Hello friends and Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. We are enjoying a low key Thanksgiving with my immediate family and a few other family members in the low country here at PB.  I must admit the more casual approach really works for me this year, there has been a lot going on, all at once and frankly I needed the down time and less pressure. Plus I know what the next 4 weeks leading up to Christmas has in store, my elf self on overdrive:)

I want to take this time to thank you, my beloved readers and customers for your incredible loyalty, support and belief in me and what I do. Some of you have been there since the beginning and I am forever grateful. Truly,  this blog and my business have been a savior in more ways than one. It is indeed a treasured “happy place” for me to express myself, pursue my overactive creative mind and share it all with a most wonderful like minded community. It has opened doors and forged friendships and connections I never knew possible. I am very grateful on this day of thanks.

It has been a difficult two years for our world but being one who always looks for the silver lining in things, one thing that did come out of this post Covid slumber is gaining a perspective on what is important. Family. Good friends. Good health. Taking time to do things that make us feel good and happy. Seizing the day and not letting an opportunity to do something you want to do,  pass you by. Life can be short. And I know, I for one am planning on practicing much more of that “jump in and do” approach to things.

Just a few thoughts of gratitude to start off this Thanksgiving morning. Wishing each and every one of you a peaceful and joyous day spent with those you love. A special thanks to all our troops and service men/women, many of who do not get to be in the comfort of their homes with their families and who allow us the very freedom to do what we will all be doing today.

Cheers to unplugging,  unwinding, and creating new memories with those you love and cherish. Moving along…..

Moving along,  to Thanksgiving, here are a few pictures of my much more casual Thanksgiving table, the beautiful magnolia from Weston Farms gave it a beautiful fall feel and I added some flowers to our new white pierced footed dish (coming in 3 weeks).

Definitely a very different vibe from the usual more formal tables I typically set for Thanksgiving at home. Loved being able to use our new Carolyne Roehm dinner plates and the browns and blues mix beautifully. Proof that blue and white has a seat at every table, every season if you ask me.

your table is beautiful. Where can one purchase table and chairs like those in the picture in
Palmetto Bluff? I love the round table and the neutral colors.
