Oh boy if there’s one word to sum up this week, its overwhelmed. We had multiple shipments arrive at the  time of holiday gift wrap, ornaments, silver, chinoiserie tole and today a massive container of blue and white! Yes, we have never been busier and I am grateful to my team of fellow elves in getting things out as fast as humanly possible. Only downside, somethings gotta give and in this its my holiday decorating and my sanity lol.

I look on Instagram and instantly want to cry when I see so many homes fully done down to the perfect  warm, holiday cookies coming out of the oven,I am lucky if I can mange to open a store bought baked chicken and consider that a success:) Not a wreath has been hung, no garland and even my nutcrackers haven;t seen the light of day and are still in the attic, but I am forging ahead and know somehow it will get done even if later than ideal.

You can bet I learned a lesson this year….no more will I judge those who start planning the holidays right after Labor Day, they were right all along! Anywho moving along to the positive and pretty from this last week, here is a snapshot into my week so far-

Made this beautiful arrangements of large white roses in one of my silver planters, loved it so much was tempted to keep it but it was going to someone who’s house we were going to:(

This is what most days look like, you know why I go to sleep thinking of brown and white boxes!

One of the highlights of this holiday season having these gorgeous stockings made!

The beginning of a dear friends tree….guess where she got her ornaments:)

After one long stressful day walked in to find this incredible care package from super talented Mary Catherine, what a sight for sore eyes! Click here to see Mary Catherine Calligraphy, her work is stupendous!

How did she know I needed gift tags!

These beauties came in and were going out to two lucky customers…tempted to keep them:)

Stopped by another friends house the other day and had to take a few pics of her super charming holiday decor!

Did a little trial run of my Christmas dinner table, and loving it with all the fresh greens (will be using different napkins, these were a stand in)

Left work early one day, went to my local nursery and picked up these beautiful amaryllis and paper whites in my back seat (they are now in the garage where its much cooler) and where they will not bloom so fast, this way they will be perfect for my Christmas party and Christmas day

My hodge podge front door, kind of represents how crazy life is right now. A fall wreath still on my door, my faux pumpkins from Oct and 2 lonely little wreaths, evidence of my abandoned attempts to holiday decorate my front door, haha. Give me a week, it will get done, in the nick of time:)

I have the best team….walked into my office and there was a whole spread of presents, cupcakes, bagels and fruit for my birthday tomorrow. THANK YOU!!

So, in short it was a hectic week but a very productive one. It is serious crunch time over here but the important thing is we are getting it done! I have a full plate this weekend but forging ahead.

Tomorrow is  my birthday and I will be taking the day off and maybe even turning my phone off:) I need a day to unplug a little and make it a “me” day. We all deserve that at least once a year, don’t you think!

Hope you are enjoying and most importantly pacing yourself during this very busy, hectic time of year. Thanks for stopping in and again, a big congratulations to Alison and Susan! Until next time……

PS Since there are lots of people out there still decorating and wrapping, we have extended the gift wrap and ornaments sale one more day as we catch up on invoicing. Ends tomorrow. Click here to see the details

Starting Friday morning a special gift purchase, great chance to score some fabulous silver serving pieces for holiday entertaining! Click here to visit shop.

Happy Birthday, Dec. 14th. Enjoy your day. My son was born on the 13th of December, 30 years ago. We brought him home from the hospital Christmas Eve. The best Christmas gift ever ! I’m sure your Dad and Mom were thrilled the year You were born too. Busy time of year for You but we have many blessings to be thankful for. Merry Christmas to You and Your Family AND your Special Elves (helpers, angels). ??

Happy Birthday Tina my darling!

I hope your day is as wonderful and fabulous as you are. Enjoy some relaxation, you most definitely deserve it.
Just to make you feel better, this little elf across the pond has all the ingredients for the most beautiful front door wreath … as yet unmade… and still decorating my tree, just a little each evening.
Its far more fun to hope our white amaryllis bloom on time, than wonder if everything else will fall into place:) …You know it always does, with a sprinkling of your stardust

Sending fondest love on your special day
