I so love being able to help people transform their homes, from small spruce ups to total makeovers. I always say there is no greater luxury
than having a beautiful home to come home to at the end of the day.
Never has it been easier with the beauty and ease of edesign. Read on for more information.....
What if I just need help with paint colors or accessorizing?
What are the сost involved?
What exactly is E-Design?
Is it only good if i have a blank room to start?
How do you know what the client is looking for?
Are there any discounts given?
Who is it suited for?
Who is E-Design not suitable for?
How long does it take?
There is a plan for that too, which is a newer plan. I realized there is a big demand for people who need help putting the finishing touches on a room. They might have a room that in theory is done but they have no idea how to accessorize a console or coffee table or where to add mirrors, art,etc…..I also get plenty of inquires from people who need direction with paint colors, let’s face it, it can be intimidating and discovering that here are 500 shades of white alone drives my point home beautifully! So yes for a nominal fee, I do offer accessory and paint plans.
The easy thing is it’s one flat design fee. That fee can range from $450-$2250. Really depends on if its one small room or an entire home, also to what extent we will be working. Is it just accessorizing to starting from the ground up down to the very last detail. There are no additional fees which makes this easy peasy.
It is a design service that is done exclusively online via the computer between me (the designer) and you (the client). Everything is done via email with the exception being occasionally faxing over floor plans but even that is normally done via email.
Absolutely not! While I have done my share of “blank spaces” which are always fun, the majority of spaces involve someone who already owns some furniture, rugs or accessories and wants to work around existing items. Do this all the time. Sometimes a client might have a sofa or chair they are considering reupholstering, I will help them decide if the furniture warrants the cost of labor and fabric.
To start they have come to me for a reason…they like my taste so we are one step ahead of the game! Once a deposit is given to secure a spot, I follow up with a list of questions to help me understand the scope of the project and the goals of the homeowner. Everything from colors, style, room dimensions, lighting, flooring, etc…is discussed. I also request pictures and on occasion a homeowner will send a video, it can only help. Once I have a good understanding we begin the process normally with a succession of pictures/questions and then a mood board follows….
With certain plans I offer my substantial trade discounts for various items which include but are not limited to furniture, fabrics, rugs, lighting, wallpaper, etc……definitely makes it worth it nearly all the time as the savings can be enormous.
Well typically it involves someone who reads my blog, likes my taste but doesn’t live near me (though I have worked with people via e design who live not even an hour away). It works great for someone who is busy working, or raising a family or someone who just doesn’t want to go the traditional design route of hiring a designer. Normally that could be for a multitude of reasons from cost, to convenience to not feeling like they are making progress fast enough (e design is quite speedy),etc……
Someone who is not on the computer often and regularly or who is not comfortable on a computer. Someone who needs to see and feel things in person. It is honestly great for nearly all but the few exceptions would be what I have listed above.
On average about 3 weeks for the average sized job. Small jobs can be done in a week and larger jobs can continue off and on for a few months (or longer). I try to wrap up small-med jobs within 3 weeks. Larger jobs can take longer. I do however make myself available long after for any kind of consultation/followup.
"In the midst of building our home, I was overwhelmed by all of the choices I had to make. Having seen some of Tina's amazing work in her own home, I knew I had to contact her to help me with design choices. I asked Tina to choose fabric for my kitchen and powder room. After having a clear idea of my goals and objectives, Tina began to work her magic. She carefully selected a collage of gorgeous fabrics and had me select a few of my favorites. As soon as my selection was made, Tina had samples mailed to me for a second look. Once I made my decision, Tina personally went to the design studio to review the fabrics and make sure the proper amount and type of fabric was ordered. Tina was patient with me and responded quickly to all of my questions. I felt that Tina was extremely considerate of my needs and allowed me the time I needed to make decisions. When Tina went to see one of the fabrics we ordered she was not happy with the way it looked. She immediately said '...you know, this is not right... it's not good enough and I wouldn't put it in my house so I don't think it's right.' With that, we selected another fabric and it was perfect.I fully intend to work with Tina again. Tina strives to capture the elegance and beauty in each and every home and she truly has a passion for what she does."
Thank you so much for the help you gave me decorating my bathroom. It amazed me how quickly and cheerfully you responded to my questions. You are a warehouse of great ideas and pictures. You helped make the process fun and your great advice took the anxiety out of the selection process for me. Truly you are a delight to work with. Thanks so much for your help and kind words along the way.
"As an Interior Designer, I am always looking to bloggers, magazines and friends in the industry for inspiration. I love executing projects for my clients, but committing to my own home can sometimes be daunting as my choices are endless! I have always enjoyed Tina's blog and have followed her since the beginning, waiting patiently for each new update on her fabulous home. So, when I 'hit a wall', I contacted Tina to share my ideas on what I was thinking for our family room. A second opinion is just what I needed and Tina's tole sconces from her online store were the finishing touch. Not only do we share a birthday but through the design process, I made a friend! Tina is helpful, a true professional and so easy to collaborate with."
"My home is undergoing the most beautiful transformation, thanks to Tina from the Enchanted Home. I have long admired her gorgeous lifestyle blog and after some frustration with local designers, I reached out to Tina for help via e-design. Through this process, Tina has brought her exquisite taste to every aspect of my project. She is inspired, responsive, and every facet of our project has been superbly executed. Her innate ability to understand my style preferences is uncanny at times! Tina has been a complete joy to work with and I feel very lucky to have found such a truly talented designer."
"I had a very challenging project as presented to me when I bought an existing home that was badly in need of a remodel. Tina has helped me create my vision. She has been there every step of the way, guiding me through textures, colors, and style. Tina has helped me avoid costly mistakes and second guessing myself. She always responds quickly to my questions which has helped keep my project on schedule. Tina has a great network of resources which made our selections much easier and quicker. She has provided me with much inspiration and has enabled me to bring my dreams and vision to reality. Tina has exquisite taste and I couldn't of done this project without her."
"I cannot say enough about working with Tina. Not only did she do an unbelievable job (one that a previous local decorator could not execute) but she was a joy to work with. I never thought I could have made the decisions I did via email but we did and everything came out even more beautiful that we could have imagined. Her eye for detail and color is a gift. We were so excited to have worked with her and we more than achieved what we set out to do. Thank you Tina."

"I thoroughly enjoyed working with Tina through her e-design services! When she sent the first 'mood board' to me I immediately thought "Ahhh!" it was exactly the direction I wanted to go and it was such an easy and enjoyable experience. Tina was quick to answer emails, offer advice, and help me collect my thoughts as we created spaces together. After admiring Tina's home 'from afar' in the blog world, it has been a joy to work with her personally!"
