enough left to make a lovely conversation display.

By the way, am I the only one whom the link directed to the Facebook page? I tried it several times, but it didn’t take me to your shop. No worries; I KNOOOOW the way there. LOL

Hi Tina-
Thank you so much for this helpful post. I too am becoming obsessed with blue and white. I am currently recovering
our family room sofa in blue and looking for accent pieces. If I could pick one piece from your online shop it would be the
Elegant Fluted Planter. This piece is beyond beautiful and would work anywhere and always!
Thank you so much for all your enthusiasm, inspiration and knowledge?it really helps me:)
Elaine

The beautiful oval basin of porcelain ormolu reminds me of spring! And we all need a little of that right now. Love all your blue and white pieces.

Dear Tina… this is not an entry in the contest …too many miles :))

I just wanted to say that I had collected blue and white for most of my life, originally it was how I came to find you….oh happy day
My collection has grown very considerably since then….Im a full member of this most wonderful club, of which you are definitely the President!!

I agree that a pair of something, vases or jars, is so useful. Whether just as they are, or to become vases for many types of flowers to create a beautiful space, really easily and very quickly.
I can hardly wait until blossom time…

Have a lovely happy weekend xx

GREAT post, Tina…especially for me who is just beginning to dabble in blue and white (with you as my inspiration). Your mantel styling is to die for – I literally gasped at its beauty when I saw the picture on Instagram yesterday. My favorite items are the ginger jars – I like the character one. And, I love your blue and white “emperors” – will you ever have them in the shop?

Hope you have a great weekend!! Stay warm (although I think it might be positively balmy around her next week…yay!) xoxo

The thing about blue and white is that it’s beautiful in very formal, or casual settings. Love that Basin Footbath!

Tina, I loved your blue and white planter AP 13 -looks like it would be great for orchids. Also the blue and white trellis planter. I loved pretty much everything. I have a small collection of blue and white porcelain pieces which my Dad started me on back in the 80’s, with a gorgeous plate.

Well, there are so many blue and white jars, that it is hard to pick a favorite. I love them all. But, I especially like AP21, the extra large ginger jars. I just started collecting more blue and white this year when I redid my living room, and really want to get some large jars for the floor on either side of our fireplace. These would be gorgeous.

I love the blue and white foot bath you have right now. I also think a grouping of ginger jars is timeless. I’m also a sucker for foo dogs. Love the turquoise pair you have.
Thank you!!

As usual, you hit the nail on the head! Pairs! That’s what I’m missing! The giveaway ginger jar would fit wonderfully with my AP39 and make a kind of pair. I love AP100, AP102, the Antiqued Hexagon Ginger Jar—oh, just about all of it! Thanks for the opportunity to win a piece of blue & white. Fingers crossed.

Hi Tina – I am also a blue and white lover for many, many years. I do not think you can EVER have too much! I love many of the pieces in your online store. My favorite is the Blue and White Basin Footbath! Thanks so much – I enjoy reading your blog!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE your new mantle arrangement! One of my long-range goals is to visit your beautiful home and just ooh and aah over the gorgeous pieces. Your pics with the new camera will have to satisfy for now.

I have collected blue and white porcelain for decades but just started with antique Asian pieces over the last few years. My two flat top ginger jars on the kitchen counter hold dry dog food for my adorable puggles — another old piece in the kitchen holds milk bones. Such fun!!

It is impossible to say you only like one or two items. I have never met a piece of blue and white I did not adore.

Good Morning Tina, I am hoping to add more blue and white ,as we are looking for a home closer to the water here in So. California!I have one of your planter footbaths between two of your beautiful hurricanes that I love. I seem to be drawn to the planter bowls! Thank you! ~ Sherri Wakefield

Love, love all the blue and white planters…In fact i love everything you have!! I don’t think I ever saw a blue and white piece I didn’t like!!

Tina,

I have been wanting the three emperors for some time now. I would prefer Blue and White for obvious reasons. Also, the scalloped planter is on my wish list.

Earlier this week you wrote about surrounding yourself with things you love. I absolutely fell in love with Blue and White more than 20 years ago when I first was married and establishing our home. As we moved up in life and size of home I continued to collect. However, I asked for the assistance of a designer to help with our new home (about 13 years ago), I regret she did not share our passion for Blue and White and persuaded me to put most of my collection in storage or give it away!

Luckily, I ignored her advise and just stored the pieces. Discovering your blog earlier this year has truly revived my love for those pieces. Over the past several months I have been redecorating our home (it was time.) The Blue and White has returned. I have added items from your shop, just recently, in fact, and will continue to build out my collection. Your photos are inspiration and food for my soul.

