Hi and happy Friday to you, is it really already August! The other night I set up a casual al fresco dinner for four and it was such a treat. I can’t believe it’s only, I think the second time I have done this all summer. I say it every year but this summer has flown, really flown. I plan to do more of these. We bbq’d, another thing we have hardly done and it was a treat. Add a little rosè, some nice music and it made for a beautiful summer evening.
I paired my melamine with porcelain chargers, fun to mix things up. And to celebrate summer we have a very special offer for any melamine purchase from our truly exceptional melamine collection. People often cannot believe they are actually melamine!
So here was my setup-
_____________________________________________
These beautiful summer flowers were my starting point in one of favorite small vases
Prepping behind the scenes on the menu was barbecued steak, chicken, eggplant and chicken burgers plus lemon pesto pasta and salad
So happy our fabulous porcelain wine cooler just came back in stock
The perfect ingredients for an alfresco table, our melamine pates, monogrammed napkins, porcelain chargers, bamboo flatware and pretty summer flowers!
Need to do this a lot more often while the weather allows it! Blue and white always to the rescue and when paired with pretty summer flowers, its a hard combination to beat. Thanks for stopping by, wishing everyone a fabulous Friday….
Enjoyed this post very much! Such a pretty setting, both the table and the view. The vases and sunflowers are my favorite element, although the food looks very good, too 🙂
Do you miss the huge parties you used to host? I’m your age… and can attest that as we age (and our children age) our lives do, indeed, change. No better or worse, just different! I also enjoy your menus for smaller, more intimate gatherings! Thank you!

These square porcelain vases are the perfect size for a small dining table
This fabulous ice bucket/cooler can easily hold 4-5 bottles such a great piece that I have also used as a planter for flowers, double duty:)
Blue and white always feels right
Haven’t done a BBQ in so long!
Love a nice fresh salad
Food was so good
This rosè was really good, first time trying
