Hello! Hope you are having a wonderful week. Is it really August 1st!!!! I cannot believe it, back to school seems to be in full swing and fall is not far away. Let’s make the most of this last month of summer, because it is now going by really fast.

I like to periodically shaare with you life’s happenings as seen through the lesn of my trusty little iphone. I have to say it takes pretty amazing pictures and I love that it kind of tells a story all on its own. So here is life in the last two weeks or so-

Coming home from a farm stop, my purse and sunflowers:) Some of you noticed this bag in another picture and asked where it was from. I got it from Ferragamo in Lake Como, Italy. Do not think it was offered here but not sure…all I know is I love it and it’s even more special since it’s from Lake Como:)

Love getting giant fresh sunflowers! Here made two arrangements, one for me and one to take to someones house for dinner

Set this table with my most favorite mini silver tabletop lamps, we will get more in time for the holidays (in Sept will get another shipment) These work with votives and have a special shade with a ring which sits on top of the glass votive.

Added these pretty little jars with fresh cut hydrangeas to my powder room

My new favorite fragrance, Rose de Grasse from Aerin, it is heaven!!

Took a picture of my dining room to show a new client my window treatments, she wants to do something similiar. I love the simple taffeta billowy panels with a wide Samuel and Son velvet tape/trim on the leading edge, a classic and timeless look

Busy day at the office getting orders out from the newly arrived and long awaited original blue and white melamine that was sold out

Bought these incredible hydrangeas in the Hamptons…aren’t they magnificent!

I like my ivory/gold Staffordshire dogs with this arrangement

Was sourcing some lighting for a client and found these two beauties! Left is Edward Fields and right are Ralph Lauren sconces

How fabulous is this trim from Clarence House!

Love any excuse to set a table with my chargers and mini silver table lamps

Stunning display of tapes all in my favorite color combo from Schumacher

When I go to someones house and take my guacamole, found this is the best way to do it. I get all the ingredients and put them in a bowl but don’t actually make the guac. The avocados are ready to scoop out but don’t do it until I get there. By squeezing a good spray of lime juice over them keeps them green until ready to make! Also made my bruschetta, ones of the easiest and most delicious appetizers if you ask me (with or without bread)!

Isn’t this a beautiful view (sister in. laws home) it is so peaceful!

My NY design project is starting to really come along and is turning out so beautifully. Working on window treatments, pillows and accessories now as we wait for the last of the furniture to arrive

So love these newly reupholstered chairs in Scalamandre and these fabulous pillows we had made

The antique console is getting installed…it is so perfect for the space!

Library carpet got installed, cannot wait to see this gorgeous lacquered room furnished, it is really spectacular

Love the rug (Ralph Lauren) and this fabulous cocktail ottoman from Century

About a year ago a dealer who dealt with authentic Venetian mirrors was closing his business after being there many years. I had the opportunity to but 6 of these beauties at unbelieving pricing. I have stored them knowing I would use them for myself or for clients. Just unwrapped a few as we will use one for my clients dining room…forgot how gorgeous they are!

My shrine aka hallway of blue and white…always changing but always has blue and white to enjoy:)

Beauty overload! Your flowers and home always make me feel so inspired. Your clients home is spectacular! Love these fun posts, where I get so many great ideas.

The NYC apartment is stunning. The living is so light and airy even with the dark wallpaper. Beautiful!!
Sunflowers are one of my favorites.

Everything looks beautiful! I cannot believe it is August! Where did the year go? Love your sunflowers!

Thank you for sharing all the beauty that is in your life. I want to be your sister-in-law. How lucky she is to live in such a beautiful spot!

I have been wearing Aerin’s Rose de Grasse for several years now & LOVE it! It is my signature scent & I always get so many compliments when wearing it. When I first spray it on, I feel like I am in a beautiful rose garden.

What beautiful post today!! Loved viewing them all!! I think it’s time for some Melamine!!

I love the blue/white Ralph Lauren rug in your NY clients apt. Looking for something like that but under $1500 (8×10). Any suggestions?
thanks!

As pretty as your sister’s home is, I love the views you have from your windows. Something about green and trees and a freshly mown lush green lawn is so peaceful, and you have the lucsious windows from which to view them.

Great idea on the guacamole! Everyone loves mine and often ask me to bring it, never thought to do it that way, thanks for the tip. The apt. you are working on in is so beautiful. What a dream of an apt for that lucky family.