Thank You for your creativity and encouragement.

As a floral designer I love all the small flat top ginger jars. They keep the arrangements low enough for conversation at the table and are distinctive enough to sit by themselves. I particually like AP38 and Ap40.
Great selection. Hope I win!
Thanks Tina

Tina,
I never get tired of seeing your blue and white displays. I have had blue and white for years and put it away, for the Holidays I brought it all back out. When I come downstairs in the morning it makes me smile. Love your online shop offerings, hard to pick just one, perhaps the Hexagon Double Happiness Jar is my favorite. Enjoy your blog immensely. Linda

Yep, I am part of the B&W club too;) ..can’t get enough and I agree, ANYTHING goes. I’m loving the BIG chunky pieces with the planter in the middle. Your mantel is just gorgeous and has reminded me that the pieces on my mantel need flowers!

Enjoy your Friday Tina!

Hi Tina,
Blue and white makes me smile! Finding your website and blog was thrilling for me to continue adding to my large collection of antique and reproduction blue and white porcelain. I agree with you, it is timeless. My next purchase just may be your flat top ginger jar with birds. The light and dark blue combination on the jar is so beautiful. Thanks for such a great post!
Susan

Tina, I love everything you have. All your blue and white pieces are my favorites. I would love them all!!! From your shop right now my favorite is the antique reproduction tureen in blue and white. Hadn’t noticed that before and I just love it.

Since I am just beginning my blue and white journey, I would have to begin with my favorites–the blue and white trellis ginger jars. I will be paring them with a lot of coral and reds which I NEVER thought I could do—until I began following your blog!! Thanks so much Tina!

I love all things blue and white. I especially loved the fluted planter and the blue and white footbath. Getting ready to purchase the fabulous bird planter for my bedroom. Love your blog!!

It is hard to pick one piece, they are all so beautiful. I just redid my kitchen, going to all white, and I haven’t added any color yet. The blue and white would be wonderful.

You speak to my heart when you write about blue and white! I have been a collector for around 40 years, oh dear such a long time…maybe longer. There is B & W in almost every room of my house. My breakfast room has a red tartan chippendale sofa with the wall above covered with B & W plates and platters, two B & W lamps and lots of other B&W mixed with different tartans. My bedroom is floral chinz with very lg B&W lamps and from your store B&W pillows on the floral chinz sofa. My living room and dining room have large collections of Blue and White as well. From priceless antiques mixed with dime store vases. I so agree with you that Blue and white goes with everything, from the silver antiques and serving pieces in the dining room to the tartan in the kitchen blue and white is wonderful to collect and enjoy and move from room to room!

My wishlist is long and will not fit here LOL. But I simply have to have those large ginger jars AP 21…plan to gift myself with them soon!

Love all blue and white. Adore the basin footbath you offer.
Your post is always a delight and lovely breath of fresh air.
Thank you!

All your pieces are fabulous but my favorite are your ginger jars, particularly the AP35 ginger jar, which I will be ordering very soon!

Thanks for the advice on how blue and white can be added to any room. I often wondered how I could fit some pieces into my living room which has golds, light greens and burnt orange. I a big fan of your ginger jars. Thanks for the opportunity to win the classic flat top. Beautiful.

I have several of the Blue and white porcelain pieces and love them!! I especially love the Ralph Lauren Vases as the scale and quality are perfection!! Thank you!
Barbara

Hi Tina,
Thank you soooo much for this post. I have a few pieces of blue and white and after subscribing to your blog, I really want to collect more. You do such a wonderful blending everything together. I’m definitely taking your “how to” advice. I look forward everyday to see if there is an email from Enchanted Home! My favorite piece from your shop is the Dragon Jar ($265) ….. and of course I like the Flat Top Ginger Jar, and the Character Ginger Jar, and then there is the large Round Blue & White bowl…and I can’t forget the Ralph Blue & White Vase. So many favorites !!!!

What is not to like about blue and white. I have been married for 47 years and have been collection blue & while for probably 37 of those years. We have sized down to a townhome, but I still love it and when I see a piece I love I find a place for it. I really love the ginger jars as they are so versitile and can be used in so many ways.

I love all blue and white but I especially love the ginger jars and Chinese character jars. I enjoy your blog very much because I am a blue & white nut!

I’m just starting my blue and white collection out, but I love the planters and ginger jars!

Your Blue and White displays are truly amazing. I am LOVING your new camera, it creates such crystal clear, breathtaking images!!!

Tina,

I adore all of your blue & white pieces, & would love to add the scenic antiqued ginger jar, the hexagon double happiness jar, or the fluted planter to my collection! Loved the 101 tutorial today!

