Hi there. I am SO excited to officially start this contest I can barely contain myself! Before we begin, PLEASE be sure you are sitting down, have a clear state of mind, maybe an extra cup of coffee on hand because you are really going to need it to think hard when you get ready to embrace all this beauty!! The response to this contest was incredibly overwhelming…far exceeded my expectations and blew me away with the sheer beauty and taste level of my readers….so many of these could be front page and center on any major design magazine! I got ideas I didn’t even know existed:)
I got so many entries in fact that I ended up having to split them into two posts. It was just too much for one and I don’t want to be responsible for a sudden epidemic of emergency rooms around the country dealing with a mysterious “blue and white-itis” disease that has plagued legions of devotees:) And because there were so many amazing pictures, I decided to have two winners!
This will run today and part of tomorrow and then tomorrow afternoon I will post round 2 also to run for one and a half days. Voting will continue for both rounds until Friday morning where I will announce the two winners, one from each round as well as announce the next contest and a great giveaway!
Truth is every one of these is a winner. I loved seeing every person’s interpretation of “blue and white love” and I wish I had a prize for each!! I also wish there was room to share some of the many stories that accompanied so many of these pictures. From beautiful artwork, generations old blue and white collections, precious kids and pets adorning blue and white to homes and rooms warranting a magazine spread…there are nearly 200 to enjoy! But please know I read every single one of the stories and so enjoyed hearing what was behind your pictures. So ready to get started? Buckle your seat belt……..here we go!

We are in the throes of doing Will’s bedroom at the beach and #14 is wonderful inspiration…love a buffalo plaid for a boy!! So many beautiful choices…

I thought of you immediately when I saw it…funny how we begin to feel a connection with people we have not really met other than via our blogs and the internet. It’s always a good thing! #66 is by far my favorite. Although some other entries were alright, this one was magnificent and almost brought me tears as it reminded me of my childhood.
It was fun to narrow my choices down to vote then to go back and see some of the popular choices. I really tried to pick people who collected B&W well, not just used fabric or wallpaper, those some of those photos POP. Can you give us any info on that OMG gorgeous bathroom pictured in 29 and 46? It must be a public bathroom somewhere and I just love it. Thanks for the fun diversion this morning.
