Hello and happy Sunday…can you believe it’s Labor Day weekend!! Hope everyone is having an enjoyable holiday weekend, we are finally having gorgeous weather. In the 70’s and sunny…works for me!

We went on a friends beautiful boat to CT for dinner, supposed to be going to the Hampton Classic horse show today with friends (though someone in my household is already rumbling about traffic so this remains to be seen) and  are doing some entertaining tomorrow which should be fun. So we are ending a rather uneventful summer with a fun bang. On we go with my Sunday post….

1 QUADRILLE FABRICS TO SWOON OVER  Something about these fabric from Quadrille is calling my name, I just love both of them. Well, actually I love their entire line of beautiful fabrics. The first one, I don’t know where or how I would use it but sure love seeing it on this elegant slipper chair. The green is too bright but if its was a mossy green I would order it pronto without having a use in mind. But that blue on the right is definitely getting my attention too! Click here to find out more over at Quadrille.

This print is called Peacock Batik

And I have been wanting to do an upholstered bed for sometime now and may have just found the perfect fabric for it! I would do this in the blue on tint but every color is so fabulous. How pretty is this bedroom (Lizzie Cullen Cox)  featuring the fabric. Click here for more information

2 FLOWER POWER I love an all white arrangement and put this together for a little photo shoot we did. So love these flowers and would love to be able to keep this forever. I tried it in a few different containers, there wasn’t one it didn’t look just gorgeous in.

All white flowers arrangements are just so elegant…..always!

Tried them in 3 different containers, all worked beautifully.

Our best selling footed planter is finally back in stock (click here and don’t forget to use code labor for 20% off)

3 NEW PRODUCTS SOON HEADING THIS WAY! We have some really exciting new things heading this way. You as always, get the first sneak peek. So looking forward to each and every one of these!

These fabulous new wastepaper baskets and tissues will be here in October, want to add one to every single bathroom:) Can’t pick a favorite color, can you?

Our colored wicker has been a huge hit, adding this new style cane wicker planter! Coming in later October

For your eyes only, first look at these fabulous pagoda trees! I adore these for dining tables, consoles and mantle holiday decorating! So excited over these (will be here mid to later October)! Such a fun and sophisticated take on the holidays, doesn’t everyone need a chinoiserie tree:)

A sneak peek at the blue and white new (plus one new size) porcelain pumpkins on the way! Be here in 3 weeks, will hold an arrival sale on these beauties

4 A RECIPE WORTH AN ENCORE Made these the other night, they are just so darn good! And best part is they are so easy. They go perfectly with anything from fish, chicken, steak or just to serve a a great, flavorful and always popular side dish. I made them with branzino and a chopped Greek salad and it was a perfect pairing.

  • ½ cup chicken broth or vegetable broth
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • ½ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (from 3 to 4 large lemons)
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 3 pounds large Yukon Gold potatoes (about 6), peeled then halved lengthwise and crosswise OR one large bag of small new potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano (I tend to use a little more)
  • Flaky salt and black pepper, for serving
  1. Heat the oven to 450 degrees. On a rimmed sheet pan, combine the chicken broth, olive oil, lemon juice and kosher salt. Toss the potatoes in the liquid to coat, then arrange the potatoes in an even layer, cut-sides down. Sprinkle the oregano over the potatoes, if using.
  2. Roast the potatoes, flipping halfway through, until fork-tender, dark brown and crispy on top, 55 to 60 minutes. (If the potatoes are cooked through but not as crispy as you’d like, run them under the broiler for a few minutes.) Sprinkle with flaky salt and black pepper as desired.

5 A COMPELLING DOCUMENTARY I saw this so many times, I eventually bought it. Have spoken about it before but saw it recently and felt it was with mentioning again.

A story that shockingly many do not k now about but one that is utterly fascinating and infuriating at the same time. The story of government and corruption vs the most valuable art collection in the world. A “must watch” recommend! I am nearly certain you can see it on Amazon Prime, used to be on Netflix (not sure). Riveting!

6 INCREDIBLE HIGH CAMP GARDENIAS  The first time I received one of their boxes as a gift, I almost fainted from the scent and beauty. The quality is the best of the best, with the prettiest presentation and I don’t need to tell you how exquisite of a flower the beautiful gardenia is. So so beautiful. These make the best gift and yes, that includes to yourself:) Click here to visit High Camp Gardenias.

7 SUNDAY’S SURVEY  This is easy peasy and light and breezy. No major thinking required and not covid related. Your welcome:) I know its a word none of us want to ever remember! So as I shared on my last update post, these fabulous wood brackets are in production. Very excited for them and have several spots in my own home for them. They are out of production and ready to be painted. I would love your input as you are the ultimate focus group.

Surprisingly good affordable stylish brackets are not that easy to find afterall.  Please list your three top colors/finishes for how you see these being offered. I think they will be a hit so chances are likely these will become a regular part of our product line with hopefully many reorders down the road. But for now I am doing them in 3 colors. Thanks in advance!

Helloooo dear Tina! I hope that you enjoyed your Summer. Love these Sunday posts! Going over to check out your sale now. Have a great week.

Thank you for the trailer concerning the Barnes heist. I wonder if this Barnes is related to our past Governor Roy Barnes in Georgia. He is a good man and citizen of our Marietta, GA city. How interesting!
