***A NOTE ABOUT THE NEW WEBSITE– So I had posted on Friday that the new site was due to go live Friday night, which obviously did not happen. There were some final tweaks that needed to be done and we wanted to be sure it’s A-OK,  so we are aiming for tonight/tomorrow. Just giving you a heads up, this is not an exact science by any stretch but keeping you in the loop**

Hello! Very busy weekend here but it’s been a fun one, a few parties with another one later today. Not the greatest weather weekend but hopefully today the run will subside and give all the dads out there a little sunshine.

Today I want to wish every single dad out there a most happy Father’s Day! To my own dad, love you so much and am so grateful and honored to have you as my dad. I am continuously inspired and amazed by you and am still learning from you every single day, you are one amazing super hero in my book:)

To my wonderful husband…you are an incredibly kind, compassionate, unselfish and devoted father. Our boys are so very lucky to have you and I hope you have a wonderful day today, relaxing and doing as you please. I promise to make it as perfect as it can possibly be:)  And to all the other dads out there, sit back and try to enjoy a little pampering:) Onto my post…..

1 THE FOODS OF SUMMER Oh I so love summer for many reasons but especially things like farm stands, vine ripe “still warm” tomatoes, juicy peaches and picking fresh basil from my little garden, I could go on! So Sunday we had an impromptu out of town guest and I whipped together a spread of summer goodness.

Started with a fresh platter of yummy fruit, then we barbecued chicken, sausage and vege burgers. I made my favorite corn, cucumber and tomato salad, a baby arugula salad and Ina Garten’s summer pasta (though I do not use angel air, it gets too mushy and clumps) I much prefer a smaller denser pasta like a rigatoni or a penne. It was the perfect summer meal!

2 SILVERWARE!! SO excited to have gotten this in, been waiting a long time. Even prettier in person and yes, dishwasher safe, has a great weight to them (not at all lightweight). Very impressive if I can say so myself:)  They will be for sale in about a week or so, so stay tuned!  Even prettier in person……want to take each and every pattern home with me:)

They will be sold by four place settings and all include a salad server set in each pattern-

PAGODA

BAMBOO

EQUESTRIAN

REEDED BALL

And finally these best selling chargers are back!

And while we are on the subject of new arrivals, check out this version of a new Provence planter I just developed! I think its gorgeous…would love to know your thoughts-

I am considering getting these done in ivory, black and one other color, need you input on both on how you like them and a good third color-

3 A BAKERY AFTER MY OWN HEART. OK, this bakery, Maman NYC  and I are meant to be. ANY bakery that serves all the hot beverages in these magnificent blue and white cups has a fan in me for life. And incidentally I am going to the city next week and plan to make a stop…AMAZING!! Click here to visit Maman NYC.

Look at this pretty picture right when you click on their website-

So charming!

And check out these cups…LOVE!

4 INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST Seems a lot of my faves this week have one theme in common..summer! And why not, it’s a season that inspires on so many levels. Take a look-

And my fave this week is this because well, it’s a great reminder of all the things we should practice to be and this little list is so inspirational-

5 ESPADRILLE ON SALE ALERT! Recently snagged a few espadrilles, one of my favorites shoes to wear all summer long. Both of these are on sale and worth scooping up if you need a comfortable nice looking daytime summer shoe-

6 FEEL LIKE A QUEEN I have started to shop (online) for various dresses, we have four weddings (one got canceled)  and other dressy events this year so I am looking for a few gowns.

I have come across a few showstoppers, if one of my sons were getting married I would have taken the plunge on one of these magnificent creations! Every one of these beautiful gowns were found over at Moda Operandi, click here to take in all the splendor-

7 SUNDAY’S SURVEY Today is all about movies and actually going to a theater to watch one (or not). With the era of Netflix and Amazon Prime, it seems movie theaters are not quite the bustling industry they once were. I have been pretty disappointed in the dismal movie selections and often opt to watch an oldie but goodie or catch something from home. Very rarely do I go to the theater anymore, kind of sad 🙁

The last movie I saw was Paris Can Wait and it was sooooo boring. I so wanted to love it and that movie reminded me of how much Hollywood needs to step it up. I WANT them to give me a reason to want to go back into the theater!! I love any excuse to indulge in a big bag of popcorn (one weakness I cannot give up)! So how about you, what’s your feeling on going to the theater to see movies these days?

