Good Sunday morning to you. Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend, its crazy that we are only a few weeks away from the unofficial close to summer, Labor Day! This summer has absolutely flown. There were some highlights to be sure but it was most certainly not the most exciting summer (no travel). I am really banking on 2022 being a much better and more ” normal ” year!

With all the sadness around us, the fires, Covid, the earthquake in Haiti, the very volatile situation in Afghanistan, it certainly puts things in perspective. And honestly makes me happy to have my blog as a retreat. It is absolutely my little happy place, an escape and I am so happy I get to share it with you. So let’s move onto this Sunday’s post……

1 LOTS OF WICKER COMING IN SOON! As things start to move again, our warehouse is starting to overflow with all kinds of amazing things. I really do want to do a quick video tour of some sort and keep waiting until things are less chaotic. But who am I kidding, that day may never come so in I may just bite the bullet and do one anyway, chaos and all:)

Here is some of what is coming in the next few containers, (getting four big ones in the next 2-6 weeks). The LONG AWAITED pagoda dog beds have arrived and are so stunning (started shipping presale orders out on Friday) and the anticipated  wicker breakfast trays will finally be coming in 3-4 weeks and are “on the sea”.Here is a sneak peek of what’s in progress……

Lots more wicker urns, hurricanes and other wicker beauties will be here in Sept!

Our top selling wicker consoles are sold out but will make a return later Sept.

2 A STUNNING VACATION HOME Enjoyed seeing this pretty Palmetto Bluff home in a recent Atlanta Homes Magazine…bluetifully done:) Shelley Wilkins is the designer, Pierce Scott the builder. So peaceful and really captures the vibe of pure peace and relaxation that abounds in this little slice of heaven. Click here to read more about it.

3 INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST No big theme other than prettiness and pictures that radiate happiness….

4 THE HOUSE OF GUCCI ON THE BIG SCREEN Did you know that there is a movie coming out about the House of Gucci? Think it should be really interesting and I can’t wait to tune in. The scenery, glamour and history are sure to be fascinating!

5 AN INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS AVOCADO SUMMER SALAD  Look no further if you are looking for a super tasty salad recipe that is full of flavor, pretty to look at and showcases the very best of summer. This was so so good. I added more avocado than they called for and it was a hit!  A perfect side salad but could easily be eaten as a meal too. Just loved this and it’s perfect for right now,  with the tomato season being in full swing. Found over at Julia’s Album.

Avocado Salad Ingredients:
  • 1/2 pound red cherry tomatoes or grape tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 pound yellow cherry tomatoes or grape tomatoes, halved
  • 2 avocados , diced
  • 1 cucumber , sliced
  • 1/3 cup red onion , diced
  • 8 ounces small fresh mozzarella cheese balls
Salad Dressing:
  • 1/4 cup basil pesto
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, combine halved red and yellow cherry or grape tomatoes, diced avocado, sliced cucumber, diced red onion, small fresh mozzarella cheese balls.

  2. Add basil pesto and lemon juice to the salad and toss to combine.  Season with salt and pepper, if desired. Use more basil pesto, if desired.

7  SUNDAY’S SURVEY Can you believe we are down to the last few weeks of summer! It has flown by so incredibly fast. I cannot say its been the best summer (no vacations, not enough time at the beach and never enough lobster rolls)! But overall there were some really nice highlights despite it feeling too short. So, wondering how would you rate your summer?

I can’t wait for the Gucci documentary and all the beautiful wicker pieces!

I am craving that salad, may try it today. Love your blog, they make my Sunday mornings complete!

Wonderful blog full of beautiful ideas, like the kitchen in the Palmetto Bluff home. Simple salad recipe sounds good too. Thanks Tina.

I can’t help but comment on the your surveys. It seems that your audience is comprised of pretty positive people. For me, sociology/psychology is so interesting. Are people who strive to make their lives pleasant and beautiful more positive on average? Interesting question. I will add that $$ has a little to do with this, but not a determining factor. Keep up the much appreciated, good vibes-inducing work you do, Tina. Thank you!

Good observation….I think you are right, overall pretty content and happy people. Appreciate the kind words.

Thank you for the heads up on House of Gucci. What a cast of characters! In the name of the “father, son, and the house of Gucci” Lol! Lady Gaga playing Patrizia Reggiani…who in her wealthiest days used to spend thousands of dollars a month on orchids (can you relate Tina)..looks like perfect casting to me – Can’t wait.

I enjoy your seven on seven blog. Recipes, pretty photos , movies surveys but don’t like that you have to try to sell your things on Sunday. I know your business is to sell but thread lightly on Sunday. It’s too much

Glad you enjoy the blog, however my business IS an integral part of my blog so it is only natural that I would share new items/shop news on my Sunday post.