Always enjoy reading your posts!
Thanks so much,
Janet

I love the piece you are offering to give away. (Hope I win) But blue and white are my favorite things to use to decorate. By the way, I love your blog!

Wow, i have never seen so many beautiful pieces. I don’t know how to pick a few favorites. The one that spoke to me the most today is a large antique centerpiece bowl on a wooden base. Love the ginger jars too, and your thoughts on groupings. I want to start collecting now. 🙂

Love the foot bath and large bowls! Love it all and love your daily post! So many ideas

Hello, Tina! I’m Tara, a newcomer to your blog and e-shop. I must admit, I’ve always struggled with decorating my mantels – but you’ve definitely inspired me! I adore your style and the blue and white motif really does “match” everything. I love the fluted planter and could totally see that overflowing with orchids in my living room. Also love the blue and white porcelain trellis jars I just purchased and can’t wait until they arrive!

All photos are breathtaking. I need to start a collection! The footed bath would be lovely for white orchids to brighten the winter blahs!

So many pieces that I love. If I must pick a few of course ginger jar is a favorite, fluted planter, very large round bowl. I could go on and on! Thanks for the chance to win this giveaway.

I love all the blue and white pieces, especially the ones that can be planters. In addition, the tobacco leaf planter is another big fave!

I delight in seeing all the beautiful pieces of Blue & White in your lovely home. I have been a collector of Blue & White for many years. One of my favorite pieces is a Blue & White large Punch Bowl. It’s a beauty! I love the Stunning Antiqued Blue & White Centerpiece Bowl. It would look wonderful on my dining room table.

I LOVE THE PAIR OF BLUE AND WHITE STAFFORDSHIRE DOGS. THEY ADD A LITTLE WHIMSY TO THE GROUPINGS OF CONTAINERS AND GINGER JARS. A BEAUTIFUL SELECTION.

I adore the Chinese Character Ginger Jar. All your ginger jars are fabulous, however, this one speaks to me. Do you carry the wonderful dishes your lucky
doggy seems to call his own? I noticed them in one of your photos. Lucky
pooch!

I love love the large bowl for displaying the Flowers in it… I am hitting all the Goodwill stores to see if I can find any Blue and White…. I love it… starting my new collection … shame on you Tina you got me addicted.. love the mantel it is BEAUTIFUL !!!!!
Thx
Karen In Nashville

The Elegant Fluted Planter would be spectacular in an entryway filled to overflowing with orchids, but I have to admit my heart skipped a beat when I saw the Fabulous Bird Planter. So elegant!

I absolutely love the Hexagon Blue and White Planter. Any plant would look gorgeous in it. The size is substantial which makes it a definite statement piece. I also love the Scenic Antiqued Ginger Jar. It is a classic!

Tina, your post today is just beautiful, and your mantle is to die for, for sure. As a collector of b & w, I realize I need something big and chunky. I will have to choose the large, chunky jars from your shop. (That was a tough decision – I want every piece you own). They are simply beautiful. Thank you for giving us another opportunity to win something from your shop.

I love everything in your shop, but today the blue and white foot bath is especially catching my eye along with the ginger jars.

Tina,
All of the pieces in your Porcelain Collection are quite handsome. I believe AP11 and AP54 are not only attractive, but also very versatile pieces. I am very fond of authentic Imari and agree that Blue and white pieces mix quite nicely with the cobalt and persimmon colors in antique Imari.

The blue and white pagodas are fabulous! Also love the bowls and planters–so many places to tuck those. Thanks for the wonderful giveaway–fun excuse to take a look at the porcelains!

Well, I think it’s the platter that matters!! Blue and White Beautiful!! I just spray painted metallic gold branches to put in my b/w jardinieres…and I really am luvin it!! Thanks for the give-away!! franki [email protected]

Thank you for your gracious hospitality here on the blog, and for your wonderful giveaways! The orange temple jar lamp caught my eye today, as did yet another dough bowl, some light fixtures and the beloved napkin rings. This beautiful blue and white jar has a spot just waiting for it. I can only hope…

I love the blue and white tureens. Small or large. I have collected blue and white for years, mostly English plates. Every room has to have some blue & white, even if it’s small. It sings to my heart. C

Tina,

If I had to choose just one, I’d be here all night. I wouldn’t say no to anything you have in the shop, especially the Blue and White Ginger jars. Thanks for sharing another great give-away.
BTW, I just discovered I could pin right from your blog. Nice feature!

