Our extra helpers will be ready to get ALL holiday orders out the day it comes in…we are ready.I am sorry its a few days later than the ETA of Dec. 4th, these are always estimate and with the holidays things are backed up. I know for next year to do this in August! I ordered this in September and while there is plenty of time for Christmas I understand many of you like to get a heads starts on wrapping…..we are ready for the delivery and will  get all your orders out immediately!

Hope your Sunday is off to a wonderful start. We had the most beautiful snowfall yesterday into last night, snowed a lot more than expected which curtailed city plans so probably staying in today and continuing with my holiday decorating …it’s a week before my big holiday party.  I have A LOT to do but it’s fun and honestly it’s when I am my happiest, preparing for a party but with the ornaments and giftwrap orders, it’s going to be an insanely busy week so trying to rest up today:)

_________

1 DECKING THE HALLS! Well it is finally starting, slow out of the starting gate but eventually I do get it all done.  Having a magical snowfall yesterday and last night definitely put me in the mood.

As much as I say I will start earlier, with working full time and a full schedule all the way around, this is what it is. The most important thing is that it gets done in the end and I will be putting the finishing touches on everything towards the end of the week in anticipation of my holiday party next weekend and then Christmas just a few weeks from now!

I couldn’t find a great big red bow for these 40″ wreaths so decided to do 4 smaller red bows and ended up liking this way more than one big bow, so have a new look from now on~

Ta dah!

And in powder room added these beautiful fruit topiaries to  my scalloped tole planters, all that I have left is to put a wreath on the mirror-

2 MY HOLIDAY LOVE CONTEST. My contest is in full swing and there is room for about 14 more pictures so if you are hoping to participate, don’t wait too long. Already have so many beautiful and inspiring pictures! The prize is 3 MONTHS of Enchanted Home goodies.  Click here for all the rules and guidelines to enter. A few favorite entries from years past…..

3 INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST. Never at a loss of amazing pictures to share, hard to narrow it down this week but here is what I came up with……serious beauty overload!

Though I love them all my fave this week is this one, because seriously these are just too cute, if you don’t follow this account you should, her dogs are soooo cute for every season!!

4 SASHA NICHOLAS I have been  long time admirer of this exquisite line of monogrammed dinnerware. It doesn’t get any more elegant and paired with just about any pattern, this is the crowning touch to any table.

I am going to be mixing my newly ordered stag salad plates with my Royal Copenhagen garland dinnerware and I can barely wait to set my table. If you don’t know of Sasha Nicholas, you must check them out, you can thank me later:) Click here to visit Sasha Nicholas.

5 A DELICIOUS CHRISTMAS PUNCH I made this a few years back and it was good….VERY good. Plus gets extra brownie points for being really pretty, colorful and super festive.  Sure to be a crowd pleaser and a beautiful idea for the holidays.

Christmas Day Punch – A lovely fruity punch with prosecco for the grown-ups. A great way to keep your guest’s drinks topped up!
Ingredients
∙ Serves 18-20
Produce
  • 500 ml Clementine
  • 3 Clementines
  • 100 g Cranberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1 From 1 pomegranate, Seeds
  • 2 Limes, Juice of
  • 3 Limes
  • 1 Small bunch Mint, leaves
Drinks
  • 700 ml Pomegranate juice – i used pom, juice
Frozen
  • 1 Ice
  1. Pour the cranberry juice, pomegranate juice, clementine juice and juice of 2 limes into a large punch bowl and stir. Add the lime slices, clementine slices, cranberries and pomegranate seeds. If you’re making the punch ahead, you can cover and place the punch in the fridge at this point for 2-3 hours. I did this (even put it in the freezer for about 35 minutes and it was ice cold, really good)
  2. When ready to serve, add ice to the punch, then pour in the prosecco and vodka. Stir and sprinkle on fresh mint leaves.

6 FLOCKING A WREATH.  Flocking aka creating a snow kissed look seems to be all the rage. I love it, always have. So I had bought a wreath about 7 weeks ago with the idea of an ad for Christmas. Sadly there were a comedy of errors that made it not happen but I did get a beautiful picture out of it:) See below-

Fast forward several weeks, I was about to throw away the wreath because it was looking rather ragged. But  then thought of channeling my DIY energies and “flocking it” with white spray paint…..well, it was a mini miracle. I instantly had a wreath that looked like it had been kissed by the snow fairies!! All I did was throw on a bow and voila….instant reincarnation of the wreath!

Then hung it on my side door, will get a big ribbon to put on this week, really love that snow kissed look

And then I tried it some of the fresh greens I bought and yes, love the effect on these too! I wish I could this involves lot of talent but really it is so darn easy!

Looks like fresh snow just fell on it-

7 SUNDAY’S SURVEY This question almost makes me sad, I feel like such a slacker. NEVER in a million years did I think that once again I would be admitting to not having time to get Christmas cards out…but yes its happened again.

With all the best intentions, it just did not happen and I am so mad at myself that I dropped the ball on this once again. Still getting used to working full time and juggling….A  LOT. So I am considering sending out a New Years card or something along that line. Which statement best describes you and holiday cards?

PS All ornaments are on sale 20% today through tomorrow! Use code “ornaments” for the extra discount. Ornament orders shipping out tomorrow and Tuesday. Click here to see them

So that’s a wrap for this Sunday. It is tempting to stay inside all day today with all that snow out there and cold temps. May just cook up something good, watch a few movies, and continue with my decorating. I consider today the calm before the storm, this coming week will be one of the busiest weeks of the year so I am resting today to reserve all my energy:)

Wishing you a wonderful relaxing Sunday, until next time…..

