Hello and happy Sunday….finally starting to feel like spring after a dreary, cold rainy few days here in NY.  FINALLY! Hope you are having a great weekend, things are good here especially now that the sun is shining.

Heading into the city today and have a full schedule, but a fun one:)  After busy chock full work weeks, I love my Sundays, to pretty much do as I please. Here we go with my Seven on Sunday…..

1 WONDERFUL VALIDATION FOR MY BLOG/SHOP. Two things happened lately with regard to my blog/shop that really validate what I do and why I love it, and boy, did it make me feel good.

My blog was nominated for best blog in the interior design category for the JDR Industry Awards!! So exciting, if you haven’t voted and like me, really really like me, perhaps you will want to vote for me? It only takes two seconds (literally). Click here to vote

Then I was given a heads up by many readers/customers that in the April issue of House Beautiful, I was mentioned as being a “go to” source for blue and whites by renowned designer Gerald Pomeroy. What a validation!! Thank you:)

2.THE ULTIMATE RIVER CRUISE. River cruises have become a big deal. Well, a new boat is in town and it is most definitely going to be the grande dame of river cruises! Say hello to the S.S. Joie de Vivre which will soon set sail the Seine.

It almost looks like something out of a James Bond movie, and is undeniably very luxurious. Though I have never personally had any interest in going on one, this amazing vessel could well change my mind.  Click here to find out more. Luxury overload….

3. INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST. So much beauty this week, it was hard to narrow it down. I love the daily inspiration I find on Instagram, here are this weeks picks-

My favorite this week is this beautiful picture, this is Sharon Santoni’s house in France, looks right out of a storybook!

4 A NEW ESPADRILLE I AM IN LOVE WITH. Found these and love them, so much so that I just ordered them in another color.

They are leather so really comfy and allow your feet to breath. In fact I will be wearing them on my jaunt to the city today. They are the perfect daytime shoe with a slight wedge, love these!! Click here to see

5 PILLOW FEVER. So I have had a bunch of pillows made for a variety of reasons, clients, a concept house and then of course a few for me:)  The reaction when I shared them was tremendous so I am excited to announce that we are going to be offering them up for sale within a few weeks time. I love them all but think this first one might just be my most fave…I mean come on, a ginger jar trim, does it get better?

This is a striae rich soft velvet with a thick ginger jar trim, will be offered in five velvet colors

The famed Bali Hai from Quadrille is a classic and gorgeous in both green and blue. Excited to be offering both.

6.GLOPRO. I have been hearing a lot about this and I feel like every time I open a magazine,  it’s being talked about. Read an interesting article in Vogue not long about  the newest rage in skincare,  Micro-needling is a new concept to me, but I am intrigued. Anything that triggers the natural exfoliation/rejuvenation process gets my attention!

So I took the plunge and this much buzzed about gadget is on its way,  would love to know if anyone has used  it? A friend of mine got hers a week ago and said she can, after only a few uses see her skin looking better…sounds like a good testament to me. Anyone else? Click here to learn more....

7 SUNDAY’S SEVEN. OK, this week is about reading. I used to be a pretty voracious reader. I used to also have the luxury of a lot more time, and I am going back to before technology and gadgets took over our lives. I also belonged to a book club which i loved and anticipated every month. Then all kinds of things happened and I feel like I hardly read anymore. Yet, when I do finally settle into a good book, Iam reminded of the power of getting lost in a really great novel.

Vacations always meant loading up on books and often I would read 2 or 3,but now I have my iPad and instagram and Words with Friends and all kinds of other outside interference invade. Or maybe it’s a late stage of ADD or maybe just maybe this is a trend in which I am not alone. I think I need to allot a certain amount/period of time a week to devote to reading and try and stick to it as I would any other appointment. So tell me which best describes you and reading…..

Anything here get your attention? Thank you as always for stopping in, wishing everyone a wonderful, beautiful springy day and hope the birds are chirping wherever you might be. Until next time….

I don’t know if it counts that I have switched to electronic books. I have several kindles and find it easier for travel, plus they all have internet access. One has a big enough screen to comfortably watch movies. So even though I still read I use gadgets. LOL Evidently it has even taken over my reading habit.

I love to read books but as a small business owner I find I don’t have the time unless it is a book regarding business. I still buy books though and have been storing them away so that I can read them someday…thats my plan for retirement, to relax and read!!

