Hi friends, hope this finds you well! Just heartbroken over the situation in Ukraine but trying to keep life as normal as possible though it’s hard and almost guilt inducing when you think of the suffering going on right now.
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend. We are starting to get orders in again, still super congested at the ports which is incredibly frustrating and shipping prices have never been higher so this is not for the faint of heart:) But I am plowing ahead and very happy with all the goodies heading this way.
Spring looks like its finally here and I could not be happier. First time out the other day with no jacket, a big deal! Onward to my post this Sunday…..

1 OUR FINISHED HYDRANGEA PIECES! These were too good to not share. I am just in love with this collection. I can see a table all done up with these, I may just need to plan a hydrangea luncheon in honor of these beauties! We will have these late April/early May. Stay tuned!
2 BEAUTIFUL UKRAINE. I think it is safe to say we have all learned a lot about Ukraine these last few weeks. I wanted to show Ukraine not as the war ravaged invaded land it is right now but instead the beautiful country it was and God willing, will be again. Free and peaceful, let’s hope and pray. I will be the among the first to go and visit when that happens, what a magnificent country and the people even more so.
3 INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST Such beauty, sorely needed now more than ever! Feast your eyes on these beauties…..
4 A GREAT WAY TO SUPPORT UKRAINE. So a wonderful and generous Instagram account, The Headless Hostess, has partnered with the beautiful tabletop line of Vietri and is doing a mega giveaway. It involves buying a small raffle for a nominal fee and all proceeds are going to the humanitarian effort for Ukraine.
5 A WONDERFUL AND SUPER DELICIOUS SALAD Its that time of year, when the clothes that have been a bit “snug” need to go into hibernation and I need to start being mindful of eating leaner/healthier. This salad is so incredibly tasty, found over at Taste of the Moments. The dressing is the key here, I chopped mine small as I love eating a chopped salad, but either way this is divine!
2skinless boneless chicken breasts about 1 – 1.5 pounds
4cupsromaine lettucechopped
2green onionswhite and green parts, sliced
1cupcherry tomatoeshalved
½cupblack beansrinsed and drained (use canned or my [Easy Instant Pot Black Beans])
1largecorn cobhusks and silks removed (or about 1 cup of thawed frozen corn)
1avocadoseeded and diced
Serve with grated cheesefresh cilantro, lime wedges, and tortilla strips if desired
For the dressing:
6tablespoonsextra virgin olive oil
4tablespoonsfresh lime juice
2teaspoonspure maple syrupmay substitute with honey
2teaspoonsfreshly chopped cilantro
salt and freshly ground black pepperto taste
Season the chicken breast with salt and pepper to taste and sprinkle with the taco seasoning. Let stand at room temperature for about 1 hour.
Preheat the grill to medium and cook the chicken breast about 8 minutes per side or until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees. Remove from heat, cover loosely with foil and allow to rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
While the chicken cooks, place the corn on the grill and cook on all sides, turning every 3-4 minutes or until blackened. Remove from heat and cut the corn from the cob when cool enough to handle.
Place the lettuce, green onions, cherry tomatoes, black beans, roasted corn, avocado, and cheddar cheese in a large bowl. Toss together gently, and serve on plates. Top with the chicken and tortilla strips.
Prepare the dressing:
Place all salad ingredients in a small jar, cover and shake until combined. Drizzle the desired amount of dressing over the salad and toss to coat.
Serve with optional toppings and enjoy!

7 SUNDAY’S SURVEY Very easy poll this weekend. One you don’t have to think much about. We are on the subject of sleep. Something I don’t get enough of! I am a late to bed, early riser (always have been) but find waking up in the middle of the night has become a downright routine. I don’t want to take medication other than Melatonin, which I take on occasion. I have no problem falling asleep, but staying asleep is a whole other matter. Curious where you fall on this subject?

Did you know Ukraine is the largest producer of wheat in the world? You do now.. could be another reason Russia wants control of the country. Truly heartbreaking to see the purposeful destruction and killing of innocent people.. pure evil!
I am heartbroken over the wanton destruction of Ukraine, and I feel as though my prayers merely bounce off the ceiling like pebbles. Your photo of bright sunflowers in the pair of porcelain vases, however, brighten my spirits.
If any of your readers are interested in hosting an individual or family from Ukrainian, 2 students from Harvard have designed a website. The website can be used by us in the USA and other countries. Tina, with your large following maybe some of your readers would be interested.
I just a thought, 3 million people displaced. How best to find temporary beautiful homes. Tina’s friends and followers.
The photos are inspiring, and I especially love the one with the beautiful moulding, and the trim on pillows and sofa picked up from the shades. It is heartbreaking to see that beautiful country of Ukraine and to know how much of it is devastated and the people killed, hurt and displaced. How it will all end, we wonder and pray. The salad looks delicious, easy, and nutritious. Great post!
Thank you for the beautiful video of the Ukraine that most of us have never seen. It is so sad to hear & see what is happening there now. I pray for peace for Ukraine & for the rest of the world too. We need the world to be a kinder place for all.