Tina, your home looks just lovely. You certainly have a gift for decorating. Your punch sounds fabulous!

Tina your home looks so beautiful! Love how you did the snowy effect on the greens, will be heading to my local hardware store today to copy, that is such a great idea.
I love your tuliperes and am going to try and source red/white tulips so I can emulate the same look for Christmas, I got them from you a few weeks ago and just love them. Thank you for so many great ideas, I am constantly inspired by you.

We used to send out cards but with our kids gone as of last year (youngest went to college) we don’t take our family pictures anymore and it just doesn’t feel the same, so you have company. We are doing a huge family reunion in Hawaii in May though so we will likely have a big family picture taken and I may use that for holiday cards for 2018.

Your home looks so elegant, thanks for sharing. I love the monogrammed plates.

I love seeing the photos of your sweet Teddy at the end of each of daily posts!

Always love your holiday ideas! Everything looks so pretty and fresh. Wanted to add my two cents about cards. Working does really complicate holidays and you just have to give yourself a break. Plus, I was responsible for the corporate holiday card as well (ugh!). I only send cards to immediate family and friends we will not see. We host a big holiday open house, so those people get an invite (not a card). I am not a fan of family photo cards and so just tuck a vacation snapshot, often just of kids or, now, grandkids, into a card. Since cards are often the only time I am in such with many old friends, etc., I prefer a short, hand-written greeting to a “holiday newsletter” (double ugh!). I just send cards as I get to them. one probably don’t arrive until New Years, but it’s the thought, right?

Your gate with the festive Christmas wreaths would win the holiday love contest. You have the snow falling and the beautiful gates that say, Welcome, with the addition of the your two wreaths. Love it!

One other thing…just order pre-made Christmas cards that say everything, so you don’t have to write thing other than their address on the envelopes. It’s sad, but that’s what I did this year. But they still receive a pretty card!

Tina,

Love the punch recipe but in the ingredients list there is not amounts for the Prosecco and Vodka. Is that an obvious given of “to taste”? Thanks!

Love those huge wreath bows with lots of loops. I keep trying to make mine like those, as I don’t like flat bows for decorating. Tying presents is much easier!

Hi Tina, I watched your beautiful video on Instagram. Wow…your gates to your home with your beautiful wreaths and it was snowing was magical! Everything in you home is absolutely gorgeous!? Merry Christmas!!? ❄️

Your home decorations are just beautiful
Is the fruit toparies available , just love them
Thanks

Hello dear Tina… Happy Sunday! Your home is the epitome of festive elegance. I watched your Insta story of driving through the gates – so beautiful. Love all the Instagram pics. Have you watched The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel on Amazon? It is so good – I think that you would get a kick out of it. Hope you have a wonderful week, dear Tina. I’m sure it will be a busy one.

I dislike a last minute rush!………………..I prefer decorating just after Thanksgiving…………that may be too early for some, but let me tell you, it was well worth it! More time to enjoy the fruits of my labor………..hopefully, we can all stock up on ornaments, wrapping paper & etc , this year, so next year won’t be so hectic.

I wish I lived up in your area so I could work at your business. It sounds like such fun! I just love this post. It really got me into the Christmas spirit. Thank you for posting!

Love everything! (Be careful with the painted greens. I did this for a wreath on the front door of our vacation home— paint rubbed off on the door—)

You do plenty. No sense running yourself into the flu because you are so wiped out from being all things to all people all the time. The snow was a gift and a message…slow down enough to admire the real beauty. Your family is the only real decor, anyway. Those loving faces are all the ornaments in our lives that really matter. You are an inspiration, Tina, but save a little bit for yourself, too. It’s all beautiful to look at, and the creative spirit is deep in your heart. But, don’ t sweat the details. Tis the season to be jolly. And, I am really getting into the white, snow kissed look, too. Very soothing and ethereal.

I’ve been sick with bronchitis for my third week, so cards are out the window this year. I had such nice plans, too. I have send little notes in January in previous years and am probably going to do that this year. ….if I ever get over this. Too much coughing to write.

Hi Tina we own a house in Sun Valley and converge there every year for Christmas so decorations are minimal but pretty, and we use lots of things from the outdoors, pinecones, fresh greens, etc…

I. have. learned to not get so stressed and to try and enjoy the season. I don’t wrap gifts until around Dec. 20th, the week before Christmas and as you said, it all gets done, so I don’t get all these that do things so early but I guess on the other hand, it gives you more time to enjoy it.

I loved this post, so much beauty, your decor is so elegant and festive. Love the painting greens idea, need to try that next year!

Don’t sweat about the timing of your cards, Tina. One that comes in the New Year is just as welcome as one that comes before Christmas. What a Christmas card is really saying is that the person that you send it to is someone that you care and value enough to spend a moment and the cost of card and stamp and with whom you wish to keep in contact. Although I always get my annual Christmas letter and cards out, they have sometimes been posted on Christmas Eve on the way to the Midnight service, and other times, if we are overseas skiing they have been written and posted once we got home.

Please email me or re-do ingredients for Christmas punch, didn’t quite understand it. Looks so good !!!!

Could you list the amount of prosecco and vodka in the holiday punch? They seem to be missing and the punch sounds delicious!

Tina, all so lovely both in your shop and your Christmas decor! So funny you think you are a slacker! HA HA HA. You are juggling so many balls SO well! I just did a very early retirement this year from 20 year high pressure sales and I am not working and STILL have not gotten my cards out. Shortening my list and prioritizing all the things that need to be done! Merry Christmas! Julie L

I have a friend who does an annual Valentine’s Card in lieu of Christmas cards. Just a thought. You are not a slacker!!!