Anything here get your attention? Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday and again a very happy Fathers Day to all the dads out there! Thanks for stopping in and making me a part of your Sunday. Until next time….

COMING UP THIS WEEK-

Brand new AMAZING porcelain presale on the July container (tomorrow or Tuesday)

Teddy takes over

I actually look forward to my Sunday mornings because I love sitting down with an iced coffee and your blog! So much to love, the new flatware and planters are just beautiful. Yes to both.
Your outdoor spread is so pretty, I love the idea of using blue and white outdoors and think I need to expand how I entertain ala Enchanted Home.
Those dresses are works of art. My daughter is getting married Dec. of 2018 and I think maybe it’s not too soon to start looking haha.
Hope you have a great Sunday Tina.

Always love your Sunday morning posts!
As for wedding dresses, the weddings I see at clubs and vacation areas are more casual. I think some of the dresses above (the pink and the black) are too revealing to wear as Mother of the Bride or Mother of the Groom (okay, the bride wouldn’t forgive this if MOB or MOG drew all of the attention away from the bride 🙂 ).
Movies today are disappointments and clearly show how Hollywood has no clue as to what kinds of stories real people want to see.
As for movie theaters, many of us have our own big screens and excellent sound systems and don’t want to put up with cell phone noise, people talking during movies, excessively loud movie theater system volume (we are not deaf nor do we want to be)…..so we stay away.
It takes a lot of imagination and hard work to produce an extremely interesting blog post every Sunday, and you hit the mark each time! Thank you!

The bakery looks fabulous! I love their abundant use of blue and white. I believe the name is “Maman”, however…only one n. That’s short for “Mother” in French. I saw “Paris Can Wait” yesterday and enjoyed it. Being a confirmed Francophile, the countryside, cuisine, and language were enough to keep me interested throughout. Plus I’m a Diane Lane fan.

Can’t wait to see this website Apparently going to be something, it should be anyway. ???

I’m hoping the recipe for your delicious looking corn-cucumber-tomato salad on the site somewhere.?

All your summer salads look delightful, Tina, and quite doable. I don’t require recipes for them so long as I can see your pictures; that way, I just make it up as I go along. That said, nobody makes a chicken salad like Costco! Shrimp, too, but mine is just as good.

Beautiful summer gowns like the ones you posted would be perfect for an evening wedding in a big city, or to the opera or ballet. Alas, “out here” in Eastern Washington, I’d be laughed out of church (or snickered at behind my back) if I dared show up in one of these. Nonetheless, I love them all except for the black. Save that one for a cocktail party on the courtyard. I have a couple in black-and-white polka dots–rather revealing, but my husband doesn’t think so. 😉

P.S. from Jo ~ Are those your heirlooms tomatoes from your garden? This early in the season? Wow

Interesting pill on the movies. I refuse to.go.anymore and have not been for years. The quality is usually abysmal, the cost is astronomical and I’m angry that actors that get millions for possibly 6-8 weeks work feel they have the right to lecture to the rest of us on environmental, political and environmental issues of which they have no expertise. They live behind their gates with security and bodyguards then lecture us. No way will I pay to support their lifestyles.

I love your blog, it is so inspiring. I am in need of a Laundryroom remodel. I want to do the stackable w/d. Any suggestions on must do’s for this space. Would love Yorke thoughts.

OMG!!!! I love those gowns at Moda Operandi! Would make a girl feel like a princess. Love those Espadrilles too. They look so comfortable. I’m going to go order a pair now.
