Good morning! Hope you are doing well. Just a quick “pop in” post to say hello and share highlights from the last week or so. Putting the finishing touches around my home for the holidays, and what’s done is done!
Have had an incredibly busy week with more than a few birthday celebrations (possibly gained 5 pounds from the desserts alone) a few holiday parties, working hard, preparing for houseguests. So, yes, been busy over here! So here is a snapshot of the good and pretty around here…..
Love seeing my bulbs come to life!!
My birthday flowers literally look like they did the day they arrived 6 days ago, kept them in the coolest room in our house (breakfast room)
Silver polished, ready for a small holiday cocktail party
Busy busy week at our Santa’s workshop aka warehouse
How sweet are these darling ginger jar gift tags! Received them years ago and am still enjoying them
Beautiful paper whites are blooming on cue
A friend sent over a box of Levain cookies from NYC, if you have never had one, you are missing out! They are INCREDIBLE and very decadent
Another birthday indulgence:)
Adding lights to the trees by the door
Went to someones house and they surprised me with yet another birthday cake, third one I indulged in that week…worth every calorie!
Yes, it was as good as it looks….lobster ravioli!
Got to go see the Nutcracker, every time I see it, its as if I am seeing it for the first time
A pretty scene from a birthday dinner
If you have never had Lady M’s green tea crepe cake, you are missing out on the most delicious cake ever, their light crepe cakes are out of this world!
Went on a gift wrapping marathon, love the touch of red against the blue and white
Bergdorfs windows never disappoint
A beautiful holiday dinner we went to which started with a heavenly shrimp bisque
Was in Greenwich, always enjoy seeing what Greenwich Orchids does to the front of their lovely shop
And love going into Hoaglands to ooh and ahh over their magnificent china selections!
Followed by Short ribs
All my front door needs is a nice blanket of white fluffy snow! Never will give up dreaming of a white Christmas
And that’s a wrap! Hope you enjoyed my post. As I was putting this together, I was thinking of all the blunders, mishaps, and not such smooth days that have occurred over this holiday season and think I am going to do a post about it. Its not always tulips and cartwheels, some of the “incidences’ were humorous, others not so much. Wishing smooth sailing and peace to everyone as we all scramble to finish off those holiday lists! For some reason I have not been receiving any of your emails for at least the past 2-3 weeks. I just tried to re-Subscribe and the message that I am already a Subscriber appeared.