It’s funny…every time I look at your shop, I find something new I like! Today’s favorite is the hexagon blue and white planter. Thanks for the opportunity Tina! 😉

I, too, am a fan of blue & white; the combination always looks so fresh. The foo dog fish bowl is extraordinary! And I always like the ginger jars. I have a few pieces that I like to use together for the most impact. Your selection is excellent.

Your shop is so much fun, I could spend hours there. I love all the beautiful planters. So many beautiful things.

Absolutely love your blog…it brightens my day. All of your items are exquisite, but I am especially drawn to the blue and white large ginger jars. Thank you for bringing pleasure and grace to our lives.

My favorite pieces are the foot bath and the pagpdas. I collect blue and white porcelains, also. I really enjoyed the pictures you put together. Thank you for the chance to win the beautiful jar.
DERI

Dear Tina,

My favorite porcelain item in your shop is AP101 Gorgeous Antiqued Oversized Display Bowl. I believe you have this one in your home- it is often on your island- filled with flowers. It is stunning and as you say better to err on the bigger size rather than the smaller size. That said I would love to win something from your shop!
Trudi R.

I have been collecting blue and white for years, and have slowly added a few pieces from your shop. Love love love the large ginger jars. And I agree the ” antiqued” ones are so much better than crisp white! Please keep adding new B&W. to your porcelaines. Just can’t get enough!

Hi Tina…thanks for showing my work…its the 6th image down of the dining room…I would love it if you could give me credit for it….love all your blue and white in your home…so pretty!

How can I pick just one!!! I too have an obsession with all things blue and white. I love the hexagon planter – it would look so beautiful with a vibrant purple orchid…or paperwhites (I like them anytime, not just at Christmas)…or even succulents for a modern twist…filled with lemons…or by itself.

Tina.. somehow you’ve confused your f/b link to your online shop link.. the link you have in your competition line above.. goes directly to f/b.. not your online shop link.. just thought I’d give you a heads up.. xx Jean Wethmar = Cape Lux Travels –
ps.. my fave piece.. any plate.. small..big.. side.. dinner.. serving.. one sure gets miles out them! Imagine vine ripened tomatoes on a stunning blue/white with fresh basil?.. or crispy fried haloumi cheese with green and black olives?.. yes please.. any plate..

I love, love, love the flat top jars and also blue and white lamps. I think those are my favorites, but I love it all! My collection is small but growing. 🙂

First time on your blog, via Maison D?cor..and I love what I see! I particularly love the wonderful collection of blue and whites, all collected in one place.
I could see adding a planter or two to my collections..love this one:
AP54 Gorgeous Hexagon Blue and White Planter
Best regards,Dolores

Good morning Tina!

I have been detained a bit and have not had a chance to come visit, but I am loving the results of your NEW CAMERA that I briefly read about the other day!

Your home MUST go into many magazines. PLEASE!

I just want to come by to say hello, and that I hope you have a wonderful rest of the month of January, to start new projects. I am working on one myself, and now that I am no longer posting blog posts, I hope I’ll have the time to do so.

Wishing you a great weekend, Anita

Wow you have added so many new pieces since I last visited your shop. My favorite is the scalloped edge centerpiece bowl. It would look so pretty on my dinning room table. Maybe I can put that on my birthday wish list. Love your shop!!

Wonderful post on Blue and White. Lots of great tips. I told my friend to read it as she is thinking of starting a collection. It is so hard to pick from your large collection but I am leaning to the umbrella stand. Great for my canes and I can leave it out. Also might be good for flowers on a buffet table. Al so love the planters and bowls. Thanks again for great post.

The tall vases on either end of the fireplace mantle are my favorite, but all of your pieces are so beautiful it’s hard to pick just one! I’m moving to a house near the beach and doing the entire little house in Blue and White…..Can’t wait!

I visit here every morning and this time I was inspired by your new mantel re-do. I have a new antiqued white credenza in my entry that is only 12 inches deep, which is similar to a fireplace mantel. I really like the ivory and gold chinoiserie planter placed in the middle, so I just bought. I already have the same Staffordshire dogs flanked on each side of the planter and I already own the silk flowers you sell. My next purchase will be two ginger jars to go on the each end. The scale of the ones you have pictured look good, but I could not find them in your store.
As for my favorite porcelain in your store, I think it would be the dragon jar.
Thanks for the inspiration!

I ADORE all of your scalloped planters! I have been collecting blue and white for about 4 years now and have amassed quite the collection, I think I have over 100 pieces now. I definitely have caught the blue and white “bug”! Thank you for sharing so many wonderful and inspiring pictures of this gorgeous pairing!

