Hi all, as we are in unprecedented times so it calls for unprecedented measures. Things are different now. Things however, will not always be this way and we need to stop, take a deep cleansing breath and remember that. In the meantime, I feel its of paramount important to stay home, stay socially distanced and heed the caution being heard loud and clear. However, this dos not need to stop us from enjoying beautiful things, find a respite in comic relief or just find things that make us happy (at home)!

So I interrupt my normally pretty posts for a healthy dose of comic relief. I have gotten sent all kinds of funny things to diffuse the seriousness of all that is going on and made a few up of my own. Humor really helps to alleviate the anxiety I am feeling (tend to be an anxious person to begin with). So hope you enjoy……

Hope this gave you a brief respite and a good laugh….it sure helps me get through this difficult time. I say, stay home, stay safe and stay vigilant. That is all we can do right now. We are in this together, and will come out of it together, better, stronger and more united! And in the meantime, I will do my part to keep the laughter alive and the beautiful things flowing.

Would love to hear from you and how you are doing, what state you are from and how things are there. Love hearing from you and staying connected even in this most difficult time. Be well, stay safe and remain vigilant!! Until next time…………

Please keep the “pretties” coming, and your great recipes. It gives me something to look forward to, and a nice break from the news. I am grateful for beautiful blogs such as yours to help us at this time. So here in the Los Angeles area, we are ordered to stay home, only the essential businesses can be open. On the positive side, I’ve noticed that in general, people are very friendly, courteous, patient with one another as we stand in line whether it is the grocery store, bank, etc. Let’s hope we continue this as we move ahead. Stay well!

This was very welcome-I have been looking for all sorts of ways to laugh but somehow when you get it from someone else, it’s more like a gift. Thank you, Tina. don’t be anxious-this will not be forever-just follow the protocols, continue to laugh, say your prayers and one day soon we will be in a position to start reconstructing our economy, look back at all the good deeds we saw on television and around us and hopefully, learn more about what is really important in life priorities and make it permanent. Barbara

Tina, these were wonderful! Hysterical actually. Reading them has been the best part of my day so far. Keep them coming! Take care and you hang in there too! We are all in this together.

Thanks for the laughs. Laughter IS the best medicine. I don’t know how people come up with all these funny posts.
Our 3 sons call to see how we, the elderly, are doing and tell us not to go out. When did we become the kids and they the parents?!!
Stay safe everyone–this to shall pass.

Thank you for all the humorous pictures and messages. I’ve copied and shared a few with my friends who, like us, are “under house arrest” for the time being.

Hubby and I are abiding by the British WWII maxim, “Keep calm and carry on.” Yes, really. That is, some of the time. Mostly we’ve been camping out at CNN by day and PBS News by suppertime. Actually, we’re managing quite nicely with plenty of toilet paper. What’s with all the panic buying, anyway? This is hurricane season down in Florida; this is Washington state where spring is dragging her feet. The garden begs for attention, however, so today with temps near 70 we’re going outside to putter about. We are sick and tired of “house arrest.”

Keep safe, Tina. This, too, shall pass.

Tina…I am laughing hysterically, with tears running down my unwashed face, still in my pj’s at 1:15 in the afternoon, feeling like a lazy, sad slug! Thanks for these hilarious reminders that we’re NOT alone! We must get off the couch, take a shower, comb our hair, heck, maybe even brush our teeth. I feel better already !

I LOVE all of these and have shared some of them as well…….
Between you and FB I’m getting lots of laughs and not going crazy just yet! ??

Thanks, Tina! I got a good laugh.. If I may suggest: those of you who like YouTube, there’s a bunch of old Tonight Show with Johnny Carson programs on there. Look for the ones with Don Rickles.. You’ll be rolling on the floor, crying and laughing!

We’ll get through this…

Thank you so much! My husband and I are sitting out on the deck and laughing so hard with the funnies in your blog. Shared also with our daughter and her husband in Canada to keep their spirits up, especially with 2 young children at home. Thank you for brightening our day!

These were so funny and clever!! Made my day! Here in Tennessee we have enough cases but not a huge amount. Everyone is social distancing and restaurants and “non essential” businesses have closed temporarily . If the sun would just come out and it would stop raining!! We will make it through this if everyone does their part! Thank goodness spring break is over! I can’t believe all the people who went to exotic places and who knows what they will bring back!!

I noticed the dogs a few mornings ago, enjoying their walks in the middle of the day. I love seeing young people walking about with dogs and babies! Life has slowed down… which is a plus For families.

After 24/7 of Coronavirus news for the past week, your blog was wonderful ! Thanks so much from northeastern North Carolina !

Thank you Tina!
I’m in San Antonio and the people who shop at my HEB Grocery Store have had very nice manners. The El Arroyo sign you showed us from a restaurant in Austin. They are known for their fun and creative signs! Stay safe and well!

Thanks for making us laugh. My husband and I are at our Ft Lauderdale house. Weathers beautiful. Lots of people biking and walking beside the beach. Nobody is allowed on it to stop the kids from congregating. Little traffic. Everything’s closed. It’s peaceful while we all decompress and protect each other from infection.

Hi Tina from the state of Florida. The pictures of young Spring revelers on the beaches down here that we see on Facebook and the news is a bit misleading, I think. For the most part, I would expect that “these kids” are from colleges out of state and are feeling invincible about themselves. There are plenty of elderly people like myself who are being cautious about leaving our homes at all. I am 75 and already have lung cancer so I’m taking precautions seriously. Regarding what we’re doing differently ~ We placed a food order through InstaCart with our Publix grocery store on Friday. It is supposed to arrive this afternoon so we’ll see how that goes. In the meantime, I do appreciate your blog with the distraction of beautiful pictures – which I find calming – and the humor – which is wonderful. Thank you for coming across my screen at this scary time in the world with your wonderful blog! (By the way, I can always focus on a few blue and white pieces I’ve ordered from your shop which I have placed front and center on a glass table in my living room. I have them next to a beautiful book by Carolyne Roehm, whom I know you’ve talked about recently.) Stay safe up there and enjoy the beauty of Spring which should be unfolding soon. I’d love to see a picture of lilacs when they open! I miss those as they don’t grow in this zone. Seriously, stay safe and best to your family.

Thank you so much for keeping us laughing! We all need to take a small break from all the serious things going on in our world. I have sent this to so many people and they all are thanking me for doing so. Stay healthy and pray for out health workers.

Hi Tina!! We cooked “Cornaribs today on the pit!! Delish! I really enjoy looking at your beautiful home! I have created a board on Pinterest with all of your pictures! Love, love, love!!! There is a painted over the mantle in your dining room I absolutely adore! I’m am mesmerized by it. Could you share the name of it please? I live in Lake Charles,Louisiana!! We are all trying to hold down the fort and praying that this horrible virus disappears as quickly as it got here! At the beginning of the year I had 10 lbs to lose… just 15 to go!!! Take care! Keep your family and yourself safe!

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I enjoyed this post so much. Laughter is a super and natural stress reliever! We will come out of this together even stronger and more united, God Willing. He gave us humor for times like these.

Marilynn

Please keep the humor coming. So funny……BTW, I mute that State Farm commercial. What a witch! Feel so sorry for the husband. He’s terrified of her? We all are!!
