Hi there! Hope everyone is enjoying a beautiful fall weekend. Our weather has been spectacular lately, cool and crisp just how I like it. Plans 3 nights in a row, so today is a day I have really been looking forward to. Going to play a little pickleball(supposed to be unusually warm) and then will get my time with Phillip and look forward to a lot of down time later.

My days have been super busy, working, getting started with our renovation but the highlight of every single day is getting to spend a few hours with my precious little cherub,  Philip.  To say I am totally smitten would be a huge understatement, my cuddles with him are indescribable and he is one of the few humans that actually seems to like my singing:)

I never related to when people would say “just wait until your become a grandmother” and those words still feel so new to me, but oh my, it is indeed another emotion on an entirely different level! OK, onward to my post today….

1 BREAKFAST IN BED NEVER LOOKED SO PRETTY!  I wanted to share these new chinoiserie wood breakfast trays! We will offer them in 3 colors to start and may add other colors down the road. I mean, how beautiful is this? It’s like eating off of a painting! Stay tuned, we will have these well before Christmas. Working on finishing the final details then they go into production this week…

2 YOUNGS FARM AND MY FRONT DOOR  We have a charming little farm/market near our home. When I step inside, it’s like going back in time. Think of a sophisticated little Vermont country tore that happens to bake the BEST pies (especial apple crisp and pecan). Such a fun little stop which I try to do weekly…gives me  a few minutes of a nice little respite:)

This year I was, to not mince words, lame in my fall decorating. It’s been so busy and I just didn’t make it a priority. I didn’t get a single mum nor a real pumpkin. When I finally decided to go pick up mums, what was left was so sad looking, the runts of the bunch, I couldn’t bring myself to buy any. So my 24″ chinoiserie pumpkins to the rescue! Its the best I could do this year, best part…no maintenance required!

3 INSTAGRAMS OF INTEREST A lovely assortment of beautiful and inspiring instagrams from this week…..

4 YELLOWSTONE IS COMING BACK! We loved Yellowstone, even if you don’t like that genre, the incredible scenery and beautiful homes are pure eye candy but we are fully invested in the storyline and sad this will be the last season, it is set to debut early Nov. and cannot wait!

5 UPDATE ON OUR RENOVATION So yes, we have begun. I shared the demolition of part of the house, and now thy are digging the new basement part of that house and then pouring of the foundation, then  framing will start hopefully in a few weeks. THEN we will move along to the second part of the house at which point we will need to move out (could be late Nov/early Dec) So things are happening though this stage is quite boring and anticlimactic, not much to show. I am going to soon start doing a series on my ideas for my renovation, probably sometime next month so that will be a fun project to work on. It all starts with a dream!

Here are five very unglamorous shots of where things stand at this very minute-

6 TWO GREAT FASHION DOCUMENTARIES Surely we all know the name. I so enjoy a good fashion documentary and this one was as beautiful as it was faascating to get a behinds the scenes into the process in exotic locales…really enjoyable!

7 SUNDAYS SURVEY You know how much I enjoy getting your opinions on a whole host of things. So today’s subject is news. I am a self proclaimed former news junkie (kids and husband will attest to this) I would have typically had it on in my home TV’s, in my car, often on my phone. But with the horrible news that seems to dominate the news cycle both in our country and abroad I realized a few months ago it was literally causing a physical reaction in me, stomach aches, headaches, overall stress.

Because I would hear and see things that were so heartbreaking or infuriating (or both) and couldn’t’ shake it. So I have, in an effort, to save my sanity really cut back on my news watching. I now often opt for nice soothing jazz which most definably puts me in a better mood! The news did not used to fell so dark and dystopian. How about you? Check all that apply.

I am definitely coming back for those breakfast trays! A wonderful gift for a thoughtful neighbor…

The Oscar de la Renta documentary was terrific. Such talent and creativity. I learned so much about their process and I continue to admire and covet their work! Thanks for including it on your blog today.

I like being totally informed so Yes, I guess that qualifies for being a news junkie. The more you Know, the less BS can slip in and make you crazy. I’d rather be informed than bury my head in the sand or hold my nose. Those days are over for me.

Love the trays ! Cannot wait until available
Perfect for those with health issues that cannot make it to the table
Bring some cheer and beauty to my 95 year old neighbor!
Thank you

Tina, could you possibly send me the details re your blue and white dining room carpet? I think in your old home….soft blue with a rounded white diamond pattern…just had a huge flood and need to replace my bedroom carpet😢. Thankyou everso!

I,too, have not bought a pumpkin or mum. So totally not me, but you with a house renovation going on, you get a pass. But I do have a Halloween tree up . The grands know I like Halloween decor. I am excited for them to see Halloween 🎃 in Mimi’s house

Amen to TT’s comment. It is more important now than ever before to be informed about what is occurring in this great nation.

Will you please repost your France purchases? My daughter is in Paris on her honeymoon! Thank you.

And heartfelt congratulations on your new grandson!