I am a lover of blue and white porcelain and your arrangements are simply inspiring, I have been trying to figure out what was lacking on my living room mantel and now I know. I have a large ginger jar on a pedestal in the middle and 2 of my favorite plates flanking it. You are sooooooo right. What I need is a pair of items. The shape of the flat top ginger jar would be perfect. I don’t know what took me so long. So regardless of the give away’ they are perfect. I have to get them. Thank you so much for giving so many ideas on how to arrange my treasured blue and white. Every time I look at mine, it makes me happy. Therefore it is in every room. 🙂

Ginger jars remind us of near and far. My children are from Asia so I love to have asian insired items around. Blue and white are my favorite.

Thanks.

I love all blue and white and have been a long time collector. Your pieces have the right finish! I love the scalloped planter and the fish bowls. I use the pieces for so many things I can always use a new one! I appreciate all the inspiration I find on your blog for using blue and white! Julie L.

All of your blue and white pieces are beautiful, but I especially like the ‘Extra Large Magnificent Ginger Jar’ and the ‘Elegant Fluted Planter’.

Looove this giveaway. Oh heart be still! At this minute, the elegant fluted planter is probably number one, but then there are those gorgeous ginger jars, especially drawn to the Chunky Foo Dog Antiqued Ginger Jar. I could even find a place for the little blue and white cup. It’s all good and I can always find a spot. Thanks Tina, and have a great weekend!

I came here by Pinterest and was delighted not just by finding your blog but seeing all the beautiful pieces you have in your shop. Personally I would love to take one of the silver buckets or planters and fill it with the faux peonies you have. I love the look of silver against a vintage wooden piece! Your lighting is gorgeous! I especially like the Tiffany Bell Jar. I know we only needed to mention 2 pieces but I absolutely have to add a comment about the Porcelain section. Every single piece is stunning! My favorite is the orange and white pieces. Your article and your store have inspired me to go ahead and add a few pieces of elegance for my home, thanks to “The Enchanted Home”. You have impeccable taste and really you can’t go wrong with a single piece!

I love it all! You can never have too much blue and white. I’m crazy about the light turquoise foo dogs too. My favorite pieces in no particular order are all of the small, flat top ginger jars, and the Classic Chinese scenic jar.

Love it all, especially the light turquoise foo dogs, small flat top ginger jars and classic Chinese scenic jar

I love decorating my home in blue and white. It reminds me of my family’s time in Tokyo and going to all the Shrine sales. I have my eye on the footed planter and would love to see it on my dining room table. I also love all the flat top ginger jars. Thank you for having a beautiful assortment of blue and white to choose from.

Oh wow, I love all the blue and white but especially the large bowls and all the planters. Thanks for a chance to win!

I have loved all blue and white porcelain as far back as I can remember… You definitely have a beautiful collection of porcelain in your shop! I have always been very fond of the covered ginger jars; but, I must admit that I am really drawn to the large planters/footbaths on your page. I especially love the AP54 large scenic planter/footbath. It would be a joy to own any of these pieces!

Hello Tina, Like you I love blue and white. I have a small collection of these beauties that I am looking to expand. You inspire me when it comes to decorating my home. I love all the blue and white pieces, but i would love AP54 and AP55 Ginger Jars.

Wow……..I love all the blue & white jars & planters . Just beautiful !! I have currently have one ginger jar that I bought from an estate sale …..love it !!! I need to save my money to buy more ! I just love your home and your style .

I love the oversized Ginger Jars and would love to add them to my very small collection. Your mantel shows the versatility of owning a blue and white collection, too. Thank you for the inspiration.

Hi Tina!
I am a newbie ! I just love the Ap45 round blue and white bowl! It has so many possibilities! It would look stunning with flowers or even simple winter fruit with herbs in it! Just starting to decorate!…you are inspirational! Love your blog!
C.Marie

I too, am a blue and white lover, perhaps an obsession of mine, and have been collecting for over 40 years. I use blue and white in every room of my house! After years of using a lot of color in decorating, blues, greens, pinks, and oranges. I am in the process of going to a more neutral palette, but with pops of blue and white. I notice that you have a neutral palette in your home as well, so lovely and calming. I feel that I NEED this calming in my life at this time.
I love the scalloped bowls, they hold flower arrangements so well, but all your porcelain is lovely! I would be delighted to own yet another piece of “blue and white”.

I am a beginner at collecting blue and white pieces for my kitchen decor….appreciate all your suggestions and pictures on your website. Would love my home to look decorated….had a designer but she failed to make it look decorated.
Anyway, wanted to enter the promotion you are having….loved the beautiful open flower jar vase in the porcelain shop. Actually love all the pieces….also love the planters that you suggested to start a good collection.