So excited about the pillows! And of course I voted for you, also saw that mention in H.B. what a nice surprise that must have been.
I also used to read a lot but went back to work since my youngest is heading to college, play tennis and gold and just don’t have the time that I used to. When I get to my bed at night, I am too tired to open a book but do use a Kindle on occasion when there is a book I really want to read, which is very convenient.
Also love those espadrilles, such a practical and cute looking shoe, would be perfect for our 2 week getaway to Italy in June. Have a nice and relaxing Sunday, Tina.

I also read as much as I can, but have switched to using my kindle or iPad to download books to read. They are easy to take with me on trips and I always have a book downloaded and ready to read. I still attend my book club every month and love discussing books with them.

My husband and I and our best friends are taking the Joie de Vivre on a river cruise to Normandy on April 21st. Seeing these gorgeous pictures just heightens my anticipation……..can’t wait!

I’ve gone to audio books! Downloaded on my phone and ipad- I can listen to books at any time and any where!!!

Dear Tina, every time you post wardrobe items I always love your choices. I feel like I could walk right in your closet and make it my own. I surprise myself at how often I end up ordering and loving many of the items you showcase, including the darling espadrilles of today. Funny you also mentioned Uniworld Cruises, as I happened to post about Uniworld’s S.S. Maria Theresa on my blog today. We will be sailing her down the down the Danube soon on our 2nd Uniworld cruise. I highly recommend this company, which was voted the best river cruise company in 2017. Enjoy your Sunday! XO

Hello Tina and Fellow Lovers of this blog! I, too, just happily voted for you. What I love about your blog is that you are not just marketing but SHARING other hints and ideas as well. I am an avid reader of all types of subjects and devices. Because of access to so many tech devices, I think I actually read MORE than ever. I still pick up a hard copy mag or book now and then…but via the various methods available today, I’ve covered more written (and audible) words than I would have thought possible. Love it all. Hard copy books still precious to me…but I no longer clutter my home thinking I have to hang on to EVERYTHING. I find pleasure now in passing some of them along to schools, libraries, and other sources where I feel they will be used to teach reading to adults or English as a second language. I love decorating with books and I have plenty. But nothing makes me happier than knowing I might be helping someone else experience the pleasure of reading a book held in hand.

Hello dear Tina… I hope NYC is getting them same weather as we have – nice and sunny! Yesterday was the pits. Love the shoes – planning on ordering a pair. I am so interested to hear your review on Glo Pro. If you like it I will order one. I heard a lot of hype but don’t know anyone that has one. Hope you enjoy your day in NYC!!

I too enjoy the electronic world……..but have stopped and realized that it is a modern day addiction of sorts………..and I have now conscientiously limited my electronic life to rest my eyes from all screens.

Don’t get me wrong………I love The Enchanted Home ………and a few others…..but I was overdoing it…..

I love a good book or magazine, hand held…..feeling the pages……..devouring the graphics, but see the usefulness and economy of the kindle.

Just finding my way between the two worlds.

I’ve been doing micro needling for about one year now. It has transformed my skin. I had it professionally done about twice to three times per month and it made a huge difference. I may try this and compare the two processes.

My husband and I are hooked on audible, we listen to great books when we drive.

Hi Tina, love the pillows. Have you found any outdoor fabric that reminds you of these? My porch gets lots of Southern sun!!!

Tina, I too am an avid Enchanted Home reader, read only your blog!! Have ordered several things from you shop and have been so thrilled. Would love to know what you think of the new GlowPro, I am very interested if you think it is worth it and you see good effects. Also what products you like to use with it. Thanks Linda

Those pillows are amazing! I voted for you and can’t wait to hear the announcement that you have won.

Good morning, darling Tina! Just found your blog through Pinterest and I love it! I adore this Sunday concept! Looking forward to getting to know you and following along. Xoxo ?

I use Audible now as usually fall asleep when reading. Audible books are very good for multi tasking. You listen, get lost in book, and do your chores. Before you know it, 8hours have gone by!

I “read” more now than ever before. I am hooked on the Audible app for my I-pad. I “read” books now while I sew, wash dishes, iron, clean…..I take my audio books on car rides too!!! I also listen to free classic books at LibriVox.org. I can’t wait to do hated chores now!!!

i will have to look more closely at glopro…wonder if it is like dermaflash which i have and which feels like a hummingbird kissing your mug…true! the espadrilles. yes yes. hugs to you. xox
