Hi friends and happy Sunday to you. By the time you are reading this I will be on a plane to somewhere warm, tropical and relaxing….I have been going non stop, particularly these last few months and both my husband and I  desperately need this hiatus.

I will return end of next week so have a few posts scheduled in the interim, fingers crossed they post on time. This way you don’t have to miss me too much:)

As I do every Sunday, I share with you seven things on my mind. So  here we go…..

1 A BLAST FROM THE PAST. I remember channeling my inner bronze goddess self when I was in my early 20’s and thinking I was an ultra sophisticate because I used Bain de Solelie…gotta give credit to their genius marketing team “way back” when PR was nothing compared to what it is now. And lo and behold the iconic gelee is making a HUGE comeback. I loooooove that smell and it just brings me back to a great time in  life.

So for this trip, became a little obsessed about getting my hands on some. Had seen it in The Hamptons but it was sold out, then I looked on Amazon, couldn’t get it on time, then found out Walgreens carries it. I started frantically calling, they were all sold out, finally one said “just sold my last 7 yesterday” then said hold on, let me see if there are any left and lo and behold, 2 little tubes were on the shelf calling my name. Who would have thought!

And yes mom I know your eyes went straight to the SPF 4, have no fear I am using this ON TOP of my SPF 30:)

2. TOO CUTE! This little boy is so sweet, funny and adorable….love that Ellen flew him in all the way from the Philippines just to preform and his dancing is sure to put a smile on your face:) This kids going places…….(please wait till after the interview to watch his moves, too funny)!

3. A TOMATO TART YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS. I love tomatoes and this time of year, they are bursting with vine ripened goodness. I had a bunch from a trip to local stand and they are proof of life’s simple pleasures. Came across this amazingly good and quite simple to make recipe for a tomato tart. Not only is it delicious but its also very pretty and the perfect thing for a lunch or an extra dish at dinner. Click on Girl vs. Dough for recipe (gotta love that name)!

4. INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST Never at a loss of amazing things to share. This week was overflowing with beauty and inspiration of all kinds…and I imagine with the holidays only months away, it will just keep getting better. Of course always love to add a few little cherubic kids in for the cuteness factor-

5. THE HOLIDAYS AT THE ENCHANTED HOME SHOP. I am just starting to plan for the holiday season. Of course the biggest headline is my beautiful collection of blue and white ornaments, if you missed the post on them click here.

I also going to be getting in some spectacular florals and holiday themed arrangements…all very elegant and timeless. There a number in the works as we speak but here are a few so far-

Love this, such an elegant duo…I can see a pair on a console, dining table or fireplace mantle offered in black/gold and ivory/gold

How stunning is this!! I am getting two for my fireplace mantle in my living room, love the combination.

6. MASCARA ALERT! So I told you about a mascara from Sephora that I loved, and I did really fall hard for it then I kept hearing from friends that tried to find it, that it was old out everywhere. And sure enough that is the case, even on line. I don’t know if its discontinued or they are just whipping up one great big batch but out of sheer desperation I bought another Sephora mascara that the girl talked me into.

I will say at first I thought it wasn’t up to snuff but now that I have been using it a few weeks, I actually really like it and think it might very well be the same formula. So this one I too am recommending, it is reasonable, goes on great and doesn’t clump..works for me! Click here to read all about it.

Good morning Tina… so glad that you are finding the time to get away with your Mister. That tomato tart looks positively delish. More wonderful Instagrams to follow. Love those pale pink cushions and blue and white table. Enjoy every minute of your time away!!

I have to say that you are a big part of my Sunday mornings! Thank you! I do so enjoy sitting down with my cup of coffee and reading your Seven on Sunday! Have a fun getaway!

Thank you for the great mix of topics……..

Just like my vitamins, I must have a dose of Enchanted Home.

As the garden is finishing its bounty……..I’m looking forward to fall………..love the topiary with pears, pine cones, dried oranges and sisal……so transitional, Now for the bowl of green apples………..

I still want a TEDDY FOO DOG ornament……………..please

I really look forward to your posts, especially Seven on Sunday. Thank you for bringing so much beauty into the lives of so many!

Enjoy all the lovely things you show us, however, please remember the flood victims in Louisana. Many of them have no flood insurance and have lost everything. Please make a donation, if you can. Thank you!!!!

One of the benefits of an empty nest? Going away with your love during the school year! I’m trying not to be jealous. Your florals are so pretty; I know I’ll have to buy one of the ones you pictured. And please sell more of your ornaments! I promised to never buy another Christmas item ever but I’m going to. Yours are too lovely to pass up. Have a wonderful week and enjoy that Ban de Soliel!!

The humidity and mosquitoes where I live (MN) has kept me indoors all summer. It might sound odd to say but I’m looking forward to Autumn so that I can finally leave the house.

Tina – you are my kindred spirit — I almost could smell the Bain de Soleil while reading your Seven on Sunday! We have a mutual love (and I think friends) down on Lido Isle and also my love for Rogers Gardens in Newport! Come visit us with your ornaments (which Rogers would be a perfect place for ’em) and also they now have a restaurant opening, Farmhouse, farmhouserg.com! Perfect place for a Fall visit and display your ornaments! Love your style and outlook on life, raising boys (men) and mascara — bella vita!

Boy did you give me a blast from the past with the Bain de Soleil! I too loved that as a teenager. It was great because it had a tint in it that got you looking tan without even trying. The Filipino boy was so delightful! And, I made a similar tomato tart but using pastry dough instead of filo dough. It is wonderful. Enjoy your getaway! Safe travels!

One of my favorite memories of the summer was my trip with my husband to Nashville and Franklin, TN for our 25th wedding anniversary. Thank you again, Tina, for the wonderful post about your trip and for taking the time to help me with our plans. My husband and I had a wonderful time. We can’t wait to go back!! I will be forever grateful to you!

I hope you and your husband have a wonderful get-away! Safe travels!

Another great Sunday post- Happy Labor Day’! Hope wherever you are the weather is beautiful …. I am so happy you included the link for the tomato tart otherwise I would’ve been emailing you for it . I cannot wait for fall though I will miss boating which is a huge part of our summer . That little boy is just too cute! Have a great and well deserved trip!