Regards,
Sonya

Tina, I recently moved into my almost forever home. We hope to be here until my little one graduates high school (he’s just 2!). I am a huge lover of toile, blue & white, trays and EVERYTHING Pagoda! I read your posts daily and am so motivated to start my blue and white collection, but can never decide on the perfect starter piece. I get overwhelmed with all the fabulous choices. With that being said if my better half said I could pick anything from your store Id have a hard time choosing between the blue and white scalloped plates that would look fabulous on my mantle, a planter for my dining room table and the porcelain and metal tray. Thank you for the daily inspirational ideas and love of all things pretty. Happy Sunday!

Hi Tina. I am just starting to transition from earth tones to blue and white thanks to you and your blog. Your house is simply amazing! It is so difficult to pick my”favorite” piece, but I would have to say that if I had to choose it would be the large ginger jars, that awesome foot bath and the umbrella holders. See I couldn’t pick just one!

Hola from Miami, I raise orchids but for some reason I never thought to arrange them in a blue and white bowl–always use straw baskets. I love your medium blue and white planter bowl! Just perfect for orchids! Thanks for your fab blog.

Hi Tina,
Your collections are to die from…better than any store I have been in!!! I have to say i love all the ginger jars…the hexagon one is very, very interesting….your collections should be photographed!!!

Tina, just love all the ceramic pieces. The foo dogs are great in combination with the blue and white jars and vases. I also like the Imari bowls….the Chinese red with the blue and white is stunning! Thanks for sharing your personal home design creations – you inspire us!
Cheers,
Melissa

Dear Tina,
First it was so fun to look and drool over so much blue and white porcelain in one place! I would have to say the Beautiful Medium planter was my favorite because I can picture putting flowers from every season in it. It would be a striking centerpiece.
Thanks for the opportunity to win!
Linda

My husband and I are in the process of purchasing our first home and I think the Hexagon Blue and White Planter would be an excellent addition! Thank you!

I just love the Imari bowl, but also love all of the flat top ginger jars. Such beautiful pieces!

Dear Tina,
I love your new mantle design. It is beautiful. I would like to start a blue and white collection and your giveaway piece would be a great beginning. Right now your turquoise foo dogs are very appealing to me.
Thanks for the opportunity.

Just love both umbrella jars. I’ve never bought such large pieces of porcelain. The AP102 square ginger jar is very pretty.

Like so many others I love all of the blue and white.
But, some that caught my eye are the beautiful footbath, the ormolu dish
and the blue and white vanity box with lid. All are lovely and anyone
should be happy with any of them.
I so enjoy your blog and check in everyday to see if there is a new post.

Thanks for the opportunity to have one of your lovely pieces.
JK

In my dreams . . . give me the blue and white footbath, for iced champagne served by my footman.

I love the Dragon jar,2 of them would be spectacular!!!! i am a collector of Canton antique china and reproductions to mix in,blue and white has long been a love of mine!!!! i so enjoy reading your daily comments, thank you very much!!!!

Love your blog. I find it inspiring. The blue and white porcelains are all beautiful. I find I am drawn to the ones with the ormalu. Thanks for sharing.

So many beautiful pieces! I especially love the the dragon jar and the classic Chinese scenic jar. I also have my eye on the umbrella stands.

Your blog makes me happy! The photos are always beautiful and inspiring. I am slowly incorporating blue and white into our home decor. The ormolu dish and umbrella stand 1 will be perfect additions.

I love everything you have, but I especially like the Imari Bowl. It has all the colors I have in our den and would be beautiful on the coffee table. Your posts are so inspirational!! Thank you for sharing your joy!!

Love blue and white! My 2 favorites in your store is the Scalloped planter and the vanity box. Lovely!!!

How can I choose?? There is not one thing I would not love! A large blue and white lamp would be special, thought! Thank you for all the inspiration.

Hi, Tina. I am new to your blog. I LOVE blue and white porcelain, I have an entire guest bedroom in blue and white! I particularly love your wine buckets/ tubs and your ginger jars.

I have been collecting dragons for over 40 years, so I would choose the jar with the dragons. Thanks, Tina, your blog is so elegant and you write really well.

