Hi there! Hope everyone had a wonderful and safe July 4th holiday. Ours was relaxing and enjoyable. Our plans were slightly derailed (thanks to teenagers who would rather be with their friends than parents) but we ended up not taking our trip to Maine and instead ended up going to the Hamptons. I was at first, extremely disappointed but it turned out to be a lot of fun and we were blessed with amazing weather so no complaints….still got my share of lobster rolls, a bit of shopping, beachtime  and other indulgences! Maine will have to wait maybe until later in the summer. So its back to business and I must admit I missed blogging and checking in with all my blogging friends so it’s awfully  nice to be back!

I love pillows. Have a feeling I have a loooot of company. Lets face it, they are an inexpensive way to totally changing up a space without breaking the bank or having to visit your local furniture store for a total redo. They can  add so much to a space and today’s selection is as vast as its ever been. When I was looking for pillows for the loggia furniture, I was getting frustrated. I knew exactly what I wanted but I just wasn’t finding it. I found something pretty close at Frontgate but had a hard time justifying $160 a pop for a basic cotton pillow, not even including trim! And then even with that price tag I liked it, didn’t love it.

Soon I turned to Etsy, figuring there’s a reason so many talk about it and lo and behold I was in pillow nirvana. Suddenly I had too many choices…that should be my biggest problem! So I ended up ordering two batches figuring I would “play” and play I did. So below are pictures (some of which you might have seen) of the two sets of pillows…honestly love them both but Schumachers Chiang Mia has always had a special place in my heart so this is the one that shall remain. The others, the ikat might be used for the pool (totally works) or for the outdoor furniture on the main patio coming any day. I also am including my own little mood board of the final contenders and then the Etsy sites of the two wonderful women I dealt with who were both a total pleasure and produced high quality well priced merchandise! So here we go….

My mood board featuring the final contenders…it was a tough choice admittedly!
The first batch I got in were the ikat and geometric courtesy of  Motif Pillows. She has an absolutely gorgeous selection of pillows and I am certain I will be shopping with her again! Motif pillows were just stunning, click here to visit her online shop.  Below are a few of her recent offerings, all so pretty!

And here are my own pillows from her on display……

Then I got the pillows in from Studio Trullia  and it was love at first sight. She produces really high quality pillows and uses wonderful fabrics. Her customer service was fantastic as well as as her accommodations and turnaround time. Click here to visit her shop and here are a few pillows from her shop currently being offered, all gorgeous once again!

And here is my heap ready to find their home…..

So ultimately the Chiang Mai won out, I just love it..it is what was in my head the entire time. Waiting on two more lumbars and the solid ivory with navy tape (last pic) and I am done here. Really love the final result…….

I ordered two of these but in the reverse, ivory with navy tape…should be here next week!

And here are a few more wonderful pillow sources on Etsy worth sharing….

So the bottom line is this……….I found ultimately exactly what I had been looking for. LOVE what I have and cannot wait to do more! I don’t need to look anywhere else but Etsy, seriously there are sooooo many amazing pillow resources and for the most  part they are all so much less than their competition (the big names) plus I was happy to support a small business owner and in turn got exactly what I wanted.

So if pillows are by chance something you are in the market for by all means do take a look at the two resources I mentioned here and Etsy in general, there are so many wonderful finds! Happy pillow shopping and thanks for stopping in! Wishing you a wonderful weekend and be back on Monday!

Welcome back, sweet Tina. I missed you! Isn’t funny how kids hijack our lives? LOVE the pillows!! Did you happen to see the Countess or Ramoner in the Hamptons? Enjoy the rest of the weekend!!!

Welcome home!

Sorry to hear your trip to Maine was postponed, but so happy to hear that you managed to relax and rest.

These pillows are FABULOUS! There are so many talent people in etsy. I would have had a hard time picking from all of your choices.

I hope you have a fabulous day.

P.s, I loved every link that you posted before you left, it was a great way to spend a few hours.

Thank you for stopping by!

Elizabeth

Tina these pillows are so beautiful. Your taste is truly perfect. I love what you selected and how fun to have two sets to change things up. That Chiang Mia however is very hard to surpass. I have long admired it and briefly considered it for pillows in my living room but my husband didn’t get it- men!

Thanks for including the new found resources, I plan to check them out, because I am helping my sister, a newlywed decorate her new home and I agree Etsy is hard to beat. Glad you had a fun trip even if it didn’t quite go as you wished. Don’t know how old your kids are but our girls 18 and 19 basically do not travel with us anymore unless its a family event like a wedding or something. It makes me sad but they really dont’ like family trips anymore, guess I have to wait until I get grandchildren!

Did you say PILLOWS!? Oh yes indeed we are in good company. Love all of your choices and I am an advocate for Etsy as well. I have been getting my own samples of fabrics for my summer look in my family room. You can go here…..

and see which ones I am considering! Hard to choose, but fun to play with for sure!!
I am waiting for two more fabrics and then the final decision will be made. The more I get the harder it is to choose.
You my friend chose well!

Tina- just spectacular. That is all I can say. You made a perfect choice (on both sets). I have to check out Etsy. Have to admit I never heard of it but can’t wait.

Those pillows are lovely but what is even MORE lovely is the setting that they are in. That area looks just GORGEOUS! You have done a wonderful job there- Have a nice weekend- xo Diana

Hi Tina welcome back. Hope you had fun. I missed your beautiful posts, and this one is gorgeous. Love all the pillows and the final choice is just magnificent. I have to check out Etsy.

Tina dear, you saved so much on these inexpensive pillows, (ours average anywhere from 595.00 to 1,300.00 each) that you can use the “savings” to now buy some lovely tall potted topiaries for your beautiful loggia. 🙂

Tina if I were you every afternoon around 5 (happy hour) I would pour myself a glass of bubbly and go take a sit on one of those gorgeous pillows and just admire my surroundings and give myself a big pat on the back for a job well done. What a beautiful space you have created.
Thank you for sharing it.

Etsy is turning out to be such a gold mine for everyone in terms of price and what we’re looking for. You found some beautiful pillows Tina and I’m ready to porch sit any time you need an extra body about.

Hi Tina! Love all the pillows you posted. I just love your blog. I’m always looking for inspiration and your blog definitely has inspired me! My husband and I have planned a trip to Brimfield based on one of your earlier posts. I’m not sure if you have ever attended the Newport Flower Show, but I have posted some pictures and information from our recent trip there on my blog: http://antiquenehomes.blogspot.com/

Take care and thanks again for the inspiration!

I love Etsy as a pillow resource, too! So many wonderful options. Your loggia looks so beautiful and comfortable!! I’m glad you had a great 4th despite the change in plans. I hear Maine is beautiful… Thank you so much for including my salad in your links!! Glad you liked it!

Love all of your new pillows…great choices! The all-over designs work great and take the place of a solid color, when placed on the off-white cushions:-) Carol P.
