Good morning! Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend. Though ours did not turn out  quite as we had planned, we salvaged it and on Easter I finally was feeling better so we ended up having a very nice family day. Thanks for all your kind comments and well wishes.

Moving along, today is all about tablescapes and our new contest, Tablescape Love. I hope you have had your coffee, because you are going to really need to concentrate for the task at hand.  You are in for a major treat, we got in so many incredible entries and regrettably, had to turn many away as we were at capacity.

I even increased it from 40 to 42 pictures per round but still could not make room for everyone. Good to know this is such a popular subject, you can be sure this is not the last of the tablescape contests:)

So many winners here if you ask me, the only downside being that it is going to be really hard to narrow it down to your three favorites.  There are 2 rounds of 42 pictures each, where you will vote for your three favorites in each round (one today and round two tomorrow). On Thursday, we will have our showdown round and on Friday a grand prize winner will be announced. You will need to take your time with this, so sit back, grab a cup of coffee and maybe even a pencil and paper and take in the beauty!

Thanks in advance to all who sent in their beautiful pictures as well as to everyone who is participating in voting. Without further ado, here are the contenders for round one, enjoy!

No one said this would be easy! I always think it’s easier if you kind of imagine sitting at these tables, which one would you most be excited about having a seat at? There are so many amazing pictures but a few real standouts to me so I finally was able to choose my personal top 3. Good luck to all the entries and to those voting! Be ready for round 2 tomorrow.  Thanks for stopping in, until tomorrow…..

PS Our second day of our garden/floral sale is on, so many fabulous new arrangements, click here to see the sale

Beautiful table settings. Great ideas. When a table is set beautifully it makes your guest feel so special.

You are right! They are all great…I can’t decide….all so lovely and so many clever ideas…they are all winners…

I’m disappointed in you Tina. Why would turn at least 10 away when you have that many duplicates? 11 & 4, 14 & 6, 21 & 12, 24 & 5, 29 & 25, 33 & 34, 35 & 31, 37 & 19, 38 & 1 and 39 & 8.

I have no dog in this race, as they say, so my comments are just observations: First of all, there are so many beautiful tablescapes and so much creativity displayed… Bravo to all those that entered this fun contest! I am surprised that some of the frontrunners are ones that used paper napkins, as opposed to cloth. Also surprised by the ones that didn’t incorporate any flowers or greenery (fresh or faux). If, as a follower named Kristine commented, some people didn’t get to submit because there are some choices that are merely alternative views of the same tables… well, that would be a shame. Looking forward to seeing more tables, as they really are inspiring. The contest is a great idea, Tina!

I picked table 37 with all the kids around the table having a great time. Although table decor is nice, there is nothing better than family and friends enjoying a meal around the table. That is a gift!!

Wow so many beautiful tables, I am officially inspired. My favorites are #8 as a first place, I am in love with that table! Then 1 and 5 as close seconds, but very surprised with #5 such a beautiful centerpiece and they use paper napkins?

I love setting a pretty table and wish I had entered but we were traveling. Can’t wait to see who wins and round 2 tomorrow.

Many beautiful ones. I know you are fair and square Tina but some seem to not have paid attention to your beautiful examples of how important lighting is. Why would someone send in a dark picture when everything looks so much better lightened up.
I love the simple elegance of #41 and being a francophile love the mini Eiffel Tower:-)

All are lovely and reflect how much the hostess cares about her lucky guests. I agree that it is a shame to turn away entries when duplicate photos of the same table are included. Also that splits the votes a single photo would have received and doesn’t give a true reading of the vote count.

Hey Tina, so happy you are feeling better and were able to salvage Easter. Both my boys ended up with strep on Easter so don’t feel too bad.

I am reading over some comments- I think people need to R E A D. You said that someone could send 1-2 pictures, if they wanted to send the same setting different angle, that is what some (including myself) did. We followed the rules. I cannot believe how some people are complaining. Maybe they need to get their act together and send it in on time if they want to be included!

Now I am done ranting and have to say though I do love my pictures and would be honored to win, I have stiff competition, there are many incredible pictures here and I am getting all kinds of good ideas! Thank you for holding this contest, always fun!

I agree with another poster on here. There are photos of the same of the same tables twice, just different angles. Is that fair?
One same exact table photo is in the contest twice.

Each one is inspiring for different reasons. Every tablescape should add to the pleasure of the people at the table, which means having enough room to put down a glass without knocking something over and being able to see and converse with the people across the table. That being said, the entries all look beautiful in the pictures. Lots of talent displayed!

Way better than any coffee table book! Thanks for all the good ideas and to your customers for sending their beautiful pictures. Really enjoyed this eye candy!

How can I narrow it down! Too many beautiful tables to choose from, but I finally did after scrolling up and down like a lunatic. You would have thought my life depending on this vote haha.

They are all lovely lovely. Number 41 really caught my eye. Also, like 2 and 25.

It is touching to see that people still believe it matters how a table is beautifully set. I realized a long time ago that it goes far beyond a personal style statement. It creates memories and reminds one’s family and friends that home is truly the most wonderful place to which they will ever have the privilege of belonging. In that sense every one of these imaginative tablescapes looks like a winner to me.

Just curious about the dining table and chairs in choice #6. Are they by John Widdicomb of Grand Rapids, MI. I can’t see the edges on the table, but the marquetry reminds me of “Louis XV”