Hi Tina,
It’s so hard to make a decision, but I do love the extra large hexagon ginger jars.
All of your pieces are gorgeous!
2014 was a bad year for me health wise. In May I had a five level lumbar spinal fusion which was a complex surgery and a long difficult recovery. Still doing PT.
But then October first, I fell while getting out of bed and fractured my wrist and humerus. Had surgery on both which was horrible with this recovery being worse than the fusion. Going to PT four times a week.
The reason for telling you this is that through it all, my escape has been reading your posts. I just love you, your style and your impeccable taste.
Thank you so much for everything you do and share with us.
Hope 2015 will be your best year! Stay healthy! Linda

I love the Foo dog fish bowl. I collect blue and white but would love a large one to use as a planter. The one you’re giving away is also lovely – I like the ones that look old.

Hi Tina,

What a difficult task … I almost had to close my eyes and point. I love the AP13 large Planter Blue& White but also the 16″ footbath I can envision filled with White orchids or hydrangeas. They are all so lovely and I enjoy seeing all your amazing blue and white displays in your home. Thank you for the chance…I would love to win the flat top ginger jar!

Decisions, decisions….so hard when it comes to blue and white porcelain. On your site, the two porcelains I like the most are the Elegant Fluted Planter and the Dragon Jar. So many beautiful pieces you offer….decisions, decisions!!

I love all of the blue and white pieces but the one that stands above the rest for me is the basin footbath…gorgeous!
Sharon

How could I choose just one. It is like asking me which is my favorite child… Impossible! But I do momentarily feel drawn to AP 54 GINGER JAR

Hi Tina, I just love all of the blue and white pieces that you carry, and trying to chose just 1 is close to impossible, but I do have a soft spot for the dragon jars. I do have a few blue and white pieces in my house in fact a beautiful ginger jar from Mexico that is just beautiful. Such great pieces you have.

I was just looking at the porcelains yesterday, thinking I might want to start out with something blue and white and was thinking of a ginger jar. So classic. I love your character ginger jars. Wow. Gorgeous. So, I’m going to browse some more, but thank you for saying to go bigger rather than smaller to start. I tend to start out too small.
You have so much to choose from, Tina. Amazing shopping!

I love the Ginger Jars on your mantle and the large planter with the orchid, just stunning.

Oh, they are all wonderful, but my favorite is the “Gorgeous New Ginger Jar” and so it is!

I LOVE all of the blue and white in your shop. The oversized ginger jars with the foo dogs on top and an umbrella stand are calling my name though!! I have just the place for both, and the foot bath, and the fish bowl, and the medium plant and the square jar…:))

Your blue/white post a two years ago brought me to your blog and I have always enjoyed the blue/white posts every since. Your graduation outdoor affair was ‘a dream’ to be sure.
Be thrilled to win your giveaway.
A footbath or medium planter would also be lovely but in essence I have a full house but a ginger jar I can find room for.
Bless you,
Sylvia Faye

Love the ormulu dish! It would be perfect for keys on my entry table among larger blue and white pieces, or by the kitchen sink for my rings. Maybe I need two…

Tina,
all blue and white pieces are really beautiful, but my favourite one is the fluted planter.
Thank you
claudia

Tina,

There is not one piece that I don’t like!! If I had to pick a favorite today, it would be one of the planters. Would absolutely love to win the little ginger jar- so sweet!

Thanks,
Susan

Hi, Tina! If I had to pick it would be a large planter, so I can showcase my beautiful orchids! Adore your blog, your shop, and YOU!
Have a great Monday! – Kristin

Oh my! There are so many gorgeous pieces in your shop, it’s difficult to choose! My very favorite, though, is the Hexagon Double Happiness Jar. I received a happiness jar as a wedding gift (31 years ago), and I think it would be so lovely to have another as a guarantee for the years to come 🙂 I also love all of the foo dogs; how could you not? Thanks so much for an awesome giveaway (and blog)!

Hi Tina, While I love anything blue and white, I have a particular fondness for ginger jars. I covet the 23″ tall Foo Dog antiqued scenic jar and also the scenic foot bath. I imagine the foot bath filled with fresh cut peonies in the spring!
Linda

I love them all!! I would love a pair of the large chunky happiness ginger jars for my bamboo desk and the large blue and white planter…so beautiful!!

My passion is flowers and blue and white. I’m happiest when I have fresh flowers in blue and white porcelain around my home. My favorite ginger jar is the antiqued jar with the birds. I also love the character ginger jars.

So much to love, but some of my favorites are the Blue and White Floral Tea Jar Lamp and the Large Blue and White Round Bowl.

Oh Tina – what is not to love in your store!! But if I had to pick one blue and white – I would go with the fluted planter. Truly stunning!!! The beauty of blue and white is that it works with almost any color palate. My home is mostly burgundy and I love how blue and white ginger jars complement the deep reds of my upholstered furniture. So gorge – you can’t go wrong with blue and white!

