Good evening friends, hope you had a great weekend. Ours was so nice, relaxing and lots of fun. From boating to dining al fresco at a friends beautiful home, we ended it last night with a glass of Rose sitting at a family members new home on the water. A great weekend indeed and beautiful weather.

Yes you heard right from my title, I went back to the market and I just can’t seem to stay away!! This place is such fun, there is such a wonderful energy and it makes me feel like”a bonafide insider” which of course is always such fun….hey, a girl can dream!

So I went back partly because I just love flowers so  much and secondly because I  was doing some photography for my new site, and it was a great excuse to go there. These pictures don’t need much narration, a peek “behind the scenes” at some of my favorite stops and then what came home with me and how I used it all…..

After a few days I was desperate and determined to maximize my investment so turned down (way down)  the AC in my pantry area and turned it into a makeshift greenhouse, lol. Kept the peonies by a very cold air conditioning vent, worked like a charm, they lasted 6 days which for peonies seems like a lifetime:) So I was able to use the pictures for the planned photography-

YIKES! I can feel the excitement Tina, as you share all my FAVORITES – but this year, the peony has to be my main crush. As I see your collection of pinks, my heart just soars! Goodness, you are having fun, as I too am enjoying the gardens around the city and even getting a few free bouquets from obliging and generous neighbors!!!

Love your pinks coupled with your blue. Magnificent! Enjoy your evening, Anita

Maybe perhaps a girls gathering at the flower market some day. Just need a little notice to jump on a flight. : ) Beautiful. Can’t wait to see your photos and new site.

Can you tell me where I can find a round green trellis tablecloth like/or similar to yours in the first tabletop photo? Many thanks!

Tina!
Sooo very beautiful!
I too, would love to inquire about the the 2 vases on your kitchen counter…haven’t seen them in your shop, yet?

I agree with Sheran about the vases….will you be carrying them at your shop anytime soon?

Can anyone visit the market and purchase or do you need a tax ID for a floral business? One good recommendation to your website visitors is to research local farm/floral CSA’s. In CT there are a few that will sell local flowers in bulk for arranging or you can get pre arranged bouquets every week. Cheers!

Your followers should know about Slow Flowers. com It is a blog that has listings of local growers all over the U.S.

Tina,
Did you know that you can keep peonies fresh for up to 6 months? I just watched the tutorial on Martha Stewart’s website last week.
Good to know if you have an event at the end of summer & you’d like to have peonies that are at they’re height of perfection. Buy closed buds, trim the ends & wrap the entire cluster in several layers of newspaper. Refrigerate. -OR- You can slip your flower cluster through a protective plastic sleeve (like you find in the floral dept at the grocery store), trim the stems & stand in a vase with several inches of water. Refrigerate.
The info came from the owner of “Peonies Envy”.
Enjoy your beauties!

I bet your home smells just glorious with all these fresh flowers!!! The closest we get to a “flower market” around here are the $5 grocery store bouquets!!! Gorgeous as always Tina! Blessings from Missouri!

Thank you for taking me along on your trip to the flower market, what an inspiration! Your photos gave me so many ooooh and ahhhhh and wow moments; I could almost smell those peonies. Your blue and white collection is the perfect way to really show off these stunning flowers.

i cannot imagine shopping for flowers in a market like that! in my sleepy town, there is zero selection so it is important to grow thy own blooms. thanks for bringing us along, friend. peace.