I love ALL of the Blue & White, but my current favorite is the BLUE AND WHITE BASIN FOOTBATH-love the detailed handles!

As always, so enjoyed your post and thank you for the wonderful give-away!

Oh my goodness I have always loved blue and white porcelain. It is just about the most classic thing a person could collect. But somehow I only own one small piece and have collected majolica, Roseville, and pink hand painted porcelain. But I’m feeling a change in my future and your blue and white porcelain is starting to call my name. I love several of your pieces. Like the elegant fluted planter, basin footbath and the vanity box with lid. But my favorite would be the porcelain trellis jar.

Thanks Tina for sharing your love of blue and white porcelain with us.

Such inspiration with your blue and white directives. I find looking at your photographed designs really aid me in my presentations. I find blue and whites are calming to me and enlightening in color and spirit. Your blog always offers me a day’s worth of visual uplifting. I love the scenic footbath and the ginger jars in blue and white. I also am considering the blue and cream Staffordshire dogs. Thanks for your blue and white tutorial.

By the way Tina, what’s your rules of thumb in “pairing” unmatched pieces in a presentation? By size, similar patterns, height? Will you please share your ideas in a tutorial? I realize you prefer doubling up in pairs. I have only a couple duplicate small ginger jars , but have the larger pieces in individual blue and whites, solid indigo and Blue Delft. Thank you Tina!

Tina,
Thank you for the giveaway and what an excellent post.

Blue and white is gorgeous and classic. I’d have to say my favorite is the ap 54 ginger jar, and I also love the large bowl to place on a kitchen island.

Kindest regards, Laura

Hi Tina.
Thanks for the wonderful give away! I love the blue and white footbaths and would love to use one in my dining room. I’m also partial to your blue and cream Staffordshire dogs. I bought some from you a year or so ago, they are on my living room mantle.
Thanks again,
Dawn

OMG- very difficult to choose a favorite! All are beautiful. If I could, I’d take pairs of each! Loving all of the Ginger Jars, especially the “Character Ginger Jar.” Although my next purchase should probably be some hexagonal shaped jars- like your “Hexagon Antiqued Jar.”
Would LOVE to win your flat top Jar! Love it!

Love, love, love the ORANGE AND WHITE CACHE POT PLANTER and also the scalloped planter. Both pieces are gorgeous.

Tina – I love your impeccable taste! Love the footbaths and ginger jars in the porcelain section of your shop.

I love anything blue and white , but the hexagon happy jar made me smile! Indeed, a happy jar!

I really like the Cathay Multicolored Chunky Ginger Jars and the Blue and White Tissue Holder!

I LOVE anything blue & white but I especially love your ginger jars & footbaths! Reading your beautiful posts is how I end my very busy days – always a pleasure!

They are all gorgeous but I think one of my favorites is the elegant fluted planter. All of the foo dog (dog foo?) pots are beautiful too. I’m so happy to know you sell these!

I love love love that magnificent extra large ginger jar, and oh those turquoise foo dogs! A lady can dream, right?
Best, Dotti

Welp, I guess I know where to send everyone for my birthday presents this year! Your mantle is AMAZING… If only I could have ALL of it… AP18 and the Foo Dog Ginger jar are my favorite! I came across your site on pinterest and I am definitely following your blog now- I need to start collecting all of the blue and white! fingers crossed!

Tina, your collection is extraordinary! If I had just one choice, it might be the Scenic Ginger Jar. I very much enjoy your blog!

Hi Tina, I love blue and white to the extent that I have both a blue and white kitchen and bathroom. Needless to say, this is one of my favorite blogs. My current favorites in your shop are the footbaths. Such versatile pieces!!! Thank you for sponsoring this giveaway.

Love all of your offerings, but I’m taken with the chinoiserie melamine dinnerware and serving pieces! Would be so great for outdoor dining when spring gets here. Great giveaway.

Tina~ With So many beauties, it’s hard to choose just one! So we must collect, right? I love the AP21 covered jar. It would be a great addition to any collection.

I love all of your blue and white pieces. I have been collecting for quite some time. It’s hard to pick a favorite piece, but I love the blue and white staffordshire dogs.

Hello Tina – I’m a “newbie” when it comes to collecting blue & white but I have loved it for 35 years. 35 years ago I went to The Netherlands as a nanny for a year and couldn’t afford to bring anything back except a 2 inch circular dish. I love the porcelain trellis jar. If I won that piece it would add height to my small collection as you recommend. Thank you for all the great tips & photos. Your foyer is magnificent!

Everything is so breathtakingly beautiful! I think the Chunky Ginger Jars are my favorite.
